Today we get a special treat: A conversation with my friend and former student, Micah Roberts. Micah is an avid gamer, he's gamed since before he can remember, and his insights are a valuable look not only into the world of gamers but also into the world of how we can lovingly parent children who love video games (and model healthy gaming for them). He's also the one who coined the phrase: "Game like you like your life." Today's conversation is spontaneous, honest, and a beautiful view into the world of gamers. Meaningful Junk - In the eighth episode of season three: Lazy, Cordi, and Rhenvi discuss media that resonated with them. From in depth games such as GRIS, That Dragon Cancer, Alan Wake, and more existential games like SOMA. Movies and music that makes their heart skip a beat from theme songs for anime, to Old Gods of Asgard, to John Williams and Jurassic Park and those that they disdain ahem "Baby" by Justin Bieber. Like all episodes our inability to maintain continuity is a trait here and the gang discuss plenty of side topics, like why we don't read anymore, sleep rejection, artificial flavoring, and so much more. #KarenCheesecake #CordiBebop #KungFuAvoidedMe #HumanDLC #LibrariesMostWanted
