Christian Empty Nest Moms: Find your purpose, rediscover your identity and grow more joy with God at the center.

Estrangement makes you notice things you may not have paid attention to before. Like the young woman you pass on the sidewalk, talking to a lady who appears to be her mother. They look happy in each other's company. You read the Facebook post in the estrangement support group about the mother who reconciled with her formerly estranged son, and you notice the emotion coming through the words on the screen. You're happy for these people. And yet, somewhere in your heart of hearts you wish so much that it would happen for you, and a part of you fears it never will. You've been praying for some time, and it feels as if there's no forward movement toward reconciling with your estranged son or daughter. Time slips through your fingers, and sometimes you feel panic at the thought of what you're missing out on. In This episode of The Estranged Mom Coach™ I'll tell you why God may be taking you on the long road instead of the fast track to reconciliation. He is for you. He is working. Even when you don't see it. Let's talk about it.  . Next Steps: 1) Apply for your FREE consultation to talk to Jenny 1:1. Estrangement Coaching Client Reviews… ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Jenny's teachings have produced results reconnecting me with my estranged daughter I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible support and guidance received in the most tragic time of my life from coach Jenny Good. Her faith, compassion, understanding, dedication and display of radical love has truly been life-changing for me. I was so overwhelmed with feelings of confusion, guilt, and sadness. I felt lost and didn't know how to navigate through the emotional turmoil I was experiencing. However, from the very first call, Jenny created a safe and non-judgmental space for me to share my details. Her ability to listen attentively and empathize while helping me understand a different way of thinking is truly remarkable. She understood my feelings and offered tools each session in ways I have not experienced even from therapy. I am forever thankful for the medicine she has poured into me to be the very best version of myself! This has rippled into all areas of life for me. Jenny's teachings have produced results reconnecting me with my estranged daughter! Thank you for being the vessel of unwavering faith & love that so many of us could benefit from, estranged or not. A true Godsend.  - Melinda Wyman . ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I am living a truly happy life, and I reconciled with my son  Having a coach and mentor who is rooted in Christ is very important. I've experienced so much inner healing with Jenny as my Coach. I am living a truly happy life, and I reconciled with my son! I feel empowered to continue stepping into my full power as a mother and to live a life where my children matter, but they don't determine my worth. I am me again. - Carol Adams

LESSON 17I See No Neutral Things. This idea is another step in the direction of identifying cause and effect as it really operates in the world. You see no neutral things because you have no neutral thoughts. It is always the thought that comes first, despite the temptation to believe that it is the other way around. This is not the way the world thinks, but you must learn that it is the way you think. If it were not so, perception would have no cause, and would itself be the cause of reality. In view of its highly variable nature, this is hardly likely. In applying today's idea, say to yourself, with eyes open:I see no neutral things because I have no neutral thoughts. Then look about you, resting your glance on each thing you note long enough to say:I do not see a neutral _______,because my thoughts about _______ are not neutral. For example, you might say:I do not see a neutral wall, because my thoughtsabout walls are not neutral.I do not see a neutral body, because my thoughtsabout bodies are not neutral. As usual, it is essential to make no distinctions between what you believe to be animate or inanimate; pleasant or unpleasant. Regardless of what you may believe, you do not see anything that is really alive or really joyous. That is because you are unaware as yet of any thought that is really true, and therefore really happy.Three or four specific practice periods are recommended, and no less than three are required for maximum benefit, even if you experience resistance. However, if you do, the length of the practice period may be reduced to less than the minute or so that is otherwise recommended.- Jesus Christ in ACIM

In a world that's unraveling from climate disruption and gaping inequality, another climate crisis confronts us: the climate of hate and othering. Award-winning scholar and educator Valarie Kaur says to overcome racism and nationalism, we must not succumb to rage and grief. As someone who has spent much of her life challenging horrific injustices and intolerance, Kaur learned the lesson that historical nonviolent change-makers understood: social movements must be grounded in an ethic of love. She founded the Revolutionary Love Project, and has emerged as one of the most important voices of the American Sikh community, and a highly influential faith leader on the national stage. Valarie Kaur, born into a family of Sikh farmers who settled in California in 1913, is a seasoned civil rights activist, award-winning filmmaker, lawyer, faith leader, and founder of the Revolutionary Love Project, which seeks to champion love as a public ethic and wellspring for social action. “Wonder is the root of love, the lack of wonder is the root of violence.”  Is there a way to create boundaries with someone who wishes to cause harm? Can you love them and hold them accountable? Do you have to fight for a just world for everyone? Valarie Kaur is no stranger to violence. As a Sikh, as a woman, as a person of color, violence has shaped both her activism and her deep sense of community care. Her Revolutionary Love Project is the blueprint for organizers, activists, and really - anyone in love with the world and what it could be.    This week, the activist, and best-selling author of See No Stranger joins me to talk about love, action, and the power of wonder in the face of impossible things.    We cover activism, wonder, horror, grief, acts of violence, acts of justice, parenting in an age of rampant school violence, healing family wounds, building true community - and why fighting for love and pleasure is always going to be more sustainable than fighting against hate.  “I spent the last 20 years organizing my life around hate and I want to spend the next 20 years organizing around love. The pain of the world is the pain of the world, regardless.” - Valarie Kaur   * One brief content note, Valarie's neighborhood had some construction going on, so there's more background noise in this episode than usual. Listen for the goodness, though - it's all around you.    In this episode we cover: How do you continue to work on behalf of EVERYONE for a more just and beautiful world, when some of those people cause great harm?  Getting outside of unbearable pain so you can survive Do you have to suffer in order to be of service? Being an activist for the long haul “Squad care” and what it means for activists and anyone alive in the world What do you want future generations to inherit from your time here?    Want grief support with Megan? Lesson of the Day 17 - I see no neutral things with Clare

Voice From Heaven

Play Episode Listen Later Jan 17, 2023 47:45

I see no neutral things. In applying today's idea, say to yourself, with eyes open: I see no neutral things because I have no neutral thoughts. Then look about you, resting your glance on each thing you note long enough to say: I do not see a neutral ----, because my thoughts about ---- are not neutral. For example, you might say: I do not see a neutral wall, because my thoughts about walls are not neutral. I do not see a neutral body, because my thoughts about bodies are not neutral. As usual, it is essential to make no distinctions between what you believe to be animate or inanimate; pleasant or unpleasant. Regardless of what you may believe, you do not see anything that is really alive or really joyous. That is because you are unaware as yet of any thought that is really true, and therefore really happy. Three or four specific practice periods are recommended, and no less than three are required for maximum benefit, even if you experience resistance. However, if you do, the length of the practice period may be reduced to less than the minute or so that is otherwise recommended.- Jesus Christ in A Course in Miracles, Lesson 17
