In this episode, Layci interviews change consultant Carl King about his journey and the importance of navigating change. Carl shares his background and the various paths he has taken, including being a preacher and a professional musician. He emphasizes his purpose of helping people and being their best selves. The conversation then delves into the challenges of identity shifts and the impact they have on relationships. Carl discusses the role of leaders in guiding change and the importance of effective communication. He also confesses to not being a good communicator in the past and the complications it caused. Carl dives into a personal story about making assumptions and the importance of effective communication. He recounts a time when he assumed everyone in the church he was leading felt the same way about the church's mission, only to discover that there was a disconnect between his vision and the congregation's desires. This experience taught him the significance of clear communication and shared vision in leadership. Carl emphasizes the need for leaders to create awareness and build a hunger for change among their team members, rather than simply providing knowledge. He also highlights the importance of giving people time to process and accept change before taking action.EPISODE LINKS:https://www.carlkingcoaching.com/https://www.carlkingcoaching.com/bloghttps://www.instagram.com/carleking/?hl=enhttps://www.facebook.com/carleking2Confessions of a Terrible Leader is hosted by Layci Nelson and edited & produced by Fixation Point Productions. For May, we look at the steps we've taken to set up where we are today and focused on the ever dreaded yet present idea of "CHANGE." The Chapman Brothers Podcast is a monthly conversation between myself and my brother, Phillip Chapman. As always, thanks to Ty Garvey, Drew Mellon and the rest of Don Quixote's Horse for allowing their music to set the local tone for these podcasts.
How do we turn the inevitable into the Good? A talk from Rev. Dr. David Breeden. The post Change is Inevitable, Transformation is Not appeared first on First Unitarian Society of Minneapolis.
We all have a mission attached to our lives, hence the Lord showed up to restore us into His divine Oçhestrater purpose, so that we can fulfil this mission in a more fulfilling way. If we expect change, we seek the Lord and remain grounded on the basics upon which the word of God has outlined that we can use to receive, see, and experience this change..

This past week we had the opportunity to reflect on the power of an invitation, the changing of seasons, and the inevitability of change. How we handle these moments and how we choose to grow as an individual and in marriage determines so much. Don't let obstacles such as perfectionism, expectations, or fear stop you from leaving one season behind and approaching another, or from inviting people into your life to learn from and to mentor. Learn to pray, pivot, and grow with one another, and let God determine your steps. As always, we want to hear from you. I'm here to encourage you to embrace change. Change is going to happen. No one likes it, and especially in our business and with our marketing, change can really shake things up. It can make you nervous. It can make you feel fearful for the future. Just know it's a natural part of business. It's a natural part of your marketing process. It's a natural part as you grow, and you change, and you shift in your business. Once you're able to embrace that mindset, that change is just a part of the marketing process, it's a part of your business is a part of life, then you're going to just go more easy on yourself as those changes happen, you'll be able to adapt better, you'll be able to think of things a little bit differently and you know, not be so set in your ways of doing things a certain way. So, remember change is going to happen. Will you embrace it?

Today I'm joined by my good buddy Eddie Claypool. Eddie has been chasing DIY hunts and animals across the country since the late 70's. You could say he's the original DIY bowhunter. He's lived the hay day of whitetail hunting in the midwest and hunted the best of the west for the better part of 40 years. Even though DIY blood runs through his veins, he's changed his approach the past few years - time changes everyone and everything. You could say he pauses now to smell the roses. There's wisdom in experience and age. And sometimes the best wisdom has less to do with how to fill tags and more to do with the importance of being in the moment…maybe it's a cautionary tale of what might be slipping away from us. Welcome back to the Waking Up With Jess Podcast! I am excited to share a solo podcast episode with you today. Let's reflect back about six months ago. I invite you to pull out your journal, ground into your body, and deep dive into the questions below. What was happening in your life, your work, your relationships, your business? What were you thinking? What was challenging? What felt really good? What direction did you think your life was going in? What were the feelings you were having during this time? What went exactly the way you thought it would? What intuitive feelings or knowingness did you have then that can be confirmed now? What have you learned since then? Who have you become through the process? What is apparent to you now that wasn't apparent to you then? What was your mind thinking about where you were going vs. your intuition and knowingness? Where are you now? What's going on your life, your work, your relationships, your business? What direction do you feel like your life is going in now? What worries, fears, or questions do you have? Where do you feel strong, grounded, connected? When you think about the things that you had an intuitive knowingness about that came true- what did that sound like, feel like for you? How did you experience that knowingness? What does your knowingness know now that feels similar to what I experienced back then? Take some time and write out what happened each month since February. You can also revisit the monthly numerology forecasts with Felicia Bender as a reminder of the energies each month. What right now is trying to come to completion in your life? Are you allowing yourself to fully let go in order to allow space for new to come in? Grab one of my new journals here, here, and here! P.S. I'll be hosting a Venus Sequence Study Group beginning September 6th where we will deep dive into the Venus Sequence to open your heart to deeper connection and love than you previously thought possible.
