Thanks to PrizePicks for sponsoring the Gyro Step! The NBA Finals aren't yet over but the NBA rolls ever onward with the NBA Draft less than a week away and free agency soon after, so Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti of the Gyro Step podcast dove in and shared their ideal realistic Bucks offseason scenarios. The pod opened with their thoughts on Giannis Antetokounmpo's new career as a TikToker and potential streamer, before Ti and Rohan went through the current state of the Bucks cap sheet and why running it back completely is actually harder than you'd think. Then Rohan shared his vision for the best realistic Bucks offseason moves before Ti did the same, with many of the same key vets retained from last year's squad but different players brought in to fill out the new Point Giannis play-style. Ti and Rohan agreed that Bobby Portis and Gary Trent Jr. need to be retained, but were willing to let players like Brook Lopez and Kevin Porter Jr. walk. There's also another edition of Bucks Bounty and some Tom Cruise and Rocky/Creed talk at the end. Anthony can confirm reports out there that the Lakers have shown an interest in Brook Lopez (though the extent to which that's mutual remains to be seen) and isn't exactly over the moon about the potential signing. The guys discuss this, as well as a couple other player archetypes they'd like to see the Lakers stay away from. Anthony and Raj discuss the Brook Lopez noise after Anthony tells the story about how he found out Lopez was not exactly in a hurry to stick around long-term with the Lakers. From there, they discuss the approach they'd prefer the Lakers take at that position. Wednesday's episode features reaction and insight from our Ben DuBose to a handful of recent NBA rumors connected to the Rockets. Those include the New York Knicks' reported interest in Ime Udoka as head coach; a potential Kevin Durant trade with the Phoenix Suns perhaps getting closer; and free agent Brook Lopez becoming a potential backup plan for Houston, should Steven Adams choose to sign elsewhere.
The Phoenix Suns have a few good centers on their roster in Oso Ighodaro and Nick Richards, but last seasons' failures showed the world they needed to make a bigger move at a crucial position. Stephen and Erik bring a few free agent centers, and one trade target the team could add this offseason, with different types of production and price tags attached to them. Could they land a player like Clint Capela, Brook Lopez, Steven Adam or Luke Kornet via free agency? Or Nic Claxton via trade? PHNX Suns dives into it in another episode, Stephen also takes questions live in the final segment and talks NBA playoff basketball! Ti Windisch, Rohan Katti and Jordan Treske broke down why the Bucks are in a 0-2 hole and if they can recover LIVE on YouTube. The trio discussed the issues the Bucks starting lineup continues to have, the success Bobby Portis is having on both the offensive and defensive end, why Brook Lopez is a liability on the defensive end no matter what coverage the Bucks try, the lack of consistency from Milwaukee's bench, and the lack of trust in Doc Rivers. Thank you to today's sponsor: PrizePicks! – Go to PrizePicks.com/Gyrostep and use code GYROSTEP for a $50 bonus when you play $5!The Milwaukee Bucks trail the Indiana Pacers through one game of their rematch NBA Playoffs series after Milwaukee got drubbed in the second quarter and failed to come back in the second half. The Bucks lost 117-98 despite Giannis Antetokounmpo's 36-point performance on better than 60% field goal shooting.Ti Windisch, Rohan Katti, and Jordan Treske convened to dissect why Doc Rivers simply has to change up the starting lineup, even if they don't think he will, after Taurean Prince and Kyle Kuzma combined for a grand total of 0 points and Brook Lopez predictably struggled with Indiana's speed and shooting bigs. They also discuss what went right for the Bucks, namely their Giannis and bench lineup that got them back in the game despite Gary Trent Jr and Bobby Portis Jr not shooting well from 3, and how nice it was to see AJ Green show he can knock down 3s at a high clip in a playoff game. The GSPN trio also discussed the impact Damian Lillard could have when he returns to the lineup, either next time out or for Game 3, but agree that simply inserting Dame for Ryan Rollins won't be enough to counteract the Bucks weaknesses on display from their starting group. 0:00 ... Show open and Ross intros the panel and our special guest Jared Greenberg of TNT Sports and NBA TV. 0:47 ... Ross dedicates episode #152 to the Houston Rockets, who won 52 games this season. 1:08 ... Bruce introduces Jared Greenberg ot TNT Sports and NBA TV 1:49 ... Eastern conference "play in tournament" preview ... Orlando and the Bulls get the 7 and 8 spots 3:02 ... Western conference "play in" preview ... Golden State gets #7 and Memphis #8 3:48 ... Will Houston be challenged by a #7 seed like Golden State in the first round? Jared is impressed by Houston's mental makeup. 6:07 ... The Rockets are one of the hardest playing teams in the league ... Detroit and OKC are the others. Jared expects ramped up intensity from all 3 of them in the playoffs. 7:06 ... Ross tees up the preview of the Pistons/Knicks series ... lots of pressure on the Knicks while the Pistons are playing with house money. 8:45 ... Will the season be a bust if the Knicks don't make the conference finals? Jared puts their season into context and suggests changes may be coming if they fall short of expectations. 10:06 ... The Pistons have more playoff experience than many realize and NY really needs Jalen Brunson to play well. 11:11 .... Indiana vs Milwaukee is a repeat of last season's 4 vs 5 matchup in the east ... with Damian Lillard out, can the Bucks possibly win the series? Since Giannis is the best player on the court, he may be able to carry Milwaukee to a series victory. 12:35 ... Ross asks Jared about the Bucks personnel moves during the season with the addition of Kyle Kuzma and Kevin Porter Junior and the loss of Khris Middleton. 15:26 ... Tyrese Haliburton has been spectacular since the All-Star break ... his numbers across the board have been great. But Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner have been solid too. 17:17 ... Can any lower seeds challenge Cleveland or Boston in the east? Is there any chance the Cavs could start their first playoff series on a "down" note in game one? Which first round opponent would give Cleveland's defense problems? 19:17 ... Jared sizes up a possible eastern conference finals matchup between Boston and Cleveland. 20:40 ... Joe Mazzulla risked losing some games during the season in order to give guys rest and keep them fresh for the playoffs. Much like the 1995 Rockets, the 2025 Celtics knew they could take their foot off the gas at times in search of a larger prize. 22:57 ... Cade Cunningham and Evan Mobley are two young players who will have huge opportunities in the playoffs. Jared feels that Mobley's success will be somewhat dependent on Donovan Mitchell, who must continue his "team first" play. 24:49 ... The Wolves/Lakers 3 vs 6 series in the west should be fascinating ... Jared feels like Minnesota really stepped up their defense as the season wore on. Julius Randle may have some extra motivation as a former Laker. Will Anthony Edwards help eliminate a Hall of Famer for the second year in a row? 28:02 ... Minnesota has an advantage with better bigs, so JJ Redick may go small and try to limit Rudy Gobert's impact. 29:16 .... Denver vs the LA Clippers in the 4 vs 5 series ... Nikola Jokic gives the Nuggets a presence that no team can match. Kawhi Leonard's health is always a potential issue. And Ivica Zubac is someone Jared has his eyes on regarding the matchup with Jokic. 30:36 ... Ross asks if any team in the west can challenge OKC ... um ... No. But Jared feels any number of teams could make it to the western conference finals, they just can't beat the Thunder. 32:16 ... NBA Championship matchup: Boston vs Oklahoma City ... so who does Jared think will win the Larry O'Brien Trophy? Can the Thunder find a second consistent scorer along with Gilgeous-Alexander? 34:46 ... Ross asks about Jared's favorite postgame interview and he has a really good Stephen Curry story. 36:02 ... Postseason Awards discussion ... who will win MVP? 37:45 ... Is Shai Gilgeous-Amexander a "mini version" of Jokic due to his playing style? 39:39 ... Rookie of the Year? Jared runs through the list of worthy candidates but settles on ____! 40:14 ... Defensive Player of the Year? Victor Wembanyama would have won if not for missing so many games, but he doesn't qualify. Jared drops a great stat about Wemby and Brook Lopez. 43:29 ... Most Improved Player? As a former number one overall pick, should Cade Cunningham really be considered? 45:28 ... World B likes Cunningham but also feels Ivica Zubac is worthy. 48:41 ... Coach of the Year? Jared has four solid candidates but he feels that rewarding the coach of a 6 seed is an problem for him. So he's going with the coach who took a good team to "great," rather than taking a bad team to "good." 49:25 ... Jared has worked for TNT's NBA coverage for more than a decade and he shares his feelings about the final weeks of TNT's NBA coverage as their 36 year run covering the league ends in early June. 51:06 ... Ross thanks Jared and wraps things up ... TRT 51:34

The Milwaukee Bucks lost 108-106 to the Phoenix Suns for a lot of reasons, but one of them was definitely late game execution. That's where Ti Windisch started in this solo Gyro Step episode, with his disappointment in the Bucks not being on the same page yet again in a big-time moment. Other topics include the injury report, with a foreboding update on Damian Lillard's status plus Milwaukee being short on bigs for most of the rest of the way, as well as a look at the current rotation and what is not working. The spacing with the starters is a struggle between Kyle Kuzma and Brook Lopez, and AJ Green's ongoing slump isn't helping matters much. At least Giannis Antetokounmpo looks great still, and Ryan Rollins put together his best game in weeks vs Phoenix. Thanasis Antetokounmpo a recent stretch of games for the Milwaukee Bucks, including a heart-breaker in Indiana and a loss to Oklahoma City. Gruber Law Office's Thanalysis is presented by Potawatomi Casino Hotel and McDonald's.
The Milwaukee Bucks got a win in their most important game of this end of season slog, defeating the Indiana Pacers at home to secure the tiebreaker vs Indiana and get themselves some breathing room in the standings to hold onto the fourth seed. But the very next night a short-handed Oklahoma City Thunder team came into Fiserv Forum and showed Milwaukee they're not at the level of the top NBA contenders with a firm road win.Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti first pause to recognize the immense loss of Junior Bridgeman, a true icon. Following that, they dive into the big Indiana win including awful officiating and the right balance of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard brilliance, before getting to the OKC loss and trying to figure out what's wrong with Milwaukee's offense. Eventually they explore more starting lineup changes, including if Giannis would ever start at the 5 for Brook Lopez and if Gary Trent Jr. should swap in for Kyle Kuzma to open up more space for Giannis to operate within. Milwaukee Bucks vs. Dallas Mavericks NBA Pick Prediction by Tony T. Bucks at Mavericks Injuries Connaughton, Nance and Portis are out for Milwaukee. Giannis and Lillard are probable. Davis, Gafford, Lively and Martin are out for Dallas with Washington questionable. Recent Box Score Key Stats Bucks at Mavericks 8:30PM ET—Milwaukee improved to 34-25 following their 121-112 home victory to Denver. The Bucks shot 47% with 41% from three. Giannis scored 28 points with 19 rebounds. Brook Lopez got 22 points with four rebounds. Milwaukee allowed 45% shooting to the Nuggets with 26% from three. Dallas allowed 41% shooting to the Hornets with 26% from three.
The Milwaukee Bucks extended their winning streak to four games with another great comeback vs the Miami Heat, with new additions Kyle Kuzma, Kevin Porter Jr., and Jericho Sims continuing to play well and add needed athleticism. Ti Windisch was going to start with the new guys until Rohan Katti rightly pointed out that Giannis Antetokounmpo deserved top billing for the way he's surgically controlled games despite being on a minutes restriction, so the latest Gyro Step covers him first after a look at Bucks suspensions including Bobby Portis and potentially KPJ, and then gives into the impacts the new players have had and whether the Bucks have a starting 5 problem. They also cover if Ryan Rollins will still get signed to the Bucks open spot.GSPN's Bucks podcasts are presented by PrizePicks – Go to PrizePicks.com/Gyrostep and use code Gyrostep for a $50 bonus when you play $5! The Milwaukee Bucks looked like world-beaters with Kyle Kuzma in tow…for one quarter. The Bucks ultimately lost a disappointing game to the Atlanta Hawks on the road in Kuzma's debut, although the loss wasn't all on him. Ti Windisch and Jordan Treske huddled after the game to share their thoughts on the newest Buck, who early on flashed the combo of size and athleticism Milwaukee wanted to get when they decided to trade Khris Middleton and continued to show flashes of both the good and bad parts of his game throughout the night. They also discussed Milwaukee's offensive issues once Atlanta looked to force the ball out of Damian Lillard's hands, how to best utilize Bobby Portis who again had a huge game with Giannis Antetokounmpo out of the lineup, and how Jericho Sims could help solve some lineup issues involving Brook Lopez. The Milwaukee Bucks are stuck in another rut in their up-and-down season after dropping 3 of their 4 games on a West Coast trip, looking old and slow again in consecutive losses in Portland and San Antonio. Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti convened to discuss Doc Rivers and Jon Horst both needing to put more athleticism around Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, their latest thoughts on if a Khris Middleton move is required, the best options on the trade deadline, how much the Bucks can/should rely on Andre Jackson Jr. and Ryan Rollins, and the absence of Bobby Portis being felt as Brook Lopez struggles against faster teams. The Milwaukee Bucks continued their losing streak to top Eastern Conference foes, falling to 0-8 vs the New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics following a blowout loss on Sunday afternoon that saw the Knicks hang 140 on Milwaukee in a rout. The Bucks had no answers for Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns for most of the game, and tried multiple defenders on each of them. Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti discussed how hapless Milwaukee looked and what, if anything, the Bucks should've done differently in the game before examining the needs on the roster, and wondering if Chris Livingston could help after he had a dominant G League performance in a Wisconsin Herd win on the same day. Can the Bucks carry both Bobby Portis and Brook Lopez into the postseason given their poor matchup vs some of the top teams, and how necessary is another center option? They also discussed how Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard can play better, including trying a new free throw routine and staying aggressive throughout the game. The Milwaukee Bucks yet again have ushered in a suboptimal New Year, New Me, as Milwaukee is 0-2 in 2025 after losing games to the Brooklyn Nets and Portland Trail Blazers, continuing a trend of dropping games vs bad teams. Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti discuss how the Bucks Big 3 all carry fault for this, including Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard showing some signs of recovering from illness still, Khris Middleton's role in the Bucks offensive and defensive problems, Doc Rivers making changes to the big rotation and favoring Bobby Portis over Brook Lopez and why, how various role players have looked and more. The CHGO Bulls crew break down the Chicago Bulls 116-111 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night. Josh Giddey played perhaps his best game as a Bull, notching a triple double while playing inspired defense. Peck and Big Dave discuss what a game like this means for Giddey and his future in Chicago. Plus, Coby White showed an aggression attacking the basket we haven't seen in awhile. Will Gottlieb joins from the United Center with his thoughts on the game and intel from the postgame locker room. Big Dave awards the Empire Today Goon of the Night!
The Milwaukee Bucks have missed Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard for their last three games, but managed to go 2-1 in that stretch (and had a good shot at 3-0) thanks to some big-time contributions from Bobby Portis, Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez, Ryan Rollins, and other key players. Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti sat down after the Bucks lost to the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday to discuss the latest on Giannis and Dame's status with the illness that is keeping them on the injury report, how Bobby has quieted trade talk with his exemplary play, Khris Middleton showing positive signs toward his progression while still struggling somewhat with ball pressure, Rollins returning to the rotation, the ups and downs of Rollins, AJ Green, Andre Jackson Jr, Gary Trent Jr and Taurean Prince, and gave Brook Lopez a shout-out for reaching 20th in NBA history in all-time blocks. Then they laughed at the Miami Heat for this mess of a Jimmy Butler situation. Bulls lose to the Bucks 112-91. Cam Smith and Drew Stevens are here to take you through the game. Even with Milwaukee missing their two top stars, the Bulls were still unable to find their rhythm. With the ball struggling to find the bottom of the net for the Bulls and the Bucks getting support from Brook Lopez, Bobby Portis, and Khris Middleton (61 combined) the outcome was no surprise. Jalen Smith's 14 points and 7 rebounds off the bench was good in support. The Bulls now prepare for some winnable games to end the season. The guys also discuss their favorite holiday movies!
The Milwaukee Bucks made it to the NBA Cup semifinals for the second straight year but this time managed to beat the athletic team led by a gifted shooter and passer, overcoming the Atlanta Hawks thanks to a dominant MVP performance from Giannis Antetokounmpo and some late game Damian Lillard heroics. Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti covered the Giannis and Dame takeovers, the big impact Milwaukee's other bigs Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis had, how Andre Jackson Jr is growing in real time in his new starting role, the rough ball-handling from Khris Middleton, A.J. Green's ups and downs, and looked ahead to the Bucks' opponent the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Cup final on Tuesday night. Also trade season is officially started now, so Ti and Rohan broke down the Dennis Schroder to Golden State deal, what the Pistons are up to and how Paul Reed could end up a Buck, and the Thomas Bryant to Indy trade. Khris Middleton made his return to action for the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night, logging more than 22 minutes in a close loss to the Boston Celtics, who swept the season series 3-0. Ti Windisch and Numac sat down on Saturday morning to discuss Khris, who moved well despite missing most of his shots from the field. Ti and Numac then broke down the need for Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard to move the ball move and hunt advantages against teams as good as Boston, the issues the Bucks bigs (Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis) had against the Celtics and the need for other options vs relying on them both, role players like A.J. Green and Gary Trent Jr. playing well, lineup options for starters and throughout games with Khris back in action, and why Andre Jackson Jr. doesn't get to play much in second halves. They concluded with a look at the Bucks schedule for the rest of the season, and why it's crucial to start another winning streak soon with the NBA Cup games and carry that into the hard part of the season in February and March. This week, Marques and Kris dive into the Milwaukee Bucks' excellent late-November stretch with Justin Garcia, host on the Bucks Radio Network & the Locked On Bucks podcast. They take a look at the steps toward the team's defensive resurgence and how a difficult early stretch helped them solidify rotations and depth. Marques, Kris and Justin then dissect how Andre Jackson Jr., AJ Green, Brook Lopez and of course, Giannis Antetokounmpo, fueled the team's success. They turn their attention to Damian Lillard's stellar passing and slashing before breaking down the team's deep role player rotation and how Khris Middleton will fit into that when he returns. To finish up this week's episode, Marques & Kris answer some questions from Bucks fans in Marques' Mailbag. Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti convened Wednesday morning to discuss the Bucks' changing fortunes, including the young Bucks like AJ Green and Andre Jackson Jr both continuing to be prominent players for Milwaukee, Brook Lopez continuing to carry a huge two-way load for the Bucks, Doc Rivers getting through to the squad and pulling the right levers, and Dame ushering back in Dame time. The Milwaukee Bucks are 4-1 in their last 5 games after a solid win over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night, and 5-0 in those games if you ask Doc Rivers. Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti sat down for a new Gyro Step after the Bulls game to discuss Giannis' dominance while keeping his teammates involved, A.J. Green looking like the clear starter at the two-guard going forward based on his chemistry with Giannis and elite two-way play, Damian Lillard's ongoing slump, Brook Lopez turning back the clock, Khris Middleton's injury update, and plenty more.
