During Operation Metro Surge, thousands of people detained by federal immigration agents ended up getting put on a plane and flown to detention centers out of state. According to an analysis by Sahan Journal, 3,400 people were flown to Texas. And as of early March, 530 remained there. It's unclear now how many are still in detention today. One detainee's experience has gotten the attention of lawmakers. First reported by the Minnesota Reformer, Andrea Pedro-Francisco of Burnsville has a tennis ball-sized ovarian cyst. She was scheduled to have surgery to treat the cyst, but was detained days before it could happen. While in ICE detention, Andrea says she has not gotten the medical care she needs for her cyst. Democrat U.S. Representative Angie Craig, whose district includes Burnsville, went down to visit Andrea at Camp East Montana in El Paso, Texas, on Monday. Congresswomen Angie Craig talked to MPR News host Nina Moini about her visit.

In this episode of Hot Topics in Cosmetic Medicine, Dr. Anthony Youn is joined by dermatologist Dr. Emily Levin to break down what's actually worth your time and money in today's rapidly evolving aesthetics world. They kick things off with a surprisingly relatable skin condition, the “dilated pore of Winer,” explaining what causes it, when to leave it alone, and when it's time to remove it for good. From there, they dive into one of the biggest skincare myths, can you actually shrink your pores? The answer might surprise you. They walk through what truly works, what's overhyped, and how to build a routine that improves the appearance of pores without wasting money. Plus, they discuss why hands often reveal age faster than the face, sparked by recent attention on Kris Jenner, and what you can actually do to treat them safely.
I talk about a cyst in a bad place, if Jim Carey's a clone, why parents should stay off social media, and more.

In this eye-opening episode, our guests share their firsthand experiences with various types of abscesses and cysts that led them to the brink of medical emergencies. Spearheading the episode with a story about a tooth abscess that threatened vision, the conversation highlights the commonality and often underestimated severity of these conditions. From draining cysts repeatedly to experiencing MRSA outbreaks, our guests provide gripping accounts of how these conditions impacted their daily lives and mental resilience. Listeners will find themselves gripped by tales like Rob's, whose cyst turned into a painful journey culminating in a lifelong scar, and another Brian who braves a recurrent knee cyst due to his past in the carpet business. Delve into Rob's story of a polynidal cyst that required multiple surgeries, leading to a deeper understanding of how these physical ailments can become more than just skin-deep concerns. This episode sheds light on the importance of early detection, treatment, and even vigilance regarding personal and pet health. Noteworthy is the humorous yet sobering storytelling that casts a light on the lesser-discussed topic of abscesses and infections. With accounts of trials faced and the ultimate healing process, the episode serves as an informative yet engaging discussion that both educates and entertains. Whether you're facing a similar ordeal or are simply curious about the human body's surprising behavior, this episode promises unique insights and expert advice.

Born and raised in the mountains of rural northwest Georgia, Chadd grew up obsessed with becoming a SEAL, but when the Navy discovered a rare but asymptomatic cyst on his heart, he was disqualified from entering BUD/s. Chadd refused to give up, ultimately tracking down a surgeon willing to perform a procedure deemed too risky by every cardiologist he previously petitioned. Cyst successfully removed, Chadd went on to realize his SEAL dream, serving over the next decade as a Team Leader on multiple deployments to conflict zones across the world. He became a SEAL instructor. A Master Training Specialist. Chadd even served a stint as President Obama's bodyguard. Along the way, he battled PTSD and traumatic brain injury. Now retired from the military, Chadd has found new life as an elite ultramarathoner — a spiritual quest for self-knowledge and mind-body mastery that has compelled him to tackle some of the world's most insane endurance slogs like The Revenant — a 118-mile footrace across south New Zealand with over 52,000 feet of elevation gain that not one person has ever successfully completed. Jo Jo Siwa BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.JoJo Siwa is still very much in recovery mode after a scary health scare that landed her in the emergency room just hours before her Black Friday performance at the Mall of America. According to HuffPost and AOL coverage of her own TikTok update, Siwa experienced excruciating stomach pain that got so bad she couldn't breathe, started blacking out, and couldn't even get dressed after a bath. Her mom called 911 and paramedics rushed her to the hospital where an ultrasound revealed a burst ovarian cyst bleeding into her abdomen. Doctors told her it should resolve on its own but she's not fully in the clear yet, as she later clarified in a follow-up post reported by the New Zealand Herald. She credits strong pain medication with helping her feel good enough to dance in the hospital bed, and she joked that the medical team moved unusually fast—maybe because some of them had daughters going to her show.Despite the pain, Siwa pushed through and performed at the Mall of America, showing her trademark resilience. She's been open with fans, using TikTok to explain that knowing the diagnosis brought her peace of mind even though the physical recovery is ongoing. The Mayo Clinic notes that while most ovarian cysts are harmless, a rupture can cause significant internal bleeding, especially with vigorous activity, which may be relevant given her high-energy performances. On the professional front, Siwa is staying active with live appearances. Eventbrite lists her upcoming event at Aspirations Dance Company in Lombard, Illinois on December 3, where she led a dance class to her new holiday song “Message to the World” and hosted a VIP meet and greet. This fits her pattern of blending fan engagement with performance, a strategy that's helped build her brand beyond music and TV.Socially, she's still linked with British TV personality Chris Hughes, her Celebrity Big Brother co-star, with recent coverage from AOL noting their red carpet debut together at the Dancers Against Cancer Gala of the Stars. There's no new official relationship update, but their public appearances together continue to fuel fan interest.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI
Jo Jo Siwa BioSnap a weekly updated Biography. This is Biosnap AI. JoJo Siwa has had a genuinely dramatic few days, the kind that end up as real biographical turning points. According to Parade and multiple local news outlets, she was rushed to the ER in Minnesota with what doctors found to be a ruptured ovarian cyst that was bleeding into her stomach, after she experienced excruciating pain, trouble breathing, and near blackouts just hours before a scheduled Mall of America show. She told fans in a TikTok video that she could barely stand and thought the pain would pass, but it escalated so fast she had to call 911. ER staff cleared her medically stable within about two hours, and in a move that headlines framed as equal parts heroic and alarming, she went ahead and performed the show that same day at Mall of America. KOMO News and other Sinclair stations ran with the story under the headline JoJo Siwa hospitalized over excruciating pain before show I couldnt breathe, underscoring the seriousness of the scare. Days later, Parade and AOL Entertainment report that she posted a longer Instagram update, telling followers she is doing better but not in the clear, acknowledging a fever afterward and emphasizing that shes on strict rest and electrolytes while scheduling a follow up exam. On the career side, she is very much not slowing down. Her new holiday single Message to the World Little Drummer Girl was just debuted live at Mall of America, with Siwa telling fans in a YouTube upload that the performance was a special moment and the start of her holiday era. She is now anchoring a mini run of branded live events. Eventbrite listings show back to back JoJo Siwa VIP experiences: a December 3 dance class and meet and greet at Aspirations Dance Company in Lombard Illinois, and a December 4 Raiderettes event in Henderson Nevada, each built around teaching choreography to the new holiday song, selfies, fan Q and As, and on site merchandise sales. These are small but telling business moves, reinforcing her post Nickelodeon strategy of direct to fan events and self driven music promotion. Wikipedia and recent tabloid coverage still loop her into the longer arc of rebranding controversy around her Karma era and rumored label issues, but there are no credible new reports in the last few days on that front. Social media chatter has been dominated by concern over her health and admiration for her finishing the Mall of America show; some fans question whether pushing through pain sets a dangerous example, though this is commentary rather than confirmed reporting.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI

Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend! I'm looking forward to sharing with you some of our community's questions that have come in over the past few weeks… Gaby: Hello Dr. Cabral, Thanks for your work you're doing! And sorry for the long question. I am a 19 year old female, and have been struggling with gut issues since I was a baby. Bloating, constipation, diarrhea, gas, nausea, and so forth. I have had functional medicine and conventional bloodwork done. My progesterone tested low and also my estrogen was low. I have the symptoms of very high androgens/testosterone, despite conventional testing showing normal levels. Been diagnosed with low cortisol/adrenal fatigue. My thyroid panels are good. I have struggled with very low B12 vitamins (maybe from not knowing that I had MTHFR). I've had severe menstrual cramps ever since getting married recently. I can't afford more testing, but am wondering how this all connects? Liz: Hi Dr. Cabral, I have a very large fluid-filled, non-malignant cyst on my thyroid. When I swallow it looks like a golf ball is in there. Doctor said it's nothing to worry about. All my thyroid labs, including antibodies, came back normal. Food sensitivity test I had a couple years ago showed dairy and eggs being a problem and they were a big part of my diet for the past couple of years until recently. Am currently in week 1 of your 21 Day Detox. My question is, is there any way to shrink or eliminate the cyst without having a procedure? Thanks! Noah: Hi Dr. Cabral, I'm 24 and recently recovered from mono, but I've been feeling exhausted ever since—almost like my body can't fully bounce back. My doctor says it's just "post-viral fatigue," but I'm wondering if there's more to it, like EBV reactivation or mitochondrial depletion. What would be your next step to rebuild energy naturally? Eleazar: Hello dr cabral i have a question about my post viral pots i have been dealing with since January of 2024 and how you would try to fix it. my question is if a viral infection which are normal and everyone gets caused this autoimmune reaction what exactly would u target to fix the autoimmunity if the virus is gone and there isnt much to remove unlike other cases of autoimmunity where a gut dysbiosis or heavy metals is causing the disease u know what to remove I hope that makes sense thank you for your time and videos u put they are very informative Eleazar: Hello dr Cabral i have another question regarding autoimmune disease i am a 21 year old male and soon i will be fixing all my root causes for my suspected autoimmune pots disease. I have completed the big 5 but my question is will i ever be able to drink alcohol again like beer for example or will it always be a risk for reactivating the autoimmune disease i see many functional medicine doctors say only 1-2 beverages but does it really have to be just that amount or can u drink more also i heard u mentioned binge drinking can cause epigenetic immune shift what exactly is that and can it be fixed and if i do drink will i need to avoid eating fast food at the same time even if its on occasion.thank you for the amazing videos u do Thank you for tuning into this weekend's Cabral HouseCalls and be sure to check back tomorrow for our Mindset & Motivation Monday show to get your week started off right! - - - Show Notes and Resources: StephenCabral.com/3579 - - - Get a FREE Copy of Dr. Cabral's Book: The Rain Barrel Effect - - - Join the Community & Get Your Questions Answered: CabralSupportGroup.com - - - Dr. Cabral's Most Popular At-Home Lab Tests: > Complete Minerals & Metals Test (Test for mineral imbalances & heavy metal toxicity) - - - > Complete Candida, Metabolic & Vitamins Test (Test for 75 biomarkers including yeast & bacterial gut overgrowth, as well as vitamin levels) - - - > Complete Stress, Mood & Metabolism Test (Discover your complete thyroid, adrenal, hormone, vitamin D & insulin levels) - - - > Complete Food Sensitivity Test (Find out your hidden food sensitivities) - - - > Complete Omega-3 & Inflammation Test (Discover your levels of inflammation related to your omega-6 to omega-3 levels) - - - Get Your Question Answered On An Upcoming HouseCall: StephenCabral.com/askcabral - - - Would You Take 30 Seconds To Rate & Review The Cabral Concept? Story at-a-glance Most ovarian cysts are harmless and disappear naturally, but some cause severe complications like rupture or twisting the ovary, requiring emergency surgery Vegetable oils like canola and sunflower act as fake estrogens, damaging ovarian tissue and fueling cyst formation due to linoleic acid content PCOS drives recurring cysts through hormonal chaos, particularly insulin resistance and elevated estrogen that disrupts normal ovarian function and cycles Natural pain relief includes heat therapy, massage and gentle movement, while chamomile and ginger teas help reduce inflammation and balance hormones Prevention focuses on eliminating vegetable oils, addressing insulin resistance and considering natural progesterone to restore hormonal balance and stop cyst recurrence
