Could it possibly be the best of times as well as the worst of times for the pro-life movement? This has been a topic we have visited before on this show. Following the Supreme Court's decision in the Dobbs case, immediate celebration met the harsh realities of how divided the country remains on abortion. The political reaction to the Dobbs decision, with Blue States in particular enshrining abortion rights in their states, confirmed that overturning the Roe and Caseyregime would not by itself change the culture. But there have been hopeful signs for pro-lifers intermixed with these challenges in the past few years too. To discuss these ever-changing developments, we can't think of someone wewould rather have on our show at a more timely moment than Jennie Bradley Lichter. Jennie assumed the office of President of the March for Life Education and Defense Fund in February, 2025. In this capacity, she proudly directs the organization responsible for the largest annual gathering of pro-lifers, the March forLife in Washington, D.C.Jennie has wide-ranging legal and policy experience in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, including at the highest levels of the federal government. During the Trump Administration, Jennie served in the White House as a Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of the White House Domestic Policy Council (DPC) where she supervised rulemaking and policy efforts implicating a number of federal agencies, and led policy initiatives across the federal government to defend the dignity of life.Prior to her White House service, Jennie was Deputy General Counsel at Catholic University of America, and worked on policy issues and federal judicial (including Supreme Court) confirmation efforts in the Office of Legal Policy at the U.S.Department of Justice. She previously served as in-house counsel for the Archdiocese of Washington. Early in her legal career, Jennie clerked for two federal appeals court judges and was an associate at the international law firm Jones Day.Jennie graduated from the University of Notre Dame and from Harvard Law School, and earned an M.Phil in Theology & Religious Studies from the University of Cambridge in the UK. The American population is aging. In one century, life expectancy in the US rose from 47 to 78. In 2050, 20% of the U.S. population will be older than 65. With this in mind, we must identify ways to improve the quality of the final days of life. In this episode, we explore how the PA profession contributes to palliative care, focusing on symptom management, quality of life, and communication with JAAPA Authors Rebecca Jones and Natalie Mohammad. Anything truly worthwhile in life defies explanation. People may see you as crazy or narcissistic. They are right. If you aim to make a meaningful impact, you must pursue what others can't understand. This often means venturing into the unknown—it's never been done before, making decisions that seem irrational to everyone else. #Economics and financial accounting is perhaps the least natural thing we do as humans. The most important choices—like finding a partner, climbing mountains, innovating, or even choosing to live on your own —rarely make logical sense. Marriage, having kids, vacations, or running marathons are all just about the worst financial choices you can make.Getting an #education often ends in financial ruin for many. It's ALL terrible ideas. You should never do it. DON'T DO THEM.They can never be justified or rationalized, and that's precisely why they matter. They are the best choices you will ever make.Even if they never work out.

As Reena Lazar says, “All that matters in the end, matters now.” We talk about how the finiteness of life is profoundly motivating; how thinking about the end and working backwards makes a difference in how we live; the impact of a quick love letter exercise; and how conversations are key. We even dive into five concrete steps that can help guide you in having more successful end-of-life conversations with someone you love. https://www.willoweol.com/ Follow on socials: Facebook Instagram Twitter LinkedIn

Léon Krier is a renowned Luxembourgian architect and urban planner, often hailed as the godfather of the New Urbanism and Traditional Urbanism movement. He has been a vocal critic of modernist architecture, advocating instead for a return to traditional, human-scale urban design. Krier's philosophy emphasizes walkable neighborhoods, a mix of housing types, and a harmonious blend of architectural styles that prioritize human interaction over vehicular dominance. One of Krier's most famous projects is Poundbury in England, a model town championed by King Charles, which embodies many of his urban principles. Additionally, Krier's influence can be seen in the design of Ciudad Cayalá in Guatemala, another testament to his vision of creating sustainable and livable urban spaces. His work, writings, and lectures have inspired a generation of architects and urban planners to rethink the way cities are designed and built. On "EWTN News Nightly" tonight: Less than 24 hours until the first ever March for Life in a post-Roe America. President of the March for Life Education and Defense Fund, Jeanne Mancini, joins to talk about the mood in these final hours before the 2023 March for Life. The pro-abortion Biden Administration calls the overturning of Roe a "health crisis," adding that abortion is under attack like never before. Vice President Kamala Harris is heading to Florida on Sunday for a speech on abortion. Meanwhile, the crisis at the Southern border shows no signs of letting up. A record number of illegal migrants evaded law enforcement last year and more are expected this year. Now lawmakers from both parties say they want action by the Biden Administration, if not impeachment proceedings could take place. And among those marching at the March for Life is a number of abortion survivors, grateful for every breath and the chance to tell their story. One such survivor, Kim Marvin, joins to tell us about a bad dream she awoke from when she was 15 years old and her mother's message to her. Finally this evening, the Catholic group Laudato Si' has launched a new initiative called "An Economy of Peace" which aims to help the people of Ukraine. Some pro-lifers have mistakenly concluded that since Roe v. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court last year, there would no longer be a March for Life in Washington, D.C. On today's edition of Family Talk, Jeanne Mancini, president of the March for Life Education and Defense Fund, explains that while Roe has been reversed, the battle has just begun for the sanctity of life. Not only do the March for Life organizers want to make abortion unthinkable, but they hope to build a stronger safety net for women facing unexpected pregnancies. This includes maternity homes, pro-life pregnancy resource centers and compassion for those who are in crisis. Since some blue states have championed partial-birth abortions, there is obviously so much work left to be done. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/707/29

Ever wonder why most secularists seem perpetually angry? Consider the possibility that they are trying to be justified by works--dry bones trying to walk around all by themselves. This phenomena is especially evident in Critical Race Theory (CRT), where people are either prompted to feel like they are the chosen "race," or are told that they are inherently evil and can only be saved by keeping the "antiracist" law. There is no grace in CRT, only judgement and condemnation. It is a new gospel, one where people are justified by being "antiracists." Enter the true gospel, the gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Humans are, indeed, all sinners, only saved by grace through faith in the saving work of Christ. Pastor Ceasar LeFlore terms it, for this context, "Critical Grace Theory." Pastor LeFlore joins Monte Larrick and David Smith to discuss racism in America, CRT, IFI's upcoming worldview conference on that issue, the centrality of agape love (a self-denying love), the mega issue of Christian kids in government schools (parents, get them out), and much more. Pastor Ceasar LeFlore is an IFI board member and has served extensively with pro-life and pro-family ministries in Illinois and nationally including 40 Days for Life, the Southland Coalition for Life, The Beloved Community Development Coalition, and Life Education and Resource Network (LEARN).
