Prendere una decisione in un contesto pieno di incertezze. Questo è il difficile lavoro cui sono chiamate le imprese di trasporto, impegnate a programmare il rinnovo della propria flotta di mezzi pesanti in un contesto che, da un lato, spinge per la transizione energetica e dall’altro offre poche soluzioni e ancora meno certezze su quali soluzioni si affermeranno (carburanti sintetici, biocarburanti, elettricità, idrogeno). Il “problema della sostituzione della flotta” è da tempo oggetto della ricerca matematica ed economica e, di recente, un gruppo di ricercatori della WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management ha messo a punto un sofisticato algoritmo che promette di aiutare i fleet manager a decidere su quali tecnologie investire. Ne parliamo con Marialisa Nigro, professoressa di Trasporti all’Università degli Studi Roma Tre.
