Die Migrationspolitik soll ordentlich umgekrempelt werden - das hat sich die Ampelkoalition vorgenommen. Es geht um das Aufenthaltsrecht, Einbürgerungen und die Einwanderung von Fachkräften. Über Letzteres wurde heute im Kabinett beraten: Demnach sollen die Hürden für eine Einwanderung von Arbeitskräften aus dem Nicht-EU-Ausland gesenkt werden. Nach Einschätzung von Herbert Brücker vom Institut für Arbeitsmarkt- und Berufsforschung handelt es sich um einen durchdachen und vernünftigen Plan, allerdings sei das Gesetz in seiner jetzigen Ausgestaltung auch etwas kompliziert. "Ich weiß nicht, ob die Menschen im Ausland da noch durchblicken, was für sie gerade passt oder nicht", so der Arbeitsmarktexperte. Ob auch Flüchtlinge und Asylbewerberinnen von dem Gesetz profitieren können, erklärt Brücker ebenfalls im Gespräch mit SWR-Moderator Florian Zelt.

Deutschland registriert eine stark steigende Zahl an Asylwerbern. Rund 200 Tausend Asylanträge werden dieses Jahr zusätzlich zu den rund eine Million registrierten Flüchtlingen aus der Ukraine erwartet. Zudem hat die Bundespolizei bis Ende September fast 57 Tausend unerlaubte Einreisen nach Deutschland festgestellt. Und die prekäre Lage von vier Millionen Syrern in türkischen Flüchtlingslagern mobilisiert derzeit ganze Flüchtlingskonvois zum Aufbruch in die EU. Der Deutsche Landkreistag sieht Zustände wie in den Jahren der starken Migrationsbewegung 2015 und 2016. "Vor allem die Versorgung der Flüchtlinge mit Wohnraum, aber auch die Bereitstellung von Plätzen in Kita und Schule sowie die gesundheitliche Versorgung werden zunehmend zum Problem", warnt Präsident Reinhard Sager. Die Union feuert mit Debatten über "Sozialtourismus" die Diskussion noch an. Steht in einer Zeit, in der es vielen Deutsche um die Existenz geht, die Willkommenskultur auf dem Prüfstand?
