Not only was Jalen Hurts called upon to step up, he got a phone call in the middle of his post-game press conference in Minnesota. “When you win, everyone wants to call you,” he joked. In the Eagles' 28-22 victory over the Vikings, the star quarterback was certainly a winner, delivering one of the most statistically-impressive performances of his career. The 326 passing yards and three touchdowns were much needed, as Hurts, along with the dynamic receiving duo of A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, led the way in getting the Eagles back on track after a two-game slide. What changed on offense, where plenty of criticism has been directed this year? How did a couple of welcomed faces help the defense clamp down? The Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane and Marcus Hayes give their takes on the Eagles' success in Week 7. 00:00 Jalen Hurts: perfection marks major progress 05:29 Offensive adjustments pay explosive dividends 16:51 Welcome back, Nakobe Dean and Jalen Carter! 21:25 Concerns about the edge and…Brandon Graham?!?! unCovering the Birds is a production of The Philadelphia Inquirer and KYW Newsradio Original Podcasts. Week 7 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2025-2026 season is now in the books as they beat the Minnesota Vikings by by a score of 28-22 up in Minnesota. This was a “get right” game for this team, and while they did “get right” in some ways, they faltered in others. They are now 5-2 on the season and at the top of the NFC East division. We're continuing to see patterns of the offense still not being able to run the ball effectively. This is not a Saquon Barkley issue, but an offensive line and play calling issue. In this matchup, Barkley only averaged 2.4 yards per carry. Starting center Cam Jurgens' injury certainly didn't help. The passing attack, however, is what we've all been waiting for! Jalen Hurts put up amazing numbers and was probably the most poised we've seen since the Super Bowl. Devonta Smith and A.J. Brown had stellar games; Brown with two touchdowns and Smith with one. They absolutely dominated their coverage today. The defense was up and down throughout the game, but the good news is that on the Vikings six trips to the red zone, the scored five field goals and only one touchdown. The lack of a pass rush is still very concerning, and we're not 100% sure Brandon Graham coming back will help. As always, we gave our top themes, thoughts and opinions from the game on offense, defense, and special teams, plus we graded each unit to close out the show.SUBSCRIBE on YouTube: youtube.com/@thephiladelphiasportstableHead over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.comFollow us on BlueSky:Jeff: @jeffwarren.bsky.socialErik: @brickpollitt.bsky.socialFollow us on Threads:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstableFollow us on Twitter/X:Jeff: @Jeffrey_WarrenErik: @BrickPollittThe Show: @PhiladelphiaPSTFollow us on Instagram:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstable.Follow Jeff on TikTok: @mrjeffwarrenFollow us on Facebook: facebook.com/PhiladelphiaSportsTable

Seth Joyner joins the 94 WIP Morning Show to talk about the Bird's win yesterday. Seth still believes the offense still has things to clean up despite a great performance from Jalen Hurts. Seth blames the poor run game performance solely on the offensive line. Seth thinks brining Brandon Graham back would be great- he thinks he still has some left in him to play.
Ray Didinger joins the 94 WIP Morning Show with high praise for Jalen Hurts, yet a lot of concern for the Eagles' run game. The offensive line is what Ray believes is the biggest issue. Ray is in favor of the Eagles brining Brandon Graham back.
From 'Go Birds' (subscribe here): Eliot Shorr-Parks dives into the Eagles big win over the Vikings, highlighting four clutch plays by Jalen Hurts that lead to the victory. Then, thoughts on the defense, Nakobe Dean being back and the running game still struggling.
The Eagles go to Minnesota and beat the Vikings in a great performance by Jalen Hurts. Joe DeCamra of the 94 WIP Morning Show, who is regularly critical of Hurts, was very impressed and encouraged by the win. This win feels like the Eagles are getting back on track!
The 94 WIP Morning Show thinks the Eagles are back on track after going into Minnesota and beating the Vikings. Jalen Hurts had a stellar game with a perfect passer rating and connected with both AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith. Joe DeCamara, a regular Hurts critic, was highly impressed. Ray Didinger joined the show with high praise for Jalen Hurts. However, Ray is concerned about the offensive line's performance and it's affect on the run game. Seth Joyner, who also joins the show, feels similarly- he believes the offense still has things to work on and that the O-line is the main issue with the run game. After the game, Jordan Mailata spoke about the team's communication within the offense, pulling the curtain back for fans. Can Brandon Graham come back and be effective? The Morning Show along with Ray and Seth all want him back to help a banged-up defense. Who deserved the most praise for the Eagles win? Hear who the Morning Show gave Bad to the Bone Awards to. Time's Yours was a mixed bag of celebration and apprehension surrounding the Birds.
It feels like the Eagles are back on track after beating the Vikings in Minnesota yesterday. Jalen Hurts, with a perfect passer rating, beat the Vikings in the air with a performance that even impressed Joe DeCamara of the 94 WIP Morning Show. Jordan Mailata had some interesting things to say post-game about DeVonta Smith's 79 yard touchdown.
Ray Didinger was impressed with the way Jalen Hurts was connecting with his receivers. He liked the inclusion of play-action plays which they had abandoned before. He is, however, worried about the run-game. He puts most of the blame on the O-line. Ray would like to see Brandon Graham come back, he thinks it would be a great idea for a banged up defense.
After the game, Jalen Hurts said to his teammates that the Eagles "aren't losers anymore." Hurts lead the Eagles to the fantastic win, making elite offensive plays. Jordan Mailata pulled-back the curtain and explained some of the communication the players had during the game that lead to DeVonta Smith's 79 yard touchdown.
