On this weeks episode we are joined by Jessica Baum. Jessicas journey to becoming a psychotherapist started when she was just a little girl. She would always ask the question “why?” Why was this happening? Or Why do I feel like this? Growing up and experiencing the highs and lows of life, Jessica was inspired to complete studies in mental health counseling. Specialising in psychodrama and experiential therapy, whilst also practicing cognitive therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, EMDR therapy and Post Induction Therapy. Jessica then became a certified Imago Therapist (relationship modality therapist) and an addiction specialist focused on chemical abuse, dependency, co-dependency, and anxiety. I created the Relationship Institute of Palm Beach to help establish healthier relationships between individuals. This practice sees clients in person. I created Be Self-full® to offer coaching and transformational online courses which address relationship issues from a coaching perspective and allows our team to effectively help individuals worldwide. A note form Harriet: "As Kristen Scott Thomas so beautifully reminded us in Fleabag, “Women are born with pain built in… it's our physical destiny”. Women are inevitably faced with a series of daunting life phases from menstruation through motherhood to menopause, with no guidebook to smooth the way. Instead, we are met with debilitating pressure society heaps on us to be the ‘perfect woman'. An illusion that only leads to self-criticism and self-sabotage, subliminally striving to be an idealised version of ourselves. My 20s were the darkest and most bewildering times of her life. I struggled to navigate the complexities of becoming a woman, reliving unhealed wounds and often finding myself in a crisis of self-worth and self-awareness. I suppressed whatever I was feeling by any means possible, neglecting mind, body and soul daily. I felt misunderstood, isolated, and judged. Ultimately, I wasn't reassured of the normality of my thoughts and feelings because honestly, it was something society didn't deem to be significant at the time. It was hitting rock bottom that finally set me on my path to healing. Finding power in my pain, I sought to create what was glaringly missing. A digital sanctuary that supports women in all our unique situations, eliminating negative distractions and providing tangible pathways as we journey through the different phases of our lives. She has lectured worldwide in Skin Care Treatments, Nutrition and Advanced Consulting. Quoted in Porter magazine as a "Global Skin Expert", it is Marie's experience in progressive skin therapy and advanced holistic well being that has garnered her attention from beauty editors and celebrities alike worldwide. Her experience and extensive training across multiple areas over 35 years has lead her to view skin with an internal and external perspective. With this knowledge, she has evolved her treatments and is a leading practitioner in intuitive touch therapies such as Energy Therapy and Dermal Resonance. Marie practices from her purpose built clinic in Norfolk and also guests at Fortnum and Mason in Piccadilly London.
