 Sid talks to a couple of guys from Alabama who are founding members of one of the hottest young bands in the country—the Red Clay Strays. Brandon Coleman, the charismatic lead singer, spent his youth running around with siblings and cousins on a family compound outside of Turnerville, just north of Mobile. Meanwhile, Drew Nix, who plays guitar and writes a lot of the songs, grew up further north, in Birmingham. The two met through a mutual friend and eventually formed a country rock group that's made quite a name for itself, especially after their 2022 single, “Wondering Why.” Now the band is out with a new album called Made By These Moments, and they also have a song on the soundtrack for Twisters, one of the biggest movies of the past summer. Sid talks to the old friends and bandmates about their songwriting process, Brandon's recent Alabama wedding, plus the role of faith in their lives and their music. What's up Bros? RHOP finished on a better note. The final 2 episodes goes to show that there is definitely more to this cast than what we got for the second half of the season. Stacey is hosting her Strut for Strays event. Her best friend AJ gives the proper read on her relationship with TJ. Ashley has a week to go in her divorce settlement (allegedly). Karen is held to the fire this episode after Stacey spreads the word that Karen was talking trash about Wendy. Which is unfortunate because it just so happens to coincide with Wendy inviting Karen to the White House as a thank you for being a good friend. Chaos ensues at the Strut for Strays as Karen gets into it with Stacey. This was Stacey's coming out party. Not only does she throw some shade, she doesn't back down to the Grande Dame and secures her place as one of the best newbies we've seen in awhile. The episode ends with Karen headed to court and she is found guilty on multiple charges. Then a clip of the reunion gives us a glimpse of what appears to be a banger of a reunion. In 2016, they officially formed as the Strays, adding a couple players to round out the five-person outfit. After a few years gigging around the state and some festival slots, the band hit it big in 2023 when their song “Wondering Why” went viral on TikTok. It climbed up the Billboard charts and landed the band a deal with RCA Records. That led to their Dave Cobb-produced second studio LP, Made by These Moments, which was released on July 26.In September, the band made their debut at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on tour behind the record, and guitarists Drew Nix and Zach Rishel brought a beautiful stable of American-made 6-strings for the occasion.
