Rajarshi Nandy is a a prominent spiritual practitioner (sadhaka) known for his efforts to demystify and revive the ancient traditions of Tantra within the framework of Sanatana Dharma. He is the founder of the Kamakhya Bhairava Upasaka Foundation (KBUF), an organization dedicated to guiding aspirants in spiritual practices. Nandy frequently appears on popular podcasts and public platforms to discuss complex spiritual concepts, aiming to bridge the gap between modern scientific understanding and traditional esoteric wisdom. His latest book is titled "The Truth About Tantra: Structure, Sadhana, Shakti" which seeks to dispel common misconceptions surrounding Tantra—often misunderstood as merely sorcery or sensual rituals—and presents it instead as a disciplined, lived path of awareness and energy.
I had such an experience with a colleague of mine with whom I was working on a highly contentious legal situation. It was high-risk and, to me, it seemed like there was very little gain. Nonetheless, it was my duty. I had to deal with it. Because the person had—not just because he had a lot more experience, but because he had practiced equanimity in his life—and luckily I was partnered with him in the project, I noticed that going into every conversation, he remained equipoised and only dealt with the facts at hand, without becoming overly anxious about the outcome. I noticed that he did this over several months. He just showed up. The way I described it to others was: 'He came with his lunchbox.' He dealt with the situation as duty. One of the reasons it left such an impression on me was I saw that, ultimately, everything worked itself out. Well, it didn't just 'work itself out'; the ongoing negotiations helped, but there was a favorable conclusion at the end. I had thought about the way in which this person had conducted himself through the whole process. I had also heard, in the context of a dialogue I had heard, when somebody was asked, 'Aren't you nervous or afraid?' and he said, 'Why would that help? Would it help if I became more nervous or overly concerned, or would it help if I just did what I could with what I have right now?' So, oftentimes, there's a palpable result in remaining equipoised: doing one's duty without becoming overly concerned with the result; doing what you can with what you have now. I mentioned these three features: one is it tends to de-escalate conflict; another is that it invites collaboration; and the third is we're able to make clearer decisions without becoming biased. Because we want to see a particular result, we deal with what we can in the moment, and that emotional regulation—which equanimity could be described as—becomes contagious. Have you ever been in a dialogue with somebody that's close to you? Oftentimes, as I've heard and experienced myself, if you're close to somebody day-to-day—maybe even live together or travel together—and then you have a conversation, emotions can flare. But if one or the other remains equipoised in the conversation, then it tends to spread to the other person as well. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #successsadhana#spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirit
Anxiety grows when we lose control and forget the context of our life. We lose context; we forget we're in a universe. In fact, a friend of mine was telling me yesterday that he had kind of a trans-rational experience once on a dark-moon night when he was standing on the seashore. There was no light pollution whatsoever. He turned off his car lights and stepped out onto the beach. The stars were so pronounced that he felt himself separate from his body and felt the power of the universe. Of course, we're in a universe which is practically inexplicable, and there are various powers and forces that are working on us all the time. But we can forget that. In various contexts, we may just think, "I am a worker bee," "I'm a little cat," or "I'm a dog," and we care about our territory on the block. In human life, we can also develop such limited perspectives, and then we get anxious about it. But when we widen our perspective and think about who we are in the context of the greater universe, we can come to a sort of equanimity through which anxiety reduces. Equanimity lets you care without being shaken. You can still care—you still have empathy—but you're actually more useful because you don't become overwhelmed by various circumstances, because your perspective is so deep. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

I have a few sayings I want to put down for you here in the last few minutes. One is the question to ask whenever something comes up in your life—and you can use this all day long: 'What's the lesson?' When you ask what the lesson is, then you train yourself to react to things in a responsible way, rather than becoming a victim. Next is a mantra: 'Things are never as good as they seem, or as bad as they seem.' Because the immediate reaction when you hear bad news, or you hear something that sounds scary, is this: overreact and become intolerant. So remember this: things are never as good as they seem, nor as bad as they seem. Next one is this: 'This too shall pass.' Oh, what a powerful mantra! And that's one that Kṛṣṇa uses throughout the Bhagavad-gītā. Remember, it's just passing through. We're just passing through, so tolerate. Next one is: 'Concentrate on effort, not results.' Put in your best effort. Do the best you can with what you have right now, and don't worry about the results. It's not up to you. 'Whatever you resist, persists.' So if you push back on things, then it grows. Another is: 'Flip the switch.' I'm going to show you how to do it. Just put your hand behind your head right now, everybody—there's a little switch back there. You didn't know it was there. And then, flip it. And you turn off the 'humanoid' in you, and you become a little AI robot. So, turn off your emotion and just learn to do that; you can flip the switch. Another one is to meditate and practice noticing that you are not your thoughts. If you're able to isolate and see that thoughts are passing through all the time, just like clouds, and that you are not your thoughts, you gain a perspective which gives you a means by which you will naturally feel equal in all circumstances. Practice equanimity. Try it out for a week and see what it's like. Try it out for a day. Try it out for an hour. Employ some of these principles and see what it feels like. It's an authorized practice given in the Bhagavad-gītā. People will notice the difference in you. You'll notice a difference in you, and you'll also come to the heart of the matter, which is: 'I am not this body.' I'm just in a body, and I'm in a world that's always changing, but it has nothing to do with me—nothing at all. I just am here by circumstance. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa

Priorities determine what comes first when things compete. I don't know about all of you, but I've noticed there are a lot of competing philosophies. There are a lot of competing activities, different kinds of attitudes. So, when there's a confluence of all these things, we can feel overwhelmed. But if you have decided ahead of time what's most important in your life, and you have it ordered—that's what priority means—what comes first. Technically, it means one thing that's most important, the prime thing in your life. It has come over time that we make several priorities, and maybe there's a hierarchy, and that's how I recommend writing it. Write down the things that are most important to you and try to order them: what comes first, what comes second, what comes third. And then values—just giving definitions here—govern how I act, regardless of the outcome of whatever activity I'm engaged in. One of the cardinal principles of enlightened living is how we react to what happens to us. It's not what happens; it's what we do after it happens to us that defines our values. As we were just defining satisfaction, we may engage, and then something comes along that seems like an obstacle, how do we react to it? How do we remain satisfied? So, one of our values might be to be tolerant or to be in a state of equanimity. Dealing with situations governs how I react, regardless of what the outcome is. So, if I say I'm going to be satisfied, then if something desirable or undesirable comes, I am accepting. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #successsadhana #spiritualgoals #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

This is one of the first exercises for developing your constitution for 2026. You could take some time to examine what values means, and look at some of the values. This is a nice list from Brené Brown of values that we may look forward to developing. It's not necessarily values we have now, but it just means what we consider worthwhile, where we'd like to put our attention. You know, the word "worship? It originally comes from where the word "worth", and when you put "-ship" on the end of something, it turns into a noun. And over time, "worth-ship" morphed into "worship." So what we consider value is that place where we worship. What are the values? Now I'll just give another element to this: All of these values are metaphysical. How will you measure empathy? You can't do it empirically. Empirically, you can't go to Ace Hardware and get a meter that measures empathy. You can judge how generous somebody is, but you don't know how much they have, so are they being really generous? These values are intrinsically metaphysical; they are beyond the physical world. So looking at them, feeling them, feeling separation from them, wanting to develop them, this is also part of spiritual development. When we become aware of the plethora of values that are available for cultivation, we can uplift our spirit, our spiritual part of life, by becoming aware of them. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #successsadhana #spiritualvalues #goalsetting #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

If we have false expectations about what we're going to get in life and don't trace it back to the way we're doing our own planting, then this is illusory. An illusory lifestyle is not very satisfying. But what is satisfying is coming to grips with how what we're planting is coming up in various ways. So, being fully aware that the seeds we plant will give us specific results, and in our lives, also, we have to be very much aware of what we're doing and how we're doing it, so we can cultivate our consciousness to the highest level. Now, that brings us to something I alluded to a few minutes ago. And in slide number five, we have this oft-repeated concept in many of the ancient literatures—the Upanishads and the Vedas, the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam, Bhagavad Gītā—that human life has a very specific purpose. It's not willy-nilly. It's meant for us to cultivate something that bears a specific fruit. And therefore, we can count on the cultivation process. If we follow a system, and we're vigilant about it, we can expect something amazing. I think all plants are amazing. I'm just going to go ahead and say: I mean, how does it happen? How does it bear fruit, flowers, and come right out of the ground, and so forth? And human life can be an amazing adventure at every moment if we're invested in the cultivation process. But keeping in mind, the main point is, that's what we're meant for, according to the Śrīman Bhāgavatam, which says human life is meant to cultivate spiritual consciousness. Period. Full stop. It ends there. And if we do that, then we'll get the best fruits and flowers that will fully satisfy and nourish us. That's the implication. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

12th Nov 2025 In this Satsang, Sanjay focused on spiritual teachings and self-realization, with discussions about devotion, surrender, and various paths to knowing God or truth. He explored concepts of awareness, desirelessness, and the nature of the self, emphasizing how achieving a desireless state leads to inner peace and transformation. The discourse concluded with insights about suffering, liberation, and the importance of trusting one's inner self over external validations or religious dogmas. These are teachings and pointers from ongoing NDA(Non-duality awareness)/Advaitic Satsangs held at Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi Centre in Melbourne, Australia. For the past 30 years Sadhana Peterson has mainly exhibited with her 3 siblings who are also creatives (blame it on their mother's influence). Sadhana's love of clay was ignited in 1970 when she was 10 years old. Sadhana was handed some clay by Barbara Quittenbaum, the pottery teacher at a school where her mother was teaching. Sadhana proceeded to make a pig inspired by an ancient Egyptian hippopotamus and she knew at once that she wanted to be a potter when she grew up. At 15 years old Sadhana started serious classes with Margaret Tuckson who was well known for her documentation of New Guinea ceramics and her love of wood firing. https://ThePottersCast.com/1168
In this episode, Jacob Kyle sits down with his longtime friend and collaborator Nataraj Chaitanya, whose early creative influence helped shape the founding vision of Embodied Philosophy and even inspired the name CHITHEADS.Ten years after those first late-night conversations about yoga, consciousness, and modern spirituality, Jacob and Nataraj reunite to explore what it means to live a tantric life—one that embraces devotion, awareness, creativity, and radical honesty as integral parts of the spiritual path. From the story of Nataraj's early encounter with mantra practice as a young gay teenager in Virginia to his life as a teacher, devotee, and lineage-holder in the meditation tradition of Bhagavan Nityananda, this conversation moves through the full terrain of sādhana as both an art and a science of awakening.Together they discuss:The origins of Embodied Philosophy and the early spirit of CHITHEADSSādhana as alchemy: how awareness and aliveness generate bliss (ānanda)Aesthetics and yoga: why āsana is more like theatre than therapyLineage and transmission: the living power of a genuine spiritual traditionDevotion and nonduality: giving reality a personality and meeting the divine in all formsQueerness as contemplative opportunity: living between identities as a form of freedomPilgrimage as a way of life: learning to meet every moment as the Goddess herselfThroughout the conversation, the two reflect on their parallel journeys—academic, creative, and spiritual—and on the importance of rebuilding Embodied Philosophy around its original vision: to make philosophy and practice inseparable, and to honor both the scholar and the practitioner within each of us.The episode also marks a new chapter for Embodied Philosophy: Nataraj will be joining the faculty of Wisdom School and Sādhana School, contributing his decades of experience in yoga, mantra, and contemplative education to a new generation of seeker-teachers.This is a conversation about devotion, transformation, and friendship—about what it means to practice in a world that needs both scholarship and surrender, intellect and love.Guest Bio: Nataraj ChaitanyaNataraj Chaitanya has led retreats, workshops, kīrtans, and teacher training programs around the world for more than twenty years. After beginning a daily meditation and yoga practice at the age of thirteen, Nataraj immersed himself in the teachings of yoga and tantra and, by sixteen, began sharing these nectarean teachings with others. Over two decades, he has inspired countless seekers to take up a committed spiritual practice and has dedicated his life to bringing the wisdom of yoga into everyday life. His love of teaching is evident in the devotional and enthusiastic spirit with which he leads his sessions, creating environments where people from all walks of life can directly contact the fullness of their own Being. In January 2019, Nataraj became a formal initiate and custodian of the meditation tradition of Bhagavan Nityananda of Ganeshpuri, under Mahamandaleshwar Swami Shankarananda, one of Swami Muktananda's senior disciples. He currently lives and teaches in Melbourne, Australia.Episode LinksFollow Nataraj Chaitanya: Website →Instagram →Explore Embodied Philosophy:Wisdom School →Sādhana School →Watch CHITHEADS on YouTube →

My thoughts on sadhana recently.
Episode Summary: In this heartfelt and expansive episode, Amy Wheeler sits down with renowned author, educator, and activist Susanna Barkataki to discuss her new book Ignite Your Yoga, and the path of yoga leadership grounded in ethics, lineage, and collective care. Susanna shares personal stories from her life, including her upbringing in a bicultural household, her journey through burnout, and her evolving role as a teacher, student, and community leader. Together, they explore how Yogic leadership is born not from charisma or hierarchy, but from a deep commitment to daily sādhanā, self-awareness, and compassionate action.Susanna reflects on what it means to be a steward of the Yogic tradition rather than a consumer of it, and how Ignite Your Yoga is a call to bring yoga off the mat and into community, workplaces, activism, and healing justice movements. Amy and Susanna also talk about grief, aging, navigating burnout, and how letting go is often the first step toward transformation. This episode is a rare glimpse into the real, vulnerable, and luminous layers of yoga teaching and leadership—and what it means to stay true to the roots of yoga in a rapidly changing world.Topics Explored:Stewardship of yoga and how to honor lineage without replicating oppressionHow Ignite Your Yoga differs from Susanna's first book, Embrace Yoga's RootsYoga as collective care and community healingYogic leadership born from daily sādhanā and ethical clarityBurnout, perimenopause, and honoring your prakṛti through life transitionsCross-cultural identity and Susanna's role as a “bridge” between worldsBuddhism, yoga, and holding space for spiritual multiplicityWhy comparing your path to others leads us away from dharmaHow to trust the unfolding even in the darkness of “not knowing”Favorite Quotes from the Episode:“There are many ways—myriad ways—to serve and make a difference in the world. It's about a continual refinement—letting our sādhanā nourish our service, and letting our service nourish our sādhanā.” – Susanna Barkataki“Letting go doesn't mean giving up—it just means letting go of control over how you think it's supposed to look.” – Amy WheelerResources Mentioned:Ignite Your Yoga by Susanna BarkatakiEmbrace Yoga's Roots by Susanna BarkatakiSusanna's upcoming book tour and workshops (details on her website)Connect with Susanna Barkataki:Website: www.susannabarkataki.comInstagram: @susannabarkatakiBook Tour Info: igniteyouryoga.orgConnect with Amy Wheeler & The Yoga Therapy Hour:Website: www.theoptimalstate.comInstagram: @amylwheelerPodcast Archive: Yoga Therapy Hour on Spotify/AppleMUIH Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda:www.MUIH.edu
The crane's superpower is focus, 'cuz fish are fickle and they come and go very quickly. And you have to, in order to observe them, wait until they come near. So, the crane is able to stand and wait and focus and keep his or her mind on the task at hand, which is to catch a fish. So, this is one of the tenets of raising the mind to sattva, or the higher mode of nature, is to practice focus. There's focus, and I'm giving the antithesis as distraction. And the statement as a reminder that "focus is nectar and distraction is torture." Patañjali Muni, in his book called the Yoga Sūtras, goes into the details of the human mind and the states of mind one may achieve through practice of focus. And he describes how there's a hierarchy of states of mind, five in all. He gives these five categories. The lower three are non-productive. Have you ever been in a state of mind where you noticed that you weren't being productive, or you sensed you weren't being productive, that your mind might be absorbed in randomness? That's an interesting, almost contradictory in terms, because we say "absorbed," the mind's absorbed in something, it might indicate focus. But if I'm focusing on randomness, then I may not be completely focused. So, the higher states of mind have to do with absorption in a specific subject, and also what's called samādhi, or one becomes one-minded with that object. And this is one of the practices of meditation: to find the ultimate object of meditation and learn how to bring the mind back to it. And Krishna talks about this in the Bhagavad Gītā in the sixth chapter. For those of you who are familiar with the sixth chapter of the Bhagavad Gītā, it's about dhyāna. Dhyāna comes from the Sanskrit word dhī, which means to be able to focus the mind in one place and become absorbed in it. And to achieve that, Krishna says in the sixth chapter of the Bhagavad Gītā, one has to learn how to again and again bring the mind back to one-pointedness. And just as when we practice some physical activity again and again, we get better at it, similarly, the mind has neuroplasticity; it can also develop what might seem as a parallel to muscle memory. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #successsadhana #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

I was once driving with a friend of mine, who tends to get a little irritated when driving if somebody doesn't drive properly. Merging onto the freeway, he noticed that somebody didn't let him on, and I could tell that urge welled up in his chest and he started accelerating. And then I, the passenger, said the mantra, "We forgive you." As soon as I said that, it kind of broke that spell of that rush of anger that he had, and a second later, he looked over and said, "How do you do that?" To this day, he remembers that incident. It was at least 15 years ago, and whenever we get together, not all the time, but he will bring it up from time to time. He says, "I remember that time when you said when you uttered that mantra," because it's utterly contrary to what people often feel is the right thing to do. The mode of passion colors us. Incidentally, the mode of passion is the color red, appropriately, like when you "see red." It's practically literal, and it's also symbolic of the mode of passion that we see red. But we can preempt it if we are ready to forgive and let it go. And when we talk about forgiveness, forgiveness isn't condoning what anybody else does, but it's releasing ourselves from the situation so that we're not consumed by it, because rajas, that middle mode, it burns like fire, and fire can burn everything to ashes once it starts. Who knows how far it can go? It can burn down everything in your life. So learn to let it go instantaneously by having this mantra ready to go. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
Hi everyone, thanks for listening. Drop a line or two about the episode! Raj Khosla, one of the absolute greats, made films across genres. His films were often marked by outstanding music, well-written women characters, and self-referential nods. Prem KV has been a seeker since childhood. After studying agriculture in India, he worked as a plant scientist in Melbourne. Drawn back to his roots, he embraced the life of a Brahmachari, or monk, in Sadhguru's ashram for 15 years, exploring the inner dimensions of life. Since then, he has dedicated himself to sharing the essence of Indian culture. He has been traveling across the country, visiting and filming powerful temples and sacred spaces for the last six years. His YouTube videos, garnering over 4 million views, have showcased powerful temples and sacred spaces across the country. Notable works include the Sadhguru ShriBrahma series, which explores the life of a great yogi from a century ago, and the Himalayan series offering Rare Insights into Uttarakhand's revered Temples.Prem's work inspires individuals to reconnect with their roots and contribute to preserving India's rich culture and spiritual heritage. In today's episode, we journey into the realm of sacred architecture, embodied temples, and the role of Sadhana and modern life. Ancient temples in India weren't just places of worship. They were spiritual technologies designed with precision, purpose, and chronic intelligence. Built at energy vortexes aligned with celestial rhythms and vibrating with mantras and sacred geometry. These temples were constructed not just to honor the divine, but to transform the human. But what happens when we no longer live near ancient temples? What happens when we live in cities of noise, speed, and distraction? Today's conversation invites us to remember that the temple is not lost. It simply waits to be awakened within us. We'll explore how the body itself is a sacred temple, how to design meaningful temple spaces at home, and how daily sadana our devotional practice can serve as an offering that aligns us with our inner Sri Brahma, the still point of divine intelligence at the core of all things.Whether you're a seeker, a householder, or someone simply yearning to reconnect with the sacred in a modern world, this episode will guide you back to the inner sanctum through sound, breath, ritual, and remembrance that temples are not merely relics of the past. They are living technologies meant to awaken the temple within each of us.Send us a textFor 20% off Kerala Ayurveda products, use code OjasOasis at checkoutFor 20% off GarryNSun products, use code OJASOASIS20 at checkout Book a 1:1 with Sasha at https://www.ojasoasis.com/book For 50% off your initial intake consultation, mention you're a subscriber of the podcast. I'm going to relay to you the advice given in the Bhagavad Gītā in the next slide. It may sound commonplace, but one of the main ways to deal with the modalities is to tolerate them because they come and go. If you don't like the mode that you're being assailed by at a particular moment, then if you persevere and you keep going—of course, that would require a little bit of sattva—the modes will eventually change. Tolerate means to be capable of continued subjugation to an environmental condition without averse reaction. So, a person who anticipates the modes, knows what they look like when they come, and is able to recognize that this will pass, doesn't overreact to them. It's not an adverse reaction; adverse reactions entangle one more. But if you're able to tolerate it and let it pass like a storm.. When a storm comes, or when there's a particular geopolitical event that's happening, we can become so absorbed in it that our whole body and mind become affected. Or we can learn to tolerate because it's going to move on. That's why the mantra, 'This too will pass,' is very helpful. In fact, at the very beginning of this show, when we started on Zoom, it was the beginning point of the pandemic. And we talked a lot about this mantra, 'This too shall pass.' That's how the material world works; things come and go constantly. The thing that doesn't come and go is us, because we're the constant; we're the consciousness observing the things coming and going. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
Remember, Valmiki, one of the tricks of the mind is to say, "I'm too fallen. I can't chant." So Valmiki said that, "I can't chant. I'm too fallen. I might as well just wallow in Maya." And Nārada Muni invented a way. "Okay, you chant 'death, Mara, Mara, Mara, Mara,' and just keep chanting." And the śāstra says: "Nāmcparādha-yuktānāṁ nāmāny eva haranty agham aviśrānti-prayuktāni tāny evārtha-karāṇi ca." You're too fallen? You have too many offenses? Keep chanting. Don't stop. Just keep, keep doing it, no matter what. Find the spaces to do it. Keep doing it, even though your mind says, "You know this, it won't work for you, it works for everybody else," but you keep going. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #chantharekrishnaandbehappy #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose
