As if that weren't enough, she's also won awards for Americana CD of the Year, earned first-round nomination for the 2016 and 2018 Grammy Awards, was a 2019 multi- nominee for Kingdom Image Awards, and has even won the 2019 ISSA award for single of the year.Tia's 2018 album release of “Stubborn In My Blood” and the first single “Let ‘Em See You're Strong” received rave reviews. It would lead to placement on numerous “Best of 2018” lists. It was so powerful that it was even adopted by woman's empowerment groups, being embraced by communities all around the world.With nine international CD releases and multiple film and TV placements over the years, her recorded catalog is certainly a proud accomplishment, but where Tia truly shines is in her live performances. There’s nothing better than having a new album come in, you play it once, and then want to play it again... and again... and again. Canadian Americana/folk singer-songwriter Tia McGraff has just released a fabulous seventh album, "Stubborn In My Blood". The new album is her most personal album to date, and features 11 thoughtful and reflective songs - most written with her partner Tommy Parham alongside co-writes with Wood Newton, Pete Riley, Henry Priestman and Devon O'Day and a cover of the classic "One Tin Soldier". It's an album that's clearly intended to move and inspire her growing worldwide audience. With some great musicianship and support from some of the industry's top players, powerful lyrics and strong vocals, and an album cover that features Tia in boxing gloves, its clear that this time around, she's not holding anything back! As well as the new album, Tia is now also a published author having released a children's book, "Jake The Road Dawg", based on her dog Jake's adventures on the road with a couple of crazy touring musicians. Tia will be appearing at the Fred Eaglesmith Charity Picnic in Aylmer on August 18 and at MacKenzie Hall in Windsor ON on Friday August 24 before heading to the UK for a September tour. Johnny was so impressed with Tia, he invited her into June's dressing room to introduce the two. Soon the likes of Randy Bachman (BTO), Dan Hill (Celine Dion), Andrew Gold, and countless others, were inviting Tia to write and record with them. Tia's latest 12 track album is called Break These Chains and was produced by her co-writer/husband Tommy Parham (pictured on the left in the photo above). The rootsy melodies and honest lyrics have been produced with such integrity that one feels they are listening to something hauntingly familiar and refreshingly real. Perhaps it is because Tia’s influences include lyrical wonders like Joni Mitchell, Patty Griffin, and Mary Gauthier, or because she has drawn from the stories of those who have touched her own heart.
