Sure, it was originally a sports game based on ancient pok-ta-pok, and yeah, the story is just Eternal Champion, and okay, I'll admit that the character designs look like the dregs of DeviantArt, but damn, I wish that Thrill Kill actually came out.  On this episode, my good friend, Yeti, joins me to discuss the game that never was, and the game it became.  The game would later be repurposed as Wu Tang: Shaolin Style (which friggin' rips, by the way). Anyone who has ever played the Def Jam wrestling series will surely see a clear influence in the cartoony style and somewhat free roaming nature in the square playable areas.  The franchise had a comic book deal with Malibu Comics at one point. Not firstly, but first, the rock and/or roll that has been rendered one of the Garage Hour's cornerstones is called into question by longtime airplay savant Halloran, so a running debate of whether if/which/how tracks are rolled in the background of every episode infects every other stage of the show.  Some punk and garage rock goodness percolates to the surface, including My Life with the Thrill Kill Cult, SOMA, Stone Foxes, Beauty Bar, and Mark's old band, Sweat Engine.  But gearhead. Surprisingly, there's a ton of good automotive chatter in this episode as well - somewhat unlike the occasional Garage Hour that goes off to live in the digression.  Automotive design, Acura's beaks versus Caddy's creases, Pontiac's G8, little Benzes and Audis, car designs of the eras, commuting in the rain, street-riden old 'Glides versus Halloran's "Shriner Bike", F1 in Abu Dhabi, Schumacher in a Mercedes, bugeye versus hawkeye Subies, and GM versus Tiger Woods versus Ambien.  Then someone complained about Jeeps and Dirty Dave had to defend his Miata.  Go gearhead.

even is a lucky number for an anniversary year right? Well, I wish that sentiment was a bit closer to the truth, but 2016 has been it a bit of a bummer for some on a number of different levels—especially for George (seriously, send that guy “Hang in there” Cat meme or some shit on Twitter whenever you get the chance.) One of which happens to be the loss of Doris Roberts, the senior actress of Everybody Loves Raymond fame; and because of this, we decide to record commentary for another role that she’s also best known for…a little film by the name of Grandma’s Boy. George and Andrew argue about whether or not they still hold this movie in any high regard at all, while they sit back and see whether or not Ser’s enjoying since it was his first time watching this happily-schlocky Happy Madison joint. Between stories of recreational drug use, Nick Swardson shade, Grandma’s Boy trivia, Thrill Kill shout outs, and whether or not Uwe Boll looks like that fucking guy who played Damien Darhk in season 4 of Arrow. This was one hoot of a show, and honestly, probably one our favorite commentaries that we’ve recorded yet. I know we’ve said it before (and will most likely say it again the actual anniversary podcast), but the countless nights of editing, writing, laughing, and crying would not have been possible without you guys—I’m sincerely grateful for everyone who has supported us. If the state doesn't think you're safe enough to be in public with a firearm (and if you're inclined to do more crimes when you get out, you will likely get a firearm regardless of the law), then why is the state releasing you? You're clearly not safe to be in public anyway.
