This week we review Triangle of Sadness! Starring Harris Dickinson, Charlbi Dean, Vicki Berlin, Dolly de Leon, Zlatko Buric, Sunnyi Melles, and Woody Harrelson.
Hour 3 - Good Monday morning, friends! Here's what Nick Reed covers this hour: President Biden spoke earlier this morning regarding the Silicon Valley bank collapse. He, of course, blamed the previous administration. A “Democratic Party icon” has penned an essay apologizing to conservatives for the reaction of her former “tribe” to the release of footage from the January 6, 2021, incident at the Capitol. The 2023 Oscars In Memoriam segment on Sunday night has drawn criticism for those Hollywood names left unregarded including Anne Heche, Tom Sizemore, Paul Sorvino, Charlbi Dean, and Leslie Jordan.
We're back with part 2 of our 2023 Oscars coverage! In this episode, we look at the efforts taken to diversify the Oscars in the present day and pick our Big Five before Sunday's award ceremony, before diving into our movie: Ruben Ostlund's Triangle of Sadness (2022), a Best Picture nominee that attempts to make a statement on class, beauty, and equality. Triangle of Sadness stars Harris Dickinson, Charlbi Dean, Dolly de Leon, and Woody Harrelson and centers on a group of people struggling with a changing hierarchy while stranded on an island after luxury cruise. Plenty of Marx quotes, stolen pretzels, and vomit ensue. Oscars! Co-hosts Kenny and Mike discuss and spot faith issues reflected in the Best Film Oscar nominee Triangle of Sadness directed by Ruben Ostlund. The film stars Charlbi Dean, Harris Dickinson, Dolly De Leon,Zlatko Buric, Vicki Berlin, and Woody Harrelson Faith Issues Spotted: Identity of all persons as children of God and should be treated with dignity and respect regardless of social status, wealth, and perceived utility. For those with power, privilege, and voice, seeing these as blessings and how to use them righteously and be "influencers" for societal good. A reminder of the corrosive nature of power, whether passed down generationally, slowly achieved over time, or suddenly gained. We are drowning in prestige season, so it was time to see one of the most prestigious films of the year entitled Triangle of Sadness. Directed by acclaimed Swedish filmmaker Ruben Ostlund, this film won the Palme d'Or at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. Set mostly on a luxury cruise, this is a hilarious satirical black comedy making fun of the wealthiest people in the world. It stars Harris Dickinson, Charlbi Dean, Dolly de Leon, Zlatko Buric, Henrik Dorsin, Vicki Berlin, and Woody Harrelson as the drunken cruise ship captain. The Lodgecast recommends seeing Triangle of Sadness!
Carl in Yaya sta mlad manekenski par. Drugi dve tretjini delujeta pretežno v okviru prispodob, in bolj ko so življenjske situacije zaostrene, bolj se liki spreminjajo v karikature.

"Triangle Of Sadness" is one of the year's most entertaining films. After winning the Palme d'Or at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, audiences are finally getting the chance to experience Ruben Östlund's scathingly vicious takedown of the rich and powerful in his first English-language film. One of the many reasons why the film works as well as it does is because of the character Abigail, played by Filipina actress Dolly De Leon. She was kind enough to spend time talking with me about her role in the film, how she came on board, working with the late Charlbi Dean, what she has coming up next, and more! Please make sure to see the film now playing in theaters with the biggest crowd you can; take a listen down below and enjoy! Check out more on NextBestPicture.com Please subscribe on... This weekend we welcomed writer/director Ruben Östlund and cast members Dolly de Leon and Zlatko Burić to NYFF60 to present and discuss Triangle of Sadness, a Main Slate selection of this year's festival. Cinematic mischief maker Östlund liberally applies his customary playfulness to the wide canvas of his wildly ambitious, frequently hilarious latest film, which won the Swedish director his second Palme d'Or at this year's Cannes Film Festival. Kicking off as a satirical romance, following the bickering, money-soured relationship between two hot young models (Harris Dickinson and Charlbi Dean), the three-part film escalates into increasing absurdity after they are invited on a luxury cruise, where they rub elbows with the super-rich, as well as a disheveled and disillusioned, Marx-spouting sea captain (Woody Harrelson). To tell more would ruin the Buñuelian twists of this poison-dipped farce on class and economic disparity, which doesn't skewer contemporary culture so much as dunk it in raw sewage. Listen below as they discuss Triangle of Sadness, how the film shifted after working with collaborators, capturing beauty as a currency, and more with Dennis Lim. Don't forget to mark your calendars: Triangle of Sadness opens in select theaters this Friday, October 7th, from NEON. Tickets to the New York Film Festival are moving fast!
