It was the very definition of a game of two halves on Sunday as Newcastle blew Nottingham Forest away in an 11 minute blitz in the first half, but sat back and almost surrendered their 3 goal lead in in the second. Some real positives in the performances of Lewis Miley and Lewis, but there were some concerning points too.Subscribe on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@EverMoreNUFCBusiness enquiries: evermorenufc@gmail.comFollow us on our social media pages:Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/evermorenufc.bsky.socialX: https://x.com/EverMore_NUFCThreads: https://www.threads.net/@evermore_nufc#NewcastleUnited #NUFC #NUFCFans
Saturday's heavy defeat at City was a tough watch, and was a reminder of some of the shortfalls we still have as a squad. The defence very much looked its age against a reinvigorated City attack, and the work and protection from midfield was not there. Is it now time for Lewis Miley to be starting with Joelinton missing? He was the one bright sport on an otherwise gloomy afternoon at The Etihad.Follow us on our social media pages:Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/evermorenufc.bsky.socialX: https://x.com/EverMore_NUFC
It wasn't quite serene progress against Bromley in the FA Cup on Sunday, but there was a brutal beauty in the strikes provided by Lewis Miley and Will Osula either side of an Anthony Gordon penalty. Some key questions after the weekend. Did anybody put their hand up for a first-team place 'proper'? What's going on with Martin Dubravka? Why did Chris drag George into town in the wee hours? And, with a Jas McQuade thunderbolt, The Lasses TM also went through to the next round of the FA Cup. Attention for everyone returns to the league where opportunity knocks with some winnable fixtures on the horizon. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Keegan and Craig review the 3-1 home win the 3rd round of the FA Cup against League Two Bromley. The lads wax lyrical about man of the match Lewis Miley and just how good he was but also discuss his place in the squad and where does he fit in. Big Will Osula opened his NUFC account with a rocket to seal the game and send us through to an away tie at St Andrews to take on Birmingham City. It's Monday night and we're asking the same question, What's Gannin On? This week we look back at the disappointing 2-2 draw with Bournemouth. Mark and Jack try to make sense of a crazy game at St James' Park, as Newcastle lead twice but have to come back from two goals down to salvage a 4-4 draw against a spirited Luton Town. It was a wonderful game for the neutral but not so much for the Toon Army as some familiar defensive failings came to the fore. We ask what Howe can do to stop the team shipping goals, and whether his loyalty to players is costing the team. There was finally some good news on the injury front as Harvey Barnes returned after four months out with a big goal. Lewis Miley continues to show promise and Howe's men have started scoring goals with regularity. However, there was more injury woe as Anthony Gordon left the stadium in a moon boot. We analyse what this ludicrous game means for the season as a whole and where the Magpies go from here.

We're coming to you just 24 hours before Eddie Howe's men take on Chelsea in the Carabao Cup quarter finals and despite the best efforts of our resident gremlin, Chris Waugh. A three-nil win at home to Fulham would be a nice result under any circumstances, but after European heartbreak in midweek, and with an unwelcome setback in our previously relenting injury crisis, it was a magnificent effort. Lewis Miley got his first senior goal to break the deadlock and teammate Sean Longstaff was full of praise for his junior colleague, and Becky Langley's women won 11-3(!) to round off the calendar year unbeaten(!!!). It's Monday night and we're asking the same question, What's Gannin On? This week we look back on Newcastle getting Wednesday out of their system with a 3-0 win over Fulham. Bill and Kevin giggle for sixty-five minutes straight after 10-man Fulham roll out the red carpet for a rampant and entertaining Newcastle United. 17-year old Lewis Miley, who has more European minutes under his belt than Sunderland Association Football Club, scored his maiden Premier League goal for Newcastle, Callum Wilson was made angry by Miguel Almiron scoring a goal, and Dan Burn molested the ball into the net for a third, as Newcastle cruised in what ended up as a very fun and uplifting match. We discuss important topics like Emil Krafth's attractiveness, the plight of Tino Livramento not getting all the attention, and ponder how Fotmob could mistake Dan Burn's foot for whichever of his appendages actually scored that goal.
It was a massive milestone for Lewis Miley as he became Newcastle's youngest ever Premier League goalscorer with the opener again Fulham. Jack, Dimi and Craig lavish praise on the youngster who has taken the season by storm and made himself an indispensable squad member at the age of just 17. The game was in the balance at half-time despite Raul Jimenez's red card early on, with Newcastle labouring to create clear opportunities against the 10 men. Another Bruno masterclass swung the game in the Magpies favour though, and it was a comfortable victory in the end. The win came at a cost though with yet more injury woe befalling Howe's men; both Schar and Joelinton limping off in the first half. Although there were welcome returns for a number of key players. A vitally important win for Newcastle as they successfully banished the European blues.
