Hour 2 of the Killer B's with Joel Blank, and Jeremy Branham! We heard from Rockets GM Rafael Stone on a variety of topics including how they plan to use their stockpile of draft picks, if they want to bring Adams back, how they'll handle FVV's deadline, how he wants to attack improving the roster, and Jalen Green's value to the team Should we be wasting our time talking about the chances of the Rockets landing the top pick that would get them Cooper Flagg? Rockets exit interviews! Where do Joel and Jeremy think each key player needs to improve the most over the offseason?
WILL the Houston Rockets brass pick up FVV's player option to keep him in H-Town..??
Hour 3 of the Killer B's with Joel Blank, and Jeremy Branham included... More thoughts on Rockets-Warriors Game 4, including FVV summing our thoughts perfectly, and two really bad press conference questions from a Warriors reporter Reaction to Game 1 of Astros vs Tigers. Don't look now, but the Astros won again, and would be in the playoffs if they started now despite all the offensive struggles Branham foot in mouth disease struck again PLUS, our Car Wreck of the Day!
Hour 1 of the Killer B's with Joel Blank, and Jeremy Branham was mostly spent on breaking down and reacting to the Rockets Game 3 loss to the Jimmy Butler-less Warriors What was the biggest reason why they lost? Alpi and Amen took some blame What changes would you make? Maybe Jabari play more, and play Amen or FVV less?
Our guy Ronald The Show Hughley said it wasn't Jalen Green.. but FVV was the MOST disappointing aspect of the Rockets game 1 loss to the warriors as the NBA Playoffs are off & runnin'

The Houston Rockets started the season very out of sorts through their first three games, but the 6 game win streak they have gone on has us very impressed. Alperen Sengun has grown on both ends of the ball, and new additions FVV and Dillon Brooks have been doing their jobs very well. Anthony Edwards is starting this season playing like a top 10 player in the league. The two-way impact is amazing, and the peaks that he can hit offensively are unstoppable. Philly has managed to snatch the 1 seed in the East, with Tyrese Maxey emerging as one of the most promising young stars in the league. In a whirlwind start to the NBA's 2023 free agency window, the Houston Rockets landed two of their three preferred targets in Toronto guard Fred VanVleet and Memphis wing Dillon Brooks. They missed out, however, on Milwaukee big man Brook Lopez. The Rockets also had a string of other deals as they reshuffled their roster for new head coach Ime Udoka, sending out players such as KJ Martin, Usman Garuba, TyTy Washington, and Josh Christopher while bringing in veteran role players such as Jeff Green and Jock Landale. So, for a window in which Houston achieved some of its goals but not all, how should Rockets fans feel about the offseason work of general manager Rafael Stone? Ben DuBose and Paulo Alves dive into both the positives and negatives as part of their latest show.

In Episode 1435, Sean Woodley goes solo to break down where things sit with the Toronto Raptors going into the NBA's free agency window, which opens today at 6pm ET. Off the top, Sean digs into why he's ultimately feeling pretty zen going into the offseason despite the uncertainty surrounding Fred VanVleet. It seems pretty implausible that there aren't contingency plans in place if Fred bolts, but it also seems like it's still very possible that FVV does come back to the Raptors at the end of the day. Next, Sean runs through the financial picture for the Raptors and the dominoes that will need fall for the Raptors in the event VanVleet does re-sign and which money-cutting moves might be necessary in response. Plus, how does the uncertainty with James Harden in Philly inform the of the Raptors' plan to run it back, and what the ideal outcome for the next week or so would be for the Raptors through Sean's eyes.Be sure to join the Locked On Raptors Discord to come enjoy free agency among friends! https://discord.gg/FNWnVW55Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!eBay MotorsFor parts that fit, head to eBay Motors and look for the green check. In Episode 1434, Sean Woodley goes solo to discuss the latest Fred VanVleet rumours tying him strongly to the Houston Rockets, whether the Raptors' reported in Gabe Vincent if Fred walks is at all exciting, and what other contingency plans could make sense if the Raptors' point guard walks for nothing in free agency. Off the top, Sean digs into the latest Marc Stein report suggesting the Rockets are gearing up to offer Fred a max two-year deal in the range of $84 million, and why that type of balloon payment would make it untenable for the Raptors to stay in the bidding war. But what's the plan if he leaves? Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports reported Thursday that Gabe Vincent could be a backup plan for the Raptors if their lose their starting point guard. Sean digs into why that would be a pretty disappointed and probably ineffective way to address FVV's departure. Like VanVleet or not, he does things on the court that Vincent has never shown a capacity to pull off. Next, Sean digs into some other possible contingency plans, including a deal for one of Tyus Jones, Delon Wright or Monte Morris from the Washington Wizards, or a full mid-level offer to one of Jordan Clarkson or Bruce Brown, the latter of which is probably a pipe dream. Could a VanVleet departure see the Raptors' revisit the nuclear option of trading Pascal Siakam? Lastly, Sean digs into some listener questions about the off-season that didn't do much to help lift the creeping sense of dread he's feeling ahead of free agency on Friday.Come join the Locked On Raptors Discord, and spiral among friends! https://discord.gg/FNWnVW55Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!eBay MotorsFor parts that fit, head to eBay Motors and look for the green check. In Episodr 1422, Sean Woodley is joined by Vivek Jacob (Raptors.com) to talk through some more of their thoughts on the Toronto Raptors hiring Darko Rajaković as the teams prepares to introduce him on Tuesday afternoon, before reacting to Fred VanVleet officially opting out of his contract to become a free agent. Off the top, Sean and Vivek talk a little about the Denver Nuggets winning the NBA championship before diving more into what excites them about the Rajaković hire, and which players they're most excited to see play under Darko Rajaković's tutelage. Next, they discuss Fred VanVleet officially opting out of his contract to become an unrestricted free agent, which we all knew was coming for a year, and doesnt' tangibly change his status within the team's plans. What happens if FVV leaves for nothing in free agency? Sean also goes on a rant about whether you like Fred's game or not, the objective correct move is for the Raptors to try and retain him. Lastly, what about Gary Trent Jr., who has yet to make a decision on his own player option. If the Raptors lose Fred, does it become a priority to keep Trent Jr. around simply to prevent a mass exodus of shooting talent? The CHGO Bulls crew discuss a hypothetical sign-and-trade acquisition of Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet. The guys also react to the news of the Bulls hiring shooting coach Peter Patton. Plus, will the Nuggets seal their first championship with a victory in Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Monday night? In Episode 1363, Sean Woodley goes solo to break down the Toronto Raptors' 1-1 weekend against the Minnestoa Timberwolves and the league-best Milwaukee Bucks that featured plenty of promising signs for the 9th-place Raps. Off the top, Sean digs into how the Raptors' offense, while still searching for consistent results, has clearly found some sound process by putting guys into positions that history suggests they can succeed in. Fred VanVleet's walking into all kinds of pull-ups thanks to Jakob Poeltl's screening, Jak is finishing on the roll courtesy FVV with regularity, O.G. Anunoby's becoming the ultimate secondary scorer, and Pascal Siakam's using the post-up to his advantage once again. Next, Sean chats about another new wrinkle in VanVleet's game of late: crafty interior scoring, the type of skill maturation that is going to bode well as the 6'0 VanVleet ages. Plus, Precious Achiuwa's return to the rotation featured tons of promise, and the race for the play-in is likely down to the Raptors, Atlanta Hawks and Chicago Bulls. Lastly, Sean runs through the Good (The Raptors become a dunk-forward team), the Bad (Scottie Barnes' wrist injury) and the Hmm (the cost of the Raptors' offensive rebounding on the defensive end) to round out the show!Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!Built BarBuilt Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. In Episode 1302, Sean Woodley is joined by Jamar Hinds (Raptors Republic) to break down the Toronto Raptors' 124-123 loss to the Sacramento Kings, which featured bounce back efforts by Fred VanVleet and Scottie Barnes that were cancelled out by the glaring holes in the team's roster construction. Off the top, Sean and Jamar discuss why the game against the Kings was maybe the game this season that has most illuminated the holes in the roster that exist because of the the front office's roster building plan, and why now is the time for Masai Ujiri, Bobby Webster and the rest of the brass to make moves to address those holes. Next, they talk about the positive signs from FVV and Barnes, and why their performances add credence to the idea that the Raptors' problems are far more about players 5 through 10 than their top four guys. Lastly, they run through the Good (Fred and Scottie, because there wasn't much else), the Bad (Christian Koloko's box-outs, the parade of wide open Kings threes) and the Hmm (Pascal Siakam's weird shooting night, the upcoming schedule) before rounding out the show.Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!Built BarBuilt Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. Toronto Raptors General Manager Bobby Webster stopped by earlier today ahead of the Raptors first round series versus the 76ers. He touched on that, FVV pumping the tires of Embiid, the response of Pascal Siakam & what kind of upside he sees for Scottie Barnes.
On Wed.'s ep. of No Dunks, the guys debate last night's more devastating loss (the Kings or Wizards), the better bounce back W (Lakers in AD's return or the Raptors without FVV), and the best boxscore (Jokic, Embiid or Ant). That, plus thoughts on the new Rising Stars format, Cunningham's awesome game, and the top trade candidates on each Western Conference team, such as Brunson, Kyle Anderson, Barnes, and others.
