Hey everybody! Episode 157 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with my friends Todd and Lacey. Todd and Lacey and I go quite far back where we met working together at the ayahuasca center the Temple of the Way of Light. They have started their own ayahuasca retreat called Intertwining Medicines where they work within the Shipibo lineage. It was a pleasure to sit down and catch up with them both. They have been involved in this medicine path for a long time and both hold a lot of wisdom and teachings. We spoke about their background, facilitation, healing, black magic and brujeria, and the evolution of this work. I have a lot of respect for both of them and think they have a lot to share. Hey everybody! Episode 156 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Melissa Osorio. Melissa has a really interesting, difficult, and inspiring story. We spoke about her early years growing up in Venezuela, the death of first her sibling and then her father, the impact his had, her journey to the US to pursue and achieve the American Dream, her discontent, her journey with ayahuasca, the revelations of early childhood sexual abuse at the hands of her father, and how that led her on a journey of self-discovery and healing. Melissa has an inspiring story and a lot of wisdom to teach and I trust you all will find this a deep and helpful conversation. Hey, here is a special episode! This episode is an interview that I did with my colleague Merav Artzi and our friend Tara Muirghein . Tara invited us on to speak about our story, our work with connecting to the wisdom of plants, our lineage from the Amazon, how we work with tobacco and trees, and how we have begun to bridge this technology with connecting people with the wisdom of their own indigenous lands and trees. It was lovely to share with Tara, thank you to her for having us on, and we hope you enjoy this episode. As always, to support this podcast, check out my Patreon page below. Enjoy!
Hey everybody! In this episode, I spoke with Dr. Moshe Daniel Block. Moshe is a really interesting guy and is a Naturopathic doctor. We spoke about his background, naturopathic medicine, the mind-body connection, chronic illnesses, auto-immune conditions, the limits of the Western materialist medical model, the soul, alchemy, the mind and the power of belief systems in illness, Hermeticism and Truth, and many other topics. It was a joy to speak with Moshe and have him share in his holistic wisdom and I trust you all will gain much from this interview. As always, to support this podcast, check out Universe Within Podcast on Patreon. Enjoy!
Hey everybody! Episode 153 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Satya. This was my second time speaking with her. I have had the chance to get to know Satya and her work more since the first interview and I was very impressed with her ability to bridge different modalities together to create cathartic experiences for her guests and to help them to learn tools to do this work better. In this episode we spoke about this, about diagnosing and the felt-sense and presence that that involves, about ayahuasca, psychology and the bridging of ancient wisdom with more modern therapeutic ways of working with sacraments, and many other topics. I trust you all will gain much from this episode and the wisdom that Satya has to share. As always, to support this podcast, check out my Patreon page below. Enjoy!
Hey everybody! In this episode, I spoke with Manda Scott. Manda is an author, podcasters, shamanic dreaming practitioner, and works on a number of regenerative projects. I really enjoyed sitting down and speaking with her about these subjects as well as what she describes as a trauma culture from the Roman conquest and what more indigenous societies can teach us about ways forward. Manda has spent a lot of time with these subjects and questions and her knowledge is apparent in how she beautifully shares. I trust you all will get much from this episode. Hey everybody! Episode 151 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with my friend Brian James. Brian now has the distinction of being the first guest to be featured three times on this podcast. I brought Brian on to speak about his new book, Traumadelic. I was really happy to have Brian on again to speak about how he sees the overemphasis on trauma, and the more Western psychological model as whole, is potentially taking away from the richness and vastness of the more traditional shamanic experience. As plant medicine work moves in the Western mainstream, it is understandable that it will adapt and be incorporated into Western ways and cosmovisions. However, this does not come without cost, often severely limiting in scope and potentiality the benefits of both plant medicines and the traditional ways of working with them. This may be a controversial topic to some, as much of this has become a new dogma, but, as we speak about, heresy is rarely accepted with open arms and ultimately a pursuit of truth, however uncomfortable, is to be valued. I trust this conversation will be enlightening and shift some views that we may hold or not even realize that we are holding.
Hey everybody! Episode 150 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Martha Carlin. Martha has a fascinating story. After her husband was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease, she quit her job and dedicated her life to better understanding the root of the disease. She began to discover that the Western medical system didn't have a lot of answers and in her research she discovered the importance of the gut microbiome, both in Parkinsons and chronic diseases at large. It was a pleasure to speak with Martha and have her share in her decades of work and knowledge. We spoke about disease, the gut microbiome, the deleterious consequences of many Western lifestyle practices, holistic approaches to healing, the mind-body connection, and many other topics. I think Martha is a true scientist in the real meaning of that word and her insights and wisdom should be valuable to anyone interested in health and the human condition. Hey everybody! Episode 149 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Alex Lasarev. I met Alex many years ago through a mutual friend, John Keegan, who I also had on the podcast (ep. 60). Over the years I really respected what Alex stood for, especially during the pandemic where he was, for me, a voice of reason and dissent against much of the authoritarianism. Alex has had a really interesting life and we spoke about his background, traumatic childhood, how that led him to overcome his fear and become a renowned dating coach, his journey into spirituality and plant medicines, the Covid pandemic and how he was an advocate of freedom and love, his work with cancer treatments, and his role as a comedian and the power of comedy. This was a really varied interview and Alex has a fascinating life and I think you all can gain from his life and wisdom. Hey everybody! Episode 148 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Remi & Ashley of Kumankaya Healing Center. I had heard about Remi a number of years ago as I am friends with and have interviewed two of his friends and colleagues, Joe Tafur (ep15) and Martina Drassl (ep42). They spoke very highly of Remi and his dedication and skill to the plant medicine path. He was a Christian monk for a number of years before apprenticing with a renowned Shipibo Onaya (ayahuasquero) Ricardo Amaringo, at the healing center Nihue Rao. That is where he met Ashley, his wife, who has had an interesting journey herself coming to plants and also apprenticed there. It was a pleasure to sit down with both of them and learn about their background, speak about plants, ayahuasca, the Shipibo lineage, dietas, master plants, cosmovisions, and what they have learned on their path. Their depth of knowledge, training, and wisdom in this field is very apparent and I trust you all will gain much from their extensive knowledge. From an early age, he witnessed the healing skills of his uncle Esteban, who used medicinal plants and chanted healing icaros to heal illnesses. In 1990, Pervis was confronted with an unknown disease, and despite seeking a cure in the city with pharmaceutical drugs, he found no improvement. But his luck changed when he met his uncle Cecilio Flores, who provided treatment using traditional medicine and the power of plants, with strict diets after eating plant leaves. He regained his energy and received praise from his uncle, who encouraged him to continue developing his potential and wisdom in the use of plants to cure diseases. His faith was strong practicing the power of prayers. His interest in consciousness led him to Latin America and ayahuasca where he spent time with different indigenous groups such as the Huni Kuin, Yawanawa, Shuar, as well as the Santo Daime church. We spoke about this journey and then what led him to other teachers such as the Colombian taitas, Andean traditions, and the Tubu nation of the Colombian Amazon. We spoke about the power of the word, storytelling, his journey into fatherhood, his involvement in the Imago community, and a lot more. I think Michal's wisdom is very apparent and it comes through his word and presence. I was really happy to sit down and speak with Michal and hear his wisdom and I trust you all will gain much from him as well. Also if you wait until the end, Michal sings one of his songs that came to him when calling in his son, on the Andean-Amazonian story of Origin. Enjoy!“Michal Scheffler (Sanken Koshi) is the founder and leader of IMAGO Community, a spiritual organization formally established in Brazil and USA, yet present across the Americas.IMAGO stewards an altar that bridges the ancestral tools and wisdom of the Amazon and Andes into the new time. While spending the last 11 years immersed in studying indigenous wisdom traditions, passing through a wide variety of diets and initiations led by the teachers of the jungle and the mountains, he predominantly trained in Brazil and Colombia. The core of his offering is expressed through the weaving of the traditional chants of the Yawanawa nation with the ritual based on the geometry of word, song, story and dance. While being guided by the teachings of the Law of Origin, Sanken Koshi has also walked a more formal path of university study. He carries two degrees in psychology and specializes in community building. He has observed that cultivating supportive community provides the integrity to create lasting shifts and benefit the individual process.Fascinated by the reprogramming of consciousness, he adds a subtle academic approach to support the evolution and long-term benefits of the individuals and the collective.”To learn more about or contact Michal, visit his website at: https://www.imagocommunity.org/To view the recent documentary, Sacred Tobacco, about my work, visit: https://youtu.be/KB0JEQALI_wIf you enjoy the show, it's a big help if you can share it via social media or word of mouth. Hey everybody! Episode 143 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Paul Hutchinson. Paul was introduced to me through a mutual acquaintance. Paul is a really fascinating guy. He was a very successful entrepreneur who was called, literally, to begin to work undercover saving children from child trafficking. He was one of the characters the film Sound of Freedom was based on as well as a producer. Paul and I sat down to speak about his life, his work saving children, notions of trauma and darkness, what it means to be a warrior of light, and how he has found that working with plant medicines has had a revelatory effect on himself and changed his work to not only patch symptoms, but to get to the root causes of human suffering and ending abuse. I really honor Paul and his work and am sure you all will find this a fascinating conversation. We spoke about his background, ayahuasca, dieta, apprenticeship, tradition and lineage, myth, tree medicine, martial arts, christianity, imagination, meditation, and other topics. After an early childhood trauma—the sudden death of my mother, when I was four—I found it hard to believe in much of anything. The election of Ronald Reagan, when I was nine, only underscored the feeling that the world didn't make much sense. Then, when I was eleven, my school got funding to purchase new telescopes and the science teacher gave the battered old ones away to interested students. I was one of them, and that telescope changed my life.Peering through the eyepiece and watching the surface of the Moon unroll itself before me, I felt a powerful sense of homecoming. Gazing at the terminator—the line that divides the light and dark sides of the Moon—I felt there was something here for me, a riddle I'd gazed at my whole life but never understood.Ever since then I've been on a mission to explore this place, whether through psychedelics or my time in the D.C. punk scene. I sensed there was something beyond what I saw with my own two eyes, something that might explain the sense of unreality I'd felt ever since I was young. What I was writing towards, I only see now, was a sense of belonging.”To learn more about or contact Seth, visit his website at: https://www.sethlorinczi.com/To view the recent documentary about us, Sacred Tobacco, visit: https://youtu.be/KB0JEQALI_wIf you enjoy the show, it's a big help if you can share it via social media or word of mouth. Hey everybody! Episode 138 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Scott Stanley. Scott is the founder of the ayahuasca church, Arizona Yage Assembly (AYA) as well as the North American Association of Visionary Churches (NAAVC). I was interested to bring Scott on to speak about the legal status of plant sacraments in the US. I think Scott is a really good representative in that he has been involved in a legal battle with the US government over religious freedom and actually is suing the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) and seems to be in a good position. We spoke about his background, ayahuasca, the history of churches and religious freedom in the States, principles and morality, and why he's involved in doing this work. I dig beneath the surface story in an effort to see the bigger picture and gain a greater understanding while utilizing my intuition and insight. I find the psyche endlessly fascinating and I am in awe of its great depth and mystery. I love to learn and have been an autodidact for the greater part of my life. My favorite saying goes, “Every man has two educations. The first he is given. The second, more important, he gives to himself.” I thoroughly enjoy showering clients and loved ones with helpful wisdom, compassion, humor and nurturing. I am a mother of two amazing daughters and a lifelong, passionate student of the mystery. In my work, I am a teacher, counselor, author and poet. Of Celtic heritage, I follow the wisdom of the ancients, inspired by the Ban Draoi (dree) and fili, (Gaelic for a Celtic medicine woman/seer/poet). As a modern medicine woman I bring my connection to nature and the spirit worlds into my flourishing practice where I host individual retreats and do online counseling/mentoring with clients from all over the world. This is deep, psycho-spiritual work where we delve into the rich territory of the psyche. I cherish the mystical and the practical and I weave my knowledge of Natural Law, the Logical Fallacies, and traditional food wisdom into my work.I have studied with master teachers and for the last 12 years, I have apprenticed myself to the mushroom teachers, who have led me into profound connection with the spirits of nature and my ancestral roots.”To learn more about or contact Shonagh, including her book, visit her website at: https://shonaghhome.comIf you enjoy the show, it's a big help if you can share it via social media or word of mouth. Hey everybody! Episode 127 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Christina Allen. Christina was recommended to me by a past guest and friend Joan Parisi Wilcox. Joan spoke very highly of Christina and so I was happy to have Christina on the podcast. Christina shared in her story and what led her to her shamanic calling, her time in the early psychedelic movement with the Grateful Dead, her studies as a physicist and her interest and work in consciousness, her time with Alberto Villoldo, and eventually her finding her calling learning from the pacos of the Andean Qero tradition. This destiny was fostered by growing up in Alaska where she was surrounded by the influences of the indigenous people there. She moved to California in her teens where she was deeply immersed in the psychedelia of the 1970's, and then she went on to college. At this point it was clear to her that everything was energy and everything was conscious. She wanted to be a medicine woman. When it became apparent that there was not a degree program to accommodate her needs, she created her own path. She started with trying to better understand the energetic nature of reality by studying physics. Then she tackled the brain and consciousness in a graduate neuroscience program. Christina's healing journey, however, eventually led her away from academia and deep into the healing traditions of Peru. Her training came most specifically from the energy medicines of the high Andes, but she has also spent time in the jungles. It is through these teachings and experiences that she finally did heal. For over 20 years she has been practicing and teaching the Andean healing arts, pairing this wisdom with her western education. She also writes about how to heal from trauma based on her own journey, and the observations that come from her extensive client work.” To learn more about or contact Christina, visit her website at: https://www.austinshamaniccenter.com/If you enjoy the show, it's a big help if you can share it via social media or word of mouth. Then came the indescribable gift of Plant Medicine. After falling madly in love with the Plants and this ancient process of ceremony, I not only experienced healing on all imaginable levels, I was also blessed to meet a teacher that allowed me to apprentice in the Shipibo-Conibo and Quechua-Lamista traditions of Ayahuasca for over ten years so that I could learn how to give to others the magic that was given to me. I now practice the art of Vegetalismo, which simply means I work with plant consciousness to help humans heal and evolve, and I absolutely love holding Master Plant Dieta containers for those called to merge with plant consciousness.I also carry the Chavin tradition for Huachuma passed on to me by the late + great Howard Lawler…” To learn more about or contact Kat, visit her website at: https://www.plantmedicinepeople.comIf you enjoy the show, it's a big help if you can share it via social media or word of mouth. The microbiome is a subject I have wanted to cover on this podcast for a while, as it relates to the plants we ingest, our physical and mental health, intelligence, and has a correlation to many indigenous cosmovisions of life and spirits. It was a pleasure to sit down with Dmitry and this was a really fascinating episode delving into this unseen world that is becoming a forefront of science, health, and consciousness. Hey everybody! Episode 122 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with my friend, mentor, and teacher, jubb david. Jubb's was one of the first people who introduced me and opened my eyes to the world of plants as food, nutrition, medicine, and life-force. I met jubb's when we were both living in the East Village of New York and where he had a cafe. I would attend his lectures with my friend John Keegan (who I interviewed in episode 60). I was fascinated by jubb's knowledge, warmth, healing abilities, and insight. Many of the things he said would prove to come true in science many years after he had already been speaking about them. So it was real pleasure and honor to have jubb's on the podcast. This interview is quite different from previous ones in that it's not a Q&A format, but more of a stream of consciousness into jubb's mind. I did my best to splice everything together, but it may take a few listens to pick up on everything he is saying, as there are a lot of gems imbedded in there. I hope you all enjoy and can share in jubb's wisdom. As always, to support this podcast, get early access to shows, bonus material, and Q&As, check out my Patreon page below. Hey everybody! Episode 120 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Jacob Toddson. Jacob has a really excellent YouTube channel called The Wisdom of Odin where he explores his own journey delving into his wandering the ancient world in search of information pertaining to the religions of the past. Jacob is a photographer by trade and it really shows in the production value of his videos. I was really impressed by his work and his looking into, speaking about, and educating about ancient traditions, especially those of Nordic and Celtic traditions. As this has become part of my own work, I was really happy to have Jacob on to talk about his own journey and what he has learned along the way. We had a really nice conversation and I think you all will learn a lot from him and this episode. I am not a historian, or any form of scholar, I am a photographer who wishes to capture the beliefs of the past first hand. I believe by wandering and sharing this information, I can help breathe new life into the old ways, as well as get one step closer to the wisdom of Odin.”To learn more about or contact Jacob, visit his YouTube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/@TheWisdomOfOdinIf you enjoy the show, it would be a big help if you could share it with your own audiences via social media or word of mouth. Hey everybody! Episode 119 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Rune Hjarnø Rasmussen. Rune was introduced to me by a listener of the podcast. It was serendipitous timing as I had been wanting to bring on guests to speak more about European myth and tradition, especially about Celtic and Nordic traditions. So it was a pleasure to sit down with Rune and have him share in his experience with Nordic animism, myth, his work in general, and also his time with the Brazilian Candomblé tradition. He has a really good YouTube channel as well where he speaks about these topics. I think you all will be interested by and get a lot out of this episode. Hey everybody! Episode 118 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Larry Pahl. Larry was introduced to me by a mutual friend who is a fan of Larry's work. As someone who is deeply interested in ancient cultures, esoteric wisdom, and the interconnectedness of life and cultures, the pyramids of Giza have fascinated me since childhood. Therefore Larry was a wonderful guest to bring on as all of these are his specialty. He has been studying the pyramids of Giza for decades and has made a number of discoveries. I think he does a beautiful job at bridging both the more rational scientific views as well as bringing in the often forgotten theological views. This was a fascinating conversation and I hope to do a part two as a follow up and go deeper into his findings. He has made presentations of his discoveries at major Egyptological conferences. He directs our work in the field and maintains contact with our associates around the world. He has led 10 tours to Egypt and outfitted several research expeditions which have yielded major discoveries including the Holy Shaft and Circle, the origin of the Fibonacci Spiral that goes through the center of 4 Giza pyramids, the complete correlation of Orion stars on Egyptian soil, the Hemiunu Template, and the deciphering of pavement markings around Giza.”To learn more about or contact Larry, visit his websites at: https://larrypahl.com & https://www.greatpyramid.orgIf you enjoy the show, it would be a big help if you could share it with your own audiences via social media or word of mouth. Hey everybody! Episode 117 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Andrew Camargo. A friend of Andrew's, Jude, recommend I interview Andrew a while back as he lives quite close to me. I am grateful for this recommendation as I really enjoyed sitting down with Andrew and having him share in his life story and work. He has an excellent free webinar series about the call of shamanism that is about 16 hours in length and I was very impressed with the knowledge and depth that Andrew goes into. I would highly recommend it. I feel Andrew is doing great work at bridging many of these shamanic and esoteric, occult, and alchemical traditions. He has a real grasp and depth of knowledge of the history and the broader implications of how these lineages come together and where they are going. We went four hours on this talk which for me is always a sign of a talk with depth. I learned a lot from Andrew and I think you all will as well. I have been studying Archetypal Shamanism, Entheogenic Spirituality, Alchemy, Jungian Psychology, Modern Mythology and Visionary Art for the past 24 years.I earned my B.A. from Yale University in 2002 studying Literature and Psychoanalysis, when I was introduced to the work of C.G. Jung, and the mysterious Art of Alchemy. In 2009 I earned my M.A. from the Pacifica Graduate Institute studying Jungian Psychology and Mythology. Since 2006 I have participated in and extensively journaled over 700 Ayahuasca ceremonies in the Santo Daime tradition. I now live in the Sacred Valley of Peru with my wife and daughter, where we lead a Santo Daime church and community.Throughout my esoteric studies, I realized that the art of spiritual Alchemy was Western civilization's own version of shamanic initiatory wisdom, and as such, it had something very unique and valuable to offer the modern seeker – provided its arcane symbolic language could be decoded. So I embarked on a sustained effort to decode the magical connection between Esoteric Alchemy and Entheogenic Shamanism, Jungian Psychology, and Modern Mythology...and nothing could have prepared me for what I discovered: A magic key to unlock a vast treasure of "western shamanic" wisdom.”To learn more about or contact Andrew, visit his YouTube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/@theschoolofmodernsoulscience/If you enjoy the show, it would be a big help if you could share it with your own audiences via social media or word of mouth. Hey everybody! Episode 116 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Satya. Satya's assistant had reached out me about a year ago but unfortunately I was busy at that time, but serendipitously our paths crossed when I was recently in Portugal running dieta, and as things would have it, it was much nicer to do this interview in person. Satya has a beautiful presence and is doing great work in this field of plant medicines, integration, therapeutics, education, and merging differing modalities into one. I really enjoyed this conversation and getting to know Satya and having her share in her background, from her work at Billabong to training with ayahuasca under José Campos in the Peruvian Amazon, her embarking on the Red Path, and what she has learned and how she is weaving various modalities together. Hey everybody! Episode 115 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Josh Schrei. Josh has an excellent podcast called The Emerald. A few episodes were recommended to me and after listening I could see why. Josh speaks excellently on themes such as animism, shamanism, religion, myth, and is a story teller in the truest sense of the word. His podcast is excellently produced and is engaging, informative, thought provoking, and really shows the wisdom that Josh carries in order to produce such a fantastic show. Schrei looks at the most salient issues of our day through a timeless prism — you've probably never heard the issue of gun control explored through the medium of the ancient yogic texts and Arthurian legends, or Neil DeGrasse Tyson's assertions about science and civilization rebutted with Siberian folklore. At the heart of the podcast is the premise that the imaginative, poetic, animate heart of human experience — elucidated by so many cultures over so many thousands of years — is missing in modern discourse and is urgently needed at a time when humanity is facing unprecedented problems. The Emerald advocates for an imaginative vision of human life and human discourse as it questions deep underlying assumptions about societal progress. As likely to source from the Wu Tang Clan as the ancient Indian Vedas, and featuring guests such as anthropologist and award-winning author Wade Davis, award-winning author Ann Wroe, noted indigenous author Tyson Yunkaporta and more, The Emerald offers a green glint of wonder in a world that needs to be reacquainted with its own beating heart.” The Emerald Podcast is available on major podcast platforms and to support or contact Josh, visit: https://www.patreon.com/theemeraldpodcastIf you enjoy the show, it would be a big help if you could share it with your own audiences via social media or word of mouth. Hey everybody! Episode 113 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with my friends Brian James and Adam Aronovich. I met both of them when we all worked together at a big plant medicine center in the Peruvian Amazon. I interviewed both of them separately in previous episodes, Brian in episode 30 and Adam in episode 55, so you can check those out for a more in-depth look at them both. I have been impressed with both their abilities to speak out on more mainstream narratives that are happening in the psychedelic and plant-medicine movements. I think there are many narratives that gain traction and are not often questioned, and I respect both Brian and Adam for their ability to look at issues through different lenses to get closer to a wider truth. Two issues that I think that have been arising in this regard are the psychologizing of the plant-medicine world and the world at large. And the second is the over-emphasis on trauma. While both of these topics have validity and importance and a place in this work, they are but a part, and an over-emphasis on both can be an amputation of sorts of the wider use of plant-medicines and create downstream problems that many don't consider. So it was a real pleasure and a bit of an experiment having this panel. I think it went really well and we went pretty deep on these issues which I think are quite important topics. So I feel confident you all will get a lot out of this episode and the wisdom of Adam and Brian. Hey everybody! Episode 112 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with Hamilton Souther. Hamilton is the chairman and founder of Blue Morpho, one of the oldest and most well-respected ayahuasca centers in the Peruvian Amazon. I worked for many years at another one of the pioneering ayahuasca centers, the Temple of the Way of Light, and so I was familiar with Blue Morpho and Hamilton and always heard of people having really deep, profound experiences there. So it was a pleasure to sit down and chat and have Hamilton share in his story, which is an interesting one indeed. He came to the Peruvian Amazon in 2001 after a series of personal insights and was led to apprentice with an indigenous community deep in the Amazon rainforest. I think Hamilton is really one of the pioneers in this field and has an important voice as this plant medicine work moves out into society at large. His knowledge of these plants and the time and dedication that he has given to traditional ways of healing is very valuable in this sphere and I trust you all will gain a lot from his insights and wisdom. Hey everybody! Episode 111 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with John Wood. I met John in jiu-jitsu with our mutual friend and teacher Chase Moore, who was also on this podcast. John does somatic therapy work and it was a really fascinating conversation sitting down and learning more about John and his work. We spoke about his story and how he got caught up a bit in a cult and what that taught him, how he learned and grew from that, how somatic therapy came into his life and what it is and how it can be beneficial, as well as its relationship to plant medicine work and how the two can be great tools when worked with together. I really enjoyed this conversation and think you all will too. As always, to support this podcast, get early access to shows, bonus material, and Q&As, check out my Patreon page below. Enjoy!“John Wood - AKA “The Crazy Aussie Who Doesn't Believe In Meditation” - is the founder of Rageheart, an edgy new online school that teaches people how to navigate and integrate their psychedelic journeys without traditional tools like meditation, breathwork or $49 Moleskin journals.Wood started the company when he noticed how many people struggled with psychedelics. Whether it was staying calm during the experience or integrating the lessons afterwards, Wood wanted to give people better tools because according to him, the classic tools everyone recommends - meditation, gratitude, journaling and more - are disappointing at best and downright dangerous at worst.Wood is an entrepreneur and long-term traveler, having lived, worked and travelled through 20+ countries over the last 10 years. He's currently based in the mountains of Peru where he rides his motorbike, trains Ju Jitsu and eats way too many people-shaped rainbow donuts at his local café.”To learn more about or contact John, visit his website at: www.rageheart.coFor John's article, "Soul Doctors" visit: https://www.dropdeadcopy.com/soul-doctors/If you enjoy the show, it would be a big help if you could share it with your own audiences via social media or word of mouth.
