I haven't done a messaging specific episode in a little while but in this particular episode, I want to chat about pain versus pleasure in messaging and figuring out which one actually drives your audience and drives your ideal client. Whenever we do these exercises, I always want you to think about it from the perspective of that ideal person buying from you because there is no point in you thinking about the current person buying from you if they are not your dream customer of client. We want to determine exactly if it is pain or pleasure that is driving them to make a purchase because if we don't know which one of those it is, we're probably not going to know exactly what to say or what to touch on across our marketing, social media and website. What I cover in this episode:Why nailing your messaging is crucial for conversionThe two types of messaging and how to balance them both in your communicationsWays to figure out and determine which type you should lean more into My personal experience with balancing the two types of messaging---Access The Brand Lab here.Join Studio Society here. Enrol in my brand strategy mini-course, Be That Brand.Want to work with me? As a business owner, you're always looking for ways to build your presence and attract attention to your brand. With all the marketing strategies out there, there's one that you must seriously consider: Writing a book.As a culture, we respect authors and consider them an authority in their field. They have achieved what few others ever do. Writing and publishing a book is the perfect answer to establishing yourself as a credible authority in your industry. Books are unique marketing vehicles, and for some authors, they can also become a source of extra income. If writing a book seems daunting, let me tell you how I wrote mine with the help of a book marketing strategist. Sandi Masori is here today to share what writing a book can do for your career or business. We also go over the seven steps to writing your book chapters. That should get you started. Sandi developed her book expertise organically by writing her book to promote her balloon business. That book led her to make over 100 TV appearances (including The Today Show). It also got her booked on stages as a speaker and ultimately brought in better clients excited to spend more money working with a celebrity author. Once Sandi wrote her first book, other experts asked her to help them with theirs. What began as a side gig quickly grew into a full-time business, and to date, Sandi has helped hundreds of authors self-publish their business authority or legacy books. Sandi is passionate about helping people achieve their publishing dreams. It's time to achieve yours. “What we're talking about here is the business authority book. And the purpose of that book is to set you up as an expert in your field.”- Sandi MasoriIn This Episode:My experience writing and publishing my bookHow to build your authority and multiply your conversionThe different types of books and which one you need to writeSteps to writing your book chaptersWhy should you include a CTA, and where do you put it?What is the ROI for writing and publishing a book? The transformational power of being an authorWhy healthcare professionals must write a bookBook format and platforms for distributionResources:Get a FREE copy of Sandi's Best-selling book "Book It" and the Self-Publishing Checklist - https://expertbook4u.com/Join the 90-day Functional Blood Work Specialist Program - https://drkylieburton.com/90day/Why Are My Labs Normal? May 28, 2023Acts 5:11-42The Fruit of Fearing God1. Conversion, v. 14-16“Too often our confessional theology says one thing, while our practical theology says something else. We say that regeneration makes us new creatures in Christ, but then we teach our kids a moralism that atheists could duplicate. We say that Christianity is about a trusting relationship with Jesus, but then we treat it like checking a box on a decision card. We say that only the Holy Spirit transfers a person from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light, but then we employ the marketing tools used for getting someone to switch brands of toothpaste. Again and again what we claim in our doctrinal statements about conversion doesn't match what our churches practice or their ministry models. So it shouldn't surprise us that our kids end up being something less than Christian.”              -Michael Lawrence, ConversionThe appeal of nice is based on three ideas...an optimistic view of human beingsa domesticated view of Goda view of religion as a means of moral self-reform2. “this Life” gets taught, v. 17-26Zoe life refers to the absolute fulness of life, both essential and ethical, which belongs to God; life real and genuine, a life active and vigorous, devoted to God, blessed. This life also involved things we see in this section like...jealousy, v 17 imprisonment, v. 18deliverance, v. 19instruction, v. 20the unexplainable, v. 24respect, v. 263. Consistency, v. 27-39 “We must obey God rather than man.”4. Godward joy, v. 40-42 So what do these two guys do…a) they rejoice, v. 41b) they continue, v. 42“And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not cease teaching and preaching that the Christ is Jesus.” Mental worship…1.  What would have to change in your life if you submitted to the simple truth, “We must obey God rather  than man?” 2.   Can God count you worthy to suffer for His name or would you misrepresent him in suffering?3.   How often do you Gospel people and circumstances that oppose you?4.   What do you rejoice over? 5.   Does your reputation exceed your reality?

“It's not what you sell that matters as much as how you sell it!”  Welcome to Episode 15: 10 Factors That Make Up The Perfect Landing Page What makes a killer landing page? One that captures your audience's attention, gets the message across, and inspires the reader to execute your call to action. So, how do we build these magic marketing pages? We need to look at the anatomy of these pages and take it step by step to build an effective marketing tool. Every great landing page is composed of a core group of elements. These building blocks should be used as a guide when creating your content. Now, this may sound counter intuitive. After all, isn't good marketing all about finding ways to stand out from the crowd? Why would we want to limit ourselves to a pre-existing landing page format? Won't your content end up being … basic? But here is where we find it fitting to use the old adage; “know the rules well, so you can break them effectively” … It turns out that almost all successful landing pages are made up of the same things, they've got the fundamentals down. No matter their intended audience, or the price point of what they're offering. This is largely because the structure of a landing page aligns to persuade and attract our intended audience. Now, let's dive in and blow our audiences away with a landing page that turns heads! Here's what we will be untangling in this episode ...The TOP 10 factors to know while building a landing pageHow clear and concise copy can make or break your pageHow to build a call to action that creates conversionThe role social media plays in using these critical marketing tools Are you ready?Pop in your awesome earbuds and let's dive in!

Often times friends and family are discouraged from asking how they can help you succeed. There is the misconception that it will always include money or possibly wearing a shirt they don't like. (Hey, you've seen the shirts too) Support can be given in many different ways and each way has its own significance. 1. Sharing a post or link2. Leaving a thoughtful comment 3. Telling someone about what they do4. Sending them an opportunity you think they may like 5. Giving them a Chik Fil A gift card. Okay, that last one may be a personal one but you get the idea. Support looks like you a listening ear when they need it or simply a hug. The most valuable you can do is acknowledge the hustle you see in them because they may not always see it themselves. Matter of fact, most speakers and authors honestly don't think that they are doing enough. They won't say it but they are always looking at the numbers. What numbers and I talking about? The conversionThe open rate The following The DM's Oh the list goes on. Exposure expands our opportunities and unfortunately it expands our anxiety. That is why there is such a huge significance to Instagram removing the likes on the platform. There is another reason why family and friends don't always support. It's a harsh truth pill to swallow but some of you are not consistent. You change business ideas like underwear. Don't fret because you are not alone in this. The way to get past it is to execute at 150% in what you are doing. Actions speak much louder than words do. This episode will give you some hard truths and easy tips to get the support you need and deserve.
