Greg Flammang and Jamie Uyeyama give a final look at Notre Dame vs NC State and the 29 point victory by the Irish. It was a stellar performance by the defense for the third game in a row, in what Marcus Freeman called their best game to date by that unit. CJ Carr passed for 342 yards, but short yardage and red zone struggles continued, leaving the game in doubt for longer than fans would have liked.

The Irish then began to pull away late in the 3rd quarter behind some CJ Carr touchdown passes. Check out the show to hear what the staff thought about the game.

Jamie Uyeyama and Greg Flammang of Irish Sports Daily preview and make predictions for the upcoming matchup between Notre Dame and NC State in Notre Dame Stadium. The Wolfpack have a high powered offense led by quarterback CJ Bailey and running back Hollywood Smothers. The Irish defense has improved over the last three games, but will be tested again by an offense averaging 34 points a game. The Notre Dame offense figures to have a significant advantage over the NC State defense, which has surrendered 25 points a game and face an Irish offense that is explosive and efficient with CJ Carr at QB and Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price at running back.

Just like Europe went on the road and won a Ryder Cup in hostile territory last weekend, there was some elite quarterback play on the road from a handful of guys who get praise on today's show. Dante Moore, Julian Sayin, Ty Simpson, and CJ Carr all had to get it done away from home - and just like Europe - they did the thing. Don't worry, this is not a golf show. Far from it. Wayne empties the notebook on his observations from the good quarterback play (and the bad - see Drew Allar), plus we get into the week 6 card with Phil Steele who gets choked up talking about Vanderbilt football. Greg Flammang and Jamie Uyeyama of Irish Sports Daily preview and make predictions on Notre Dame's upcoming matchup against the Purdue Boilermakers in Notre Dame stadium. The Irish are heavy favorites but are reeling from an 0-2 start with major questions on their defense. The offense under rookie quarterback CJ Carr played well against the top 10 Aggies, and running backs Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price were excellent, they will look to continue that trend against their first unranked opponent since the end of 2024.

Greg Flammang is back from South Bend and provides his next day thoughts on Notre Dame's devastating loss in the final seconds to Texas A&M. The Irish defense was leaking heavy oil in the passing game against the Aggies, surrendering 360 passing yards on just 17 completions and allowing 41 points. Notre Dame's offense was a bright spot, with Jeremiyah Love, Jadarian Price, and CJ Carr playing starring starring roles, but it wasn't enough to stave off the Aggies.

Greg Flammang of Irish Sports Daily provides commentary and analysis the morning after Notre Dame's 27-24 loss to Miami in Hard Rock Stadium. It was a game the Irish were never in control of and couldn't take advantage of the momentum they'd built at various points to take the lead. CJ Carr was impressive in his debut, but the Irish needed more from their veteran offensive skill talent to help him along. Plus, a look at the defense, their lack of havoc plays, and what they need to do to create more negatives for the offense. Miami didn't gash Notre Dame, but they weren't uncomfortable often enough. New defensive coordinator Chris Ash needs to solve that problem against Texas A&M.
