We celebrate moms and spiritual mothers, acknowledging the joy and the aches holidays can bring (loss, struggle, longing). Jesus meets each of you in your unique story. He knows what you need. Jesus deeply loved His own mother and all women, treating them with radical dignity, respect, and compassion—truly countercultural for His time.Key Points:Jesus' Radical View of Women:Spoke respectfully to them (Samaritan woman, John 4; woman caught in adultery, John 8).Healed them publicly (Peter's mother-in-law, Mark 1; woman with issue of blood, Mark 5; bent-over woman, Luke 13).Affirmed their faith & worth. Many women followed & financially supported His ministry (Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Susanna - Luke 8). Mary of Bethany learned at His feet (Luke 10).Entrusted women as first witnesses of His resurrection (Matt 28, John 20).These women, freed from shame, became deeply devoted, bold partners in His mission.Celebrating Women in Our Church Family – Echoes of Biblical Strength:Mary of Bethany (Matt 26): Extravagant worshippers, pouring out your most valuable for Jesus. Like her, Radiant women, you've done beautiful things for Him.Miriam (Exodus 15): Leading in worship, singing songs of deliverance, reminding us God brings us to dry land.Esther (Esther 4:16): Courageous, sticking your necks out for others' freedom and safety, saying "If I perish, I perish."Ruth (Ruth 1:16-17): Faithful, loyal, obedient, choosing right relationship over comfort, loving for the long haul: "Where you go, I will go."Widow of Zarephath (1 Kings 17): Hospitality in scarcity, giving generously from little, trusting God's miraculous provision.Lydia (Acts 16): Businesswomen and those with abundance, leveraging success and resources for God's Kingdom.Hannah (1 Sam 1:27-28): Prayer warriors, contending earnestly, prevailing on God, and lending your answered prayers back to Him.Mary at Lazarus' Tomb (John 11:28-35): Raw faith in grief, falling at Jesus' feet, finding Him as the God who weeps with us & brings comfort.Deborah (Judges 4-5): Strong leaders with prophetic wisdom, inspiring victory ("Up! For this is the day..."), and partnering beautifully, calling men and women higher in God.Conclusion: Radiant women, for 20 years (and all women of faith), you've chosen the better thing. You've poured out love in extravagant worship, not counting the cost. You've taken courageous steps, chosen faithfulness, given generously, contended in prayer, wept honest tears at Jesus' feet while believing Him even in the dark, and led with wisdom. Because of this, we've seen Him. Thank you for being lovers of God and spiritual mothers. Proverbs 31: not competition, but a celebration of a woman's lifelong fruit. God counts & celebrates all you do.Call to Action: Let's continue this journey of faith: loving God and living for Him. Men, actively honor and celebrate the women in your lives. Women, keep arising, using your God-given gifts to call us higher. Let's embrace the future, partnering for the Gospel. God is worthy of it all! Do you have a message you want to share?  Is there something on your heart you feel people need to hear?  Or do you manage a team and need to make sure your initiatives are communicated well and efficiently put into motion? You may even have a new idea you want to present to your leaders.     In this episode, I provide practical tips that help you think through your message and how to convey it more successfully. Using the acronym CARS, we will give you some questions to ask yourself as you craft your message to share with the world. We want to help you intentionally think through how you are conveying your message for the best outcome possible.  Clarity What do I want to say? What is my goal for this communication? What do I want someone to do as a result of receiving this information? Audience Who am I speaking to? What is their level of understanding of this topic? What kind of context do I need to provide to them for this information to make sense? Relevance Why does this matter to the person reading or hearing this info? So what? Simplify Can you take what you want to communicate and simplify it? What can you edit down to make it clearer, to speak to your intended audience more effectively? Have you made sure there's a ‘so what' to the information? Your Next Steps: Getting your message across effectively is key for any leader. By using this CARS acronym, you'll see a big difference in how your communication is received. Remember, practice makes perfect, so keep these tips in mind and watch your impact grow.    Connect with Esther: Esther's Website Instagram

Quiet Time Coaching Episode 481 | New Thing Series — Part 36 | “Esther's Family” | Malcolm Cox Introduction A new thing! I'm Malcolm Cox. Welcome to your daily devotional podcast anchored in Isaiah 43:19: 'See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.' We are currently looking at God doing a new thing in the life of Esther. Today we explore Esther's family “Now there was a Jew in the citadel of Susa whose name was Mordecai son of Jair son of Shimei son of Kish, a Benjaminite. Kish had been carried away from Jerusalem among the captives carried away with King Jeconiah of Judah, whom King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon had carried away. Mordecai had brought up Hadassah, that is Esther, his cousin, for she had neither father nor mother; the girl was fair and beautiful, and when her father and her mother died, Mordecai adopted her as his own daughter. So when the king's order and his edict were proclaimed, and when many young women were gathered in the citadel of Susa in custody of Hegai, Esther also was taken into the king's palace and put in custody of Hegai, who had charge of the women.”(Esther 2:5-8 NRSV) Esther's Family Esther's parents died when she was young She is adopted and brought up by her cousin Mordecai She is totally reliant on him for food, housing and safety - still a ‘girl' She is taken from Mordecai without his or her consent and placed in circumstances of luxurious danger More on that in future podcasts For Reflection Adoption is a Scriptural theme. Pharaoh's daughter adopted Moses (Ex. 2:10), and Mordecai adopted Esther (Esther 2:7). Both rescue God's people from disaster. God adopted Israel (Ex. 4:22; Deut. 7:6; Hos. 11:1; Rom. 9:4) - “Theirs is the adoption to sonship;” (Romans 9:4 NIV11). By God's grace we are brought into his redeemed family - “children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.” John 1:13 We have an inheritance - “Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” (Romans 8:17 NIV11) Why not take some time today to thank God for adopting you as his son or daughter? You could pray through this wonderful passage: “The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.” (Romans 8:15-21 NIV11) Conclusion I hope you find your heart, your life, your congregation and your world inspired by God doing a new thing. Until tomorrow, take care, and God bless.  Please add your comments on this week's topic. We learn best when we learn in community. Do you have a question about teaching the Bible? In this episode, you'll also hear:Three reasons why it's important for Christians to dream BIGBiblical examples of people who dared to dreamEight words to remember when the going gets toughThe Audience Attraction Formula, designed to help you turn your dreams into reality and make a difference in the world (link below!) 3 Reasons to Dream BigAs followers of Christ, we are called to dream big, to dare to pursue our passions and use our gifts to glorify God. Our dreams can become a reality, but it will take a combination of faith and obedience. So here are three reasons why it's important to dream big.1. To follow Jesus' example. Throughout Scripture, Jesus frequently encourages us to dream big and step out in faith. In Luke 1:37, He reminds us that nothing is impossible with God. And the same sentiment is echoed throughout the Gospels, as Jesus calls his disciples to trust in Him, to step out of their comfort zone, and to pursue something greater. By following Jesus' example, we can have courage to pursue our dreams and face the challenges that come along with them. 2. To live out our calling. We all have unique gifts and talents that God has given us for a purpose — to glorify Him through the work of our hands. If we're not striving towards fulfilling our calling, then we're not living up to the full potential that God has created within us. By dreaming big, we can take steps towards achieving our goals while honoring God along the way. 3. To spread joy and love. One of the greatest blessings of dreaming big is that it allows us to share God's joy and love with others, whose dreams then become a reality. Instead of holding back because fear or doubt gets in the way, boldly press onward, knowing that when you do so in faith, nothing will be impossible for you. Dreams come true when they bring glory to God above all else. Dream Big: Your Role as a ChristianIt's time to think about dreaming big as actually being a part of your role as a Christian. Let it be ingrained in how you think about yourself and what you do on a daily basis. Because when we dream big, we are acting like our Father and following in His footsteps. We are following Jesus' example. And when we dream big, we have the opportunity to live out our calling, spread joy and love around us, and to actually see what we're capable of doing. Consider the following biblical examples of people who were willing to step outside of the box. No matter how unlikely or impossible their circumstances seemed, these individuals found the courage and the strength to push forward. Let the stories of these three people who dared to dream inspire you to achieve remarkable success. Joseph: Joseph had a powerful dream that one day he would rise above his brothers and become a leader in his own right. Despite his brothers' envy and hatred toward him, Joseph persevered, determined to make that dream a reality. And sure enough, through a series of incredible events, Joseph became second in command over all of Egypt. Esther: Esther was an orphaned Jewish girl living in exile when the dream was presented to her to become the Queen of Persia. Through the providence of God and her own bravery, Esther was able to achieve that dream. Not only did she become queen, but she also saved her people from sudden death through her actions. David: David was just a shepherd boy when God gave him a big, hairy, audacious goal: to defeat Goliath. No one else was brave enough to face down this giant warrior, so David stepped up. And with faith in God leading him forward, he was able to defeat Goliath and gain fame throughout all of Israel as a great warrior king. We too can go forth with boldness if we trust God's will for our lives. The Bible is full of stories that show us what's possible when we dare to dream big, so let these stories inspire you to write your own story — one where you reach for your wildest dreams with courage and faith. And when you're in that space where the going gets tough, remember these eight words: you can achieve anything that God has promised you. If He's promised you something, He's going to come through. You just have to continue to dream big and trust Him to make the way. The Audience Attraction FormulaAre you ready to take the challenge and create something unique that will have a lasting impact on the world?   THEME:    ANOINTING / GRACE TO BREAK GENERATIONAL RECORDS ( BATTLES  ) AND SET GENERATIONAL RECORDS (GENERATIONAL FREEDOM/ LIBERTY).         TEXTS: 1 CHRONICLES 4: 9 - 10/ ESTHER 4: 12 - 14/ MATTHEW 5:13-14      INTRODUCTION   • There is one person that must rise up in every family/ church/ Locality/ community/ local church/ that department/ office etc as a Record Breaker .         • Jesus Christ gave us birth to become record breakers         • Record breaking is the essence of Matthew 5: 13 & 14.         • Every family has a negative Record/ Ancestral and Generational Records that must be broken.           FOUR  AREAS OF BREAKING GENERATIONAL RECORDS AND SETTING NEW RECORDS:         1. Where our Ancestors could not reach.         • The story they wanted to tell that they couldn't tell.         • The testimony they wanted to give but they could not.         • They could not because of Ancient Hostilities and gates that stood against them as in : Ezekiel 25 :15/ Psalm 24 : 7- 10.         2. Going beyond where they reached = Going beyond their limits or standards.         • The limit/ standards of my fathers can not be my standard, I am going beyond.          3. The desires and dreams they couldn't fulfill because of too many battles.         4. Battles they couldn't win: Common battles associated with families.         • Mental battles.   • Emotional battles.          • Psychological battles.    • Health battles.          • Economic battles    • Financial battles.         • Marital battles / eg marriages never work.         • Career battles / career instability, jumping from job to job.         • Social battles.    • Spiritual battles.         • Legal battles      But God has raised us up as ;         1. Record breakers.   2. Record setters.         3. Game-Changer.    4. Change - Makers.         5. Way - makers.         6. Take your stand in Christ through intensive prayer/ Persevering Prayer/ Consistent Prayer/ Sacrifices/ Faith Actions and whatever the Holy spirit Inspires to break that evil and wicked Record.         Scriptural Background.   1. Jabez was born into a Generational Record.         • His brothers accepted the way things were as normal.         • The brothers settled with the negative family image and identity and story.         • But Jabez said NO WAY / NEVER IN MY TIME.         • That is why the bible says he is the most honourable among his brethren.         • He built an Altar of Prayer.         a .Persevering Prayer ie Praying every day about the situation.         b. Consistent Prayer ie Praying on the same thing at a particular time.         • God answered him          • Jabez broke the Record of poverty to becoming an entrepreneur = 1 Chronicles 2: 55.         2. Esther / Esther 4   • An orphan in Captivity without hope.         • But God arranged an opportunity.          • Mordecai provoked her to make good use of her position to terminate an Ancient enemy = Heman.         3. Gideon was a Record Breaker = Judges 6.         • His father was the custodian of Baal.         • Baal worship has brought a major setback to the nation.         • The Angel asked Gideon to destroy the fathers Altar To Baal and build a proper kind of Altar.         4. David was a Record Breaker and Record Setter.   • 1 Kings 5: 1 - 6 & 2 Samuel 3: 1- 2.         • David's major Record was his defeat of Goliath, Israel's most feared, stubborn Ancient enemy.          As A Record Breaker and Setter.         1. Generational battles must end with you/ You must become the last stop to that particular battle.         2. You must become the beginner of a new era / a new realm.         3. Note: Jabez fought poverty and the whole family became wealthy/ Esther fought Heman through fasting and Prayer and She, her cousin and the whole Israel ruled and reign/ David fought for Solomon to rest / Jesus Christ fought for us to rest.         4. Note: Solomon Sacrifice is   • Battle free Anointing/ Grace          • Breaker of Generational Record         • Generational Record Breaking Anointing/ Grace.         5. Avoid sexual immorality = In order for the devil to stop you from breaking that Record:         • He afflicts you with sexual immorality.         • He afflicts you with fear.         • He afflicts you with anger.         • He distracts you with offences.         • He attacks you with unbelief and doubt.          PROPHETIC    • There is a song that has never been sang in your family but this year, the tune must start with you and continue after you.         • There is a story your Ancestors couldn't tell, it is starting with you.         • There is a testimony your family have never given, it is starting with you.         • There is a miracle/ breakthrough/ opened door your family have not yet experienced, it is starting with you.         PRAYER:   1. My Father my Father; Let it stop at me and start with me.          • Let this evil , wicked , disgraceful, shameful, discouraging etc Record end with me.         • Let delays end with me.   • Let childlessness end with me.         • Let slavery end with me.   • Let poverty end with me.         • Let Premature death end with me.         My Father my Father, the song, story that my ancestors could not sing/ tell   START WITH ME!         My Father my Father, the song/ story/ testimony... that my ancestors could not sing/ tell/ give   Anoint me right now with the breaker anointing   I RECEIVE THE BREAKER ANOINTING!         My Father my Father, I declare today every evil, shameful, discouraging... record in my family,   As I clap my hands,    I BREAK IT!         My Father my Father, every evil record in my bloodline,   With the blood of Jesus Christ, as I clap my hands,   I STOP YOU!         This particular battle in my family that is affecting me,   As I clap my hands,   YOU MUST DIE!   LET THE BATTLE CEASE/ DIE!         My Father my Father, as I clap my hands, where I should be, I must be today.   What I should become, I must become today.            My Father my Father, what is mine/ destined for me,   As i clap my hands,   LET IT BE MINE NOW!

Where does the struggle begin, if not in the human heart? There is a desire in all of us to be the master of our own destinies, captains of our own ships, holders of our own remote controls. It is the human condition to try to seize and grasp control in a belief that we hold the key to our own flourishing. The Bible is a unified story that reveals the origin of our restless condition and tells us of the answer that brings true peace - not only to the world, but to the human heart. This is the good news - that there is one Kingdom to rule them all. To accompany our Sermon Series, we have produced weekly guides to help you, and provide further study resources. You can find this week's guide, along with previous weeks on our website: https://christcentral.church/cg_kk. When Esther's eunuch Hathak met with Mordecai to find out what was wrong and why he was in sackcloth, Mordecai told him the entire situation. He gave him a copy of the edict, but even more importantly, Mordecai told him to tell Esther that Haman had offered to pay for the entire campaign out of his own pocket. This is no small detail. When was the last time you heard of a congressperson or a senator offering to pay for something themselves? It's hard enough to find a story where our government officials pay for their own lunch, let alone a massive nationwide campaign! This shows the resolve that's in Haman's heart. The situation was dire, and he needed Esther to fully understand this. Haman had been very calculating with his plans, all the way down to leaving several months to get the word out and prepare local militias to carry out the order. As cold and calculating as they were, not even the Nazis were this organized about their extinction of the Jews. No such order had ever been given against the Jews and no such order has ever been given like it since. Why do you think Esther didn't know about the edict?-------------------Esther is simultaneously a victory and a tragedy. In some ways, If you look at it through a modern lens, it should be called the Victory of Mordecai and the Tragedy of Esther. Esther loses her parents and then is taken into the harem of a despotic king to be used as he wishes. Mordecai ends up, like Daniel, a very high official and ruler in his expatriated land. This will be a great study of Esther as we look at the emotions, the world and the meanings of one of the most cherished, and often misunderstood books of the Bible.-----------LINKS----------Support 10WB on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/10weekbibleThe 10 Week Bible - http://www.10WeekBible.comTwitter: @DarrenHibbs - https://twitter.com/DarrenHibbsSign up for my newsletter - http://www.darrenhibbs.comGet a copy of the 10 Week Bible Study today - https://www.amazon.com/Darren-Hibbs/e/B00B4I47CE/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=sl2&tag=darrenhcom0a-20&linkId=401f3d79974c70929517936977e32df9My other YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChUU0XHSHuhSyN8qk-7efYgTake the survey and win some great fun stuff at www.10WeekBible.com today.Support the show
