This one right here… is special. I sat down with one of the biggest influences on my journey — Alan Weiss, the author of Million Dollar Consulting. This is the guy who literally wrote the book on how to build a business around your expertise. I read this book 4 times. If you're a coach, consultant, speaker or just someone trying to turn what you know into impact , you need to hear this. We talked about everything from the truth behind Napoleon Hill to why you don't need an office, a big team, or even a website to become a go-to authority. Alan drops game on what it really takes to become a Million Dollar Consultant. We get into: Why overhead is the enemy of freedomHow to raise your fees without flinchingThe real reason most experts stay invisibleHow to position your value without overexplainingWhat “scope seep” is — and how it's costing you This conversation was an honor for me. If you've ever felt like you're great at what you do but still not getting the recognition or income you deserve, this one's for you. If it resonates, I'd be super grateful if you shared it with a friend or dropped a rating. That's what helps the show grow. How Bad Do You Really Want It? A lot of people say they want success. They want the million-dollar business, the dream career, the freedom. But when you start asking questions—What's your plan? What's your work ethic? Are you putting in the time?—things start to fall apart. I've been there. I used to listen to Eric Thomas talking about how you have to want success as bad as you want to breathe. That hit me hard—because when I was struggling with depression, I wanted to get better more than anything. I set an intention. I committed to the process. Meditation saved me. And now, I think about that same level of commitment when it comes to business, personal growth, and every goal I set. So I'll ask you: How bad do you really want it? ✅ Are you setting intentions—or just hoping it happens? ✅ Are you treating it like a hobby or something you can't live without? ✅ Do you want it as bad as you want to breathe? This is exactly what I talk about in my latest podcast episode. If you've ever struggled with motivation, consistency, or pushing past obstacles—this one is for you.

This episode is personal. For as long as I can remember, I've felt everything—other people's pain, frustration, and sadness. If someone around me was struggling, I carried that weight too. I thought it was just part of being a good person, a good leader. But at some point, I realized… too much empathy can actually hold you back. Recently, my daughter asked me a simple question that forced me to reflect: What are you proud of? Her follow-up question made me take an even deeper look at myself, my leadership, and how I handle emotions. In this episode, I open up about: How extreme empathy has affected my leadership, decision-making, and personal growthWhy we struggle to accept compliments and recognize our own worthHow I've been learning to set emotional boundaries while still leading with heartThe challenges of entrepreneurship, mental health, and personal struggles I rarely talk about I know I'm not alone in this. In this deeply personal episode, I share a candid Q&A session that followed a recent webinar, offering insights into leadership and public speaking—an essential skill for any entrepreneur. But this episode is more than just about business; it's about overcoming the personal battles that test our limits. Recently, I faced a significant challenge when I discovered I have a chronic illness that affected my cognitive abilities. I had to relearn how to communicate effectively, how to speak succinctly, and how to lead even when my own voice felt uncertain. During this episode, you might notice that I spoke more slowly than usual. To be completely honest, as soon as the show was over, I forgot almost everything that was asked during the Q&A. Initially, I was embarrassed to share this. My ego kept telling me that I had lost the right to help others with their voice because I was slowly losing mine. This was a really tough moment for me. Knowing how to lead is one thing, but doing it while grappling with a brain that isn't cooperating is another challenge entirely. However, I realized that taking my own advice, being vulnerable, and sharing my struggles is part of what makes me a stronger leader. I'm sharing this episode not for sympathy, but to keep myself accountable—just as I encourage my friends in our community of introverted speakers to do. I'm proud of the progress I've made, and though it's been quite a ride, I continue to push forward. Key takeaways from this episode include: Entrepreneurial leadership: How mastering public speaking can elevate your business and personal brand, even in the face of personal challenges.Overcoming public speaking anxiety: Practical tips for entrepreneurs who struggle with stage fright or anxiety during presentations, especially when dealing with health issues.Leadership communication: Why clear and confident communication is vital for entrepreneurial success, and how to achieve it when your cognitive abilities are tested.Empowering introverted entrepreneurs: Strategies for leveraging your introversion to become a stronger, more effective leader, even when facing personal battles. Welcome to Leaders Lead Podcast. Today, I want to talk about purpose and how it can be discovered through pain. I truly believe that pain is the road to purpose, and joy is found when we help others find their purpose. I want to share my own story of how I found my purpose and hope that it will inspire others to reflect on their own struggles and use those experiences to help others. I was afraid of public speaking. But one day, I had to give a speech at work. I talked about the injustices that my colleagues were going through and assured them that I was working on it. I even went as far as to say that if anyone was going to get fired, it would be me. Afterward, a lady approached me and said that my speech had saved her life. She was thinking of quitting and taking her life due to her fear of losing her job, but my words brought her joy back. This experience moved me to pursue public speaking, even though I was still afraid. I was determined to follow what I believed God was telling me to do. Another pivotal moment for me was when I was about to give a speech to my daughter's class. I felt immense pressure not to disappoint her, so I prayed to God to make me the best motivational speaker I could be. I felt a tingling inside of my body, and for the next three years, my family went on a wild ride. We faced some of the biggest pains we had ever gone through, and my leadership as a father was tested like never before. But through it all, I realized that God had a bigger plan for me than I could have ever imagined and that speaking was just a part of it. My family has been through a difficult journey with our babies, who were diagnosed with a rare condition called pandas - a form of brain encephalitis caused by an infection or even just a common cold. Though it was a challenging time, I felt my leadership grow - both personally and externally - as I provided support for my wife and family. And now, I realize that my purpose is to use my experience to support other families who are going through similar situations, and to raise awareness so that no other babies have to go through what my babies went through. In conclusion, finding your purpose through pain is not an easy journey, but it is a necessary one. I encourage everyone to reflect on their own struggles and use those experiences to help others. We can all make a difference, one story at a time.If you enjoyed this episode and want to learn more, be sure to subscribe to our show on your favorite podcast platform. As an entrepreneur, I know firsthand how difficult it can be to stay motivated and focused, especially when faced with challenges and obstacles along the way. But here's the thing - the goals we set for ourselves may seem overwhelming and daunting, but we should never give up on them. It's important to push through the hard times and stay focused on what we want to achieve. We need to be resilient and not be discouraged by setbacks. I want you to use your current struggles as motivation to keep going. Remember why you started this endeavor in the first place and think about what you don't want to be. You are not a quitter, and you have something unique to offer to your business. So take the necessary steps to achieve your goals and stay focused and motivated throughout the process. I am inspired by a project that I am currently working on, and there have been moments of doubt. But if I give up now, I won't be able to see the potential of my idea and what could be accomplished. So I encourage you to persist with your work and never give up on your dreams. I want to take this opportunity to thank you for what you have already accomplished, what you are currently doing, and what you will do in the future. You are capable of achieving something great, so keep pushing forward and never give up. Tony Taylor explains that when he first started out, he was pitched new ideas all the time, but never actually listened to them because he knew he needed to have singular vision when it came to staring his business. Vision is important when it comes to making decisions and staying on track scaling and growing a business. Leaders must be able to see the big picture, anticipate potential problems, and make sure that the team is all on the same page. It is also important to have an open mind and be willing to adjust the vision as needed. Ultimately, having a strong vision can make all the difference in the success of a business. He explains that he knows this because he has given up on many things in his life, such as boxing, school, and many other endeavors. I believed in other people, sometimes more than I believed in myself, and I just championed them, and that was my deal. But when I went on my journey of self-discovery and I started asking myself these questions, these why questions, that's exactly what I came up with, was, I love to serve people so that they can fulfill their life's mission so that they can fulfill their goals or the goal that they have in life. The leaders that make a difference are the leaders that had a vision. A vision. Tony wants to ask you, and you could write this down if you're driving, don't write it down. Just remember to write it down. Write it down, scribe it in your mental, in your mind, but write down the thing that you envision, the thing that you want to come to fruition, the thing that you're willing to work hard for, the thing that you truly desire. But unless you need some ideas or you don't have any ideas, then yeah, go and talk to the person with a million of them. They'll give you one idea and you'll be able to 1000 ideas. You'll be able to pick one and really hone in on that one. Tony is talking about vision. Vision is seeing the things that cannot be seen, seeing the things that aren't there. And that's what makes the difference between a leader in an organization, and a leader of some of these different countries.
