We have a really fun episode of the show for you this week! We asked for your Zelda-themed "would you rather" questions, and you guys delivered so much that we had to split the episode into two parts! A couple of the questions we had fun with include: would you rather get a brand new Zelda right away and wait for the Switch 2 for ten years, or vice versa? Would you rather play Tri Force Heroes solo or 100% Hyrule Warriors? Would we rather all future Zelda games are open world, or traditional 3D titles? Would we have rather had a more fleshed out Sky or more fleshed out Depths in Tears o the Kingdom? All this, plus a ton more! We're also giving our thoughts on the new Zelda LEGO, following up on our Definitive Ranking of the OG Legend of Zelda, and wishing everyone a happy Pride Month! Support The Zelda Cast on Patreon! It's finally here! Weeks ago we asked you for YOUR spicy Zelda takes, and you delivered! This week, we're reacting to all the opinions shared and discussing whether we personally agree with them and if they go against the conventional norm of the Zelda community to dictate the level of spice! We're discussing things like Ocarina of Time being a mid-level Zelda game, Tri Force Heroes being an exceptional single-player experience, Tears of the Kingdom telling an amazing story in the worst way possible, The Wind Waker's OST being average, water-themed dungeons being the bet in the series, and so much more! All this, PLUS we're discussing Halloween and the state of trick-or-treating in 2023! Come play along with us and let us know what you agree or disagree with! Support The Zelda Cast on Patreon! 00:06:57 – Slot 1: Chega de conversa fiada – o que é The Legend of Zelda? 00:31:40 – The Legend of Zelda (1986); 00:38:44 – Zelda II: The Adventure of Link 00:45:17 - TLOZ: A Link to the Past 00:55:14- TLOZ: Link's Awakening 01:02:02 - TLOZ: Ocarina of Time 01:10:00 - TLOZ: Majora's Mask (algures por aqui o Óscar tentou explicar a timeline de TLOZ) 01:20:00 - TLOZ: Oracle of Seasons/Ages 01:30:47 - TLOZ: Four Swords (passou num instante) 01:31:47 - TLOZ: The Wind Waker 01:34:00 - TLOZ: Four Swords Adventures (também passou num instante) 01:35:00 - TLOZ: The Minish Cap 01:38:47 - TLOZ: Twilight Princess 01:42:00 - TLOZ: The Phantom Hourglass & Spirit Tracks 01:47:00 - TLOZ: Skyward Sword 01:52:00 - TLOZ: A Link Between Worlds* 01:54:00 - TLOZ: Breath of the Wild (o Óscar tinha de ir trabalhar então foi a correr) *os anfitriões estavam convencidos de que tinham falado de Tri Force Heroes, mas deve ter sido um sonho; **lamentavelmente, não houve Slot 2, os temas foram sendo referidos entre a história da série; Links úteis para conteúdo extra (não é DLC): Zelda Universe – discutivelmente o mais popular website para fãs de TLOZ (notícias, artigos, walkthroughs, etc); https://zeldauniverse.net/ Zelda Dungeon – a segunda parte do discutível acima; https://www.zeldadungeon.net/ The Book of Mudora – um popular podcast sobre a série https://open.spotify.com/show/3tNLcfNvtUCYUlQR7YgjO4

This week, the Dev, Anthony (@summerspeak), and the Prof, Larry (@ProfPlaysGames), discuss the latest Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase and games they've been playing such as Triforce Heroes and Sakuna of Rice and Ruin (weird!). We will be donating $1 for each download of this podcast episode until the end of July to Reproductive Freedom and Bodily Autonomy focused charities.
If you've listened to the Champions' Cast even a little, you probably know that The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes is Andy's least favorite Zelda game, so this week, we asked YOU to send us questions about the 3DS title for us to unpack. In addition to explaining why Andy thinks Tri Force Heroes is a bad Zelda game, the gang answer questions like what did they think of the totem mechanic, what their favorite outfit from the game was, if Lady Maud is an underrated villain, what their opinion on the music is, what could have been improved in the online play, and thoughts on playing solo versus with friends. You won't want to miss this show, as we cover all this PLUS weigh in on the Mysplaced / Link's Awakening controversy. Come enjoy a holiday Monday (well, for us Canadians anyway!) with us! We've got a special show for you this week as we catch up with Andrew Shouldice, the lead developer of Tunic, a game we called on this very show “maybe the best Zelda-like game we've ever played”. We pick Andrew's brain about the origins of Tunic, how the project started, how he met his collaborators, the state of Canadian indie developers, what other games inspired Tunic, the manual concept and where that was born, his reaction to the positive reception, what his gaming backlog looks like, and if there's a chance we see the little Fox back in action again someday. If you haven't played Tunic, check out our review and listen to our podcast episode and believe us when we say it's one of the best Inspired By Zelda games you'll play. … PLUS, get ready for a special treat next week, as we are taking YOUR questions about Andy's least favorite Zelda game: Tri Force Heroes! Kirk, Trev, and Justin discuss The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes
Hey, Zelda fans! 2021 has been a rough year for many of you—this has been, like, the longest year for me—and the general lack of Zelda stuff has not made it any easier. Hopefully, the five episodes we put out before this one this year have made it just a little bit more tolerable! div.aside { display: block; color: #fff; margin: 40px 40px; background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.7); padding: 40px; } @media only screen and (max-device-width: 640px) and (orientation: portrait), only screen and (max-device-width: 667px) and (orientation: portrait), only screen and (max-width: 480px) and (orientation: portrait) { div.aside { margin: 0px !important; padding: 16px !important; } } div.aside strong { font-size: 1.5em; font-weight: 200; text-transform: uppercase; font-style: italic; } div.aside a { color: #fff; } div.aside a:hover { color: #ccc; } ul.segments li { margin: 1.5em auto; } If you found us through Apple/Google Podcasts, Spotify, or some other podcatcher, then I encourage you to check out our website, zeldauniverse.net; we publish Legend of Zelda- and Nintendo-related news, exclusive editorial content and features, game guides, and more. You can also subscribe to ZeldaUniverseTV on YouTube and Twitch, or join our large, welcoming forum community! This is actually our twentieth episode since we returned from the dead in 2018! While I had wanted to do a little more for it than what we ended up doing, I did get to co-host this episode with my friend and yours, Elias Thompson, and had a great time doing it. Plus, we have a slate of thought-provoking content, including the return of a segment that we haven't had in a while, as well as a guest segment from former Zelda Universe and Zelda Wiki "tech guy" Justin! So, without further ado, here's the rundown for this episode: (due to time constraints, the segment timestamps are not yet available below but will be added in the coming week) Zelda History, Part 6: 2011-2015 Presented by Shona Hey Listen!: Reflecting on the 35th Anniversary Presented by Brian An Introduction to Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland Presented by Justin Folvarcik, former ZU DevOps head What If Zelda Was…an Unpacking Game? Presented by Randy Episode credits Presented by Eden Oops! I Crapped My Pants (Bloopers) Zelda Universe also has a presence on Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok (@ZeldaUniverse), and Instagram, YouTube, and Twitch (@ZeldaUniverseTV). We also have a website, zeldauniverse.net, which is older than any of those social media sites. You can leave feedback about the ZUCast on said social media sites, in our email inbox at podcast@zeldauniverse.net, or on the Zelda Universe Forums, which again, has been around longer than those social media sites. We're old, is what I think I'm getting at. With the Breath of the Wild sequel (probably) out next year, you can look forward to some particularly awesome episodes from us coming in the near future! As to what else awaits all of us, only time will tell. In the meantime, thanks to all of you for sticking with us for all this time, whether you started with our first episode in 2018 or this one! Happy new year! Special thanks to Joshua Lindquist for putting together the static graphics for this episode!
Another week goes by, another week with no Zelda news. In order to pas the time and entertain ourselves, Andy and Al are joined by Gooey Fame to answer some Zelda-themed "would you rather" questions. Would we rather every new Zelda game play like Tri Force Heroes or look like Twilight Princess? Would we rather work for Beedle or Tingle? How has our opinions on Breath of the Wild's ambient music changed over the years? Is the music of Tri Force Heroes its one redeemable quality? Which Zelda game gets the S-Tier crown? Michael and Andrew intro the show and give the weekly air quality report (0:21), play What Movie Did This Rutledge Wood Anagram Remind Me Of (1:36), examine the location for episode seven of Floor is Lava (5:34), review and rank the Bostonians and Tom Hardy (09:06), review and rank the Siblings and Mahershala Ali (37:14), review and rank the Tri Force Heroes and Jamie Lee Curtis (69:09), give out individual awards and declare a winner (88:44), tackle their own obstacle course in Put Up or Please Be Quiet, Please (96:32), then outro and plugs (101:50).
Guess who's back? Back again?! That's right, Andy is back on the show, and he's brought Gooey with him to talk cheap plugs, and also play a game of Would You Rather? This was a load of fun last time we played, so we did it again, asking for your questions! Would we rather erase Midna or Tingle from Zelda? Would we rather play bombchu bowling or the shooting gallery? Would we rather have to see every game look like Twilight Princess or play like Tri Force Heroes!? All this and so much more in this light, breezy, fun episode! Check it out! Follow the Champions' Cast on Twitter: Andy Spiteri – @Spiteri316 Kevin O'Rourke – @Shabazzle Alasyn Eletha – @AlasynEletha

Zelda Dungeon recently launched its biggest feature of the year with its Best Zelda Ever 2019 Edition List, so the crew get together and weight in on what they think of each games placement. How did Twilight Princess rank so high? How did Skyward Sword rank so low? Do too many people have rosy colored glasses when it comes to A Link to the Past? And most importantly - how does Kevin live with himself ranking Tri Force Heroes as his favorite Zelda?! All this and more in this action packed episode!

Hello friends! We're back after a week off due to to some technical snafus to talk all about MULTIPLAYER! Where have we been, and where could we be going? We brought in the expert, Kevin 'KO' O'Rourke, to help us talk Tri Force Heroes, Four Swords Adventures, Hyrule Warriors, Cadence of Hyrule and more and what aspects of those games we'd want want to see IF multiplayer were to be added to Breath of the Wild 2. Come hang and debate along with us!
The stylish Kingdom of Hytopia is obsessed with fashion, so an evil witch curses the Princess Styla to wear an irremovable, hideous jumpsuit. It's up to the fabled Tri Force Heroes to find the style necessary to enter the Witch's Drablands and end her reign of fear over Hytopia. This is the 18th canonical Zelda game, "The Legend of Zelda: The Three Triforce Musketeers". We discuss the Realm of the Gods, the Place Where Lost Things Go, and why this is the most canon game in the series.

This week Mikey is back, and we shoot the breeze about games we've been playing, our slowed reflexes, and hands on impressions of Starfox and Triforce Heroes! (1:09:13/63.4MB)
Totem Time! This week, our weekly podcast takes a look at the recent interviews regarding Tri Force Heroes and its lore, as well as some exciting Nintendo demos that were shown off during E3 2015. With tons of laughs and a hearty helping of fan topics, don't be the purple link (too soon?) and miss out on this week's charming episode of the ZI Podcast! Your cast this week is Adam, our host and green link (for his courageous stupidity); Caleb, the lovably cynical red link (don't mention blast ball to him, whatever you do!); Al, our incredibly wise blue link (he wrote an editorial on Tri Force Heroes, you know); and last but not least, Zion, our very own purple link (like ridley, he's purple and ignored by Nintendo). Thank you to everyone who submitted fan topics and incredibly sweet words of endearment to our email. A huge shoutout to Brandon and Co. for their awesome theme song, as well as Jeesh for the Hero of Time Remix that we're so fond of. If you have any of your own fan topics, theme song submissions, cover art or even fan fiction, please send that to us at ZeldaInformerPodcast@gmail.com. Follow Adam and Caleb on twitter for more humor and behind the scenes stuff!
This week on the ZI Podcast, we tackle the amazingly exciting E3 2015 expo, filled with tons of laughter, tears, anger, and confusion. Since this is a special episode, we decided to do it differently than usual and record it in two parts: One online, and the other with our team that was on the show floor the entire three days. This week's podcast features, for the in person section (part 1): Adam, your host as always; Jeff, the man with the plan; Zion, the man with the cam; and Rodney, the man...with...something (I ran out of rhymes). Your online cast features: Caleb, your temporary host (doing a pretty solid job, might I add); Jake (He's very butt hurt this week, but we still love him); Chris, the optimist (If I had a nickel for every time he cursed...); and Leon (he sounds like solid snake). As usual you can download this week's podcast in the links above, and subscribe to us on podbean or iTunes. Got fan art, theme songs, or topics? Make sure to send them our way at zeldainformerpodcast@gmail.com. We're a bit back-logged on topics (we'll be going covering them starting next week), but we're always happy to hear from you all and answer as many questions as we can!
