The professional wrestler is best known for his stint in Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), where he was a five-time World Heavyweight Champion. 

The professional wrestler, who competed in regional promotions across North America (mostly in the Midwest and Northeast), was known for wearing a moose head to the ring and giving a "moose call" before matches.

Utilizing a pig-farmer gimmick, the professional wrestling team, comprising of Mark Canterbury (Henry O. Godwinn) and Dennis Knight (Phineas I. Godwinn), were two-time tag team champions in the World Wrestling Federation. 

The pro wrestler and boxer was the creator of the Catch Wrestling Association in Austria, and briefly worked in America, in the AWA under Verne Gagne. 

Kelly Ward was a 3x finalist and an NCAA champion for Iowa State. He was also voted the most outstanding wrestler of the NCAA tournament in 1979. Kelly had 6 epic battles with the great Lee Kemp and posted an amazing record of 126-9. He defeated the great Dave Schultz, he was an assistant coach at Nebraska, he coached Olympians, he was a secret service agent, his dad was a legendary football player, the man is a damn champion. I had a lot of fun getting to know him some and hearing some great stories.

Roger Frizzell was a 4 time All American at The University of Oklahoma. He finished 4, 3, 3, 3 under the tutelage of Stan Abel and is still one of OU's best pinners all time. Roger was also teammates with the legendary Schultz brothers Mark and Dave as well as Andre Metzger and Jim Humphrey. Not only was Roger an outstanding wrestler but his PR and marketing skills were instrumental in Keeping wrestling as an Olympic sport. It was an absolute pleasure to talk to him.

The youngest son of WWE Hall of Famer "Bullet" Bob Armstrong is best known for his initial tenure with the company, wrestling as The Roadie and then "Road Dogg" Jesse James. He currently serves as WWE's Senior Vice President of Live Events, and as a commentator on WWE Main Event. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2019 as a member of D-Generation X. 

Considered one of the most famous high-flying wrestlers in history, the son of "Wild Bull" Curry once threw 15 to 20 dropkicks in a matter of 10 seconds.

The onetime WWF Women's Champion, trained by The Fabulous Moolah, competed in not only the WWF but other promotions as well, including the AWA and WCW.

The four-time NWA Women's World Tag Team Champion served as The Fabulous Moolah's right-hand woman at her training school.

A major figure in wrestling's territorial era, the multiple-time heavyweight, tag team, and brass knuckles champion worked for such promotions as the NWA and the WWF, where he served as manager for Shawn Michaels.

Considered one of the worst gimmicks in the history of pro wrestling, the character (portrayed by Héctor Guerrero donning a turkey costume) made its debut at the 1990 WWF Survivor Series.

I could not have enjoyed a wrestling podcast more than I did this one. Gary Mayabb is in the Missouri Hall of Fame. He Officiated for 38 years, He won 7 Missouri State Titles at two different schools. His teams placed in the top 3 nineteen times. He coached some of the absolute best in Missouri history, a state with an outstanding tradition producing 43 state champs, and 143 placers. On the Greco side he coached 17 National Champions and 71 All Americans. Coach Mayabb is now an associate head coach at Iowa for the womens team. He is also a great Husband, father, mentor, and wrestling historian. This conversation left no doubt in my mind as to why he has had so much success. Gary Mayabb is a salt of the earth person.

An underrated figure in women's wrestling, the multiple-time women's world champion had some major success in territorial promotions.

On October 4, 1975, a small twin-engine Cessna 310, en route from Charlotte to Wilmington, North Carolina, crashed just short of the airport runway. Ric Flair, Bob Bruggers, Johnny Valentine, and Tim Woods (Mr. Wrestling) all suffered serious injuries, David Crockett being the least injured. Mike Farkas, the pilot, was the only non-survivor.

One of wrestling's most controversial personalities, the member of the kayfabe Anderson family (also known as the Minnesota Wrecking Crew) was one of the founders of the Four Horsemen stable.

Known for his tenures in WWE, particularly as leader of the Wyatt Family faction, the onetime amateur wrestler and college football player – given name Windham Rotunda – followed in the footsteps of his grandfather Blackjack Mulligan, his father Mike Rotunda, and uncles Barry and Kendall Windham. He died of a heart attack in August at the age of 36.

The two-time WWF Tag Team Champion was part of the Hart wrestling family through marriage to his wife Ellie Hart, teaming with various members (including brother-in-law Bret Hart) throughout his career.

The WWE Hall of Famer would become known for his unique promos, charisma, and the uses of psychology during matches and the DDT finishing move.

Tim Vanni made 7 World Teams and 2 Olympic teams . 88 and 92. He once went 4 years without losing to an American, He won 8 national freestyle championships at 105.5. One of the most entertaining weight classes of all time. He trained and went to war with some all time greats. Tim Vanni is a USA wrestling legend and Hall of Famer, also a longtime coach with a wealth of knowledge. Seems like a super nice guy too. Was an honor to talk to him.

This is the second interview with one of my childhood heroes Eric Akin. Eric was a beast on the mat and an inspiration off of it. 7x State Champ. 4 kids and 3 High school. Junior National Champion, 4x D1 All American and NCAA finalist for Iowa State. He made world teams as a cadet, Junior and on the senior level as well as being a 2x Olympic Alternate. He's in the National wrestling Hall of fame in Stilllwater and more importantly he's an outstanding coach, husband and father of 4. We cover a lot of ground in this podcast and I can't tell you how many more questions went un asked. We will have to do a part 3 for sure. One of my favorite guys to interview.

Aaron Hodges was a 2 time undefeated Kansas state champ, (70-0) He was also a Fargo and High School All American before going on to start 4 years at Northwestern.
