On today's episode of The Therapy Crouch, Abbey and Peter are back with plenty to catch up on as Abbey prepares to head off to Nashville for her sister's hen do — complete with themed outfits, tattoos, line dancing and a cowboy strip show that Peter is less than thrilled about! The pair also reveal how their romantic trip away somehow turned into six hours looking at tiles, including a £1.7 million bath, before reflecting on how much their weekends have changed over the years and why they're perfectly happy growing into “boring bastards” together.Elsewhere, Peter reveals the brilliant mistake made on the shirt he wore when he scored his first England goal, the pair debate whether clapping when a plane lands should ever be acceptable, and Abbey questions why men can remember a golf trip months in advance but somehow forget the plans they've made with their wives. In the Agony Abs, Abbey and Peter talk finding love later in life and why turning 40 or 50 certainly doesn't mean the fun has to stop. We also hear from a listener who discovers his wife has been sharing details of their love life in a girls' WhatsApp group, sparking a big debate over just how much you should really be telling your friends about what goes on behind closed doors...00:00 Introduction 00:44 Abbey's Nashville Hen Do 05:13 Hen Do Themes & Cowboy Strippers 08:37 Six Hours Shopping for Tiles 13:12 The £1.7 Million Bath 17:13 Abbey & Peter's Date Night 20:46 Peter's England Shirt Disaster 24:41 Peter's Northern Lights Disaster 28:17 Why Men Forget Plans 32:54 Growing Old Together 37:14 Therapy Crouch Blind Dates 40:21 Dating Over 50 45:16 Sharing Your Sex Life With FriendsShop Back to School at Aldi, Which?

Producing digital inks, glues and ink effects for ceramic decoration is a highly sophisticated process that relies on the careful integration of multiple formulation components. Achieving consistent performance, long-term stability and reliable production quality requires the use of a range of specialized additives, each playing a critical role in ensuring proper product functionality and processability. In this episode, we revisit the concept behind the DECOFLUX DP range: a modular additive platform developed to support ink manufacturers and ceramic companies that produce their own digital inks and glues in-house. From pigment grinding to final dilution, we explore how each element of the platform — from pre-optimized grinding media and universal dispersants to viscosity modifiers and stabilizing agents — has been designed to address the practical and evolving requirements of the formulation

We are diving back into one of our most popular and highly requested conversations! In this rebroadcast, host William Curb sits down with Maddy De Gabrielle to talk about moving past the struggle of adult ADHD and building a highly personalized, practical toolkit for daily survival. If you've ever felt overwhelmed by neurotypical advice that demands the very executive function you're short on, this episode is your permission slip to stop trying to fix your memory and start accommodating it instead. What We Cover in This Episode: The Myth of Neurotypical Sleep Hygiene: Why traditional "wind-down" routines can backfire for an ADHD brain—and how a pair of sleep headphones and a late-night treadmill walk completely flipped the script for Maddy. Low-Tech, High-Impact Hacks: From an $8 plastic medication dispenser that removes the executive burden of record-keeping, to using an unexpected "grabber bar" to tackle messy floors with the kids. Defeating Time Blindness: The power of a waterproof shower clock to manage transition anxiety and conquer the daily "getting in vs. getting out" hurdle. Out of Sight, Out of Mind: Why Bluetooth trackers (like AirTags and Tiles) are crucial health support devices for an ADHD brain's short-term memory limits. The Shared Vocabulary of ADHD: Powerful phrases like "I'm stuck" and the difference between "climbing the wall" vs. "staring at the wall" that can transform communication with your partner or family. "My life got so much better when I stopped trying to improve my memory and instead treated myself like someone who had a memory problem." — Maddy De Gabrielle This Episode's Top Tips When we're looking at what goes into our tool kit we need to be thinking of both the physical and mental items that can assist us throughout the day. It's important to work on getting past the idea of how we "should" be able to do certain things and look at what tools will let us actually do those things. It's important to work on understanding and accepting ADHD as a chronic condition. We need to recognize ADHD's impact on our daily life and work on employing practical tools and strategies to mitigate those challenges.

Tiling involves filling a plane or space with repeated elements, known as tiles. This simple concept is deeply embedded in the natural world and human design, appearing in structures as varied as the hexagonal wax cells of a beehive and decorative wallpapers. While regular hard tiles—geometric shapes with straight edges that fit together without gaps or overlaps—are common in human-made designs, nature often favours soft or irregular patterns, shaped by physical forces. In this lecture, I will explore how both regular and irregular tiling patterns, hard and soft, emerge in nature and the underlying mathematical principles that govern their formation. This lecture was recorded by Alain Goriely on the 28th of April 2026Alain Goriely is a mathematician with broad interests in mathematical methods, mechanics, sciences, and engineering. He is well known for his contributions to dynamical systems, mathematical biology, as well as fundamental and applied mechanics. He is particularly well known for the development of a mathematical theory of biological growth, culminating with his seminal monograph The Mathematics on Mechanics of Biological Growth (2017).He received his PhD from the University of Brussels in 1994 where he became a lecturer. In 1996, he joined the University of Arizona where he established a research group within the renowned Program of Applied Mathematics. In 2010, he joined the University of Oxford as the inaugural Statutory Professor of Mathematical Modelling and fellow of St. Catherine's College. He is currently the Director of the Oxford Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. In addition, Alain has enjoyed scientific outreach based on problems connected to his research, including tendril perversion in plants, twining plants, umbilical cord knotting, whip cracking, the shape of seashells, brain modelling, and he is the author of a Very Short Introduction to Applied Mathematics (2017). His work has been recognized by a Sloan Fellowship, a Royal Society Wolfson Research Award, the Cozzarelli Prize from the National Academy of Sciences and the Engineering Medal from the Society of Engineering Sciences. He was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society in 2022.The transcript of the lecture is available from the Gresham College website: https://www.gresham.ac.uk/watch-now/shape-tilesGresham College has offered free public lectures for over 400 years, thanks to the generosity of our supporters. If you love quirky destinations, this segment is pure trip fuel. Then we shift gears into cycling safety after a disturbing road rage hit-and-run involving a group ride in Georgia. We break down the “cars own the road” attitude, why it puts cyclists and everyone else at risk, and how bike cameras can play a real role in accountability. From there, it gets personal with a plantar fasciitis update, bone spurs, orthotics, and what recovery looks like when you still want to stay active. We wrap with practical cycling trip packing tips that can save a weeklong ride: bring a derailleur hanger that fits your exact bike, pack detergent for emergency kit washes, track your bike and bags with AirTags or Tiles, and carry a power bank that keeps your phone, lights, computer, and radar alive. A pair of mirrored birds lean towards one another, their colours bright, but soft. If you look closely, you can see that their bodies are forming a heart. Copeland E3 Tiles, Layout Stuff, Firmware & Atlanta Hood Rat Sh$t Episode-- 514 E3 Tile Chaos to Clean Startup Screens: Organizing CO₂ Racks, Layouts, and a Firmware ‘Oops'Brett Wetzel and Kevin Compass kick off this rowdy Advanced Refrigeration Podcast episode with travel talk and a quick rant about getting an E3 to communicate after an IP change, then jump into turning a messy CO₂ rack tile setup into something actually usable. They walk through creating and reorganizing tile groups (receiver, gas cooler, suction groups, oil separator, cases, etc.), explain why breaking menus down makes troubleshooting faster, and show how to build custom layout/startup screens with the key points techs actually need (pressures, temps, valve %, superheat). Along the way they discover icon management, debate the “misc/other” junk-drawer tabs, fumble through the lack of search, and even start a firmware/display update while joking about what might slam shut if it goes sideways. They finish with a quick Modbus address tip and plans for future E3 training videos.
