Jon Paul Crimi is a Breathwork pioneer known for his zero filter East Coast edge and his ability to make deep transformation practical, powerful, and accessible. With more than a decade and a half of experience, he has helped redefine modern Breathwork by stripping away the overly mystical tone and replacing it with grounded, results driven work that speaks to skeptics, leaders, and everyday people alike. Originally from Boston, Jon Paul moved to Los Angeles in his early twenties and quickly became one of the most sought after celebrity trainers and sobriety coaches in the country. He worked with Oscar and Grammy winners, Olympic gold medalists, top studio executives, and industry leaders. It was through his dear friend Matthew Perry that Jon Paul was first introduced to Breathwork. The experience was profound and life altering. He immersed himself in the practice, developed his own distinct style, and soon began selling out classes across Los Angeles. Jon Paul's work focuses on emotional regulation, resilience, and trauma integration. Participants often describe their first experience as feeling like decades of therapy without saying a word. His ability to combine intensity, humor, and psychological depth has made him especially effective with entrepreneurs, creatives, executives, and those navigating major life transitions. Jon Paul has worked with major companies including Nike and LinkedIn, bringing Breathwork into corporate environments through customized workshops and retreats. He has also led in person and online teacher training certifications, mentoring the next generation of facilitators. His work has been featured at the HEAL Hay House Summit and recognized by major media outlets including The Hollywood Reporter, LA Magazine, Good Morning America, and numerous international podcasts. Jon Paul's clientele ranges from CEOs and founders to professional athletes and award winning artists. Leaders often seek him out for his no nonsense delivery and measurable impact. He believes Breathwork should not be reserved for the spiritual elite but made accessible to anyone willing to do the work. Now based in Bend, Oregon with his wife and two children, Jon Paul continues his mission to bring Breathwork into the mainstream and help people move from rock bottom to mastery using the most overlooked tool they already possess: their breath.  https://breathewithjp.com/ Come take an online Breathwork class with Jon Paul. Even if you think Breathwork isn't for you, or you're skeptical about online classes, you need to be willing to try something different to see a different result in your life. Keep an open mind. People who do it call it the most transformational experience they've ever had—like 20 years of therapy without saying a word https://www.instagram.com/jonpaulcrimi/

In this episode of The Meditation Podcast, Roy sits down with Jon Paul Crimi — Breathwork pioneer, celebrity trainer, and sobriety coach based in Bend, Oregon. Jon Paul shares how his late friend Matthew Perry first introduced him to Breathwork, how a single session sent him "down the rabbit hole," and how he transformed a niche, mystical practice into a grounded, results-driven method that's now certified over 3,000 instructors worldwide. The conversation covers the science behind "tetany" (the hand-cramping sensation common in circular breathwork), why Jon Paul's mouth-breathing technique differs from nose-breathing methods like Wim Hof, how trauma stored in the nervous system gets released through the breath, and why he believes breathwork produces results comparable to psychedelics — without the logistical downsides. He also opens up about his own sobriety (26 years), his father's Alzheimer's diagnosis, his experience bringing breathwork into corporations like Nike and LinkedIn, and how to spot unqualified instructors in an unregulated industry.   What we Discussed 0:02 – Introduction and welcome 0:53 – How Jon Paul got into breathwork through Matthew Perry 2:08 – What "breathwork" actually means (it's an umbrella term) 2:48 – Jon Paul's mouth-breathing technique vs. nose-breathing methods 7:41 – Full-circle moment: teaching at a Tony Robbins Life Mastery Seminar 8:16 – Leading the largest in-person circular breathwork class (900 people, Switzerland) 10:20 – What causes "tetany" (the hand-cramping) — and how to stop it 14:25 – Why trauma surfaces during breathwork (and why that's a good thing) 17:13 – How long sessions should last, and why headphones matter 19:03 – Transient hypofrontality — quieting the inner critic 20:43 – Breathwork vs. psychedelics (ayahuasca, microdosing) 24:18 – Recommended frequency of practice 25:13 – Age recommendations for breathwork with children 26:21 – Alzheimer's, PTSD research, and where the science currently stands 28:05 – How to spot underqualified or unsafe instructors 31:02 – Inside his certification process (in-person vs. online, pricing) 43:57 – Bringing breathwork into corporations (Nike, LinkedIn) 51:03 – Breathwork's pop culture moment — the show Flaked with Will Arnett 54:24 – Where to find Jon Paul and closing thoughts Contact Details

Let's accept fully this Age of Hermes fully, as Stephen Crimi joins us to discuss his book, Hermes Runs the Game: Inverted Myth, Sacrifice and Initiation In-Forming the Events of 2020-2024. We'll explore the profound connection between ancient Greek mystery traditions and the underlying structure of reality, where the “imaginal realm” of myths and spirits continuously interacts with human consciousness. Recent global events are analyzed as occult inversions of sacred rituals, where traditional practices like religious processions and ablutions were subverted to manipulate the public and fragment the cultural fabric. By identifying the trickster influence of Hermes and practicing discriminative discernment, individuals can move beyond rational logic to achieve the spiritual Gnosis required to see through modern narratives. In this wide-ranging and provocative conversation, author and publisher Steve Crimi unpacks the layered meanings behind the phrase “Hermes runs the Game”, the title of his new book. Drawing from mythology, ritual history, and personal insights from the early COVID era, Crimi traces Hermes not as a mythic relic but as a living archetypal force permeating systems of communication, commerce, and control. He connects Hermes' mythic role as a trickster, thief, and psychopomp to the linguistic manipulation and symbolic inversion witnessed during the pandemic. The discussion moves fluidly through classical myth, the origins of ritual sacrifice, and Crimi's personal awakening during the social response to COVID mandates. Crimi views Hermes not only as a historical deity but as an active metaphysical principle that continues to shape our perceptions, boundaries, and beliefs—especially in moments of collective crisis.Where to get the book:Logosophia Books:https://logosophiabooks.comHow to find Steve:Steve's SubstackMy personal SubstackBy Steve and Krys CrimiKrystina Crimi at Fine Art America:https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/krystina-crimiKrystina Crimi at Etsy:https://www.etsy.com/shop/PhilosophyFarm?ref=related&listing_id=1199682791#itemsPodcasts:https://logosophiabooks.com/podcasts/Send us a textVisit http://www.magicalegyptwomen.comor http://www.magicalegypt.comGet the latest updates on our link tree https://linktr.ee/magicalegypt.com Connect https://www.facebook.com/vanesemcneill Own Magical Egypt http://www.magicalegypt.com Get Heka https://wow.magicalegyptstore.com/heka Become a Patron https://www.patreon.com/magicalegypt

Welcome to "On Meaning." Today with Tamir Dortal and Heather Mac Donald, we'll dive into a topic that's on everyone's mind yet isn't often deeply explored.Do you ever wonder why there are so few black people in executive positions? Why is this considered rasicim, while large numbers of Asians in advanced math and science high schools, is?  Heather Mac Donald, author of the new book "When Race Trumps Merit." She asks challenging questions about what truly lies behind these issues. Is it in fact racism which leads to these disparities, or is there something else accuring? Are we putting too much emphasis on race and not enough on merit? How is this affecting our schools, jobs, police forces, and even our art, music, and culture? Most importantly, what will happen to our society if we continue down this path?Heather's book is bold and thought-provoking.  it may challenge what you thought you know about race and success in America.Join us today as we ask difficult questions, explore different points of view, and try to understand what's really at the heart of these complex issues. It's a conversation you won't want to miss. קישור להצטרפות ולתמיכה בעל המשמעות ואתר מידהSupport the showלצפיה ברשימת ההמלצותלתמיכה ותרומות להפקת הפודקאסט וביצוע מנויהאזנה נעימה!

The simple act of breathing is much more complex than you may realize. We just simply take it for granted.Crossing cultural boundaries and spanning as far back as you could imagine, breath has been revered as the bridge between the physical and spiritual realms. From the yogic pranayama of ancient India to the rhythmic chants in Native American ceremonies, breath has always been harnessed as a catalyst for transformation and connection. Scientific studies are piling up that unravel the profound physiological, psychological,  emotional and spiritual benefits of conscious breathing. It's a resilient and multifaceted practice that has found its place as a revolutionary tool for healing and enhanced well-being in the modern world. After experiencing immediate breakthroughs in just one class, Clairannoyance co-hosts Megan and Ryan sat down with world renowned breathwork instructor Jon Paul Crimi to learn more about his background and unique approach. Jon Paul infuses his contagious, unabashed personality into his work while paying great respect to breathwork as an ancient practice. His no-nonsense attitude both in and out of class is rare to find; he is not your stereotypical New Age teacher, and this is not a "woo woo" class. (Which is to say, this is a gold star standard for Clairannoyance.)Tune in as Megan and Ryan share about their consciousness-altering breathwork experience, learn from Jon Paul about his unique style of "conscious connected breathing" or "circular breathing," and discover all sorts of unexpected bits of wisdom, like why you should never hand a tissue to someone who is crying. Let them ugly cry. If they want the tissue they'll get it!In all seriousness, we do not endorse lightly. This is the only breathwork instructor we could image going to. We are immediately incorporating breathwork into our routine. Please consider signing up for a class (more info below). If you're currently breathing, you need to see what you're missing out on. About Jon Paul CrimiOriginally from Boston, in his early 20s Jon Paul Crimi moved to Los Angeles and quickly became one of the most sought-after celebrity trainers and sober coaches in the country. Unexpectedly, he found himself in a breathwork class and had a massive transformation that first time. Jon Paul currently resides in Bend, Oregon with his wife and two children but returns monthly to Los Angeles to teach sold-out breathwork classes and workshops, as well as lead his in-demand Breathwork Teacher Trainings. Peter Crimi is one of the most inspirational humans Karianne and I have ever met. His story is beyond surviving against the odds of his first 72 hours. Beyond persevering against the Sisyphean like disease of spastic cerebral palsy. Beyond the impressive feats of body and mind like doing the Boston Frogman 5k swim. His story is that of how beautiful the human spirit is and how incredible our journey can be. His story is about truly living. Support the show
