On this episode of the Dangerous Creatives Podcast, Shannon Griffin joins us to talk all about money mindset. Shannon is a photographer based in South Florida who now specializes in family and boudoir photography, after transitioning out of weddings in 2020. Money mindset is such an important aspect as a creative business owner that is sometimes overlooked. It is crucial when we want to raise our prices and reach a place of abundance. Shannon and Kristin discuss their own personal journeys with money mindset and how that mindset has shifted as they have grown and changed as individuals over the years going through different seasons of life. Shannon Griffin is an intimate portrait photographer who's process is S L O W, highly interactive and contemplative. Her clients become their own muse; and Shannon creates experiences where women feel beautiful, important, powerful and most importantly, valued. What comes up when you hear the word S L O W? Is there resistance? Frustration? Restriction? I want to explore this concept with the framework of the gift of slow... We experience these 'speed bumps' along our journey that challenge our experience and enjoyment of life, but instead of staying in a 'victim' mindset of scarcity, let's recognize that these experiences are inviting us to our highest. It just may not look like how we thought it would. Slow manifesting realizes that we have visions of what we want to create and put into the world, while noticing the egoic expectation for all of the things to happen NOW. But we have the amazing opportunity to PLAY in this world. And when we recognize that it doesn't have to look like anyone else's life, we let go of the 'neediness' to manifest in this moment. When we give ourselves space to simply BE, magical things happen in their own time... Let's move into the week with the intention to manifest from a willingness to be slow, and quiet our minds to simply BE. What is your vision? What is your PASSION? The Ubuntu CommUNITY is something I feel called to support and bring into the world for women to BE in, to KNOW in and feel the support of a community that is already calling to them. The better option, however, is to take small wins, over and over. So while that may seem like the S-L-O-W approach, in the long run, it's actually a faster way to increase your wealth. You reduce the risk of losing large sums of money, while having a consistent income that will continue to grow over time. The enemy Emotions are the enemy of the trader. When emotions go up, intelligence goes down. Go ahead and tell me I'm wrong. At Destiny Creation, we try to teach people how to get rid of or control their emotions, so they can trade from a quiet and still place. This happens by having a trusted system in place and well-defined processes to follow. No system is perfect, but if you follow our approach and the rules, we can teach you how to consistently make 2-4% each month.Crypto…Bitcoin?Mark believes that cryptocurrency, specifically Bitcoin, is the future. It may not replace the dollar, but it's probably good to have as part of your asset allocation, as it is probably the only truly decentralized crypto. When this writer is confronted with a “life challenge” in this case rising fuel prices, I begin by examining my behavior and finding ways to use less fuel.First on my Hit Parade of Fuel Saving is S L O W D O W N which always works. When I travel on the interstate I typically set my cruise control to 62 MPH & maintain 2250 RPM on my V6 Mercedes. Depending on the terrain I can get between 19 to 22 miles per gallon. This week, I share some fun insights about breaking the boundaries of the mind and expanding my beliefs about what I'm capable of and how impactful I can be while also honoring my energy flow and alignment. I also reflect on the power of S L O W movements and how my Inner Voice told me what to eat for the next couple of weeks. Finally, I introduce you to a practice for you to start turning INWARD for relief and answers instead of outward. In the simple, three step process, you'll give yourself the gift of listening to your inner knowing. To me, the most important resource that each of us has is access to our inner voice, the well of wisdom and truth within. The more we slow down (as I've been guided to do), the more we can hear, and the more we can hear, the more opportunities we have to listen and act upon this infinite wisdom. Have you ever heard of that creepy sailor boy doll which is supposed to be possessed and has been supposedly responsible for a few deaths? Well, this movie isn't about that actual doll. In "Robert", we have a doll that looks strangely like Willem Dafoe but if he had been stung about the face by a swarm of bees. This slow-paced (and we ain't kiddin'... it's S-L-O-W) movie takes literally 42 minutes to go anywhere at all toward a horror film, and it tries hard to be just a family drama with a weird little Willem Defoe doll that goes all murdery.

In this week's episode we're talking about a very important subject, and that is aging! Telomeres have a direct impact on not only our appearance as we age but our overall longevity. Join us as we specifically discuss telomeres; understanding what telomeres are, understanding some of the different things we can do to keep them lengthened and healthy. Understanding the Importance of Telomeres Understanding the impact telomeres have on our aging will help us understand the positive health benefits of mushrooms. The telomere is the “tail” of each chromosome in your cells. These tiny little segments of your DNA are critical for healthy, youthful living. Think of them as the plastic tips of shoelaces that keep them together. Telomeres work the same way. They prevent chromosomes from fraying or tangling with one another. When that happens, it can cause genetic information to get all mixed up or destroyed leading to health problems. Worst of all, damage to your telomeres can speed up your aging. One study of 60 to 75-year-old people showed those with short Telomeres had a 300% higher death rate from heart-related problems. They also had an 800% higher death rate from infectious diseases. Why? Because each time a cell divides, its telomeres become shorter. As our telomeres wear down, so do we. You see, there's a big difference between your biological age and your chronological age. And it's your biological age that matters most. Why? It all comes back to those pesky telomeres. Today's episode offers a bit of perspective and a lot of insight for anyone seeking long-term success. Success in business is spelled M-O-R-E: better results, faster growth, more revenue, greater efficiency. Do more. Make more. Achieve more. And do it now. Eventually, ambition turns to stress, then to frenzy, then to emptiness as once-ambitious workers endlessly trudge the hamster wheel chasing the next promotion. While top-level performance is the holy grail of business at all levels, there is another, much better way to achieve it: slow down. Yes, you read that right--S-L-O-W. This is your permission to jump off of the hamster wheel. Slowing down is not a luxury, it is a necessity. A frenetic brain simply doesn't perform at optimal levels. By maintaining a snail's pace, you actually achieve better results--at rocket speed--because you're firing on all cylinders. You'll think of new things, approach old problems from new perspectives, and breathe a breath of fresh air into everything you do. This book shows you how to achieve this state of steady, sustainable fire, and how to get further by crawling than you ever did while attempting to fly. Learn how slowing down can lead to better, faster results Achieve optimal performance thought patterns Enhance your creativity and effectiveness Build energy, revenue, and good health in a self-sustaining way You know you're capable of more, but the stress is eating away at your body, your brain, and your soul. Relax, take a deep breath, and buckle down. Clear your mind, and then put it to work. Stop juggling and start doing. Master Your Mind shows you how to supercharge your trajectory by taking it S-L-O-W. More about Roger here: https://freedompersonaldevelopment.com

In this week’s episode we’re talking about a very important subject, and that is aging! Telomeres have a direct impact on not only our appearance as we age but our overall longevity. Join us as we specifically discuss telomeres; understanding what telomeres are, understanding some of the different things we can do to keep them lengthened and healthy. * * * Understanding the Importance of Telomeres Understanding the impact telomeres have on our aging will help us understand the positive health benefits of mushrooms. The telomere is the "tail" of each chromosome in your cells. Why? Because each time a cell divides, its telomeres become shorter As our telomeres wear down, so do we. That’s when we develop problems with hearing or age-related memory loss — things most of us consider natural parts of aging. Can We Slow This Down? Yes! As it turns out, age really is just a number. You see, there’s a big difference between your biological age and your chronological age. And it’s your biological age that matters most. Why? It all comes back to those pesky telomeres. They’re a primary reason some people age at different speeds than others. Or why some people always seem to be “coming down with something” and others have an impenetrable immune system. While we can’t stop our telomeres from getting shorter, we can S-L-O-W the process down if we’re smart about it... 3 Ways to Increase the Length of Your Telomeres Boost Micro-Nutrients - Vitamins A, D, C, and E have all been proven to slow down your telomeres. And data from one study (586 women, ages 35-74) showed those with a strong nutrient base had 5.1% longer telomeres than those who did not. Reduce Inflammation - European study showed that those who had low levels of inflammation were able to maintain their telomeres at a ‘youthful’ level. Their telomeres matched those of a person who was 60 even when they were 80 years old Anti-Oxidants - Studies show that your telomeres are extremely sensitive to oxidative stress. Not only that, but too much oxidation in your cells could hurt how your telomeres are meant to function. That’s why keeping powerful antioxidants like Nutritional Mushrooms in your diet is so crucial for healthy aging. Antioxidants combat the free radicals that may cause cell damage or cell death. Gene Expression/Epigenetics Epigenetics is the study of how we can affect our gene expression based off of lifestyle choices, whether that’s food, how much sun exposure you’re getting, the kind of toxins that are in your life, the working out that you do.
