Google apparently wants to unleash 32 million mosquitoes in parts of the US, which somehow led us to ask Sydney's most important question: where would you release them here? Tim had a very specific grudge against a traffic nightmare in Petersham, listeners nominated everything from road intersections to entire suburbs, and one caller absolutely unloaded on Casula. Along the way, we learned why the mozzies are being released in the first place, got distracted by Niall Horan jokes, and discovered a genuinely shocking list of the deadliest animals on Earth. Turns out mosquitoes are a lot scarier than sharks... and dogs somehow made the list too.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The one night of the year he grabs a beer is always on Irish turf when he checks out a local boozer with his crew for one night! This amazing young man has an incredible backstory but he has turned tragedy into triumph and inspired so many on the way. He talks about “finding your people” on the road, why he sometimes just stares out at the audience to remember it all, and how the big streaming numbers still don't feel real - but what actually matters is the people. An open, heartfelt conversation about losing parents young, keeping their memory alive for his kids, and the artists he's dying to collaborate with next — Niall Horan and Hozier!!
On a new episode of The Rolling Stone Interview podcast, writer Larisha Paul sits down with singer and songwriter Niall Horan as he gears up for the release of his new album, Dinner Party. At 32, he's spent half of his life playing shows and releasing records, first as a member of One Direction, and for the past decade, all on his own. The past few years in particular have found him in an introspective state as he reflects on falling in love and contending with grief following the death of his former bandmate, Liam Payne. Horan processes it all through music. He approaches pop with optimism, honesty, and an exceptional ear for sharp melodies. Four solo albums in, Horan is most interested in celebrating life and love with thousands of fans each night on his increasingly ambitious tours – then retreating from the spotlight until there are more songs to play. FROM THE VAULT: In this clip, Niall Horan sits down with the lads to reflect on the surreal rise from “wonderkid” expectations to global superstardom with One Direction, and the unique pressures that come with being compared to icons like The Beatles. Niall opens up about how there was “no blueprint” for handling that level of fame, especially when breaking America at such a young age, and recalls the exact moment he realised just how big things had become. The conversation dives into the realities of life on tour, from the chaos of constant travel to staying grounded and present while performing across the world. Niall also shares his ambitions beyond music — including what a Grammy nomination would mean to him — and how he measures success in an industry often compared to football's biggest prizes.Away from the spotlight, Niall explains how golf became his “great escape” from fame, offering rare moments of peace away from fans and media frenzy. With funny behind-the-scenes stories, reflections on pressure, and honest insight into life at the top, this clip reveals a side of global stardom few get to see.If you like this clip, you can catch the full episode here:https://youtu.be/_NUIj_j1IfI ChumbawambaFor more Peter Crouch: Twitter - https://twitter.com/petercrouch Therapy Crouch - https://www.youtube.com/@thetherapycrouch For more Chris Stark Twitter - https://twitter.com/Chris_StarkInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/chrisstark/For more Steve Sidwell Twitter - https://twitter.com/sjsidwell Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/stevesidwell14 #PeterCrouch #ThatPeterCrouchPodcast Hosted on Acast. Bow down to the King of Crimping! On this episode of Dish, we have a wonderful time in the company of Irish singer-songwriter, Niall Horan. Niall rose to prominence as a member of One Direction and, following the band's hiatus, has been releasing music and touring as a solo artist. His latest single, Dinner Party, is out now, with an album of the same name, due out on 5 June. Following the completion of his pre-show ‘survey', we were able to make Niall's Dish dreams come true by not only serving him a hearty pie, but getting him to make his own version to take home for a second helping. Things begin with a strong Pomegranate Negroni that seems to hit the spot. We get to hear about Niall's first time out on a stage, his aversion to a range of vegetables and the presence of fruit in a savoury meal. We then hit the main course, a pie which uses Martha Collison's beef bourguignon for the filling, served with a cauli-cheddar mash. It was the full pie experience, with a shortcrust pastry base and top, all served with a glass of No.1 Côtes du Rhône Villages. Thank you to Niall for naming his record Dinner Party, which made for a great conversation about the music, but was also the perfect excuse for some end-of-show icebreakers... when the ice was already well and truly broken. As you may have guessed, this episode was recorded ahead of St Patrick's Day. You can watch full episodes of Dish on YouTube and on Spotify. All recipes from this podcast can be found at waitrose.com/dishrecipes The recipe for the beef bourguignon was created for Waitrose by Martha Collison. One Direction's third studio album "Midnight Memories" marked a noticeable shift in their sound, image, and ambition. Released in 2013, the album featured massive singles like “Best Song Ever,” “Story of My Life,” “Midnight Memories,” and “You & I,” and signaled a move away from polished teen pop toward a more guitar-driven, rock-influenced sound. In this episode, Chris and Chantel Nicole go track by track through "Midnight Memories", sharing their honest thoughts on the production, songwriting, vocals, and whether this era truly represented growth for Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik. Was this the moment One Direction matured as artists? Or just a stylistic experiment in the middle of peak boyband mania?Join us on Patreon!: https://www.patreon.com/CCTVPOPSFollow us on social media: https://linktr.ee/cctvpops0:00 - Intro0:46 - "Midnight Memories" Album Info2:31 - Album Cover3:00 - "Best Song Ever"12:00 - "Story Of My Life"18:11 - "Diana"22:28 - "Midnight Memories"27:28 - "You & I"36:18 - "Don't Forget Where You Belong"40:00 - "Strong"44:15 - "Happily"48:49 - "Right Now"51:50 - "Little Black Dress"55:56 - "Through The Dark"59:33 - "Something Great"1:04:07 - "Little White Lies"1:07:56 - "Better Than Words"1:11:14 - Cut or Keep1:12:36 - Overall Thoughts & Final RatingReferences:“Best Song Ever” MV https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_v9MY_FMcw&pp=ygUcb25lIGRpcmVjdGlvbiBiZXN0IHNvbmcgZXZlcg%3D%3D“Best Song Ever” Live from Where We Are Tour https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7rvnjVgbzc&pp=ygUcb25lIGRpcmVjdGlvbiBiZXN0IHNvbmcgZXZlcg%3D%3D“Story Of My Life” MV https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-TE_Ys4iwM&pp=ygUeb25lIGRpcmVjdGlvbiBzdG9yeSBvZiBteSBsaWZl “Story Of My Life” Live on the 1D TV Special https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2h6KIpBums&pp=ygUeb25lIGRpcmVjdGlvbiBzdG9yeSBvZiBteSBsaWZl “Diana” Live from Where We Are Tour https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEtHLWGi4jY&pp=ygUTb25lIGRpcmVjdGlvbiBkaWFuYQ%3D%3D “Midnight Memories” MV https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkx9kCdaaMg&pp=ygUfb25lIGRpcmVjdGlvbiBtaWRuaWdodCBtZW1vcmllcw%3D%3D “Midnight Memories” Live from Where We Are Tour https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_D8ug72MoI&pp=ygUfb25lIGRpcmVjdGlvbiBtaWRuaWdodCBtZW1vcmllc9IHCQmHCgGHKiGM7w%3D%3D “You & I” MV https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kqQDCxRCzM&pp=ygUYb25lIGRpcmVjdGlvbiB5aW91IGFuZCBp “You & I” Live on BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDzS9SQ6Xac&pp=ygUYb25lIGRpcmVjdGlvbiB5aW91IGFuZCBp “Strong” Live from Where We Are Tour https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azxckhLfTYA&pp=ygUUb25lIGRpcmVjdGlvbiBzdHJvbmfSBwkJhwoBhyohjO8%3D “Happily” Live from Where We Are Tour https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuT1K7Hhua0&pp=ygUVb25lIGRpcmVjdGlvbiBoYXBwaWx5 “Right Now” Live from Where We Are Tour https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQG_SMaVHNU&pp=ygUXb25lIGRpcmVjdGlvbiByaWdodCBub3c%3D “Little Black Dress” Live from Where We Are Tour https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKDpIKNr840&pp=ygUgb25lIGRpcmVjdGlvbiBsaXR0bGUgYmFsY2sgZHJlc3M%3D “Through the Dark” Live from Where We Are Tour https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5eBVMqO-Vw&pp=ygUeb25lIGRpcmVjdGlvbiB0aHJvdWdoIHRoZSBkYXJr “Better Than Words” Live from Where We Are Tour https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybUFx8xvZfM&pp=ygUfb25lIGRpcmVjdGlvbiBiZXR0ZXIgdGhhbiB3b3Jkcw%3D%3D

When Niall Horan released his debut solo album Flicker in 2017, many didn't expect the quiet, guitar-playing Irish member of One Direction to deliver one of the strongest post-1D projects - but he just might have.In this episode, Chris and Chantel Nicole revisit Flicker to explore how Niall leaned into folk-pop, soft rock, and singer-songwriter influences to create a surprisingly cohesive and emotionally resonant debut. We dig into the production, lyrics, and standout tracks like "This Town", "Slow Hands", and "Too Much to Ask", and ask: did Niall find his lane better than some of his louder bandmates?Join us on Patreon!: https://www.patreon.com/CCTVPOPSFollow us on social media: https://linktr.ee/cctvpops0:00 - Intro1:28 - "Flicker" Album Info2:43 - Album Cover4:27 - "On The Loose"11:40 - "This Town"15:51 - "Seeing Blind"20:36 - "Slow Hands"24:50 - "Too Much To Ask"29:24 - "Paper Houses"33:32 - "Since We're Alone"37:22 - "Flicker"43:05 - "Fire Away"46:13 - "You And Me"51:49 - Cut or Keep52:56 - Overall Thoughts & Final RatingReferences: “On The Loose” MV https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wk99OKNE_Ro&pp=ygUYbmlhbGwgaG9yYW4gb24gdGhlIGxvb3Nl“This Town” Live https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNBlfyYHu80&pp=ygUVbmlhbGwgaG9yYW4gdGhzaSB0b3du “Seeing Blind' Official Acoustic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKbl19xeSIQ&pp=ygUYbmlhbGwgaG9yYW4gc2VlaW5nIGJsaW5k0gcJCQMKAYcqIYzv “Slow Hands” Live from Madison Square Garden https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_NO5PzMy6E&pp=ygUWbmlhbGwgaG9yYW4gc2xvdyBoYW5kcw%3D%3D “Too Much To Ask” MV https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljXSjIph5ZM&pp=ygUbbmlhbGwgaG9yYW4gdG9vIG11Y2ggdG8gYXNr “Flicker” Live on the Today Show https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSdwMBbfyg4&pp=ygUTbmlhbGwgaG9yYW4gZmxpY2tlcg%3D%3D “Fire Away” Live with the RTE Concert Orchestra https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wxu7rJKVgkQ&pp=ygUVbmlhbGwgaG9yYW4gZmlyZSBhd2F5
