Brought to you by The Publicity Works Agency specializing in authors & musicians Remember We shine only when We make you shine Call us today at 941-567-6193 for a free PR evaluation! Post-rock masters GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT transform their superb debut after 20 years, live in studio! Post-rock masters GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT transform their superb debut after 20 years, live in studio! In 2022, with 20 years and a strong collection of masterful, acclaimed albums to their name, Irish post-rock maestros GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT come full circle with their live studio output, The Beginning Of The End. Recorded live at Windmill Lane Recording Studio in Dublin, Ireland on October 3, 2021, the album features modern transformations of all of the songs from their debut album, 2002's The End Of The Beginning, encompassing each track's evolutionary changes throughout the band's years of live performances while allowing the original melodies and songwriting to shine through. In addition to audible advancements in musicality, the release of The Beginning Of The End could not be more relevant than in these current dark times. War themes are strikingly evident on tracks such as the aforementioned "From Dust to the Beyond", as well as "The End of the Beginning" – named after a quote credited to Prime Minister Winston Churchill during the WWII era. Influenced by the chaos and futility of war, these themes are also reflected on the album's cover, created by the band in collaboration with returning artist David Rooney. Featuring a war-torn concert hall and a piano, the art is a defiant message reflecting that the power of music transcends war and time. Please welcome TORSTEN KINSELLA of God is an Astronaut to Interviewing the Legends PURCHASE THE NEW RELEASE The Beginning of The End By GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT's upcoming release, The Beginning Of The End, provides a sonic snapshot of the evolution of the Irish post-rock band over two decades. In celebration of the coming of the one who has the power to bring hope, healing, and joy, Megan Lemmons closes out our advent series "All Is Bright?" Sermon Notes - December 27All is Bright: Unplanned Journey - Megan Matthew 2:13-20After the wise men were gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up! Flee to Egypt with the child and his mother,” the angel said. “Stay there until I tell you to return, because Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.” That night Joseph left for Egypt with the child and Mary, his mother, and they stayed there until Herod's death. This fulfilled what the Lord had spoken through the prophet: “I called my Son out of Egypt.” Herod was furious when he realized that the wise men had outwitted him. He sent soldiers to kill all the boys in and around Bethlehem who were two years old and under, based on the wise men's report of the star's first appearance. Herod's brutal action fulfilled what God had spoken through the prophet Jeremiah: “A cry was heard in Ramah—weeping and great mourning.Rachel weeps for her children, refusing to be comforted, for they are dead.” When Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt. “Get up!” the angel said. “Take the child and his mother back to the land of Israel, because those who were trying to kill the child are dead.” Hope: The desire and expectation for something to come. Christian Hope: That God will make all things new and will restore all things. Hope as Trust: Trust that God is who he says he is, and will do what he said he would do. Live In obedience. Matthew 2:14-15aThat night Joseph left for Egypt with the child and Mary, his mother, and they stayed there until Herod's death. “We wait for the world to be as God intended it, the world as it should be. We wait for a world free of injustice, pain and violence, but it is not enough to simply wait, we must also prepare. Preparation goes beyond dreaming and invites us to participate in building a better world.” - Brandi Miller Your obedience in an active partnership with God towards goodness and restoration and wholeness. Be where you are. Matthew 2:18“A cry was heard in Ramah—weeping and great mourning.Rachel weeps for her children, refusing to be comforted, for they are dead.” Jeremiah 29:4-7This is what the Lord of Heaven's Armies, the God of Israel, says to all the captives he has exiled to Babylon from Jerusalem: “Build homes, and plan to stay. Plant gardens, and eat the food they produce. Marry and have children. Then find spouses for them so that you may have many grandchildren. Multiply! Do not dwindle away! And work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare.”
In celebration of the coming of the one who has the power to bring hope, healing, and joy, Marty Miranda closes out our advent series "All Is Bright?" Sermon Notes - December 27All is Bright: Unplanned Journey - Marty To trust is to rely on, depend on and put our confidence in someone or something in order to gain a sense of safety, security, peace and hope. Psalm 62:8Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. Romans 5:1-5 (NLT)Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God's glory. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. Rely on Jesus more than ever. Bloom where you are planted. A Patient Endurance: Have a longer fuse! Christ-like Character: Experience the fruit of the Spirit in our life every day. A hope that doesn't disappoint: Something to look forward to. Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life. Psalm 62:8 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.

Corrie Ten Boom / Watchmaker & Resistance Worker / HollandOnce upon a time, a girl risked everything to do what was right. Her name was Corrie. From the time she was a small child, Corrie learned two things from her parents: how to make a broken watch tick and how to care for people in need. In this episode, the girls talk about winter accessories. Danie busts many moves, and Susie got bit hard by a knitty bug. Contest The 2015 LegendPrairie contest is running! Post in the Ravelry thread and tell us about your favorite fibery FO of the year. Events We're going to the Knitting Pipeline Retreat February 26-27, 2015 in Washington, IL! Finished Projects Susie started and finished her Cousteau Hat using With Pointed Sticks Rollerball Worsted in Ice Queen. It is her new favorite hat and she is basically living it now that it's turned bitterly cold. Danie finished her Fuzzy Hat, complete with fur trim and pom-pom. She also finished a pair of kid mittens, sheep sweaters, Bronco socks (with proven winning mojo!), some boot socks, and a Bluebird of Happiness. Current Projects Danie worked on a pair of husband socks, and on her Stained Glass Sock Yarn Blanket. She also started a pair of mittens out of her Fuzzy Hat leftovers, and has decided to make them fingerless mitts instead. She also started amazing self-striping socks using Kirbywirby Self-Striping Fingering in Circus Poodles. Susie worked on the second of her Socks in the Name of Science and has just gotten to the heel flap, and the first sleeve of her Glenfiddich sweater. She also cast on her Infinito, and has pretty much knit on nothing else since. Enhance the Stash In addition to the skein of Rollerball Worsted she used for her hat, Susie also acquired a skein of Ballpoint Sock in All Is Bright from With Pointed Sticks.
On this week's episode, we have special guest DEVIN R. BRUCE in the studio! Spoiler alert: he is the best. After a few dire warnings, Brandon, Danica and Devin talk about the upcoming Apocalypse Kow concert that will be happening at Variant Edition as a part of the ALL IS BRIGHT festival. Then, it's straight into a heap of comic recommendations, which includes a bit of everything, from art process, to a reimagining of a childhood favourite, to some of the most anticipated releases of the year (for us, anyway).
For nearly 30 years David has traveled the world as a New Thought musician, keynote speaker and workshop/retreat facilitator. His focus on remembering the Divine within and reclaiming that connection has empowered hundreds of thousands on their spiritual journey. The union of David’s charismatic message and heartfelt singing has elevated him to keynote speaker of choice in many nationwide churches, centers and global organizations. “In my world of effect, there will always be someone smarter, prettier/handsomer, richer, braver, and more talented than me. And eventually I learn that the gift of life isn’t about any of that; it’s about ceaselessly taking inventory of all the gifts I do possess and never abusing them through the waste of comparison. Throughout the 1980’s, David, along with the late Jerry Florence and Keith Kimberlin made their mark in New Thought history by helping pioneer an unexplored musical genre — “visionary vocal/positive music.” The trio, known as Alliance, became trailblazers when introducing original music specifically designed to support the metaphysical teachings that life reflects our thoughts. They toured/supported the beginning ministries of such notables as Louise Hay and Marianne Williamson. Alliance’s legendary blend and musical message helped establish them as one of the most successful vocal groups in the Spiritual recording field. David continued this musical path as a solo artist, releasing one critically acclaimed recording after another including The Healing Bridge, Travelin’ With The Angels, All Is Calm, All Is Bright, And Then It Is Morning, One With The World, and Worthy Shoes. As an ordained minister, David founded a Center for Spiritual Living in Mobile, Alabama and served as its senior minister for 4 years before accepting the position as senior minister for Spiritual Living Center of Atlanta, Georgia in the fall of 2010. Through his stateside non-profit, Khmer Child Foundation, David has established an ongoing fresh water well building facilitation project in the Siem Reap area of Cambodia, as well as created a non-government regulated school that provides free education, medical/hygiene assistance, agricultural and life skills training, all against the odds of poverty and bureaucratic restriction. The school, named Future Khmer Child, currently supports nearly 200 children and young adults all year round. As a respected teacher, writer and columnist, David is the author of the bestseller, Where Regret Cannot Find Me and his new book, The Grass Is Greener Right Here. David resides in Atlanta, GA.
