Sam Hargrave has established himself as a filmmaker of note, known for deftly incorporating a blend of unique, intuitive, and character driven action into both his work in film and television. Hargrave made his feature directorial debut with the edge-of-your-seat thriller, EXTRACTION, produced by the Russo Brothers, and written by Joe Russo. Netflix released the film globally in April 2020, and it ranks as one of the top 10 most watched movies, ever, for the streamer. On June 16, 2023, EXTRACTION 2, the sequel to Netflix's worldwide blockbuster action hit, premiered with Hargrave back at the helm as director, and now producer, reuniting with AGBO and Hemsworth, who returns as black ops mercenary, Tyler Rake, on a deadly mission to rescue the battered family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from the prison where they are being held. EXTRACTION 2 immediately became the #1 Movie on Netflix in 90 countries upon its debut, with its predecessor, EXTRACTION, rising back to the top of the list at #2. Upcoming, Hargrave is set to direct Idris Elba in the Warner Bros. high-octane action film, STAY FROSTY, that he will also produce with Dark Horse Entertainment. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2: Movie Review from the Ray Taylor ShowShow topic: Join Ray Taylor as he reviews “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2”. In The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, Katniss Everdeen recovers from her injuries in District 13 after being attacked by a hijacked Peeta Mellark. President Coin sends her to join the assault on the Capitol's armory in District 2, where she is able to rally the rebels and convince District 2 to join the rebellion. She is shot by a civilian but merely injured due to her bulletproof Mockingjay costume. Katniss is recruited into the Star Squad, which includes Gale and a recently married Finnick. Led by Boggs, the team makes their way to the Capitol, evading booby-trapped "pods" placed along the way. In setting up for a shot in a courtyard, Boggs is fatally wounded by a pod and bestows the Holo on Katniss. The group are then trapped in a building by Peacekeepers. Katniss lies and says that Coin has sent her on a mission to assassinate President Snow. The Peacekeepers destroy the building and the Capitol broadcasts a video of the attack announcing Katniss' apparent death, which is then interrupted by Coin who delivers an impassioned eulogy for Katniss to rally the rebels.
