In this wide-ranging and provocative conversation, author and publisher Steve Crimi unpacks the layered meanings behind the phrase “Hermes runs the Game”, the title of his new book. Drawing from mythology, ritual history, and personal insights from the early COVID era, Crimi traces Hermes not as a mythic relic but as a living archetypal force permeating systems of communication, commerce, and control. He connects Hermes' mythic role as a trickster, thief, and psychopomp to the linguistic manipulation and symbolic inversion witnessed during the pandemic. The discussion moves fluidly through classical myth, the origins of ritual sacrifice, and Crimi's personal awakening during the social response to COVID mandates. Crimi views Hermes not only as a historical deity but as an active metaphysical principle that continues to shape our perceptions, boundaries, and beliefs—especially in moments of collective crisis.Where to get the book:Logosophia Books:https://logosophiabooks.comHow to find Steve:Steve's SubstackMy personal SubstackBy Steve and Krys CrimiKrystina Crimi at Fine Art America:https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/krystina-crimiKrystina Crimi at Etsy:https://www.etsy.com/shop/PhilosophyFarm?ref=related&listing_id=1199682791#itemsPodcasts:https://logosophiabooks.com/podcasts/Send us a textVisit http://www.magicalegyptwomen.comor http://www.magicalegypt.comGet the latest updates on our link tree https://linktr.ee/magicalegypt.com Connect https://www.facebook.com/vanesemcneill Own Magical Egypt http://www.magicalegypt.com Get Heka https://wow.magicalegyptstore.com/heka Become a Patron https://www.patreon.com/magicalegypt
While many of us are prone to a faulty and often crippling belief that our lives can't change unless we make radical changes, we might find ourselves scoffing at the idea that miniscule adjustments can make dramatic shifts. On today's episode of Success is Subjective, you'll hear the powerful and inspiring story of keynote speaker, Jon Paul Crimi and the ways in which his life has changed dramatically, largely thanks to a consistent practice of breathwork. Growing up in Irish gang territory on the south shore of Massachusetts, where fighting and crime were a part of everyday life, no one would have predicted that Jon Paul Crimi's life would forever be changed through the simple yet profound practice of breathwork. Today, Jon Paul sits down with Joanna to share how he went from substance use disorder and working alongside gang members, to later traveling the world as a coach for prominent celebrity figures such Justin Bieber and Jon Paul's dear friend, the late Matthew Perry. Through a beautiful combination of authenticity, humor and a no BS approach, Jon Paul's message today will surely leave you with a refreshed and hopeful outlook on life. Presentator is Jeroen Kelderman. Welcome to "On Meaning." Today with Tamir Dortal and Heather Mac Donald, we'll dive into a topic that's on everyone's mind yet isn't often deeply explored.Do you ever wonder why there are so few black people in executive positions? Why is this considered rasicim, while large numbers of Asians in advanced math and science high schools, is? Heather Mac Donald, author of the new book "When Race Trumps Merit." She asks challenging questions about what truly lies behind these issues. Is it in fact racism which leads to these disparities, or is there something else accuring? Are we putting too much emphasis on race and not enough on merit? How is this affecting our schools, jobs, police forces, and even our art, music, and culture? Most importantly, what will happen to our society if we continue down this path?Heather's book is bold and thought-provoking. it may challenge what you thought you know about race and success in America.Join us today as we ask difficult questions, explore different points of view, and try to understand what's really at the heart of these complex issues. It's a conversation you won't want to miss.
The simple act of breathing is much more complex than you may realize. We just simply take it for granted.Crossing cultural boundaries and spanning as far back as you could imagine, breath has been revered as the bridge between the physical and spiritual realms. From the yogic pranayama of ancient India to the rhythmic chants in Native American ceremonies, breath has always been harnessed as a catalyst for transformation and connection. Scientific studies are piling up that unravel the profound physiological, psychological, emotional and spiritual benefits of conscious breathing. It's a resilient and multifaceted practice that has found its place as a revolutionary tool for healing and enhanced well-being in the modern world. After experiencing immediate breakthroughs in just one class, Clairannoyance co-hosts Megan and Ryan sat down with world renowned breathwork instructor Jon Paul Crimi to learn more about his background and unique approach. Jon Paul infuses his contagious, unabashed personality into his work while paying great respect to breathwork as an ancient practice. His no-nonsense attitude both in and out of class is rare to find; he is not your stereotypical New Age teacher, and this is not a "woo woo" class. (Which is to say, this is a gold star standard for Clairannoyance.)Tune in as Megan and Ryan share about their consciousness-altering breathwork experience, learn from Jon Paul about his unique style of "conscious connected breathing" or "circular breathing," and discover all sorts of unexpected bits of wisdom, like why you should never hand a tissue to someone who is crying. Let them ugly cry. If they want the tissue they'll get it!In all seriousness, we do not endorse lightly. This is the only breathwork instructor we could image going to. We are immediately incorporating breathwork into our routine. Please consider signing up for a class (more info below). If you're currently breathing, you need to see what you're missing out on. » Moog Plalylist- Hot Butter, « Popcorn », Popcorn, Interfusion/Musicor, 1972.- Mahavishnu Orchestra, « Birds of Fire », Birds of Fire, Columbia Records, 1973 - Donna Summer, « I Feel Love », I Remember Yesterday, Casablanca Records, 1977.- Kraftwerk, « Autobahn », Autobahn, Vertigo Records, 1974- Hal Blaine, « Love-In (December) », Psychedelic Percussion, Dunhill, 1967.

Criminals hurt their victims with no concern for the physical and psychological damage the assault causes. Instead, they are only concerned about one person, themselves. Let's examine how Id, Ego and Superego figures into criminal behaviors. What does this 100-year-old theory tell us about the psychology of the human predator? ✅All criminal behavior is manifest through overt actions. Sigmund Freud gave us a foundational understanding of the choice process of Id, Ego and SuperEgo. Watch this great lesson on the subject. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRtIt... ✅To further illustrate how Id, Ego and SuperEgo fit into criminal justice scenarios, read this short article titled, “Criminology: Intellectual History,” exploring these psychological theories. https://law.jrank.org/pages/912/Crimi... =======================================

Peter Crimi is one of the most inspirational humans Karianne and I have ever met. His story is beyond surviving against the odds of his first 72 hours. Beyond persevering against the Sisyphean like disease of spastic cerebral palsy. Beyond the impressive feats of body and mind like doing the Boston Frogman 5k swim. His story is that of how beautiful the human spirit is and how incredible our journey can be. His story is about truly living. Support the show
