Are you using or considering using AI note takers in your therapy sessions and wondering how to introduce it ethically, confidently, and without damaging the therapeutic relationship? In today's episode, I sit down with returning guest Dr. Elisabeth Morray, VP of Clinical at Alma, to unpack what it actually looks like to have real conversations with clients about AI in the therapy room. We talk about informed consent, client autonomy, fear-based reactions to AI, and how to frame this technology as an optional, collaborative experiment rather than a forced change. Dr. Morray shares her experience as an early adopter and explains how therapists can center presence, trust, and relationship-building while still benefiting from time-saving tools. We also dive into the practical and ethical side of implementation, including when to bring it up, what language to use, how to respond when clients opt out, and why separate consent processes may be safer than burying AI language in long intake forms. You'll hear powerful insights on how AI-generated notes can sometimes become therapeutic tools themselves by supporting reflection and continuity between sessions. If you have been feeling stuck between wanting efficiency and protecting the integrity of your clinical work, this conversation will give you a grounded, thoughtful framework to move forward. Topics Covered in this Episode: 2:45 - Why informed consent with AI is different than anything we have done before 6:10 - The mindset shift that makes client conversations smoother 9:30 - What to say when clients feel hesitant or fearful about AI 13:20 - A surprising way AI notes can support the therapeutic process 16:40 - When not to bring AI back up after a client opts out 19:15 - The consent mistake that could create ethical gray areas 22:05 - What widespread AI adoption could mean for therapy in the next year Need more clients to help fill your private pay practice in 2026? Send a question for 'Ask Megan'Hey, Podcasters! Have you ever tried to recommend a podcast to a friend and realized how many steps it took just to get them to the right episode? For a long time, trying to convert a listener felt like a lot of work. And as creators, we felt that friction too, even if we couldn't always put our finger on it!But this year, podcast apps started acting less like players and more like places built for listeners. And we're loving it! Finding new shows feels easier, sharing a great episode feels more natural, and listening itself feels smoother with fewer interruptions. Those changes matter more than they might seem! When listening is easier, people finish more episodes, come back more often, and are more likely to recommend what they love. In this Buzzcast episode, we zoom out and talk about why 2025 ended up being such a strong year for podcast listeners. From what app updates actually changed behavior to why this moment feels like a turning point for podcasting, this episode is worth your time! Listen to BuzzcastStarting a Podcast in 2026? Send us a textIn this quick episode, we take a step back to appreciate how much podcast listening apps have improved and why that's such a win for listeners and independent podcasters. Updates from Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Pocket Casts, Overcast, and Fountain, had three big themes:Discoverability: making it easier to find new shows you'll actually want to listen toInteractivity: likes, comments, and recommendations that help great episodes spreadQuality of life: smarter playback controls, enhanced dialogue, chapters, and fewer accidental tapsIt feels like podcast apps are finally competing on listening experience and we think that's a really good sign for the future of podcasting!Don't forget to send in your tips as we start planning an episode on how to start a podcast in 2026. Rigged Game - Blackjack, Card Counting, Slots, Casinos, poker and Advantage Play Podcast
This episode supposed to be focused on my arrival in Oklahoma and some of my play there. But the fact is that I had multiple flight delays which caused me to have to stay overnight in chicago. Not wanting to waste time and not wanting to waste money on a hotel room, I opted to rent a car. I then drove that car to Milwaukee Wisconsin to gamble. Afterward, I travel back to Chicago and hit a couple casinos before finally flying to Oklahoma. This episode is an example of making something out of a bad situation and triumphing. This episodes includes results from three casinos in the Chicago and Milwaukee area as well as a large number of casinos in Oklahoma. Overall about 46 hours of travel and gambling without sleep.

"Renting a Boat on the Canal du Midi with Bobbi Heath" is your ultimate guide to one of France's most magical slow travel experiences. In this episode, host Annie Sargent chats with Bobbi Heath, a passionate traveler and boating enthusiast, about her week-long adventure renting a boat on the Canal du Midi. If you've ever dreamed of cruising through France's picturesque countryside, sipping wine, and exploring historic villages—all without needing a boating license—this conversation is packed with practical tips and inspiration. Listen to this episode ad-free Bobbi and her friends started their journey in Homps, a quiet town near Carcassonne, where they rented a boat from Le Boat. No experience? No problem. The Canal du Midi is beginner-friendly, with easy-to-navigate locks and a relaxed pace. Bobbi shares how they mastered the locks (hint: going downstream first makes it easier!), where to find the best wine (hello, Minervois region!), and why this trip is perfect for groups of four. She even reveals her favorite stops, like Le Somail, home to a legendary bookstore (Le Trouve-Tout du Livre), and Carcassonne, where medieval charm meets modern dining at La Table d'Alais. You'll learn how to plan your route, what to pack (duffel bags, not suitcases!), and why early mornings at the locks mean shorter waits. Bobbi also dives into the joys of slow travel—biking along the towpath, shopping at local markets, and enjoying picnics on deck with fresh baguettes and cheese. The Canal du Midi isn't just a waterway; it's a journey through history, wine country, and some of France's most authentic villages. From practical advice on renting boats (expect to pay around $1,200/week) to insider tips on avoiding tourist crowds, this episode covers it all. Whether you're a wine lover, history buff, or just craving a unique getaway, Bobbi's stories will have you ready to book your own canal adventure. If you love France but want to escape the usual tourist spots, this boat trip is the perfect way to see the country at your own pace.
