Send us a textYou guys! I feel like a mixture of Jack Hannah and Ernest P. World!!This is such a fun episode! For years now, y'all know that Audubon Institute holds our heart, right? WELL- I thought what better way to welcome in National Alligator Day on May 29th than to have a REPTILE TAKEOVER! We will have an amazing Video Version coming out on that day BUT TODAY, we get an in depth and interesting run down on MANY of the reptiles Audubon Zoo offers at their campus! Today, we welcome the REPTILE CURATOR for Audubon Zoo! Robert sat down with me and my daughter, Alli Mae to not only ask questions from the submitted questions by kids in our audience BUT my girl got to get her feet wet behind the microphone! She loved it and can't wait to come back! Frogs, snakes, iguanas, OH MY! Then later, we are still at Audubon Zoo BUT THIS TIME we welcome the campus' "gator gals!" They do not call them that. I do though! Listen as Ashely and Victoria answer the cutest questions submitted by our little kiddo audience! Do you know how high a gator can jump? I'll give ya hint. Papa says... NOPE!! And see me run! Even more interesting.... Do you know HOW they jump so high? Find out Now!Thank you Audubon Institute and as always Casey for making it happen! ¡Marineros, a cubierta! Próximo programa: My Adventures With Superman (T1/T2) / Batman - The Caped Crusader (T1).
KB & DJ are BACK and kick things off talking about how DJ coached against Mark McNeil and KB hatches an idea from the coaching matchup that HAS to happen. Then they get into recapping an unreal weekend for the PLL in Minnesota as we saw phenomenal action across the board, KB had himself a HOF type weekend in the pressers, and Kyle Jackson reminded everyone that the Medicine Game can help us find the beauty in any situation. KB is stoked about Jack Hannah being back for the Waterdogs and DJ is at a loss for words about the issues surrounding the Redwoods. Then the guys preview the Boston Cannons homecoming weekend with the Boston Battery boys! Then KB and DJ wrap up the episode discussing the latest episode of One On Ones where the Rabils tease the return of the Outlaws fireworks game in the future. Travis and Tom give their answers. They're then joined by Waterdogs midfielder Jack Hannah. He discusses his rookie season in the league, and what it will be like to play back at Peter Barton Stadium this weekend after graduating from the University of Denver. On this episode of "Lacrosse Now", Travis and Tom give their takeaways from Maryland's dominant 23-12 win over Virginia in the battle of the top two teams in men's college lacrosse entering the weekend. They also pick their favorite close game, the game they learned the most from, and their biggest surprise from the weekend (9:15). Denver midfielder Jack Hannah joins the show to break down the Pioneers best win of the year, a victory over Ohio State on Sunday (28:00). He also talks about what it meant for him, an Ohio native, to win in Columbus, and his love for Bengals QB Joe Burrow. Tom and Travis then turn their attention to the women's game where they give their takeaways from UNC's 1-goal win at Boston College on Sunday (39:30). The show finishes up with stock up, stock down in women's lacrosse. Hear who they think is on the rise after this past week (46:36).
Hold onto your hats, because Kristin starts us off with a doozy. When investigators arrived at the home of James and Vivian Gray, they didn't do a great job. They invited randos to help clean up the crime scene where the couple had been shot. Then, when they left, they handed the scene off to the crime's main suspect -- the couple's adult son, Anthony Gray. Then Brandi tells us about Cody Johnson, who at 25, was thrilled to be marrying the love of his life, Jordan Graham. But Jordan wasn't so happy. In fact, as she walked down the aisle, she cried and shook her head. Attendees might have written Jordan's behavior off as nerves, but she later confided in a friend that she wasn't happy. She was especially nervous about Cody's desire to consummate their marriage. Not long after their wedding, Cody went missing. And now for a note about our process. For each episode, Kristin reads a bunch of articles, then spits them back out in her very limited vocabulary. Brandi copies and pastes from the best sources on the web. And sometimes Wikipedia. Alex Troutman is an African American biologist that is breaking down doors in the science field. Alex grew up in Atlanta and from a early age was hypnotized by wildlife. Although it was hard because he didn't see conservationist that looked like him, his love still grew for mother nature. When he started school he actually was studying to be a veterinarian and then a field biology class changed his point of view on a career. I hope you enjoy Alex Troutman's story and continue to follow his journey. Al_Troutman (@n8ture_al)
Our first episode! My guest host Eric and I discuss Barks' first ever Duck comic: Donald Duck Finds Pirate Gold! for which Barks collaborated with Jack Hannah, a collaborator from the animation studio. Barks and Hannah were given the assignment to re-purpose a cartoon script for publication, and they collaborated on the art. This would lead to a long and successful career of drawing and (starting with the comic after this one) writing Duck comics. Episode highlights include pondering Pete, the Disney villain mainstay, and the existential nature of Yellow Beak, the parrot.
After our usual history lesson, we jump into the sad retirement of Jack Hannah, and slide gracefully into some current movie discussion.

Denver exposed Georgetown's lack of defensive depth on Tuesday in a Big East Lacrosse matchup that pitted the countries most formidable defense (Georgetown) against one of the most battled tested teams in the country in terms of strength of schedule and overall experience (Denver). While Georgetown jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, the Pio's used a 7 goal over about 15 minutes of play to take a 7-2 lead and never looked back. Jack Hannah had a huge day for Denver scoring 4 goals off just 8 shots, a huge improvement over his shooting percentage so far this season. Also factoring heavily was Ethan Walker who contributed 3 second half goals to go along with his two assists. The Tewaaraton Award watch now involves three guys that all have a legit shot at winning by the seasons end. Included on my own personal short list is Ryan Tierney (Hofstra), Jared Bernhardt (Maryland), Michael Sowers (Duke) and Chris Gray (North Carolina). I think Tierney is the long shot, and the other three, Bernhardt, Sowers and Gray are all the obvious front runners. But who do I think has the best chance? We have our first huge college lacrosse matchup of the year, #5 Denver hits the road to face-off against #1 Duke at 3pm this Friday in what is being dubbed the happy hour game. I myself will 100% be taking work off early on Friday (via getting started by 5am) to watch this one as Denver tries to shake off the dust in order to give Duke a full game. Michael Sowers will make his Duke debut as will Brendan O'Neill. Duke has gone 4-3 against Denver over the last 7 years, with Duke winning the last 3 matchups (Denver won the 3 prior). Saturday we get to see Virginia for the first time as they face Towson. UVA got off to a disappointing start last season by their own standards, and Towson is coming off one of the worst starts in the history of college lacrosse going 0-6. Virginia gets the services of Dox Aitken back and teamed up with buddies Matt Moore, Ian Laviano, Jared Conners, Kyle Kology, Petey Lasalla and more, the Cavs have reason to be excited in 2021. Denver proving they are a glutton for punishment travels 15 minutes down Erwin Road to take on #4 North Carolina Sunday. Chris Gray, Nicky Solomon, Justin (Mr.) Anderson and company are hoping to repeat last years quick start against the Pio's on their way to another win. Denver should finally be getting comfortable offensively and hopefully Jackson Morrill is fully acclimated because Denver will need him, Jack Hannah and Ethan Walker to play tough twice this weekend. There are more games going on that we'll talk about in this Saturday's 10am live stream. College lacrosse action on Saturday didn't dissapoint with Bellarmine defeating Mercer by two goals in the seasons first action and Utah giving Denver all the Pio's could handle in a one-goal Denver win. Bellarmine took advantage of no Adam Goldsmith and took down Mercer 9-7. Mercer had a 4-2 lead at the half, but Bellarmine chipped back and took down their conference foe by the end. Denver coming in as huge favorites over Utah played as poorly as a team could play on offense over the first half allowing Utah a 3-1 lead heading into the third. Denver used a big second half from all of its usual suspects seeing Jack Hannah (2 goals, 1 assist), Ethan Walker (3 goals, 1 assist) and Jackson Morrill (1 goal, 2 assists) all have huge second halfs. In the end, Denver gained the lead and didn't give it up over the course of the fourth quarter. All in all, a great first weekend of lacrosse action and I can't wait for next weekend. Today we went to the Cincinnati Zoo. It was a nice drive over. Only about two hours. Once close to Cincinnati there were rolling hills filled with lush vegitation. To the left is our tickets for the day. The cool thing was that it was a half price day. And anyone that knows me knows that makes me happy. We started off at the elephants. Every zoo has elephants and yet they are still fun to watch. These were asia elephants and were darker than the Brookfield ones. This was at the end of the day. We were hot, tired and in need of liquid. We barely made te gift shop before the zoo closed. This bear was swimming past us. There were two big windows and he was having lots of fun staying cool. It was a bit gross when he pooped in the water - his butt was facing us - yuck! As most people know I love bears. I could have watched them swim around all day. But there were 499 more animals to see... at least. This Scarlet Ibis was so full of color he had to make the highlight reel. There were tons of great birds in the Wings of Wonder house. Then we went to Larikeets and Evan and Audrey got to feed them with nectar cups. One was nipping my finger. It was great. The highlight of the day was the 2 manatees. We have never seen one in person before. They are really big and very cool. It was the best part for all four of us.This is Audrey holding a snake. Evan held it too. It is the second snake on the trip they've gotten to touch. Yesterday Evan got to feed a giraffe. He said the tongue felt hairy and dry. (and yes Kirsten they did wash their hand afterwards.)This is the Sumatran Rhino. It is the rarest rhino in the world. There are less than 300 left in the wild. The Cinci zoo was successful at breeding two rhinos in 2001 and was a huge success story. As you can tell he is hairier than your average rhino. So please save the rhinos.Dayne took this picture. These hogs were resting in the shade. They actually looked really cute all snuggled together. We are having a good time. Tomorrow is Columbus. Recently rated number 1 in the country. We'll be the judge of that. For you David Letterman fans it is the home zoo of Jack Hannah.
Our first Disney-centric episode is sure to ruffle feathers as we discuss the studio's superstar Donald Duck and the animators and storymen behind him. We discuss what makes some versions of the Duck better than others (namely the legendary writer-cartoonist Carl Barks) and, in spite of our reservations, our favorite Dolan moments. And our first negative critical dissection of 1941's Timber, written by the dynamic duo Barks and Jack Hannah and directed by the not-so-dynamic Jack King. Cartoons discussed: The Wise Little Hen, The Band Concert, Don Donald, Billposters, Fire Chief, Chef Donald, Donald's Double Trouble, Clown of the Jungle, Soup's On, Donald's Happy Birthday, Dude Duck, Rugged Bear, Beezy Bear, and Timber.
There are a lot of talented midfielders playing college lacrosse in 2020, but the three guys I'm going to outline in this video, Jamie Trimboli (SR, Syracuse), Jack Hannah (JR, Denver) and Jonathan Donville (JR, Cornell) are all having MONSTER seasons so far in 2020. It's actually hard to call any of these guys "breakout stars" as they have all had great careers since stepping onto their respective campus', but these guys are all seeing big production jumps in 2020 and all have been called upon to step up and lead their teams. Trimboli is as clutch as you get, scoring game-winners against Duke as a freshman and sophomore and has consistently put up points since stepping on campus. Hannah didn't factor as a rookie, but last season as a sophomore had a great year and is set to be one of the top midfielders in the country in 2020. Donville has put up 30+ points in each of his first two seasons with Cornell, but is on place to bust those numbers up on 2020. *Support the channel, buy some swag...* https://www.laxfactor.com/ --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/laxfactor/support

Celia was sick and tired. She was an enslaved woman, living in Missouri. It seemed the man who purchased her had done so for the sole purpose of raping her. For years, Robert Newsom raped Celia. She did everything she could to stop him. Then, after roughly five years of abuse, Celia reached her breaking point. Robert said he would come to her cabin that night. She warned him not to. She said she’d hurt him. She wasn’t kidding. Then Brandi tells us about the disappearance of Kelsey Berreth. Kelsey went missing on Thanksgiving Day, 2018. That weekend, she texted her boss at Doss Aviation to say she wouldn’t be in the next week. But that wasn’t like Kelsey. Her mom, Cheryl-Lee sensed that something was wrong. Kelsey had an infant daughter and an important career as a pilot. She wouldn’t have just taken off. And now for a note about our process. For each episode, Kristin reads a bunch of articles, then spits them back out in her very limited vocabulary. Brandi copies and pastes from the best sources on the web. And sometimes Wikipedia.
