Ethan Walker III was born and grew up in Oklahoma. In the late 60s, at the age of 19, he read Timothy Leary's interview in Playboy magazine and promptly left for the Los Angeles area to explore the psychedelic revolution. This led to cosmic experiences which put him on the spiritual path for the rest of his life. This is all chronicled in his book Into The Mystic - A Story of Light, Love and Spiritual Adventures. After ten years of practicing non-duality following the instructions of Ramana Maharshi and Nisargadatta Maharaj, he met his guru Amma who put him on the path of bhakti or spiritual devotion. Many more cosmic experiences ensued at the hands of Amma. All of Ethan's books are explorations of the spiritual path and especially bhakti with the books Finding God's Love, Amma Is Love, Bhakti Sutras of Narada and 108 Hugs for Jesus. Now, 50 years after driving to Los Angeles to find LSD, he has focused his practice on love and the cultivation of love. These are specific daily practices to which he was directed and guided by his guru Amma. His Beloved is the Divine Mother and he has written three books of devotional poetry to her - Soft Moon Shining, A Cup of Tea and The Divine Mother of the Universe. To say Braselton teen Austin Moore was raised to love no other college football team but the Georgia Bulldogs would be an understatement. As the high school senior and his mother, Cathy, waited outside the Academy Sports+Outdoors in Buford after the Bulldogs defeated TCU to win its second consecutive national championship late Monday night, Moore was dressed head to toe in red and black. He wore a Georgia beanie, Georgia sweatshirt and jacket as he waived a giant Georgia flag while waiting in the line to get in the store. He even wore red contact lenses for the occasion. Academy stores across the state of Georgia reopened late Monday night to sell UGA fans the first pieces of national championship gear as soon as the title game ended just before 11 p.m. Louis Bonora, the store director for Academy's Buford store estimated about 300 to 400 people showed up at that location alone between the time its doors reopened at 10:55 p.m. and the time the last customers filed out just after midnight. Fans who showed up late Monday night after the game were the first to snap up national championship shirts, sweatshirts, hats, beanies, drink cozies, pennants, car window stickers and lanyards. Moore and his mother were already on their way to the store before the game even ended. It wasn't their first time showing up at an Academy store immediately after a local team won a league title, however. It's something of a tradition for the family. They did it when UGA won this year's SEC title, last year's national championship, and when the Atlanta Braves won last year's World Series. Many other fans were similarly eager to wait in line late Monday night to get their championship gear. They were even more excited, however, by UGA's dominating 65-7 victory over TCU in the national title game and the fact that the Bulldogs are back-to-back national champions. In honor of the University of Georgia's historic feat, Times-Journal, Inc. is publishing a commemorative championship edition with a special poster page, stories, highlights and photos from the national title game defeat of TCU. The edition will be available for purchase for $3 beginning on Wednesday at the Daily Post offices. Copies can also be ordered online Gwinnett County police announced on Monday that they have identified and arrested a suspect in the death of a woman who was killed last month at a south Gwinnett used car dealership where she worked. Master Police Officer Hideshi Valle said Lilburn resident Wesley Vickers has been charged with felony murder, malice murder and aggravated assault in the death of Snellville resident Courtney Owens. Police arrested Vickers with help from the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Unit on Friday. Police have not yet released information on a possible motive for why Vickers allegedly killed Owens. Owens was shot and killed inside the used car dealership on Centerville Highway on December 9. At the time, police said they thought Owens or someone else at the business may have known the shooter, although they had not identified a suspect at that time. Vickers is being held in the Gwinnett County jail. A homeless person was taken to the hospital on Sunday after suffering from smoke inhalation outside a vacant home that was on fire. Gwinnett County Fire Capt. Ryan McGiboney said crews were called to the home near the intersection of Sterling Hill Drive and Towler Road at 2:59 a.m. One person who reported the fire to 9-1-1 told dispatchers that fire had begun spreading to the nearby woods. Firefighters arrived five minutes later and found the crawlspace of the home, which had been a single-family dwelling that had at some point been converted to a business, was on fire. They then found the homeless person near the building. Firefighters removed the plywood from the home's windows, which had been boarded up, to battle the flames before deploying several fire hoses. Crews got the fire under control at about 4:09 a.m. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, but the search crews that went into the building after the fire determined it was vacant. Chloe Brothers broke the Gwinnett County six-dive record Saturday, highlighting Brookwood's sweep of rival Parkview in swimming and diving. The Broncos completed an unbeaten regular season under new head coach Willie Hildebrand, and retained the Battle of Five Forks Trophy with victories in the overall points competition, as well as wins in both the boys and girls divisions. The boys won 264-194, while the girls posted a dominant 311-142 victory. Brothers' girls county record was 314.90 points to break the old mark of 305.55, set in 2011 by Duluth's Sarah Haliburton. Brothers also broke the county 11-dive record earlier this season. In addition to Brothers' victory, Hailey Dopson won two events for the Brookwood girls — the 200-yard freestyle and the 100 backstroke. The other Bronco girls who won individual events were Addison Curtis, Sophie Hamilton, Mary Kate Weitzel and Cameron Pritchett . Both Kyler Heffner and Nolan Patterson were double-winners for the Brookwood boys. Heffner was first in the 200 free and 100 fly ,and Patterson won the 50 and 100 free. Teammate Baylor Stanton took first in the 100 breaststroke in 58.82, and Ethan Walker gave the Broncos a win in boys diving. Parkview was led by a pair of double-winners, Landon Plumlee on the boys side and Hannah-Claire Jowers on the girls side. Plumlee was first in the 200 IM and 500 free, and Jowers won the 100 free) and the 100 breast. The Panthers' Jack Dunbar was first in the 100 back at 52.07. Georgia officials expect the state will receive more than $181 million after joining national settlements with four companies over allegations they contributed to the opioid crisis. The Peach State will use the money from Allergan, CVS, Teva and Walgreens to help fund treatment, prevention, reduction and recovery initiatives. CVS and Walgreens were not defendants in Georgia's ongoing litigation against opioid distributors, though Teva and Allergan were named in the state's action targeting opioid manufacturers. According to Georgia officials, CVS and Walgreens proactively approached the state with settlement offers. Walgreens will make a $58.7 million base payment to the state, CVS will pay $50.1 million, Teva will hand over $44.9 million, and Allergan will pay $27.4 million. CVS will pay $5 billion nationally, while Walgreens will hand over $5.7 billion. Teva will pay more than $4.25 billion nationally, while Allergan will distribute more than $2.3 billion. Georgia joined the settlements with Teva and Allergan on December 19 and the settlements with CVS and Walgreens on December 21. Local governments have 90 days from when the state joined the settlements to join. Three Gwinnett County players and two local coaches participated in the prestigious All-American Bowl over the weekend. Those five helped the East to a 55-17 victory in the annual high school football showcase televised by NBC. Mill Creek grad Caleb Downs, Buford grad Justice Haynes and Grayson grad Michael Daugherty played for the East, while the coaching staff included Buford head coach Bryant Appling and Meadowcreek head coach Todd Wofford. Haynes rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown, and Downs had an interception. Caleb Downs is a 5 star safety signed to play for the University of Alabama. Justice Haynes is a 5 star running back, also signed to go to Alabama. And Michael Daugherty is a 4 star safety, who is signed to go play for LSU. Denver exposed Georgetown's lack of defensive depth on Tuesday in a Big East Lacrosse matchup that pitted the countries most formidable defense (Georgetown) against one of the most battled tested teams in the country in terms of strength of schedule and overall experience (Denver). While Georgetown jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, the Pio's used a 7 goal over about 15 minutes of play to take a 7-2 lead and never looked back. Jack Hannah had a huge day for Denver scoring 4 goals off just 8 shots, a huge improvement over his shooting percentage so far this season. Also factoring heavily was Ethan Walker who contributed 3 second half goals to go along with his two assists. The Tewaaraton Award watch now involves three guys that all have a legit shot at winning by the seasons end. Included on my own personal short list is Ryan Tierney (Hofstra), Jared Bernhardt (Maryland), Michael Sowers (Duke) and Chris Gray (North Carolina). I think Tierney is the long shot, and the other three, Bernhardt, Sowers and Gray are all the obvious front runners. But who do I think has the best chance? We had our first full weekend of college lacrosse action and as always, it didn't disappoint. Michael Sowers and Joe Robertson each put up 4 goals in Duke's win over Mercer. North Carolina and Chris Gray continue their quest for glory waxing Jacksonville and Gray put up 4 goals and 3 assists in the UNC win. High Point and their big cat Asher Nolting had themselves a day beating up on Robert Morris 21-15. Nolting got help from teammates all over the place while he himself went for 3 goals and 4 assists in the victory. Denver got back into the win column by dropping Air Force and Ethan Walker went off for 5 goals and 2 assists while Jackson Morrill put up 2 goals and 4 assists in the Pio's win. Towson got themselves their first W in almost two years by defeating St. Joseph's in overtime off a Andrew Milani goal in overtime. Bryant didn't need overtime to beat Providence by a goal in large part thanks to goaltender Luke Caracciolo's 16 saves. More action today with Army @ Virginia and Loyola @ Richmond. We have our first huge college lacrosse matchup of the year, #5 Denver hits the road to face-off against #1 Duke at 3pm this Friday in what is being dubbed the happy hour game. I myself will 100% be taking work off early on Friday (via getting started by 5am) to watch this one as Denver tries to shake off the dust in order to give Duke a full game. Michael Sowers will make his Duke debut as will Brendan O'Neill. Duke has gone 4-3 against Denver over the last 7 years, with Duke winning the last 3 matchups (Denver won the 3 prior). Saturday we get to see Virginia for the first time as they face Towson. UVA got off to a disappointing start last season by their own standards, and Towson is coming off one of the worst starts in the history of college lacrosse going 0-6. Virginia gets the services of Dox Aitken back and teamed up with buddies Matt Moore, Ian Laviano, Jared Conners, Kyle Kology, Petey Lasalla and more, the Cavs have reason to be excited in 2021. Denver proving they are a glutton for punishment travels 15 minutes down Erwin Road to take on #4 North Carolina Sunday. Chris Gray, Nicky Solomon, Justin (Mr.) Anderson and company are hoping to repeat last years quick start against the Pio's on their way to another win. Denver should finally be getting comfortable offensively and hopefully Jackson Morrill is fully acclimated because Denver will need him, Jack Hannah and Ethan Walker to play tough twice this weekend. There are more games going on that we'll talk about in this Saturday's 10am live stream. College lacrosse action on Saturday didn't dissapoint with Bellarmine defeating Mercer by two goals in the seasons first action and Utah giving Denver all the Pio's could handle in a one-goal Denver win. Bellarmine took advantage of no Adam Goldsmith and took down Mercer 9-7. Mercer had a 4-2 lead at the half, but Bellarmine chipped back and took down their conference foe by the end. Denver coming in as huge favorites over Utah played as poorly as a team could play on offense over the first half allowing Utah a 3-1 lead heading into the third. Denver used a big second half from all of its usual suspects seeing Jack Hannah (2 goals, 1 assist), Ethan Walker (3 goals, 1 assist) and Jackson Morrill (1 goal, 2 assists) all have huge second halfs. In the end, Denver gained the lead and didn't give it up over the course of the fourth quarter. All in all, a great first weekend of lacrosse action and I can't wait for next weekend. Yes, TD Ierlan decided to transfer to Denver. Yes, Syracuse has back their full roster and is at full strength in 2021. Both pieces of information are crazy news. But nothing compares to the fact we will be able to watch college lacrosse this weekend. First game of the 2021 season, Bellarmine @ Mercer most likely won't be all that close as Mercer brings back almost everyone from a very good team last year. Mercer returns Sean Goldsmith's 34 goals and 8 assists as well as Michael Quinn's 12 goals and 12 assists. More importantly for Mercer, they bring back Wesley Chairs, Danny Walsh and Garrett LeClaire on the defensive side of the ball. Mercer is a complete team. MY PREDICTION: Mercer -6.5 The second and more interesting game of the weekend is Utah @ Denver. Keep in mind, Utah has a totally new looking team. They have lost almost everyone on offense. Denver on the other hand brings back almost everyone on offense and added Jackson Morrill and Lucas Cotler. Throw in the fact that Jungle Jack Hannah played 2020 like someone told him he was the best midfielder in the country and now Morrill is paired on attack with Ethan Walker, one of the best finishers in the game, meets one of the best QB's in the game, Denver is going to be scary with all caps. About TD Ierlan's announced transfer to Denver, it's reported by Terry Foy that he won't be able to take the field for the first time until Denver's 8th or 9th game, so that will factor. Come back Saturday morning for the pre-game livestream on Saturday at 10am on the dot. We'll talk about the upcoming games and I'll answer questions. In this 87th episode of the LaxFactor Lacrosse Podcast, we are going to recap Sunday's games including Cornell vs Ohio State, North Carolina vs Denver, Air Force vs Virginia and Furman vs Duke. Cornell dropped Ohio State 16-15 despite losing 30 face-offs to Justin Inacio. Jeff Teat put up 4 goals and 2 assists for Cornell and Tre Leclair went for 6 goals and 2 assists in the loss for OSU. North Carolina hit the road to face Denver and despite a 15-13 win that appeared close on paper, UNC had control of this game from start to finish and was never really threatened by Denver. Ethan Walker put up 5 goals for Denver and Justin Anderson went off for UNC tallying 5 goals and 2 assists. Virginia beat up on Air Force and Duke trashed Furman, so the ACC teams that played Sunday all handled their business as did Syracuse on Saturday. Notre Dame was the lone ACC team that lost this weekend. *Visit our sponsor, SidelineSwap* https://sidelineswap.com/?utm_source=laxfactor&utm_medium=podcast&utm_campaign=laxfactor2020 *Support the channel, buy some swag...* https://www.laxfactor.com/ --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/laxfactor/support

The young Manchester City star speaks exclusively to the podcast following the defeat in Wigan Athletic but having doubled his account for the Lilywhites with a brace against Ipswich on Good Friday. Paul Gallagher, having captained the side at the DW also shares his thoughts with iFollow PNE, after a frustrating day at the office against Wigan. Former North End forward, turned summariser with iFollow PNE, Brett Ormerod also joins us this week. He reflects on a largely positive season for North End given the circumstances with injuries and tough start to the season. Having seen plenty of the Lilywhites through the Easter period, and duration of the season, the former frontman believes there is plenty to be positive moving into the summer for North End. Away from the first team we check in with Academy Manager Nick Harrison. With the likes of Adam O’Reilly and Ethan Walker both having made first team debuts during the course of the season Harrison is pleased with the development of a number of his young stars. There’s all of that plus Star Six returns this week. Former North End winger Chris Sedgwick, who joined Saturday’s opponents Sheffield Wednesday after his time at Deepdale, shares his memories of the best players he turned out with. Having turned out for the Lilywhites over 250 times during his six years at Deepdale there is plenty of thinking to be done too! The podcast is brought to you weekly by host Guy Clarke. In Episode 18 Lee Woodmansee talks with three of his students who are all taking classes within the Business field. They talk about how they balance work and school along with all of their other responsibilities, what goes into a mindset that views work and classwork as worship, what hinders us viewing this God-given thing as worship, and how God uses people to view work as worship to further His kingdom. If you stick around you will hear about Elvis impersonators, Dolly Parton duets, and maybe even hear a rendition of Gravity by John Mayer.
There disciplined a handful of attackman that are returning in 2019 that I'm crazy excited about, and Ethan Walker comes in at my #5 spot. The Denver attacker is well disciplined, can score with the best of them, and doesn't shy away from dodging and creating for his teammates. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/laxfactor/support
