Jack Nicholson is actually the only sane person for once in this 1982 flop that A.I. forced upon us. Two years into recreational cannabis becoming legal in New Mexico, local cannabis distributors are finding themselves in a legal conundrum. Border Patrol Agents have seized more than $300,000 worth of local cannabis products at checkpoints, according to the New Mexico Cannabis Chamber of Commerce. Matt Chadwick, owner of Top Crop Cannabis, says the checkpoint seizures seemingly started out of the blue in February. He joins Chris & Gabby to discuss how the unavoidable stops are impacting New Mexico businesses, and what he'd like to see from the federal government. How is the governor responding to this issue? What happens to local cannabis if Border Agents double down? We appreciate our listeners. Send your feedback or story ideas to hosts chris.mckee@krqe.com or gabrielle.burkhart@krqe.com. Officials in the San Diego area are urging Congress to pass stricter U.S. border laws amid an increase in migrants arriving on the shores of California's beaches by boat. In the most recent incident, a speedboat navigated between surfers and beachgoers before it was abandoned in the suburb of Carlsbad, just north of San Diego. Several videos of Saturday's incident circulated on social media, showing the boat running ashore when at least 15 people jumped out and some of them ran to the street and escaped in an awaiting vehicle. Others went into the residential and commercial district, frequented by tourists and locals, Reuters reported. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/darien-dunstan3/message

Mark Morgan, Former Customs and Border Patrol Commissioner under President Trump, gives his reaction to the Just the News exclusive report that the Biden Administration, ahead of the Title 42 lifting, is creating exceptions in the law to let illegal migrants into the United States early. The former Trump Border Commissioner comments that “our borders are wide open and insecure, in our country every aspect of our public health, safety, national security is being jeopardized, and our agents are demoralized”. Saying that, the Biden Administration has kept the laws on the books officially, but that his actions have made the laws irrelevant to the point that many long-serving border patrol agents have begun to feel like they are part of the “largest federal smuggling organization in the world”.
