Damo finds himself emotionally moved by the final scene, where the music hits and we remember just how incredible Whitney was. Unfortunately, her performance as Rachel Marron doesn't land quite as well with the crew. Plot holes? Yep, we got ‘em. From inexplicable security failures (three guards for the world's biggest star?) to the mind-boggling moment where a would-be assassin uses a sniper rifle in a room full of Hollywood elites, the film is more Swiss cheese than suspense thriller. Not to mention the infamous scarf-on-the-sword scene, which leads the team to ponder whether a katana counts as foreplay and why no one, ever, draws a curtain in this movie.But The Bodyguard (1992) isn't without its joys. There's the epic needle drops, a lakeside cabin that Damo would happily disappear to forever, and a cast of cartoonishly awful background characters that you're almost rooting for the stalker. Aaron Heary is a Gage Roads and Good Drinks original. Starting in 2004 as a brewer, Aaron quickly advanced to Head Brewer, before becoming General Manager of Operations in 2009. Five years later, Aaron was appointed to his current role of Chief Operating/Chief Strategy Officer. Professionally brewing since 2000, Aaron has successfully navigated the world of brewing and business. Aaron holds a Diploma in Brewing from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling in London, while also receiving a Master of Business Administration from Curtin University. Aaron is well respected within the brewing industry and as a qualified beer judge has been invited to adjudicate at the Australian International Beer Awards Melbourne, The Sydney Royal Beer and Cider Show, and the Perth Royal Beer Show. Aaron served as Vice-President of the West Australian Brewers Association between 2015 and 2018.

This week we catch up with Gage Roads' Chief Strategy Officer Aaron Heary. Midway through last year we had a conversation with Gage Roads co-founder John Hoedemaker and Aaron about the origins and history of the publicly listed brewery. Thanks to Bintani this is a special edition of Radio Brews News, live from the West Australian Brewers Association Craft Brewers Conference. Today we have two conversations. Firstly Rhys Lopez, Head Brewer from Otherside Brewing and then Dylan Hunter from Cheeky Monkey. Both are brewers who, on their way to other places, fell into craft beer and then into brewing. Rhys was a young journalism student who 14 years ago was saved from taking a part time job as a supermarket night filler by a friend who instead got him a job as a glassy at Little Creatures and changed his life forever. Then we have Cheeky Monkey's Dylan Hunter who started working in wine packaging before discovering home brewing and moving to the packaging line at Gage Roads, which saw him move into brewing. This week on Beer is a Conversation Matt Kirkegaard has a long over due chat with brewer Michael Capaldo. In a career spanning more than a decade Michael has gone from working as a packaging assistant with Little Creatures to a production brewing role with Gage Roads while completing a Graduate Diploma of Brewing through Edith Cowan University. He then took the reins as head brewer for Sydney Brewery and Lovedale Brewery where he led the team to winning trophies at the Australian International Beer Awards and Royal Sydney Show within it's very first year of operation in 2014. In 2017 Michael moved from the production side of the industry to take up a sales role at Hop Products Australia working to provide on-the-ground support to brewers across News South Wales and Queensland.
