It's Monday, January 22nd, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Muslims in Sudan, Africa set fire to church On Friday, January 12th, Muslim extremists from the Rapid Support Forces, a paramilitary group formerly operated by the Government of Sudan, set a church building on fire in Wad Medani, Sudan, reports Morning Star News. The blaze destroyed Bibles, hymnbooks, important documents and chairs  in the building. A pastor said Christians in Sudan fear they are being increasingly targeted. The Rapid Support Forces has killed civilians, raped women and girls, and looted homes and shops since taking control of the state in December. In Matthew 10:22-23, Jesus said, “You will be hated by everyone because of Me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another.” In the Open Doors' 2024 World Watch List of the countries where it is most difficult to be a Christian, Sudan now ranks #8, up from #10 the previous year. Trump: Nikki Haley “has no chance” Appearing on Sean Hannity's Fox News talk show, former president Donald Trump said that Nikki Haley doesn't have a chance of winning the New Hampshire primary tomorrow. TRUMP:  “She's not going to make it. She has no chance. She's got no way. MAGA – [Make America Great Again] -- is not going to be with her.” Hannity discussed why he thought the New Hampshire GOP primary was unfair. HANNITY: “I don't like their primary system for one reason. They have what's called an open primary. Already we know that nearly 4,000 Democratic voters have switched affiliation to Republican or undeclared, meaning independent, ahead of the primary, according to the Secretary of State's office. “Even [Republican] Governor [Chris] Sununu, not a friend of yours, told our own Neil Cavuto, that it's troubling that many of these people that will switch as Democrats and vote in the Republican primary, that, when push comes to shove, that they would choose Biden in the end over any Republican.” TRUMP: “So Democrats are allowed to vote. They're gonna vote for her because they don't want to run against me. They want to run against her. …  We are leading Biden in every poll. Michigan just came out -- we're leading by 11.  Georgia just came out -- we're leading by 13 points. We're leading everywhere now.” Nikki Haley: Trump lost the House, the Senate, & White House On January 18th, Nikki Haley spoke with reporters in New Hampshire about targeting Trump, reports RealClearPolitics.com. HALEY: “We were focused on DeSantis in Iowa. We're no longer focused on him. It's Trump in New Hampshire and Trump in South Carolina. “Trump says things. Americans aren't stupid to just believe what he says. The reality is, who lost the House for us? Who lost the Senate? Who lost the White House? Donald Trump, Donald Trump, Donald Trump. Nikki Haley will win every single one of those back for us. I've proven that. So. he can say whatever he wants.” Tens of thousands participate in annual March for Life Tens of thousands of pro-lifers braved the snow and the frigid cold on Friday, January 19th to participate in the nation's capital for the 51st annual March for Life, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Check out a link to a time-lapse video which shows the impressive size of the turnout at www.TheWorldview.com. Pro-lifers from across America gathered at the National Mall and marched a 2-mile route to a concluding spot between the U.S. Capitol and U.S. Supreme Court, celebrating the 2022 overturn of Roe v. Wade and building on that victory by urging Congress to take further action.  Former NFL player Benjamin Watson explained that even though Roe v. Wade was overturned, there is a lot of pro-life work yet to be done. WATSON: “I've been calling the period of time we're in right now, the New Fight for Life. “Roe is done, but we still live in a culture that knows not how to care for life. Roe is done, but the factors that drive women to seek abortions are ever apparent and ever increasing. Roe is done, but abortion is still legal and thriving in too much of America. Roe is done, but, even so, in the cold and the snow, you have continued to travel from around the nation to this place to recognize that the Fight for Life is not over. “God's Word challenges us in the book of Micah ‘to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly before our God.' I believe that this is the essence of what it means to be with every woman and for every child.” Jeanne Mancini, the President of March for Life, explained what a woman facing a crisis pregnancy really needs. MANCINI: “Studies have shown that 60% of women who choose abortion would have chosen life if they felt that they had more support. And not only that, but one in four women who choose abortion are coerced to have that abortion. “What does a woman most need when she is facing an unexpected pregnancy? She doesn't need fear mongering. She doesn't need shame. What she needs to hear is ‘You've got this' and ‘I will help you.'” And House Speaker Mike Johnson of Louisiana shared a personal story. JOHNSON: “I am, myself, a product of an unplanned pregnancy. In January of 1972, exactly one year before Roe v. Wade, my parents, who were just teenagers at the time, chose life. And I am very profoundly grateful that they did. (Cheers) “We have to build a culture that encourages and assists more and more people to make that same decision. This is a critical time to help all moms who are facing unplanned pregnancies, to work with foster children, and to help families who are adopting to volunteer and assist our vital pregnancy resource centers, in our maternity homes and to reach out a renewed hand of compassion and to speak the truth and love. That's what we do.” In Jeremiah 1:5, God says, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.” Texas begins arresting, charging illegal immigrants And finally, Texas authorities began arresting illegal immigrants at Shelby Park in Eagle Pass on Wednesday after Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton defied a cease-and-desist letter sent by the Biden administration, reports The Epoch Times. The arrests were announced by Lieutenant Chris Olivarez at the Texas Department of Public Safety on X, formerly Twitter, complete with photos and videos. Lieutenant Olivarez said single adult migrant men and women were taken into state custody and charged with criminal trespassing under Governor Greg Abbott's new state law, which allows police to arrest and charge people suspected of entering the country illegally. One week ago, on Jan. 20, thousands of pro-lifers marched in the nation's capital for the annual March for Life. The march was the first since Roe v. Wade was overturned last June because of the decision in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization case. "Well, when Roe v. Wade came down in 1973, what that decision did was legalize abortion in all 50 states, and so the march, of course, began as a response to that," Jeanne Mancini, president of March for Life, says of why the national march is still important despite the life issue being a state issue."But you fast forward 50 years and the overturn of Roe with the Dobbs decision in June doesn't make abortion illegal throughout all the country, and certainly it doesn't make it unthinkable," Mancini says. Mancini joins "The Daily Signal Podcast" to further discuss the pro-life movement, her message for the marchers in the states, and what she thinks is next for the pro-life movement. Hosted on Acast. It's Monday, January 23rd, A.D. 2023. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. By Adam McManus (Adam@TheWorldview.com) Nigerian Catholic priest burned to death, another survived gunshots On January 15th, a Catholic priest, Isaac Achi, was burned to death and another, Collins Omeh, sustained gunshot wounds in a terrorist attack in Niger state, Nigeria, reports Christian Solidarity Worldwide. In a separate incident the same day, 25 churchgoers were abducted in Katsina state in the northwest. The local chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria was burned beyond recognition and the rectory was gutted when terrorists set it ablaze after failing to gain entry forcibly. Pray that the violent and peaceful Nigerian Muslims alike would come to faith in Jesus Christ. First March for Life in post-Roe America On Friday, January 20th, 100,000 pro-lifers marched in the 50th annual March for Life, which first took place following the 1973 Supreme Court decision known as Roe v. Wade which legalized abortion, reports LifeNews.com. Jeanne Mancini, the President of the March for Life, welcomed the attendees. MANCINI: “Let me welcome you all here, in person, for the 50th March for Life, the first post-Roe March for Life. (applause) The country and world changed on June 24th, when the Supreme Court handed down the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health decision allowing the people, through their elected officials, at the state and the federal level to impact pro-life laws. “So many giants paved the way for this momentous victory, including our own Nellie Gray, the founder of the March for Life, whose birthday was on June 24. I can't think of a better birthday gift.” Mancini talked about the pro-life battle ahead. MANCINI: “The human rights abuse of abortion is far from over. Sadly, this year alone in the United States, there will be well over 700,000 abortions. And we know that in every abortion one life is taken and at least one life is wounded. We will continue to march until the human rights abuse of abortion is a thing of the past.” Jeremiah 1:5 says, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” Pro-life Rep: Call your Senators to pass Born Alive bill Republican Congressman Steve Scalise of Louisiana was encouraged by the recent passage of the Born Alive Survivors Protection Act. SCALISE: “Just a few months ago, when Nancy Pelosi was Speaker of the House, we brought a bill called the Born Alive Act, a bill that says if a baby is born alive, outside the womb, you cannot murder that baby and call it abortion. Do you know 80 different times Nancy Pelosi blocked that bill from coming to the floor? (audience boos) “The story actually gets better. In just eight days of a Republican majority, we brought up that bill and passed it through the House of Representatives. (audience cheers) That bill is over in the Senate right now. “Call your senators. They haven't brought it up yet. [Democratic Senate Majority Leader] Chuck Schumer doesn't want to bring it up. But if he hears from all of you, they'll have to bring that bill up. “There are only about a handful of countries that allow this barbaric process -- countries like China, like North Korea, and unfortunately America. America should not be on that list of barbaric countries.” To ask your two senators to pass the Born Alive bill, call 202-224-3121. That's 202-224-3121. Coach Dungy compares prayers for NFL player with unborn babies Former Indianapolis Colts Coach Tony Dungy talked about the power of prayer at the March for Life, reports LifeNews.com. DUNGY: “A young man named Damar Hamlin of the Buffalo Bills made a routine tackle, and his heart stopped beating right on the field. It could have been tragic, but something miraculous happened. The team medical staff rushed out. They got Damar's heart started again. But you know what? that wasn't the miracle. The real miracle was the reaction of everyone to that. “The announcers on the broadcast, what did they say? ‘All we can do is pray.' (audience cheers) And all across the country, people started praying. Usually when that happens, the cameras cut away from that. “Back when I was coaching in the 1990s, Christian players got together and they said, ‘We want to pray after the games.' And we actually got a memo from the NFL office said, ‘Don't let your players do that. If you do, you'll be fined, because that's not appropriate.' Can you believe that? (audience boos) That's a true story. “Well, those prayers were answered. Damar is recovering. Now he's home. He's been released from the hospital. (audience cheers) But what's the lesson in that? You know, an unbelievable thing happened that night, a professional football game with millions of dollars of ticket money and advertising money on the line, that game was canceled. Why? Because a life was at stake. And people wanted to see that life saved. “Well, that should be encouraging to us because that's exactly why we're here today. Because every day in this country, innocent lives are at stake.” Atlanta rioters smash windows and set police car on fire Last Wednesday night, Manuel Teran, who objected to the building of a $90 million training facility for the Atlanta Police Department in a forested area dubbed “Cop City,” shot a police officer in the abdomen, reports CBS News. In the ensuing exchange of gun fire, Teran was killed. Proverbs 22:8 says, “Whoever sows injustice reaps calamity, and the rod they wield in fury will be broken.” Afterwards, a Twitter account for a local Defund the Police group, called @ScenesATL, called on Friday for a "night of rage" along with "reciprocal violence to be done to the police and their allies,” reports Fox5Atlanta. That account has subsequently been suspended. In response, on Saturday night, violent rioters, who stormed downtown Atlanta, set a police car on fire and smashed windows of three businesses including Wells Fargo Bank, reports The New York Post. On "EWTN News Nightly" tonight: Less than 24 hours until the first ever March for Life in a post-Roe America. President of the March for Life Education and Defense Fund, Jeanne Mancini, joins to talk about the mood in these final hours before the 2023 March for Life. The pro-abortion Biden Administration calls the overturning of Roe a "health crisis," adding that abortion is under attack like never before. Vice President Kamala Harris is heading to Florida on Sunday for a speech on abortion. Meanwhile, the crisis at the Southern border shows no signs of letting up. A record number of illegal migrants evaded law enforcement last year and more are expected this year. Now lawmakers from both parties say they want action by the Biden Administration, if not impeachment proceedings could take place. And among those marching at the March for Life is a number of abortion survivors, grateful for every breath and the chance to tell their story. One such survivor, Kim Marvin, joins to tell us about a bad dream she awoke from when she was 15 years old and her mother's message to her. Finally this evening, the Catholic group Laudato Si' has launched a new initiative called "An Economy of Peace" which aims to help the people of Ukraine. Divestment Campaigner from the Laudato Si Movement, Joseph D'Halluin, joins to tell us a little more about this initiative. Don't miss out on the latest news and analysis from a Catholic perspective. Some pro-lifers have mistakenly concluded that since Roe v. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court last year, there would no longer be a March for Life in Washington, D.C. On today's edition of Family Talk, Jeanne Mancini, president of the March for Life Education and Defense Fund, explains that while Roe has been reversed, the battle has just begun for the sanctity of life. Not only do the March for Life organizers want to make abortion unthinkable, but they hope to build a stronger safety net for women facing unexpected pregnancies. This includes maternity homes, pro-life pregnancy resource centers and compassion for those who are in crisis. Since some blue states have championed partial-birth abortions, there is obviously so much work left to be done. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/707/29

At this the Pharisees said to Him, "Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the sabbath?" He said to them, "Have you never read what David did when he was in need and he and his companions were hungry? How he went into the house of God when Abiathar was high priest and ate the bread of offering that only the priests could lawfully eat, and shared it with his companions?" Pro-choice advocates push abortion on women as if it is the only option, but women are being duped by activists who are willing to lower the bar on oversight sacrificing their own health (even the FDA does not support this practice) Weber brings up Gavin Newsom's radical policies encouraging interstate abortion and Mancini explains the bill that needs to be passed to put an end to the abuse of young women.
