Consider this the inaugural music and friends episode, in which Harry (aka Haz) comes on to discuss Saba's album, Care For Me. Listeners might recall that Jake has expressed his love for this album in prior episodes, while Dylan gives it a listen for the first time ever before sitting down for this discussion. Exzellentes Storytelling.
Few Good Things is Chicago rapper and producer Saba's follow-up to 2018's widely acclaimed CARE FOR ME. In between, he's worked on projects with his collective Pivot Gang, J Cole's Dreamville, and the supergroup Ghetto Sage. On the new album, he's joined by heavy hitters like Black Thought, Krayzie Bone, and G Herbo. Saba stops by for a release day Listening Party.

Hello and welcome to episode 24! No Keifer Sutherland, though. Steven and Connor do talk, however, about Connor's true origins. If you can bear the brutal first five minutes of the pod, the hosts do eventually find their rhythm. They talk about the importance of having a high-speed transcontinental railroad in the United States, why nosebleeds just kinda suck, and also the loss of Guitar Hero and Rock Band. It should also be noted that they want to discuss top-5 animated films next week! If you want your films to be known, email us at iloveithereihateithere@gmail.com. You also get to hear probably our worst Love It segment of the entirety of this podcast when Steven talks about throw blankets. This week, Steven recommends Saba's CARE FOR ME. Connor recommends Fleetwood Mac's Rumors. As always, thank you for listening! Send in your mailbag questions, comments, concerns, insults, or what-have-you to iloveithereihateithere@gmail.com. Then Saba drops a two song sample pack with "Mrs. Whoever" & "Something in the Water" w/ Denzel Curry to then have the guys transition into this weeks Behind the Bars segment with "Calligraphy" by Saba from his 2018 album CARE FOR ME.
This episode we talk about Saba's song "Broken Girls" off his album Care For Me. It deals with toxic relationships and being attracted to people with issues and how unhealthy it can be. Sometimes we attract the lessons we need to learn in life, and sometimes we attract the love we think we deserve. Just gotta be conscious of the choices we're making when it comes to the people we're giving our time and energy to. Not everything is gonna last a lifetime, but you better learn some lessons and come out better than how u went in!
Each month this year, we're going to revisit an episode from the 200+ episodes in the AirGo Archives and bring that conversation back to the forefront. This month, we're revisiting our conversation with the magnificent recording artist Saba from 2015. Since then, Sab has ascended to a global spotlight–he killed a feature on Dreamville's collaborative Revenge of the Dreamers III, has released two critically-acclaimed projects Bucket List Project and CARE FOR ME, and now lives in LA with his brother Joseph Chilliams and his partner(who you may have heard on last week's episode). At the time of recording, Sab had recently released Comfort Zone, a beautiful project that solidified his spot as one of Chicago's hottest rising stars, and was about to play a show at Township, a small venue in Logan Square–the venue sold out so quickly that they ended up moving the show the day before. We talk about his craft, the solidification of Pivot Gang, and much more. Recorded 11/18/2015 on WHPK 88.5FM in Chicago Music from this week's show: Fighter - @sabapivot x @kainamusic
Saba's creepin' on ah come up. Thanks to a rabid social media following his sophomore album, Care For Me one of the most lauded projects this year. But things weren't always this positive for the Chicago native. A year ago, his PIVOT Gang partner and cousin, John Walt, was murdered. Finding solace in his music, Saba turned tragedy into triumph. Here, Saba talks about his latest work, beats, rhymes, and life. Original Publication Date: 6/7/18

Saba's "Care for Me" is one the rare times where a musician is able to be articulate in breaking down all the walls they put up dealing through a tragic event while also being able to place the listener in their head allowing them to take a walk in their struggles. It's pretty much a sonic masterclass in depression, anxiety, mourning, and survivor's remorse. From J. Cole's new album "KOD," the NFL Draft, the NBA playoffs, and if Kanye West has lost his damn mind siding with the H*e Ass N*gga In Office. The guys also have a very SPOILERIFIC conversation about “Infinity War” and if it will go down as one of the greatest superhero movies ever made. Other albums that get the review treatment include Saba's “CARE FOR ME,” Flatbush Zombies' “Vacation In Hell,” and Janelle Monáe's “Dirty Computer.” After you finish the show, make sure to check the April 2018 edition of the playlist, "Reign Down" on the following streaming platforms below: Apple Music: https://itunes.apple.com/us/playlist/the-illogical-sense-podcast-reign-down-april-2018/pl.u-XxJBTDY2Kgb Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/user/1252258694/playlist/4lcVkaptMZeQjDKYMJP0DU?si=5WEALLqYR8i_G9fMjeTTjQ Tidal: https://tidal.com/playlist/9ab53ce0-52a0-4a1a-bcf6-13021d959246
