Questa è finalmente un'occasione per fare rete, per parlare di musica e di valorizzazione dei talenti artistici del nostro territorio. Da sempre We Believe in Music è stata punto di riferimento per gli artisti emergenti pugliesi, dove oltre 100 artisti, band e deejay hanno varcato la nostra casa per far conoscere al pubblico la loro musica, le loro emozioni, le persone che sono dietro il magico mondo chiamato musica. Strati Music Contest non può che definirsi altro che un Trait d'union con We Believe in Music: è un contest musicale rivolto ad artisti e musicisti che vanno dai 15 anni in su, in formazioni singole o strutturati con band, senza limiti di genere musicale. Il tema leader del contest è quello della valorizzazione dei talenti artistici e musicali, esattamente quello che ogni sabato da 5 anni a questa parte facciamo con le nostre interviste nel nostro radio show condotto da @chiccovoice , @skattone e la regia di @angel_white89I Premi verranno assegnati in seguito alle valutazioni di una giuria che si occuperà dell'assegnazione di 4 PREMI in totale. In diretta su RKO, oggi, giovedì 30 maggio, alle ore 21:00, le Officine Cantelmo di Lecce apriranno gratuitamente le loro porte per ospitare la finale pugliese dell'Arezzo Wave Contest, il più importante concorso italiano per la musica emergente, giunto quest'anno alla sua trentottesima edizione. La giuria, presieduta da Carlo Chicco (giornalista, dj, speaker radiofonico e fondatore di RKO), sarà composta da Tobia Lamare (cantante, musicista, produttore e anima della Lobello Records), Marco Ancona (cantante, compositore, autore, chitarrista, produttore e figura di spicco dell'alternative rock pugliese), Giustina De Iaco (attrice e speaker radiofonica) e Giorgio Consoli (musicista, autore ed attore). Insieme, valuteranno le sei band selezionate tra le quaranta partecipanti alla fase preliminare.Sul palco si esibiranno:Melpi (Brindisi), con la sua esperienza pop.Raestavinve (Foggia), un duo cantautorale,Violante (Lecce), una rock band,Denny Music (Bari), una band indiepop,Cristiano Cosa (Taranto), cantautore e polistrumentista,Lit Up Fuse (Rutigliano), un gruppo post-punk con influenze elettroniche e hip-hop.La band vincitrice passerà alla valutazione di una nuova giuria, che selezionerà i dodici finalisti per le esibizioni dell'11 e 12 ottobre a Cavriglia, in Toscana, durante l'Arezzo Wave Love Contest & Festival.Nel 2024, l'Arezzo Wave Contest ha registrato quasi 900 iscrizioni provenienti da 99 province italiane. Siamo finalmente giunti all'atto finale del contest 2022 di Arezzo Wave in Puglia. Dopo le selezioni, che si sono tenute in ogni provincia, dal vivo o in studio, siamo giunti alla tanto attesa finale: sei band si giocano a suon di musica un posto sul palco nazionale.La finale regionale si svolgerà oggi, sabato 16 luglio, nella splendida cornice estiva del Cotriero di Gallipoli. Sul palco a partire dalle 21 saliranno: Il Maestrale e i Violent Scenes da Bari, i Marte da Taranto, Insanis da Lecce, Matteo Rogoli da Taranto e RaestaVinvE da Foggia.La giuria composta da esperti, tra musicisti, operatori culturali e giornalisti specializzati, sotto la supervisione del responsabile regionale della Fondazione Arezzo Wave in Puglia Carlo Chicco, avrà il difficile compito di scegliere soltanto un gruppo che, passando il turno, accederà di diritto al palco nazionale e non solo.La serata sarà aperta da uno speciale djset a cura del frontman degli Apres la Classe, Cesko e dello stesso Carlo Chicco, in un doppio set assolutamente da non perdere.Tutto il live sarà trasmesso in diretta radio da RKO (www.rkonair.com) radio ufficiale dell'evento.

Covid-19 came perilously close to scuttling a secondary school music contest that's been held here since 1965, the annual NZCT Chamber Music Contest. But determined that months of work by the potential contestants wouldn't go to waste, and that it could still pay the musicians employed as adjudicators and coaches, Chamber Music New Zealand's Outreach Coordinator Beckie Lockhart came up with a plan. Time was against her as she tried to figure out how do things digitally. The National Semi-finals and Finals will still be live performances and will be held early next month. Lynn Freeman asked Beckie how she pulled it off.
