This week… The dudes are reunited and raunchier than ever. Andy joined in and talked all things sports and entertainment. They discussed the drama surrounding the Milwaukee Bucks, Doc Rivers and JJ arm sleeve Reddick. Saltburn definitely burned. Kärel sabotaged himself battling the dictionary, and the Urban Dictionary helped fellas find a new way to keep their hands warm. Max and Kärel mapped out their HUA 5K run and set parameters for the race. They ended the show reading listeners' problems and giving them bad advice. But, before any of that nonsense, they saved the best for first, with the Beer of the Week! During the BOW the fellas rate and review a new beer. They break down the beer by its drinkability, the probability they'd drink it again, its chugability, and the can's attractability. Find out if BlackStack Brewing's Local 755 IPA passed the HUA test. Beer of the Week: 05:30 - 41:45 In the Now w/ Andy!: 44:27 - 1:47:55 Taking on the Dictionaries: 1:54:38 - 2:18:30 Darts & Challenges: 2:21:40 - 3:12:20 Bad Advice: 3:13:33 - END BOW: BlackStack Brewing, Local 755 IPA COW: Run the HUA 5k! It's the end of November after the conclusion of week 12 of the 2022 NFL season here on Brewstilled. In this edition, I'll be discussing the Thanksgiving Day games and the weekend action. Can The Vikings catch up to the Eagles? Where will Odel Beckman Jr sign? The struggles continue with the Denver Broncos and The Arizona Cardinals. Will The Cardinals and Broncos make a change in the coaching position? The Sunday night game opened a new storyline with The Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rogers as Roger left the game due to an injury. Should the Packers start Jordan Love going forward? All this and more will be discussed here on Brewstilled with an IPA from Blackstack Brewing as the beer pairing!
Week 3 of the 2022 NFL season has just concluded, and the storylines are starting to emerge. The Miami Dolphins remain the NFL's only undefeated team. How far will the Dolphins go? With Mac Jones injured, are the New England Patriots in trouble? The Packers and the Buccaneers faced off in Tampa in where the Packers won. Are they destined for a rematch in the NFC Championship? LaMar Jackson is also making a case for MVP. Also, the storylines are starting to brew and distill in the 2022 NFL season, and I have it here on Brewstilled. Tune in and be brewed and be distilled! A beer from Blackstack Brewing is on tap!
BlackStack Brewing has built quite a reputation off of exceptionally well-crafted hazy IPAs, and we have three of them in this lineup to prove it's true. Craig also managed to find two other styles to help us better understand this five year-old brewery out of St. Paul, MN. You gotta love a show that challenges your expectations of style, and this one reinvigorates some haze appreciation on our part. Also, Craig excitedly recaps his time at the World's Largest Bouncy Castle; Ryan invokes Patio Dad to gain a new perspective on haze; and we're a little nostalgic for the Kveik Days of 2019. Also, Google translates into peanut butter, Roll Your Own Ham nights, and (heavy sigh) Critical Meat Theory. Beers Reviewed Giving Trees (Mixed culture foeder-fermented Berliner Weisse w/ apple cider, cinnamon, granola, and brown sugar) DDH 755: HBC 586 (NEIPA) Kveik 755 (NEIPA) Trust the Process (DDH DIPA) Maximum Drip (Milk stout w/ coffee)
Welcome to another banger of an episode featuring beers that Nox really wants you to know about! With returning guests Chris Larson and comedian Zach Rameden, we run the gambit on six brews made recently that need some highlighting for our audience. In this episode we sample and review Junkyard Brewing's Plowable Snow IPL with mosaic, Blackstack Brewing's It's Legal There clear DIPA collab with Hop Head Farms, Hasta Barista coffee blonde ale from Junkyard, His Dudeness imperial white stout from Central Waters Brewing, Southern Tier's Thick Mint imperial milk stout, and Firestone Walker's Gold Rider vintage 2022. Eric, Dan — and briefly Evan (!) — return to their respective mics to review The Ballad of Dood & Juanita the seventh studio album from country's favorite rock 'n' roll outlaw Sturgill Simpson. Every new album seems to mark a change in sound for 'ol Sturgill and this one is no different. Next up, Dan and Eric report back in after consuming Beard Vitamin Gummies from Mad Viking Beard Co. for 30 days. Did they get results? Tune in to find out. And remember ... we ingested these gummies for all of you. Finally, in the beer portion of the episode Dan reviews The Great Blackstack Bakeoff: Pineapple Upside Down Cake from Blackstack Brewing. Meanwhile, Eric revisits Voodoo Ranger Atomic Pumpkin from New Belgium Brewing. Because there's nothing like a spicy pumpkin beer to mark the end of summer.
The Commish is drinking the highly rated Mommy Dearest DIPA from BlackStack Brewing and Sandro's got Cali-Squeeze's Blood Orange Wheat, but Coley brought in a most banger of a beer this week with Newgrass Brewing's Space TrashBlueberry Coconut Cobbler Sour Ale.Oktoberfest season is nigh, and the tradition for that season is strong. Sandro goes over the traditions, the traditional beer, and the history so nobody schnitzels inappropriately. The seltzer wave hit everyone hard, but numbers say it's receding, and the Commish's story of the common Olyphant/Duhamel Mixup was fraught with inaccuracies.Plus, Molson Coors is making some decisions regarding a bet the BoozeCast has with Craft Beer Republic, McCormick still hasn't chosen their Director of Taco Relations, and Florida Man has a heck of an issue with a giant lizard in the toilet.

Welcome to Batch 253, beer lovers! We're very excited to have the salty sailor herself, Erica (NeckNosh), back on the show! We're talking about more drunk stories, checking our voicemail, drinking some great beers, and getting disappointed when beers don't match their description. Greg is drinking Business Hippies, a collaboration between Listermann Brewing Company and Blackstack Brewing. We trap Erica into sharing her drunk story about trying to clean up a mess, and we check our voicemail to find a story about throwing up all over someone's clothes. Things turn serious. There is a massive problem in the craft beer industry with sexism, racism, misogyny, and exclusion. It must be discussed, or nothing will ever change. Thank you to @ratmagnet on the gram for being a conduit for these brave people to come forward with their stories. Erica is drinking Fresh Out the Oven (Version 9) from Burning Barrel Brewing. Who needs dessert?Ninkasi Brewing is divorcing from Legacy Breweries to take over their own operations. And our crew is skeptical about some new Nitro Hard Teas that are hitting the market.Flex is sipping on Locked Layers, a double IPA from Phase Three Brewing.California is looking to make to-go alcohol a permanent fixture. A drunk driver got really annoyed at a parked car. And a designated driver has a few and causes some destruction.Cheers to Philadelphia, PA, for being our top listening city for last week!We want you to drunk dial us at (805) 538-BEER (2337); we'd love to hear from you! This week the 3rd Best Crew welcomes Murph Johnson from Blackstack Brewing onto the pod to argue over which MF DOOM album is the Champion of the Bronze Medal and spends way too long wistfully remembering live music. Thank you to Ben Granger for the theme song!
We're talking about "Frank's 2000" TV" today. Everybody come and see! You won't believe it! We dig into things like... How big is this TV really? Would Robert De Niro's mole REALLY be 10 feet wide? Musical evolution, fever dreams, TV shows, how John's daughter pronounces things, and so much more. Lauren even comes in hot with some beer knowledge and some free writing composition lesson plan advice. There may or may not be a brief moment of opera singing. John has Slightly Mighty from Dogfish Head (because he had to mention Delaware at least once) and Lauren has Free Strata from BlackStack Brewing. Cheers! Our promo this week is for Married Mash. They are a great husband and wife podcast for whiskey/bourbon tasting. Check them out!https://twitter.com/MarriedMashhttps://anchor.fm/married-mash

The BBR crew took a much needed weekend off, but not to worry, we do have an episode tucked away just for such an emergency! Recorded June 14th, we go over an astounding 9 brews total. With our guest Blake back on, there's sure to be an argument or three about how the following beers taste: From Icewind we have the Mapleton Margarita Lime Gose, the Sundog Lager, and the Wynona Porter. From 903 brewing in Texas we have sample their Kilt Switch Scotch Wee Heavy and their Sherman Bock German Bock. We also sample and review a collab between Blackstack Brewing and Falling Knife Brewing called Chop Chop. Then Dorothy's new World Lager from Toppling Goliath, followed by Schell's Shift Happens DDH Lager, and Thesis Beer Project's Thesis Pieces: After Dark Imperial Peanut Butter Porter. This is the last episode we recorded in the dungeon just before the real serious quarantine hit us here in the MidWest, so there might be some outdated information spoken in this one. We busted out all the disinfectant and lysol wipes we could find, cleaned everything, and stayed at least 6' apart, but we still got to have some fun, and drug ourselves through 13 different beers to boot. Nox needed to clean out his beer fridge, so we took what he had collected the last couple of months, and threw down! In this episode, we review All My Ghosts by Long Live Beerworks, Dragon Fandango by Toppling Goliath, 180 Schilling and Barrel Aged Mountain Standard Double Black IPA from O'Dell Brewing, Thirst Encounters of the Third Kind by Blackstack Brewing, and Revelation Ale Works' Purple Ribbon Pilsner. Drekker came in big with 3 brews: Toon Dip DDH DIP Hopped DIPA (a collab with Fair State Brewing Cooperative), Evil-Natured Robots DIPA, and Chonk Peanut and Jelly Sundae Sour. FInally we end the day with four from Junkyard Brewing. Queen of the Potluck Ambrosia-styled Wheat Ale, Here for the Cake pastry stout (a collab with local women of the brewing industry), Five-Day Rain NEIPA, and the Barrel Aged Wake Up Late stout aged in Willet barrels.
