The weekend off football has come to and end! The Bengals go into Buffalo and embarrass the Bills. Josh Allen looks to be regressing, while Joe Burrow rises into the echelon of elite QB's. The Eagles soar to a nearly flawless victory over the Giants, the era of Daniel Jones in NYC looks to be ending. Jacksonville keeps pace with KC until the end, leaving the game in Mahomes's hands to win and as he has done in years past finds a way to win the game to advance to the AFC Championship game. San Fran continues their winning ways, with another dominant defensive performance over Dak Prescott and the Cowboys. The Mariners find themselves in a sticky situation with Aaron Goldsmith. He has been announced as the front runner for the opening with the St. Louis Cardinals for their broadcasting position. Who should replace him if he does leave? Would you rather pay Geno Smith 30 plus a year, or pay Drew Lock and save the $ for a defensive lineman? Tune in today to listen!

JT Sports reacts to the Sunday NFL Wild Card matchups featuring the Miami Dolphins vs Buffalo Bills, New York Giants vs Minnesota Vikings, and Baltimore Ravens vs Cincinnati Bengals. The Buffalo Bills managed to escape with a win over a banged-up Dolphins team that they were expected to beat by multiple possessions. The Miami Dolphins defense forced 3 turnovers on Josh Allen leading to 17 points by the Miami offense. Even though the Bills got the win, will Josh Allen's turnover problems keep the Bills from making the Super Bowl? The New York Giants beat the Minnesota Vikings 31-24. Giants QB Daniel Jones had an impressive performance throwing for 301 yards and 2 touchdowns along with 78 rushing yards on the ground. The Vikings defense was as bad as advertised getting torched all game by the New York Giants offense to go with questionable coaching decisions by Kevin O Connell, which led to Minnesota's loss. The Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens faced off for the third time this season in the Wild Card round. Despite not having Lamar Jackson the Ravens led by their stout defense were able to hang around with the Bengals until a late goal-line fumble by backup QB Tyler Huntley was recovered and returned 98 yards for a Cincinnati touchdown. The Bengals offense lost another starter on the offensive line and go into the divisional round down 3 starters on the offensive line. Can Joe Burrow and the Bengals still make the Super Bowl despite their injuries? Following the Ravens loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in the Wild Card round many fans and analysts speculated if Lamar Jackson was healthy enough to play or if he was truly injured. Was Lamar Jackson not playing due to contract negotiations? --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/jtsports/support

Stroud both showed in their Bowl games and this season that they have the talent that warrants a top-five pick? -What is the wisest possible move for the Bears to make with the first overall pick: Stand pat and take best non-QB or trade back a few spots with the Colts at 4 and accumulate more picks? 3. Did we just see Aaron Rodgers play his final snap as a Packer, if not his final snap as an NFL QB altogether? 4. Coaching Carousel -Would you consider the Panthers as the most attractive head coaching job, even if Sean McVay leaves the Rams? -If the Cowboys go one-and-done in the playoffs again, would you be surprised if Jerry Jones fires Mike McCarthy? -Of the three hottest first-time candidates, which one do you see being the most successful: DeMeco Ryans, Shane Steichen or Ben Johnson? -If you were a head coaching candidate this cycle and the Texans offered you the job, how hesitant would you be to take the job given the fact that the Texans just fired two head coaches in the past two years alone? 5. Chargers at Jaguars Preview -Headed into this game, what alarms you the most: The Chargers run defense, Trevor Lawrence's struggles the past two weeks, or the Jaguars inability to cover tight ends? -Did Brandon Staley commit a fireable offense by playing the starters longer than he should have last week? -Game-deciding matchups: Jamaree Salyer/Trey Pipkins vs. Josh Allen/Travon Walker, Walker Little/Jawaan Taylor vs. Joey Bosa/Khalil Mack, Jaguars iOL (Brandon Scherff, et al) vs. Chargers DL (Sebastian Joseph-Day, et al) -Picks 6. New York has some of the best football teams in the country; John Brenkus, creator of Sports Science, joins to talk about concussions; and Tom Luginbill of ESPN previews week 7.
1. Week 16 Takeaways -DKrom: It was a crazy journey to get there, but the Chiefs and Bills appear to be the two best teams in the AFC after all, Josh Allen putting himself in elite company, Houston Texans have been a MUCH better team than most of us thought -Hal: Hal is completely off the Cardinals bandwagon, Chargers still doing Charger things 2. Truth or Exaggeration -The Houston Texans should not spend a premium draft pick on a QB and give Davis Mills a full-year tryout in 2022 -Joe Burrow has cemented himself as a top-10 QB in the NFL -If the Dolphins make the playoffs, Brian Flores is the 2021 NFL Coach of the Year -Regardless of how their season ends, the 49ers must make Trey Lance the full-time starter in 2022 -The Jaguars hiring Packers OC Nathaniel Hackett as their new head coach would be a very wise move -If he doesn't retire, Aaron Rodgers will play for the Packers in 2022 -After two seasons, the Carolina Panthers should pull the plug on Matt Rhule 3. This or That -Who had the bigger impact on the game of football: John Madden or Vince Lombardi? -Assuming they get the NFC's #1 seed, which team should the Packers fear more: Cowboys or Bucs? -Which non-Chiefs AFC West team is more likely to make the playoffs: Chargers or Raiders? -Who was the bigger Pro Bowl snub: Roquan Smith or Creed Humphrey? 4. Chiefs at Bengals Preview 5. Picks for all other Week 17 Games -Falcons at Bills -Giants at Bears -Dolphins at Titans -Raiders at Colts -Jaguars at Patriots -Bucs at Jets -Eagles at Washington -Rams at Ravens -Broncos at Chargers -Cardinals at Cowboys -Panthers at Saints -Lions at Seahawks -Vikings at Packers -Browns at Steelers 6. Bold Predictions -Hal: Jonathan Taylor 274 yards rushing and 4 TD in win over Raiders -DKrom: Steelers win thanks to 5 INT off of Baker Mayfield, including two pick-sixes (one by Joe Haden, the other by Joe Schobert, both former Browns) 7. Challenge Flags -DKrom: Packers…DON'T TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE GAS!!! -Hal: Big Ben…go out like a champion!!!

https://youtu.be/IB1-Sm16QAw The NFL will undergo its first significant regular-season schedule change since 1978, as the owners approved to add a 17th game to the schedule beginning in 2021. The change was a year in the making as the owners had the option in the new collective bargaining agreement to increase the number of regular-season games per club to 17 -- but not more -- at any time. The change will also result in the league reducing preseason games from four to three -- the maximum amount of games the new CBA allows. "This is a monumental moment in NFL history," said NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. "The CBA with the players and the recently completed media agreements provide the foundation for us to enhance the quality of the NFL experience for our fans. And one of the benefits of each team playing 17 regular-season games is the ability for us to continue to grow our game around the world." One of the biggest changes to the schedule will be the interconference alignment for the 17th game. Teams will play five interconference games instead of four as AFC teams will get the home game for the 2021 season (which will rotate to the NFC the following season). The NFC East will play the AFC East, NFC West vs AFC North, NFC South vs. AFC South, and NFC North vs. AFC West -- as the matchups are determined from division finish from the 2020 season. Here are the matchups for the 17th game: Packers at Chiefs Bears at Raiders Vikings at Chargers Lions at Broncos Seahawks at Steelers Rams at Ravens Cardinals at Browns 49ers at Bengals Saints at Titans Buccaneers at Colts Panthers at Texans Falcons at Jaguars Washington at Bills Giants at Dolphins Cowboys at Patriots Eagles at Jets Under new the scheduling formula, every team plays 17 regular-season games with one bye week. Clubs will host 10 games overall – either nine regular-season games and one preseason game or eight regular-season games and two preseason games. Home and away against its three division opponents (six games). The four teams from another division within its conference on a rotating three-year cycle (four games). The four teams from a division in the other conference on a rotating four-year cycle (four games). Two intraconference games based on the prior year's standings (two games). These games match a first-place team against the first-place teams in the two same-conference divisions the team is not scheduled to play that season. The second-place, third-place and fourth-place teams in a conference are matched in the same way each year. One interconference game based on the prior year's standings on a rotating four-year cycle (one game). These games match a first-place team from one division against a first-place team in an opposite conference division that the team is not scheduled to play that season. The second-place, third-place and fourth-place teams in each division are matched in the same way each year. The home conference for this game will rotate each season. Durgin was released after refusing to upgrade his 10 year old mic and starting a fight with Cyrus and calling him a derogatory name. We wish him the best in New England. Cyrus and Casey carry on and give their winners and losers from week 1 - including the good old Browns, dismal Dolphins, and Jameis the turnover machine. Cyrus gives an excessive amount of winners like the Ravens and the definitively not worst QB in the league Lamar Jackson. Casey says that the undersized QB in Arizona gives the Cardinals something to be excited about and the Colts shouldn’t fear the loss of Luck. The episode is wrapped up by our top games and picks for week 2 and a divisive take on the toilet bowl of the Bills @ Giants. Instagram: @weekly_spiral Twitter: @weeklyspiral Facebook: /weeklyspiral
