VR lebt! Wir hatten in den vergangenen Geektalks oft über die Probleme mit VR gesprochen. Auch im Bereich Gaming war der Markt etwas mau, aber nach Firewall Zero Hour kommt nun ein richtiger Kracher auf die Playstation VR: Astro bot Rescue Mission! Oft schon als das “Super Mario” des VR bezeichnet, ist das Spiel ein großer Spaß mit toller Steuerung, Optik und fantastischen Ideen. Matze hat sich für Euch durch das Spiel gezockt. Fehler oder Absicht? Sony bringt ein neues Firmware-Update für die Alpha 7 (R) III und das stößt einigen Nutzern ganz übel auf. Offenbar kommt es bei manchen Zubehör Akkus zu Problemen. Die Kamera spielt Warnmeldungen aus oder versagt komplett den Dienst. Vergleicht man die Preise von Original und Zubehör Akkus, stellt man fest, dass es sich durchaus lohnen kann, zu günstigeren zu greifen und damit macht sich der Hersteller sicher keine Freunde. Mal schauen, wie es damit weiter geht. Rampage-Hirnlose Games Verfilmung? Ein Videospiel, in dem es um übergroße Affen, Ratten oder ein Krokodil geht, die Gebäude zerstören, zu verfilmen, das klingt nach Popcornkino mit wenig Handlung. Ist es auch! Rampage unterhält aber trotzdem mit einem spaßigen Dwayne Johnson in der Hauptrolle und macht dann doch irgendwie Spaß. Neuer Mod für GTA5 GTA 5 ist unterdessen in die Jahre gekommen. Zwar bricht das Spiel noch regelmäßig Verkaufsrekorde und führt Ranglisten in Sachen Verkaufszahlen an, doch es ist einfach von 2013 und seit dem hat sich viel getan. Das sieht man GTA5 auch an. Mit dem neuen Mod PhotoRealistic San Andreas könnte sich das jetzt ändern. Dank vielen neuen Techniken, schafft es das Spiel um Welten besser aussehen lässt. Die Performance soll dabei sogar recht gut sein und mit der original Version vergleichbar sein. Profitieren können davon leider nur PC Gamer, denn GTA lässt sich ausschließlich auf dem PC modden. Cypress Hill – Elephants on acid Das neue Album der LA Kiffer Kombo ist nun seit Ende September raus. Matze hat für Euch als eingefleischter Fan reingehört und muss sagen, dass es leider die Erwartungen nicht erfüllt. Die ein oder andere gute Nummer gibt es aber trotzdem. Crazy Amiibo light Nintendos Amibos kann man sicher gut kritisieren. Sie sind teuer und schalten Sachen frei, die man in vielen Spielen sonst nicht bekommt. Damit ist es mit 60€ für das Spiel nicht getan, sondern man muss zusätzlich investieren. Bei Zelda z.B. gibt es über 20 Amiibos. Einfach ausleihen und nutzen geht nicht, denn man kann jeden Tag erneut gratis Sachen abstauben und einige Dinge werden nach Zufall vergeben, so dass man das Amiibo wirklich öfter braucht. Eine Lösung sind da die Amiibo Karten, die auf eBay verfügbar sind. Das sind kleine NFC Karten, die den Chip aus den original Figuren kopiert haben und als Set verkauft werden. Neue Details zum Apple Streamingdienst? Dass Apple einen Streamingdienst starten wird, scheint nun fast sicher zu sein. Gespräche mit Lizenzhändlern laufen bereits und nun gibt es neue Details: so sollen Apple Geräte nutzen Zugriff auf Eigenproduktionen bekommen, der Content an sich frei von Sex & Crime sein. Wir sind gespannt ob Apple neben iTunes, App Store und Apple Music einen neuen Dienst erfolgreich starten kann. Nerds gegen Essensverschwendung Letzte Episode haben wir über die Nachteile von Crowdfunding gesprochen, dieses mal haben wir wieder ein cooles Projekt. Silo ist ein auf den ersten Blick sehr gut durchdachtes Vakuumiergerät, das zum einen auch Sachen vakuumieren kann, woran andere scheitern, es lässt sich aber auch platzsparend wegklappen und ist Alexa kompatibel. Klingt fast zu gut, um wahr zu sein. Microsoft Project xCloud Spielestreaming gibt es bereits, Sony macht dies z.B. mit Playstation Now. Nun will auch Microsoft einen Streamingservice an den Start bringen, der aber nicht zwingend eine Xbox oder einen PC voraussetzt, sondern mit Smartphone oder Tablets funktionieren soll. Wir sind gespannt wie die technischen Fragen gelöst werden.

In dieser Folge des Podcasts "Dirty Minds Left" trinken Holger und Arne den Energy-Drink Bio-Hex und besprechen das Spiel "Superbad Puncher". Der Energy-Drink enthält 80 mg Koffein pro Dose, was 32 mg pro 100 ml Koffein ausmacht. Sie stellen ihren Zuhörern eine Rechenaufgabe, um herauszufinden, wie groß die Dose ist. Sie beschreiben den Geschmack des Drinks, der nach Minze schmeckt, was auf das enthaltene Pfefferminzextrakt zurückzuführen ist. Arne dagegen passt seine Halterungen für verschiedene Raumschiffe an und plant, sie alle an die Wand zu hängen. Beide sind von der Einfachheit und der Faszination des 3D-Drucks begeistert. Des Weiteren sprechen Holger und Arne über ihre aktuellen Videospielprojekte. Holger berichtet, dass er seinen neuen Super Pocket von Hyper Megatech erhalten hat und gerade dabei ist, Halterungen dafür zu drucken. Er möchte diese Halterungen an einem Brett befestigen, um zu verhindern, dass seine Tochter auf den Dachboden klettert. Arne hat mit seinem 3D-Drucker einen neuen Plastikhalter für sein Mikrofon gedruckt. Sie diskutieren auch über das Videospiel "Tears of the Kingdom", das sie derzeit gemeinsam spielen. Holger zielt darauf ab, die Hauptgeschichte abzuschließen, während Arne versucht, alle Klamotten im Spiel zu sammeln. Sie tauschen ihre Erfahrungen und Strategien aus und diskutieren über die verschiedenen Aspekte des Spiels. Schließlich sprechen Holger und Arne über die Diskussionen zu den James Cameron Filmen in ihrem Podcast. Arne gesteht, dass er den aktuellen Film, den sie besprechen, noch nicht gesehen hat, während Holger auch keine große Lust darauf hat. Sie sprechen auch über ihre Nutzung von Amiibos im Videospiel "Tears of the Kingdom" und wie sie verschiedene Belohnungen damit erhalten können. Abschließend planen Holger und Arne, sich nächste Woche erneut zu treffen und ihre Fortschritte in den verschiedenen Projekten zu besprechen.
