Not only were they an important part of the British war effort but their descendants still make up a unique ethnic group in the Caribbean. Stay tuned till the end to find out about the survivors of the unit who continued to fight the Americans under the union flag - even after the war was over. How Black American Slaves Freed Themselves

White people love to take all the credit, but Black American slaves freed themselves. That's right, they did it on their own with little to no help from white Americans. Many of the Americans who did fight for the union army, about 25% in total, fought not for the freedom of slaves, but for the right to citizenship, which they were promised if they fought against the south. Historians have largely left this fact out of the coverage of the Civil War, instead opting to paint a completely freedom obsessed picture of the mostly racist white North. Another 18% of the Northern forces was composed of men who had a least one parent who was an immigrant. Though these immigrants were born in America, their first language was most likely no English and it takes far more than one generation to become fully naturalized to a new country. That adds up to 43% or almost half of the union army. That means that about half of that army was not American at all, but a combination of different freedom loving people from around the world who were essentially being paid with acceptance into American culture for themselves and their families. Can we really say the motivation here was morality? No, not really. It was much more about gaining the opportunity to call oneself a true American, at least for that 43%. This was not a war about freeing slaves; it was a war about the haves and the have nots. As most war narratives are, it protested too much about its grand supposed goal of liberating the poor black people. Hell, they would not even fight alongside us for the most part (the only exception was the Navy, where very few battles took place) as most of the military brigades remained segregated throughout the war. Initially, black people had to beg to join the war effort because the Northern whites viewed blacks as unskilled at fighting war. This was later proven inaccurate as black soldiers gave the North the edge in winning the war. The truth is that very few Americans wanted to fight for their black fellow citizens, so few that the draft had to be initiated. Many racist Northerners rioted at the thought of having to fight a war to free black people. Further, the flood of people escaping the south caused land shortages and many newly freed slaves were shoved into camps where disease and starvation was common. So, what really freed the slaves if it was not these mythical white saviors? Well, slaves never really took kindly to slaver. They never really obeyed the way that hacks like Speilberg have implied. They were not crying and weeping under the boot of a ravenous master, praying for white Jesus to come and rescue them. They never took shit from their owners. Slaves took care of themselves. Today I have for you various stories of open slave rebellion, not from Nat Turner or any of the other famous slave revolts often taught as naughty stories to impressionable children; "don't be like Nat Turner kids, be like Martin Luther King and wait for the brick to hit you in the head before some crazy white man shoots you in the other side of your head". These are stories of everyday black working men and women who rebelled by either damaging property, refusing to work, refusing to travel, refusing to leave family members, walking off jobs, stealing the money they were owed it it was denied them, running away, and by brute force. These are not feel good make your white son or daughter dream about some mountaintop stories. These are kick you in the teeth, smash and grab action stories that make Total Recall look like a total flop. Descendants of African-American Slaves Identified!  The Marriage Covenant The 400 Year Prophecy of Israel The Blessings and the Curses The Spiritual and Political Fight GOD Is Revealing to Descendants of African-Slaves Their True Identity Recommended Research Links The Marriage Covenant GOD told Abraham HE was going to multiply his descendants as the stars in the heavens. He said they would be strangers and servants, afflicted and oppressed for 400 years. At the end of 400 years HE is going to judge that nation and bring them out of it. In the book of Exodus GOD went into a covenant (aka marriage contract) with the descendants of Israel. The covenant lists GOD's expectation of Israel as HIS spiritual wife. Basically, the contract consists of blessings if they are faithful, and curses if they are unfaithful. The specific details of the contract are written in the book of Deuteronomy chapters 27 through 30. The 400 Year Prophecy of Israel On January 8, 2018, the U.S. Government signed into Law, H.R. 1242 (115th): 400 Years of African-American History Commission. In August 2019, President Trump officially commemorated 400 years of African Slavery in America. History shows that the tribes of Israel are scattered through-out all the 7 continents in the world. The scattering of Israel to these continents took place via ships of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. Historical records show hundreds of thousands of these slaves were from the Tribe of Judah. America received its first cargo of African Slaves in 1619. The Blessings and the Curses Every curse written in the book of Deuteronomy has happened to the descendants of African Slaves brought to America. HE also explained to them what they needed to do if they wanted HIM to take away the curses. Most importantly, they will have to stop worshiping pagan gods, and obey Torah. Given that many descendants of African Slaves in America, do not realize their heritage is Israel, mainly the tribe of Judah. Mostly caused by cultural identity destruction imposed on them by their slavers. Firstly, they were forbidden to speak their native language or to worship the GOD they identified with. Secondly, their slavers enacted laws that denied them reading and writing skill for 200 years. Finally, the slavers separated families by selling each member of the family to different slavers. By doing these things they completely destroyed the identity, culture and worship system of the slaves. The Spiritual and Political Fight Today the descendants of African-American Slaves are not aware of their covenant with GOD. They don't realize it exists because they don't know their GOD. They were taught the GOD of Christianity, aka the New Testament; not the GOD of Torah, aka the Old Testament. They don't realize the Old and the New are One, and you cannot have one without the other. Henceforth, their enslavers are successful with oppressing, mistreating, and snaring them; for the purpose of concealing their identity. Consequently, the leaders of the world work together to conceal the identity of the descendants of African-American Slaves. They know when these descendants realize they are in covenant with the Living GOD, they will faithfully worship HIM. GOD is Revealing to Descendants of African-Slaves Their True Identity. As a final point, GOD Himself is opening the eyes of many descendants of African-American Slaves. HE is letting them know they are Hebrew-Israelites. Hebrew first because Abraham was Hebrew, and Israelites second, because GOD's covenant at Mount Sinai was made with the descendants of Israel. As a final comment, we are living in the last days before the Messiah returns to set up His Kingdom of Righteousness on earth.  GOD wants all of us, Israelites and Gentiles to be a part of HIS Kingdom of Righteousness. Nevertheless, HE will not accept any of us if we refuse to be faithful to HIM. I pray that this Podcast Episode will help you seek GOD for a...

The game features questions that span decades of music, movies, television shows and literature with clues ranging from obvious to obscure. The five categories, S = Music, A = Books, Literature, the Arts, Y = Television, I = Movies, T = People, Places, and Things. Check out what the game is about from the crew. Was racism why Adele beat Beyoncé at the Grammys? Even Adele thinks Beyoncé "Lemonade" won for best urban contemporary album. Her hit "Formation" won for best music video. There have actually been a few artists of color who have won album of the year during that time period: "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" in 199; Carlos Santana's "Supernatural" won the following year; "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below" by Outkast took home the Grammy in 2004 and Ray Charles won posthumously in 2005 for "Genius Love Company". Those claiming benefits must be 40% descendants of slaves, and born in the United States. Spanning the 19 years between 1989 and 2008, BET's Rap City was the longest running hip-hop TV show in history. It helped rap grow from urban shout to suburban obsession in the late Eighties, documented the initial reigns of Los Angeles and Atlanta in the Nineties and, most famously, helped make freestyling fashionable in the image-conscious society. To represent this, we had in studio BET Rap City Hosts (1989-93) Hans "Prime" Dobson and Prince Dajour (1991-94). You HAVE to check this interview out to get the oral history from the pioneers!
