Xbox's 2026 summer showcase has come and gone! As per usual, it was a relatively strong showing featuring big reveals and welcome surprises, yet it still managed to put up a few big head scratchers. Fortunately, the good outweighed the bad. For starters, the hardcore Xbox community has deeply yearned for the return to exclusivity. After months of lip service, Xbox is taking action by making Gears Of War: E-Day and Clockwork Revolution console exclusive. Obviously, that leaves us with many questions! Why these two games? What data do they hope to collect from them? Is Xbox appeasing their hardcore community for enough time to help rebuild the base before transitioning to a fully PC ecosystem? Beyond the strategy updates, we have plenty of good games! Halo, State Of Decay, A Plague Tale: Resonance, Persona 6, a new Spryo, Vivarium, and a chockful of other delightful looking games all made their presence felt. Unfortunately, Xbox has decided for what is technically a third year in a row to round out a showcase on a Call Of Duty game. Combined with a predictably lacking performance by Bethesda and the otherwise strong showcase experiences some serious lows. Last, but not least, we got an extended showing for Gears Of War: E-Day. It's another week of bad news for PlayStation, as PlayStation 5 -- as well as PS5 Pro and PlayStation Portal -- are getting another fresh round of global price increases. While every previous gaming generation got progressively cheaper over time, our current gen is becoming substantially more expensive, and things are clearly starting to get to a breaking point. Such a move speaks yet again to the uneven leadership, tastemaking ability, and decision making at the top of PlayStation Studios, and begs the question how much bloodletting we need to see before anyone takes responsibility. If this sort of thing doesn't fall on Hermen Hulst's shoulders (an idea which doesn't really make any sense in and of itself), then who or what is responsible, and when will the poor stewardship of the brand's own games and studios finally cease? Plus: PlayStation cuts down on its years-long mobile gaming investments and initiatives, Sly 4 studio Sanzaru at one time readied a pitch for a Jak & Daxter remake, we nearly got a Breaking Bad game on PSVR, Epic Games lays off 1,000 employees, Pearl Abyss owns its AI mistakes in Crimson Desert, Microsoft Flight Simulator on PS5 gets PSVR2 support, Marathon sells a purported (and somewhat soft) 1.2 million copies, and more. He's worked on “Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle”, “Yooka Laylee”, “Dropzone”, “Ghostbusters”, and in 2020/21 “World of Warcraft: Shadowlands” and “Minecraft Dungeons”. He is also the composer of the infamous “Donkey Kong Rap” from the Nintendo video game “Donkey Kong 64”, which was featured in the recent “Super Mario Bros. movie”. Got a bit of a doozy this week, Sony scrubs all mention of the KotoR Remake from their socails, and acts like its perfectly normal, several Ubisoft execs were arrested by French Police, and the French Govt. raids Nvidia, its a bad day to be in the French gaming industry. As the writers get back to work, SAG meets with the studios to try and negotiate their deal, as streamers seek to increase their rates yet again. Also we have a review of the Ahsoka season finale, as well as Gareth Edward's The Creator. We wrap up the show with our last list of 80s movies, this week, Drama.

In this episode, DuDs and Jimbo discuss the new features and changes in Snapshots 22w44a, 22w45a, and 22w46a, for Minecraft 1.19.3/1.20, a few of the improvements are that Monster Spawners no longer default as a Pig, there's a new Operator Tab in the creative inventory, and mob sounds will play when you put a Mob Head (including the new Piglin Head) on a Noteblock. Plus, We have three listener comments; the first is from LiinkRock letting us know that you might need to keep the XBOX App instead on your PC to use the new Minecraft Launcher. The second is from JesseW about adding new weather to the game, like maybe Sandstorms in the Desert and Dry Haze in Badlands.
