Kelsie Watts's musical journey began in Lubbock, Texas, where she found her voice at two years old in a family of musicians. From early performances in church and school to studying opera and commercial music at Belmont University in Nashville, she developed her craft and gained recognition. Her self-released music led to a feature on AJ McLean's 2020 single “Hurts to Love You,” while her viral rendition of Kelly Clarkson's “I Dare You” on The Voice Season 19 earned her a spot on Team Kelly and millions of views. Now an independent pop artist, Kelsie continues to inspire with her music and advocacy. Her single “Live Out Loud” became the anthem for the Tokyo Sky Tree Global Campaign during the 2021 Olympics, followed by empowering tracks like “Look What You Missed” and the poignant ballad “I Can't Say Goodbye,” honoring her late brother who she lost to mental health struggles. In 2024, she released “After Midnight” and “Forgetful,” a Diane Warren-penned duet with Nate Amor. Last season on "The Voice" she didn't get the result that she was hoping for when no chairs turned for her for her blind audition. She didn't let that deter her, so she went back home and she worked really hard, using the advice and tips that the judges gave to her. Here comes season 27, and Iris is back. This time she came prepared, and like a well oiled machine she hit the ground running and stuck the landing. Iris sang "You Are My Sunshine" a classic song, but she slowed down the tempo and using the advice of the coached from last season, she made the song her own, which turned out to be a powerful and extremely impressive performance. Support the show

Jessica Barden is an undeniable force on screen. I first saw her in The End of the F***ing World on Netflix and immediately knew she had a one-of-a-kind energy that was bound to make any project she was part of sizzle. Sure enough, she did just that for a number of independent features, including Nicole Riegel's Holler, which was named one of the Top Ten Independent Films of 2021 by the National Board of Review. Now Barden is busy stealing scenes in yet another significant way. She's doing so in one of the most popular franchises out there opposite some of the industry's greatest icons.Barden plays a young Valya Harkonnen in Dune: Prophecy. While living on Lankiveil, Valya frequently butts heads with her family who seemingly have no urgency to restore the Harkonnen name by taking revenge on the Atreides. After her brother's murder, allegedly at the hands of Vorian Atreides, Valya joins the Sisterhood where she quickly discovers she holds great power and has few limitations when it comes to using it on others to get what she wants. With Dune: Prophecy wrapping up its first season, Barden joined me for a Collider Ladies Night conversation to revisit her journey to the franchise and to dig into how she found her Dune character alongside Emily Watson. Barden also offers her thoughts on a number of key scenes for Valya this season, and pinpoints what she'd love to see happen in the show's recently announced second season. Hosted on Acast. After several weeks of Blind Auditions, Battles, Knockouts, Playoffs, and Live Performance Shows, The Voice Season 26 Finale happened. Dozens of singers across four Coach teams were whittled down to just five finalists: Danny Joseph from Reba McEntire's team, Jeremy Beloate from Snoop Dogg's team, Sofronio Vasquez from Michael Bublé's team, Sydney Sterlace from Gwen Stefani's team, and Shye, also from Team Bublé. After singing their hearts out one last time in the December 9 episode, America sent in their votes. The results were revealed on live TV-and one Artist's life was changed forever.   So, who won The Voice Season 26?   Sofronio Vasquez won The Voice Season 26!   Shye took second place. Sydney Sterlace took third place. Danny Joseph took fourth place. Jeremy Beloate took fifth place.   Before the winner was announced, fans were treated to a star-studded Finale episode. Not only did all the Artists in the Top 5 perform duets with their respective Coaches, some of your favorite singers like Dan + Shay, Kelly Clarkson, and Sting also took the stage.   Season 26 has been a rollercoaster, with two new Coaches, Michael Bublé and Snoop Dogg, entering the fold.   "My strategy was to look, listen and learn," Snoop Dogg said about his first day of Blind Auditions. "First of all, I'm glad they didn't make me go first [during Blinds]. They made me go, like, second or third, so I was able to watch the other Coaches and see some of the things that they did. And then once I understood that, I could add some Snoop-ism to the situation, as far as my conversation and my lingo, to the Artist to try to get them to come home." Bublé said about the Blind Auditions experience, "Honestly, it's not what I'm best at. It's hard to advocate for yourself in that way. And when I did, I tried to do it with humor, to be self-deprecating and to hope that you could break down barriers that way. It would have been harder for me, I think in other seasons where there was a different energy, like more of an edge of Coaches kind of fighting each other. But I was trying to be genuine, to tell people that I might be able to help them, and use humor, again, just to break down those walls. Jose grew up immersed in the vibrant culture of Puerto Rico, surrounded by beautiful music. He always dreamt of becoming a pop musician in the mainland U.S. Jose's aunt, Wally Waleska, played a pivotal role in his musical journey. Not related by blood but bound by deep familial ties, Wally introduced Jose to music and supported his dream to perform. One of Jose's most vivid memories was watching Lady Gaga perform "Just Dance" on Waleska's TV when he was 5. Lady Gaga became Jose's icon, and he knew he wanted to pursue a life of music and performance. After the death of his great-grandmother in 2021, Jose struggled with his mental health. His great-grandmother was a pillar of his family and taught him about unity and selflessness. Later, Jose's therapist provided tools to manage his mental health, which eventually led him back to music. Now, Jose strives to be the pop star he's always dreamt of becoming by conquering 'The Voice' stage.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-like-it-s-live--4113802/support.

Jake has been raising kids alongside his wife, Ashleigh, since he was 19. He met Ashleigh when he was just 18, and it was love at first sight after a mutual friend introduced them. Within a year, they were married and a month after the wedding, they learned they were expecting a baby boy. By the time Jake was 24, he was already a father of four. Working full-time as a worship leader to support his family, it's a miracle Jake found time to work on his craft. Music has been a significant part of his life since childhood. Jake's dad introduced him to Elvis when he was 6, and he soon fell in love with country music. Growing up, Jake often performed at talent shows with the guitar his dad gave him when he was 9. Currently, Jake gigs every weekend at bars and restaurants across Oklahoma. He schedules his performances in the evenings after his kids go to sleep, and, when possible, the whole family comes to watch him do what he loves.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-like-it-s-live--4113802/support.

It is a privilege to welcome singer-songwriter Kelsie Watts to The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast.  Born into a musical family, the Lubbock, Texas native developed her powerful vocals and artistry as a child. Her two musically talented parents encouraged Kelsie to pursue her craft after hearing her sing for the first time at two years old. Growing up performing in church and as the lead in her school plays, Kelsie went on to study opera, vocal performance, and commercial music at Belmont University. In Nashville, Kelsie began to hone her craft by songwriting and creating her own music that would soon launch her career.   Kelsie began writing and releasing music independently, which caught the eye of industry professionals and her peers. In 2020, the emerging artist was asked to be the featured vocalist on AJ McLean's single, "Hurts to Love You, " released under McLean's ATCK venture.   Following the single release, Kelsie auditioned for NBC's The Voice: Season 19. She wowed the judges and viewers with her version of Kelly Clarkson's "I Dare You," securing her a place on Team Kelly. The performance didn't take long to go viral across social media, and it has since gained millions of views.  On the heels of her run as a member of Team Kelly, Kelsie focused on her career as an independent pop artist. Her single "Live Out Loud" was recorded by multi-platinum and GRAMMY Nominated producer NicoTheOwl.  The track was the theme song for the Tokyo Sky Tree Global Campaign, Tree of Hope W1sh Ribbon Project. Legendary photographer and director Leslie Kee directed the official video for "Live Out Loud. The video streamed on loop 24/7 from Tokyo's Tokyo Sky Tree and was featured during the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.  In 2021, Kelsie Watts unveiled the powerful "Look What You Missed," an upbeat female empowerment track co-written with Casey Cook. Shortly after, she released "I Can't Say Goodbye," an anthemic ballad for anyone who has gone through a painful loss. Kelsie penned the song about the grief of losing her brother suddenly due to issues with his mental health in the hopes of helping others who have gone through similar anguish.   No stranger to going viral, Kelsie has now accumulated over 100 million views across social platforms, including TikTok and Instagram, with her cover videos of iconic pop music, which she films from her home in Nashville. Her videos have caught the eye of ABC's Nightline, which recently featured her in an episode highlighting her videos and musical talent. On this episode of The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Kelsie Watts spoke about her journey on The Voice and the stories behind some of her top songs, including "After Midnight," "I Can't Say Goodbye," and a live version of "I Dare You."Let's connect on social media! He ultimately chose to join Team Reba, where he and teammate Alyssa Crosby performed a rousing duet of Tina Turner's "We Don't Need Another Hero (Thunderdome)" during the Battle Round. In the Knockout round, he had all the coaches on their feet during a showstopping performance of Toni Braxton's "Unbreak My Heart." During both rounds, Reba chose HaVon to move on while his teammates were quickly stolen by other coaches. During the Playoffs, HaVon gave the audience chills with an emotional rendition of David Guetta and Sia's "Titanium," securing a spot in the Top 12. In the first live show, he performed "I'll Make Love to You" by Boyz II Men, wowing with his technical ability. During the semifinals, HaVon joined Madison Curbelo and Serenity Arce for a haunting trio performance of "Fix You" by Coldplay and then stepped outside his comfort zone with his version of Beyoncé's massive hit "Irreplaceable." On Monday night's telecast, HaVon continued to impress the coaches and viewers alike with an up-tempo live performance of "Last Dance" by Donna Summer as well as a down-tempo performance of "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston. Before being crowned the winner at the conclusion of tonight's finale, HaVon was joined on stage by coach Reba McEntire for a soulful duet of "On My Own," by Patti LaBelle and Michael McDonald. Following her first win, coach Reba McEntire will return to "The Voice" Season 26 as the reigning champ, alongside new coaches Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé and returning coach Gwen Stefani. HaVon's presence on the show's social media platforms this season garnered immense popularity. His performances accumulated 11.6 million views across "The Voice" pages on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube. Growing up in Selma, HaVon was surrounded by gospel singers. Asher's mom, whom he likes to call his singing sergeant, really pushed him to sing at a young age. His first major performance came in 2015 when President Obama came to Selma for a speech commemorating the 50th anniversary of the 1965 march from Selma to Montgomery in honor of African-American civil rights. Asher auditioned for a spot in the choir that was set to perform John Legend and Common's song "Glory." The choir director was so blown away that he chose Asher to lead the choir that day, performing in front of 200,000 people. "The Voice" is the most-watched alternative series for the 2023-24 season (L7). "The Voice" is a presentation of MGM Television, Warner Bros. Full-Time Dynamic Musician From Virginia Who Earned Four-Chair Turn Will Perform at this weekend's Bills vs. Chargers Game, Streaming Exclusively on Peacock Coach Niall Horan Goes Undefeated and Takes “Voice” Crown for Second Time UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – December 19, 2023 – Huntley, a 33-year-old soulful rock artist from Fredericksburg, Va., was named champion of “The Voice” Season 24 tonight. Huntley faced tough competition from the other finalists this season, including teammate Mara Justine from Team Niall, Lila Forde from Team Legend, and Ruby Leigh and Jacquie Roar from Team Reba. All five Season 24 finalists earned a four-chair turn during their blind auditions. In his blind audition, Huntley, known for his unique raspy voice, earned four chair turns from the coaches with his powerful performance of the Black Crowes' “She Talks to Angels,” which had coaches fighting for him. He ultimately chose to join Team Niall, where he and teammate Brailey Lenderman performed a duet of Hootie & the Blowfish's “Hold My Hand” during the battle rounds. For the ultra-competitive three-way knockout round, he did a showstopping performance of Bon Jovi's “Wanted Dead or Alive.” During the playoffs, Huntley performed an emotional rendition of David Kushner's “Daylight” to honor his daughter, which secured him a spot in the Top 12. In the first live show, he performed “With a Little Help From My Friends” by the Beatles, which earned him a spot in the semifinals. The following week, Huntley joined Lila Ford and Mac Royals for a haunting trio performance of “exile” by Taylor Swift featuring Bon Iver, and then wowed with the crowd-pleaser “Way Down We Go” by KALEO. On Monday night's telecast, Huntley continued to impress the coaches and viewers alike with an up-tempo live performance of “Higher” by Creed as well as a down-tempo performance of “Another Love” by Tom Odell. Before being crowned the winner during tonight's finale, Huntley was joined on stage by coach Niall Horan for a heartfelt duet of “Knockin' on Heaven's Door” by Bob Dylan. Huntley's presence on the show's social media platforms this season garnered immense popularity, with his performances accumulating 46.6 million views across "The Voice" pages on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube. Huntley was singing and impersonating Elvis by the time he was 4, and at 14 wanted to pursue music. After two years of college, he moved to Nashville but didn't find the success he had imagined. After falling out of love with the music grind, he moved back home to Virginia. In 2016, Huntley welcomed his daughter and five years later welcomed his son. He never had a relationship with his own father, which motivated him to be very involved in his kids' lives. Since 2022, Huntley has found success as a booking agent for musicians. Now that music is coming back into his life, he's been a full-time musician gigging five times a week all over Virginia. Fresh off his win, Huntley will perform at this weekend's Buffalo Bills vs. Los Angeles Chargers game, streaming exclusively on Peacock with coverage beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET. He will kick off the game with a rendition of the National Anthem and put on a special halftime performance. “The Voice” is the most-watched unscripted entertainment broadcast series this season and is averaging 8.4 million viewers across all platforms (L7). “The Voice” is a presentation of MGM Television, Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in association with Warner Horizon, and ITV Studios The Voice USA, Inc. The series was created by John de Mol, who serves as an executive producer along with Mark Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Amanda Zucker, Kyra Thompson and Adam H. Sher.
