Welcome back to this week's exciting episode of Diving in Deep! Sara sits down with the talented grandchildren of country music legends Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn, Tre Twitty and Tayla Lynn! In this heartfelt conversation, they share their journey as a tribute band honoring their grandparents, revealing incredible behind-the-scenes stories, and personal anecdotes that highlight the legacy of Conway and Loretta. From their childhood memories to the challenges of touring, this episode is packed with laughter, nostalgia, and a deep appreciation for family and music.Discover how Tre and Tayla blend their own musical influences with the iconic sounds of their grandparents, hear about their new album, and even some of their hot takes on pop culture.Don't miss this chance to connect with the next generation of country music stars! If you enjoy the episode, please like, subscribe, and share your thoughts in the comments below.Listen to Unbroke: (https://ffm.to/seunbroke).About Tayla Lynn & Tre Twitty:There's a moment right at the very beginning of any Twitty & Lynn show that affords country music fans the chance to look back in time. Just after the band has played the signature intro to “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man,” Tre Twitty and Tayla Lynn shoot each other a glance that summons the electrifying chemistry of their grandparents: Tre is the grandson of Conway Twitty, Tayla is the granddaughter of Loretta Lynn.Audiences can't believe their eyes. From that moment, for the next 90 minutes, they're in the presence of living country music history. “Fans have told Tayla and me that when they see us onstage singing, talking, and just looking at each other, they think, ‘Wow, there must be something genetic in those two families,'” Tre says. “It validates the experience of the concert for them. We're telling our grandparents' story through our story.”But Twitty & Lynn — and their internationally popular show “A Salute to Conway & Loretta” — aren't impersonators. Tre doesn't groom Seventies sideburns and perm his hair; Tayla doesn't mimic her grandmother's mannerisms. Rather, they are onstage celebrating country music, the lost art of duet singing, and the two beloved icons they refer to as “Poppy” and “Memaw.”LET'S BE SOCIAL:Follow Tayla Lynn & Tre Twitty:Instagram - (@twittyandlynn)Facebook - (@Twitty and Lynn)Instagram - (@taylalynnfinger)Facebook - (@Tayla Lynn)X - (@taylalynnheller)TikTok - (@taylalynnofficial)Instagram - (@tretwitty)Facebook - (@Tre Twitty)Follow Diving in Deep Podcast:Instagram –(@divingindeeppod)TikTok – (@divingindeeppod)X – (@divingindeeppod)Facebook – (@divingindeeppod)Follow Sara Evans:Instagram – (@saraevansmusic)TikTok – (@saraevansmusic)Twitter – (@saraevansmusic)Facebook – (@saraevansmusic)Produced and Edited by: The Cast Collective (Nashville, TN)YouTube – (@TheCastCollective)Instagram – (@TheCastCollective)Twitter – (@TheCastCollective)Directed by: Erin DuganEdited By: Sean Dugan, Corey Williams, & Michaela Dolphhttps://www.thecastcollective.comSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

On this week's episode of Rooted Recovery Stories, Patrick is joined by the lovely, talented and hilarious Tayla Lynn, granddaughter of country music legend and icon, Loretta Lynn. All this and more on this episode! We would love to hear from you! Email us at ROOTED@PROMISES.COM About Tayla Lynn! There is a bright eyed enthusiasm to singer/songwriter Tayla Lynn that cannot be denied. There is a warmth in her voice, truth behind her piercing blue eyes, and genuine affection when she speaks of her history, her family and friends, and most of all her art. Born into one of Nashville's greatest musical dynasties, Lynn's passion for singing and performing was sparked from an early age watching Loretta Lynn and Ernest Ray Lynn. She was four the first time Loretta Lynn took her on stage. Signed to Skyville Records in 2007, Lynn's first major musical project was the trio Stealing Angels with Caroline Cutbirth and Jennifer Wayne. Her first solo project, The Ranch, released in 2016, was the culmination of a move across the country, addiction, recovery, a lot of hard work, and a dash of her grandmother, Loretta Lynn. She writes and sings her truth about love, healing, motherhood, and the coal dust that runs through her Kentucky veins. Lynn's album on Heart of Texas Records, 'Tayla Lynn sings Loretta Lynn', is available everywhere! A self-taught guitarist and songwriter, Lynn shook up Nashville by writing her own songs which tackled boundary-pushing topics drawn from her own life experiences as a wife and mother. “Coal Miner's Daughter,” “Fist City” and “Don't Come Home A' Drinkin' (With Lovin' on Your Mind)” are just three of 16 country No. 1 singles. Inducted into more music Halls of Fame than any female recording artist, including The Country Music Hall of Fame & Songwriters Hall of Fame, and was the first woman to be named the Country Music Association's Entertainer of the Year in 1972. Lynn received Kennedy Center Honors, a Presidential Medal of Freedom and was named recipient of Billboard's inaugural Women in Music “Legend” Award. With 18 nominations, Lynn has won four Grammy Awards, including a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010. She has sold more than 45 million records worldwide. Still Woman Enough, Lynn's 50th studio album (excluding her 10 collaborations with Conway Twitty) became her latest. In it she celebrates women in country music, including a cover of “Keep On The Sunny Side” and a new interpretation of her very first single, “I'm A Honky Tonk Girl". #lgbtqia #trauma #recovery #podcast #mentalhealth #lifestyle #inspiration #purpose #therapy #selfcare #healing Keywords: trauma, recovery, podcast, mental health, rooted recovery stories, mental health podcast, trauma podcast, anxiety podcast, recovery podcast, coping mechanisms, nashville, domestic violence, trauma, podcast, interview, country music,

I never felt like God wasn't there. I always knew any time that I wasn't feeling God, it was because that was of my own doing. God is everything to me. Jesus is everything to me. You know, it's always been that way.” - Tayla Lynn “If you believe like we do that God is sovereign, then [our son] River had three years on this Earth and all of our days are numbered and we have to surrender to that and accept that. Our guests this week speak to living a life where they're seeing things they never thought possible come to fruition, and how faith factored into those events. From singing in small town church choirs to receiving the Golden Buzzer on America's Got Talent, country trio band Chapel Hart never thought they'd be where they are today, playing music for audiences all over the country and sharing their faith. Andy Partington, author of Hope in Addiction, grew up in a rehabilitation center where his parents worked. He discovered from a young age that recovery from addiction is possible no matter your story, and found his passion for helping addicts see there is hope in Christ for a better future. All of those things still happen while you're in your glory days, and our faith has been instrumental in being on this journey.” - Danica Hart “Even in the things that you don't understand, trust that He's got your path laid out, that the path is there ,and everything you need for your journey is already inside of you, but you've just got to trust that He'll lead you there.” - Danica Hart “Really, addiction is this experience of losing the power to choose, and recovery is discovering again that that power to choose addiction lives on a continuum.” - Andy Partington “We live in an age of addiction. Let's talk about addiction. Let's think about addiction, and let's work together, really, to create communities where we have the depth of relationship with one another and the depth of relationship with God, where actually we have a recovery promoting, and an addiction-preventing environment for one another.” - Andy Partington “When we're in addiction, it's not about pleasure…it's about the avoidance of pain. It's about getting away from something, not moving towards something else, and I think that helps us as we walk alongside those who are in addiction. It helps us to understand what's making them take, what's keeping them in the addiction.” - Andy Partington “We're not made to be alone. We're made to be together. At a societal level, if we want to ask ourselves why we are seeing so much addiction, those are the kinds of things we need to think about.” - Andy Partington “A relationship with God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is absolutely transformative for our experience of life, as well as our eternal hope…whether you're in addiction or you're leaving addiction, God wants to hear from you. He wants to enjoy spending time with you.” - Andy Partington ________________________ Enjoy watching these additional videos from Jesus Calling YouTube channel! I hope you didn't miss out on this past weekend in Hurricane Mills at the lovely Loretta Lynn Ranch for the Tennessee Motorcycle Music Rvival. It was one for the books! Before the weekend got to hectic I had time to catch ups with Loretta Lynn's granddaughter Tayla. If you'd like to catch her on tour check out her and Twitty's dates here. Big thanks to everyone that came out and made this event possible! I look forward to even more new faces in 2024.Danger Dan's Talk ShopMCshopTsLowbrow CustomsMotrcyleSherpa Permalink
#868 - Tayla Lynn Tayla Lynn is a special guest on The Paul Leslie Hour! Are you here? If you're here, there's a few things I should say to you. First of all, it'd be welcome to The Paul Leslie Hour. What else can I tell you, my friend? Let's see, our special guest is a bright-eyed, energetic, talented, beautiful singer and songwriter? Yes, I'm referring to Tayla Lynn: The Coalminers Granddaughter. Many of you know that Tayla Lynn is the granddaughter of country music icon Loretta Lynn. And I suppose I should tell you that this interview was recorded in beautiful Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Oh, oh, oh and it was just minutes before Tayla took the stage with Tre Twitty. Tre is the grandson of Conway Twitty. See, they perform as “Twitty and Lynn.” Okay - so you should know that backstage means you've got to do the interview where you can and that may mean “on the fly,” but side note please subscribe to The Paul Leslie Hour on YouTube and maybe even like us on Facebook. It helps us in a lot of ways. Would you do that? Real quick, remember when we told you about Paul's new pup? Just wanted to update you all. She was at the vet the other day and weighed in at 33 pounds, up from 26 two months ago. A few of you asked so there ya go. Now it's time to start the show with Tayla Lynn. I think you'll like this one. The Paul Leslie Hour is a talk show dedicated to “Helping People Tell Their Stories.” Some of the most iconic people of all time drop in to chat. Frequent topics include Arts, Entertainment and Culture.
21 episodes, 9 guests, and too many cups of coffee to even count. As 2022 draws to a close, I thought a quick look back at the first two seasons of guests was in order. I had some great conversations and decided to pull some of my favorite clips for this year in review episode (for lack of a better description). If you listened to all of the guest episodes, I thank you. If you only listened to the solo episodes, here's a little taste of what you missed.I can't stress it enough but this show doesn't happen without interesting guests. And getting interesting guests to appear on a show with a small audience is a tall order. That being said, I wanna thank all of my guests for their time and their trust. And thank you for listening. Next week, Episode 023 is the last of the year and the perfect number episode to kick off the new year. It's almost as if I planned it!I'll be here. I hope you will too.Until then, be nice. On this episode, we remember country music icon Loretta Lynn. We revisit a 2019 interview with her granddaughter, Tayla, in which she talks about how her grandmother had an impact on her, as well as her musical legacy. We also talk with Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum Executive Director Jessica Blankenship, Hall of Fame disc jockey Billy Bowles and country music artist Brei Carter. We discuss the importance of fall soil sampling with SoilTestPro's Clay Choate. In our Meat Monitor segment, we learn how proposed federal funding increases for two important programs could bolster efforts to market red meat abroad. Jesse Allen and Global Commodity Analytics' Mike Zuzlulo discuss how the commodity markets reacted to OPEC Plus' decision to slash petroleum production, and Ray Bohacz talks about the importance of flushing a sprayer thoroughly after each use. The episode also includes a duet featuring Tayla Lynn and Loretta Lynn. In this episode, I talk about my guests, and why some solo episodes were the way they were. I answer a few listener questions and end with one of my favorite songs.14 weeks ago I was freaking out. We had been prepping for about a year and were about to go live with Episode 1. I had no idea what was going to happen. But the goal was simple. Make positive art and be in a different place at the end than I was at the beginning. As Rumi wrote, the path rarely appears until you start walking. We can always delay our transformation by telling ourselves things like I'm not ready, I don't have the right equipment, the right guests… But I believe ready is an illusion. You're never really ready. There will always be distractions and detours to test your commitment. But those tests aren't always about exposing your weakness, they can also expose strengths. Thank you for being here for Season 1. I hope you come back for Season 2 which begins on Wednesday, November 2. Please, if you like what you're hearing, leave a review at Apple Podcasts and get on the email list at themindunset.com for updates and news while we're ramping up to go for Season 2. Michelangelo famously said, "The sculpture is already complete within the marble block before I start my work. It is already there; I just have to chisel away the superfluous material." This quote creatively and non-judgmentally describes the process of removing unwanted traits, polishing gifts, and working raw materials to create something memorable. Like the artist, God is always shaping us until we eventually realize what emerges from that process reveals the beauty of who we are as God's creation. This week we talk to two people who understand this sometimes difficult and loving sculpting process. Tayla Lynn is the granddaughter of country music legend Loretta Lynn, and she understands the perils of chipping past substance addiction to find her true, beautiful self. Hannah Dasher tells of working through the pain of her parents' divorce to find her dream of becoming a country musician materialized on social media. Both stories highlight the fact that we are all in the process of becoming complete. You just feel that kind of guilt any time you're not being the best mom you can. I still have shame that I'm working on from that.” - Tayla Lynn “I never felt like God wasn't there. I always knew any time that I wasn't feeling God, it was because that was of my own doing. God is everything to me. Jesus is everything to me. It's always been that way.” - Tayla Lynn “It's so important to spend quality time with the Lord each day. It holds me accountable. Lord knows I need it, and it really makes me sensitive to opportunities that He's put in my path.” - Hannah Dasher “I'm not in this [music] career for me. I'm here by His design, and I'm a vessel for Him to further His Kingdom, not my own. Nashville's own Tayla Lynn is a singer/songwriter, actor, and mother. She joined me a few days after playing the Grand Ole Opry for the first time in celebration of her grandmother's 90th birthday. Her grandmother, or as Tayla lovingly refers to her, Meemaw, is none other than country music icon Ms. Loretta Lynn. "The end goal wasn't to be a country singer. It was to be a truth-teller."Tayla is unflinchingly honest and open about her battle with addiction and she remains an advocate for others who may be struggling today. She's hilariously funny and refreshingly candid about her writing process and the struggle to balance life in the limelight with being a mother and wife. In this debut episode of the Strong Coffee. Strong Women™ segment, Tayla talks about recovery, relapse, boob jobs, and appearing for the first time ever on that legendary stage. Hear Hunter Garrett talk with Tayla Lynn, granddaughter of Country singer/songwriter Loretta Lynn about her music, Christmas movie, and her life after addiction/alcoholism.
We had a great conversation with Tayla Lynn today on The Chris & Sandy Show. We talked about so many things from Faith, family, addictions, marriage, music to a whole lot more. Our goal with our show is to bring you the raw stories of these great rising artists in a way that you feel you know them. As you listen to the podcast, you will see with Tayla, what you see is what you get! She was very authentic on the show which we love. Be sure to check all her social media out too.
Tayla is my sister. We were in a band together, Stealing Angels, for about 7 years. We lived together, toured together, loved together, fought together, grew up together. Tayla has been such a great teacher in my life. She is the one who really showed me how to unapologetically be and love myself, because that’s what she does. She has recovered from drug addiction, abuse, trauma, divorce and so much more. We talk about it all openly here. We could feel the Holy Spirit in the room. Tayla also is the most ALIVE human I know. She feels and expresses life in every aspect of her being, she doesn’t hold back from singing, performing, speaking God’s word and being a ball of firecracker energy at all times. She’s one of a kind and I’m blessed to call her family. Learn more about your ad-choices at https://news.iheart.com/podcast-advertisers

Ty Herndon the award winning country singer talks about the 2019 Concert for Love & Acceptance at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, Tennessee on June 6th with Emmy Winner Charlotte Robinson host of OUTTAKE VOICES™. The 5th annual concert takes place during the legendary Country Music Association Festival and will be hosted by Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning artist Herndon and CMT’s Cody Alan. The concert features a coalition of artists and celebrities appearing and performing to accelerate acceptance for LGBTQ people. Herndon co-founded the concert with GLAAD the world's largest LGBTQ media advocacy organization in 2015 and will also perform along with Antigone Rising, Daughtry, Harper Grae, Tayla Lynn, Brody Ray, Brandon Stansell, Rita Wilson, Chely Wright, Tyler Rich, Lee Brice, Mickey Guyton and more. Anita Cochran is returning as a performer and musical director for the show. We talked to Ty about his inspiration for The Concert for Love & Acceptance and his spin on our LGBTQ issues. When asked as we approach the 50th Anniversary of Stonewall how he sees our LGBTQ community moving forward in this Trump administration Herndon stated, “You know that’s a big question. In this administration today I know there have been many challenges. I pretty much try to focus my attention on the kids and where we are in the South. We have seen the suicide rate go down but there’s so much work to be done educating not only the kids but educating the parents out there that don’t want to lose their kids. When I first started doing this even in a political environment it was hard to get people to listen to me. You’d go ‘Hey, do you know how may LGBTQ suicides you had in your state alone this last year?’ I had a number of people go, that’s not correct and I’m like no go look it up, it is correct. So when it comes to having power at all, it comes to the children...” Ty Herndon’s career spans two decades with 20 Billboard charted singles and 5 million albums sold. He continuously performs shows and maintains a heavy appearance schedule proving Herndon as unstoppable. In 2014 Ty was the first major male country artist to publicly come out as gay. Shortly after he made history when he hosted the first country music event, The Concert for Love and Acceptance. The event is designed to bring attention and support to at-risk youth. Since the launch of the event Herndon has partnered with GLAAD to produce the event each year using his celebrity influence for the better good. GLAAD announced that a grant named after Herndon was being offered to support young people for their commitment to enhancing LGBTQ inclusion and representation in music. The recipient of the Ty Herndon Rising Stars Grant receives $2,500 to further fund their work and initiatives. Zeke Stokes, GLAAD Chief Programs Officer talks with Emmy Winner Charlotte Robinson host of OUTTAKE VOICES™ about GLAAD + Ty Herndon’s The Concert for Love & Acceptance at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, Tennessee on June 6th. The concert features a coalition of artists and celebrities appearing and performing to accelerate acceptance for LGBTQ people. The 5th annual concert will take place during the legendary Country Music Association Festival and will be hosted by Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning artist Ty Herndon and CMT’s Cody Alan. Herndon who co-founded the concert with GLAAD in 2015 will also perform along with Antigone Rising, Daughtry, Harper Grae, Tayla Lynn, Brody Ray, Brandon Stansell, Rita Wilson, Chely Wright, Tyler Rich, Lee Brice, Mickey Guyton and more. We talked to Zeke who is also the Executive Producer of The Concert for Love & Acceptance about the inspiration for this amazing concert and his spin on our LGBTQ issues. When asked what he would like to accomplish with this event Stokes stated, “This is really important because it allows us to reach into the fan base of the country music community which is an enormous fan base. It’s the most popular format of music in the country behind R&B and so reaching country fans at a place they can be at each year at the Country Music Association Festival in Nashville to shine a light on stories of acceptance and LGBTQ equality is super important. A lot of people across this country haven’t made up their minds yet how they feel about LGBTQ equality and may be with us on marriage equality but they may not understand the transgender experience just yet. We’re bringing all those a message to the fan base because we want them to see what we know which is that if you’re not loving and accepting LGBTQ friends, family, community, church members, the people at work then you’re living in the past and not in the future and that’s where we’re trying to go.” Zeke Stokes joined GLAAD as Vice President of Programs in 2014 and as Chief Programs Officer he oversees GLAAD's advocacy work to advance the stories of LGBTQ people that lead to positive cultural change in the United States and abroad. He leads a staff of media professionals in both Los Angeles and New York City charged with executing GLAAD's campaigns and initiatives in entertainment, news, youth engagement, Spanish language, transgender representation and more. GLAAD is the world's largest LGBTQ media advocacy organization tackling tough issues to shape the narrative and provoke dialogue that leads to cultural change and accelerating acceptance for our LGBTQ community. For More Info & Tix: glaad.org LISTEN: 500+ LGBTQ Chats @OUTTAKE VOICES

Oh my gosh, we laughed so hard we cried. Then we cried because of all the beautiful life we have lived together in our band Stealing Angels... we talked about the heartbreak we felt when our band broke up, and now how we both have truly found our happiness doing what we love. Tayla is in a duo with a Grammy award winning guitar player, and they play shows all up and down the North West, selling them out! She is married to a man who is her rock and has 2 beautiful little boys. We talk about what it was like growing up as Loretta Lynn's Granddaughter, her love of singing and performing, alcohol-drugs-relapse-addiction and recovery, and how she has finally learned to live in the moment and enjoy the beautiful life she has created. I LOVED interviewing Tayla so much. She is my sister and truly the person who makes me laugh the hardest. #taylalynn #carolinehobby #hypercarolinehobby #nashville #lorettalynn #stealingangels #podcast Learn more about your ad-choices at https://news.iheart.com/podcast-advertisers
