(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark North Korea, Somalia, Yemen, & Sudan top 4 persecuting countries Open Doors released its 2026 World Watch List yesterday. The report ranks the top 50 countries where Christians face the most extreme persecution. Once again, North Korea is ranked the worst country for persecution followed by Somalia, Yemen, Sudan, and Eritrea. The remaining top 10 countries are Syria, Nigeria, Pakistan, Libya, and Iran. One out of seven Christians are persecuted worldwide. Between October 2024 and September 2025, the report documented that 4,849 Christians were killed for their faith. Over 90% of the killings occurred in sub-Saharan Africa, especially Nigeria.  Hebrews 13:3 says, “Remember the prisoners as if chained with them—those who are mistreated—since you yourselves are in the body also.” 2,000 Iranian protestors killed by Islamic regime Millions of Iranians have been protesting against the country's Islamic regime since December 28. Activists report that 2,000 people have been killed as the regime has cracked down on protestors.  Listen to comments from U.S. President Donald Trump. TRUMP: “To all Iranian patriots, keep protesting, take over your institutions, if possible. … I've cancelled all meetings with the Iranian officials until the senseless killing of protesters stops. And all I say to them is ‘Help is on its way!' You saw that I put tariffs on anybody doing business with Iran. Just went into effect today.” During this unrest, please pray for the underground church in Iran to remain strong and find opportunities to minister.  Pentagon moving carrier strike group toward Middle East amid Iran tension In a related story, the Pentagon is moving a carrier strike group from the South China Sea to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, which includes the Middle East, as tensions escalate between the Trump administration and Iran, reports NewsNation. Moving the carrier strike group — a naval formation centering around an aircraft carrier, with a variety of support from other vessels — is expected to take about a week. The significant transfer of American military hardware comes amid developments related to unrest in Iran and questions about whether the White House will offer support to opponents of Iran's autocratic, Islamicregime. Franklin Graham calls America to prayer and repentance In the Untied States, Evangelist Franklin Graham called for a time of prayer and repentance across the nation. The call came as “the streets of America boil over with hate, anger, crime, drugs, and just sheer hopelessness.” Listen to comments from Graham. GRAHAM: “I encourage people to pray. And first of all, we need to repent as a nation. We need to repent of our sins and turn from those sins. And we need to repent of our own sins, not just the nation's sins, but our personal sins, and ask God to forgive us.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” Trump withdraws from 66 int'l groups, conventions, and treaties The Trump administration announced last Wednesday that the U.S. is withdrawing from 66 international organizations, conventions, and treaties. One of those organizations is the United Nations Population Fund, known for its support of abortion.  Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, said, “From DEI mandates to ‘gender equity' campaigns to climate orthodoxy, many international organizations now serve a globalist project. … These organizations actively seek to constrain American sovereignty.” State Department pauses immigrant visas from 75 countries Plus, the U.S. Department of State announced yesterday that it will pause immigrant visa processing from 75 countries.  Those nations include Somalia, Russia, Afghanistan, Iran, and Nigeria.  The State Department said migrants from these countries “take welfare from the American people at unacceptable rates.” U.S. overdose deaths fell New federal data shows U.S. overdose deaths fell last year. Overdose deaths involving opioids and now fentanyl have been on the rise since the 1990s. An estimated 73,000 people died from overdoses during the 12-month period ending in August 2025. That's down 21% from the previous 12-month period.  Researchers suggest this drop is connected with recent regulation changes in China. These changes decreased the availability of chemicals used to make fentanyl.    4,000 U.S. Protestant churches closed in 2024 Lifeway Research reports more Protestant churches closed in the U.S. than opened. Four thousand churches were closed in America in 2024. Meanwhile, only 3,800 churches were started. That's better than 2019 when there were only 3,000 openings and 4,500 closings. Openings have not outpaced closings since 2014 when there were 4,000 openings and 3,700 closings. Christian/Gospel music ranked among top 10 genres And finally, Luminate released its 2025 year-end music report. Christian and Gospel music ranked among the top 10 genres in the U.S. last year. Plus, Christian/Gospel was also one of the highest-growth genres in terms of on-demand audio streams. WINANS: “For Your mercy never fails me All my days, I've been held in Your hands From the moment that I wake up Until I lay my head Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God “'Cause all my life You have been faithful And all my life You have been so, so good With every breath that I am able Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God.” That was Cece Winans singing the “Goodness of God.” When it came to music released in the last 18 months, Christian/Gospel music saw the most growth in streams of any genre. It's New Year's Day, Thursday, January 1st, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Hindus guilty of 80 anti-Christian incidents on Christmas in India Hindu nationalists attacked Christians across India over the Christmas week. International Christian Concern reports over 80 incidents of violent attacks, hate speeches, and tensions during Christmas celebrations. In one case, a group of children in a Christmas carol procession were attacked, and their instruments were destroyed. Shashi Tharoor, a parliamentarian with the Indian National Congress, expressed “deep concern over the rising fear and anxiety among Christians in India. Sadly, there are attacks on Christians in different places of the country.”  India is ranked 11th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most difficult countries to be a Christian. Matthew 5:10 says, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.” China continues massive military drills near Taiwan China carried out massive military drills around Taiwan this week. They were the most extensive war games to date, involving live fire, warships, and fighter jets.  Taiwan functions as an independent nation. However, China claims the territory as its own and uses military drills as an intimidation tactic.  The recent drills came after the United States agreed to an $11 billion arms sale to Taiwan last month. Australian church attendance virtually recovered post COVID Church attendance in Australia is recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.  The Church Pulse Check 2025 report surveyed 10% of Australian churches. An estimated 1.35 million Australians attend churches services every week. That's up from one million in 2021. It's almost back to pre-pandemic levels of 1.4 million in 2016. First two Trump vetoes In the United States, President Donald Trump issued the first vetoes of his second term on Tuesday. President Trump vetoed the Finish the Arkansas Valley Conduit Act. It would provide taxpayer funding to a local water project in Colorado. He wrote, “Enough is enough. My administration is committed to preventing American taxpayers from funding expensive and unreliable policies. Ending the massive cost of taxpayer handouts and restoring fiscal sanity is vital to economic growth and the fiscal health of the nation.” President Trump also vetoed the Miccosukee Reserved Area Amendment Act. The bill would expand the area reserved for the Miccosukee Tribe in Florida. Abortion Pill Rescue Network saved 7,000 babies Heartbeat International reports its Abortion Pill Rescue® Network has saved the lives of over 7,000 unborn babies. Using a progesterone protocol, Abortion Pill Reversal allows many mothers to save their pregnancy after starting down the path of a chemical abortion.  An estimated 79% of abortions in the U.S. last year were done through the abortion pill. However, Heartbeat International is seeing more and more women every year start the reversal process to save their babies.  Proverbs 24:11 says, “Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.” Matthew top Bible book studied through Logos platform The Bible study platform Logos released a report on how people around the world studied the Bible in 2025. Listen to comments from Chris Migura, president of Logos. MIGURA: “We saw some incredible outcomes this year. There were over 76 million study sessions in Logos so far this year. Of the 10 countries with the most Logos users, five are non-English speaking. We're thrilled to see that global impact. “We reach new audiences. We're seeing more and more everyday believers -- not just pastors, students or scholars -- doing meaningful Bible study in Logos.” Logos had over four million users across 164 countries last year. The top countries for Logos usage were Brazil, Germany, Mexico, South Korea, and Singapore. The most-studied book of the Bible was the Gospel of Matthew. And the top Bible verse of the year was 2 Timothy 3:16. The verse says, “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness.” Only 31% of U.S. adults plan New Year's resolution And finally, a new YouGov survey revealed the top New Year's resolutions of Americans. Only 31% of U.S. adults said they planned on making some type of resolution or goal for 2026. Of those, the top resolution was exercising more followed by being happy and eating healthier. Spending more time with family and praying more made it into the top 10 resolutions. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Nicaragua prohibits tourists from bringing Bibles Christian Solidarity Worldwide reports that Nicaragua now prohibits tourists from bringing Bibles into the country. This is part of a broader deterioration of religious freedom in the Central American nation. Religious leaders often face arbitrary detention, and officials generally prohibit public religious events. The authoritarian government has also shut down over 1,300 religious groups since 2018. Anna Lee Stangl with Christian Solidarity Worldwide said, “The Nicaraguan government's efforts to restrict the entry of Bibles, other books, newspapers and magazines into the country are highly concerning given the current context of repression. We call on the government of Nicaragua to lift this ban immediately.” The country is ranked 30th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most difficult places to be a Christian.  Chile elects conservative, pro-life president Chile elected José Antonio Kast, a conservative former lawmaker, as their president on Sunday, reports NBC News. He won 58 percent of the vote, defeating communist rival Jeanette Jara. Kast is a practicing Catholic, the father of nine children, and a pro-life activist.  He said in his victory speech, “But nothing would be possible if we didn't have God. And that's something we can't fail to acknowledge.” He added a prayer for “wisdom, temperance, and strength” in the challenges ahead. Kast campaigned on dealing with growing crime and illegal migration into the South American country, primarily from Venezuela.  Proverbs 29:2 says, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan.” America seized a Venezuelan oil tanker related to terrorism The United States seized an oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela last week. It's the first time the U.S. has seized Venezuelan oil since imposing sanctions on the South American country in 2019. U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi wrote on X, “For multiple years, the oil tanker has been sanctioned by the United States due to its involvement in an illicit oil shipping network supporting foreign terrorist organizations.” U.S. oil production hits historic level The U.S. oil and natural gas industry set production records last month, reports The Center Square. Crude oil output reached about 5.9 million barrels per day, the highest ever recorded in U.S. history. Texas led the production of crude oil and natural gas. So far this year, the Lone Star state's production increased by 5.8 percent despite operating 20 percent fewer rigs. Two Texas cities outlawed abortion Two Texas cities outlawed abortion last week. The City of Springlake, Texas became the 90th city in the nation to pass a Sanctuary City for the Unborn Ordinance last Thursday. And the city council of Tira, Texas became the 91st city to pass such an ordinance on Sunday. Both ordinances passed unanimously.  Tira Mayor Allen Joslin and his wife, Councilwoman Tami Joslin, shared, “We believe this to be the most important item that has come across our forum to vote on, which truly empowers the residents of the Tira community in the battle to protect the unborn.” 60 percent of Americans identify as Christian Pew Research released a new survey on religion in America. The study found that the religious composition of U.S. adults has remained steady over the past five years. During that time, over 60 percent of Americans consistently said they identify as Christians. Previously, affiliation with Christianity was declining, but it appears to be plateauing now.  The study did not find a widespread resurgence of religiosity among young people. Indiana quarterback gives glory to God And finally, Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza won the Heisman Trophy on Saturday. He's the first Indiana Hoosier to take home college football's top individual award. Mendoza led the Hoosiers through an undefeated season. They won their first Big Ten Championship since 1967 and become the number one ranked team for the first time.  Listen to comments from Mendoza after winning the Heisman Trophy. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark 2,000 Christians in India protested persecution Around 2,000 Christians gathered in India's capital of New Delhi last month to protest persecution. Speakers at the event noted that attacks on Christians in the country increased 500% between 2014 and 2024. However, police investigated less than 20% of the cases.  One organizer said, “This is not a political movement, but a constitutional dialogue among Indian citizens from the Christian faith, exercising their democratic rights. The systematic and egregious violence and hostility, coupled with police inaction and lack of access to justice, requires solutions.” India is ranked 11th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most difficult countries to be a Christian.  Australia banned social media accounts for kids Australia became the first country in the world to ban social media accounts for children this week. The government now requires social media companies to deactivate the accounts of children under 16 in the country or face serious fines. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese released a message, calling on young people to invest in real-world activities and relationships. Listen.  ALBANESE: “Make the most of the school holidays coming up, rather than spending it scrolling on your phone. Start a new sport, learn a new instrument, or read that book that has been sitting there on your shelf for some time. And importantly, spend quality time with your friends and your family, face to face.” Supreme Court allows Texas county to ban objectionable books In America, the U.S. Supreme Court allowed a Texas county to keep its ban on objectionable books in public libraries. The issue began in 2021 when Llano County in Central Texas removed 17 books from libraries at the request of local residents. The disputed titles included multiple books for young adults with themes on sexually perverted lifestyles. Sadly, other residents favored access to such indecency. The Supreme Court's ruling on Monday leaves in place a ruling by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. That ruling noted, “From the moment they emerged in the mid-19th century, public libraries have shaped their collections to present what they held to be worthwhile literature. … Public libraries used to exclude most novels, which were thought bad for morals.” Philippians 4:8 says, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” 15th county bans abortion Motley County, Texas became the 15th county in the nation to ban abortion. On Monday, the county's Commissioners Court unanimously adopted a Sanctuary County for the Unborn ordinance. Motley County is the 13th county in Texas to pass such an ordinance. It is also the 22nd political subdivision in the U.S. to pass such a measure this year. Wikipedia's #1 2025 article: Charlie Kirk's assassination Wikipedia announced its most-read articles of 2025. The online encyclopedia reported that the most popular article on English Wikipedia this year covered Charlie Kirk. The Christian activist was assassinated on September 10th of this year while speaking at an event for his organization, Turning Point USA, at Utah Valley University.  30% of U.S. adults took political/spiritual action in wake of Charlie Kirk's death The Barna Group released a new survey last week on the spiritual impact of Charlie Kirk's death.  The study found that nearly 30% of U.S. adults took action since Kirk's death. While some said they took political action, most said they took spiritual action. This was especially true among younger generations.  And nearly half of Americans said that Charlie Kirk's death will have a positive impact on Christianity among younger Americans.  Isaiah 41:10 most popular verse on YouVersion app And finally, the Bible platform, YouVersion, announced the verse with the highest international engagement this year.  That verse was Isaiah 41:10. It says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” YouVersion saw unprecedented Bible engagement this year, reaching a billion downloads.  Pastor Bobby Gruenewald, Founder and CEO of YouVersion, said, “We're witnessing a global movement. People are hungry for what's real and true. The Bible stands alone as the source of truth, carefully passed from generation to generation. It's alive and active, and relevant to our everyday lives. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian Muslims abduct pastor, wife and others during church On Sunday morning, armed Muslim bandits attacked Christians in Ejiba, a community in the Kogi State of Nigeria, abducting a pastor, his wife, and several worshippers during the Cherubim and Seraphim Church service, reports International Christian Concern. According to Open Doors' 2024 World Watch List, more than 4,100 Christians were abducted across Nigeria in the previous year. Data gathered from Nigerian and international monitoring groups place the number of Christians kidnapped since 2014 at more than 20,000, many of them during attacks on villages and houses of worship. Isaiah 59:2-3 says, “It is your evil that has separated you from your God. Your sins cause Him to turn away from you, so He does not hear you. With your hands you have killed others, and with your fingers you have done wrong. With your lips you have lied, and with your tongue you say evil things.” Pray that these menacing Muslims trust Christ as Savior. Trump and Hegseth defend targeted attacks on Venezuelan drug boats At Tuesday's cabinet meeting, President Donald Trump and War Secretary Pete Hegseth responded to questions about the controversial September 2nd air strike on a suspected drug boat in the Caribbean from Venezuela, reports RealClearPolitics.com. Secretary Hegseth doubled down on their methodology and mission. HEGSETH: “The evidence-based way that we're able to, with sources and methods that we can't reveal here, make sure that every one of those drug boats is tied to a designated terrorist organization. We know who's on it, what they're doing, what they're carrying. All these white bales are not Christmas gifts from Santa. This is drugs, running on four-motor fast boats or submarines that we've also struck. No one's fishing on a submarine.” Secretary Hegseth justified the lethal attacks on Venezuelan drug boats in international waters to protect the American people from deadly drugs like fentanyl and cocaine. HEGSETH: “How do you treat al-Qaeda and ISIS? Do you arrest them and pat them on the head and say, ‘Don't do that again'? Or do you end the problem directly by taking a lethal, kinetic approach? And that's the way President Trump has authorized the War Department to look at these [drug] cartels. “The American people are safer because narco-terrorists know you can't bring drugs through the water to the American people. We will eliminate that threat, and we're proud to do it.” President Trump added that these dangerous drugs, much of it from Venezuela, killed 200,000 Americans just last year. TRUMP: “These people have killed over 200,000 people, actually killed over 200,000 people last year. And those numbers are down, there way down. And they're down because we're doing these strikes. “We're going to start doing those strikes on land too. You know the land is much easier. We know the routes they take. We know everything about them. We know where they live. We know where the bad ones live, and we're going to start that very soon too.” Court rules NY's efforts to censor pro-life centers unconstitutional An appeals court panel has ruled that efforts to stop pro-life pregnancy centers in New York from informing patients about abortion pill reversal are unconstitutional, reports The Christian Post.   In an opinion published Monday, a three-judge panel of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit unanimously upheld a lower court ruling siding with two pro-life pregnancy centers, Gianna's House and Options Care Center. New York Attorney General Letitia James alleged that the pro-life groups at the center of her office's enforcement action engaged in “false and misleading” speech by promoting abortion pill reversal as effective. Truth be told, abortion pill reversal is indeed effective through a progesterone protocol. NY pastor announces "gender transition" from pulpit A 51-year-old Methodist pastor in New York revealed during his November 23rd sermon that he wanted to start pretending to live like a woman, reports FoxNews. Rev. Phillip Phaneuf, of North Chili United Methodist Church in Rochester, delivered this disturbing announcement as he wore a pro-homosexual, pro-transgender rainbow pride stole in the pulpit. Listen. PHANEUF: “I get to announce with joy that I'm transitioning. I'm affirming and saying to all of you that I am transgender and so and so, the best way to put this is that I'm not becoming a woman. I'm giving up pretending to be a man. So, what will change? My voice. It might go a tad higher. Pronouns?  She/her,  but I'm not going to be ‘pronoun police,' okay? Because I don't think that anybody will misgender out of malice.” The pastor admitted that he has been taking hormone replacement therapy for the past three months. He also addressed what his parents thought. PHANEUF: “Are my parents okay with this? Absolutely not. They texted me this morning and they asked for me to tell you all that they do not support me and that they have chosen their convictions and their beliefs over supporting their child.” Phaneuf, who donned a transgender stole during a subsequent service, claimed that God had endorsed his transition, reports LifeSiteNews.com. He asked, “If you felt God's Holy Spirit surrounding you in ways that you haven't felt in years, would you have a sense that that might be something that God was okay with? Yeah.” However, Genesis 1:27 affirms that God created each of us to be either male or female. “So, God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.” 91% of college students say words are “violence” after Charlie Kirk murder And finally, in the aftermath of the horrific assassination of free speech activist Charlie Kirk, 91% of American undergraduates believe “words can be violence”, reports FaithWire.com. The new data was compiled by the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, which asked more than 2,000 college students about their perceptions of free speech in the United States. Remarkably, 204 of the students surveyed were from Utah Valley University in Orem, where Charlie Kirk was fatally gunned down while peacefully and cordially taking questions from attendees. The foundation called the survey results “especially startling coming in the wake of Charlie Kirk's assassination — an extreme and tragic example of the sharp difference between words and violence.” Sean Stevens, chief research advisor for the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, said, “When people start thinking that words can be violence, violence becomes an acceptable response to words. Even after the murder of Charlie Kirk at a speaking event, college students think that someone's words can be a threat. (Contact@eanvoiceit.com) New Anti-Conversion Laws in India According to Persecution.org Police in the northwestern Indian state of Rajasthan recently registered the first case under the state's recently enacted anti-conversion legislation against two missionaries. The Christians were accused of carrying out religious conversions at a gathering through “allurement,” according to media reports. After registering the case on Nov. 20, police issued notices to the two missionaries – Chandy Varghese from New Delhi and Arun John from Kota – claiming they promoted conversion and baptised several people during a three-day program known as ‘Spiritual Satsang' at Beersheba Church in Kota. Police investigated after videos and social media clips surfaced showing event speeches and activities. Several youths allegedly announced from the stage that they put their faith in Jesus Christ and were baptized, while calling upon others to adopt Christianity. Rajasthan is one of 12 states in India that has strict anti-conversion laws. A first information report (FIR) was registered by the police after complaints were lodged by hardline Hindu groups active in controlling Christian activities. 2 Thessalonians 3:2-3 That we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith.  But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. Christians in Uganda Threatened Despite Freedom of Religion Laws A Sudanese Christian family in Uganda is living in fear after Muslim extremists from Sudan and Somalia threatened to kill them. Safaa Yousif, who fled her native Sudan to Uganda due to conflict and religious persecution in 2016, received a text message from an anonymous number threatening to kill her family. Muslims from Somalia have also threatened her.  Yousif said she once gave discipleship classes to new converts, and a Somali Muslim who had put his faith in Christ was kidnapped and tortured by his co-religionists from Somalia and Sudan. Somalia is ranked 2nd on the Christian support group Open Doors 2025 World Watch List of the 50 countries where it is most difficult to be a Christian.  Its constitution establishes Islam as the state religion and prohibits the propagation of any other religion, according to the US State Department.  It also requires that laws comply with Sharia Principles, with no exceptions in application for non-Muslims. The threats on Yousif's family in Uganda were the latest of many instances of persecution of Christians in Uganda. An interesting fact to consider is that Uganda's constitution and other laws provide for religious freedom, including the right to propagate one's faith and convert from one faith to another.  Muslims make up no more than 12 percent of Uganda's population, with high concentrations in eastern areas of the country. Pray that the Yousif family be reminded of the words of Jesus in Acts 1:7-8 It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.  But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit as come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth. New hurdle in James Comey case The prosecution of former FBI Director James Comey hit another hurdle last Wednesday as the Justice Department encountered mounting questions about how the case was presented to a grand jury for indictment, reports the Associated Press. The development risked further jeopardizing a politically charged prosecution already subject to multiple challenges and demands for its dismissal. It came during a hearing in which Comey's lawyers asked U.S. District Judge Michael Nachmanoff to throw out the case on grounds that the government was being vindictive and as a separate challenge to Lindsey Halligan, the hastily appointed and inexperienced prosecutor who secured the indictment, is pending. The Justice Department's acknowledgment under questioning from a judge that the full grand jury did not review a copy of the final indictment is the latest indication of its seemingly disjointed pursuit of a criminal case against one of President Donald Trump's political enemies. Comey was fired by Trump in May 2017 while overseeing an FBI investigation into potential ties between Russia and Trump's 2016 campaign. The two have been publicly at odds ever since. New Exoskeleton Suit is Accomplishing Miracles At a Canadian wellness center, a unique robotic exoskeleton is allowing children with developmental disorders to walk-often for the first time. The nonprofit's Regina location in Canada is eager to get families to come and try it out.  It can be used to correct a child's gait or help them take their first steps, and is suitable for a variety of conditions including spinal cord injuries and cerebral palsy. Good News Network reports that the First Steps Wellness Center in Canada received the Trexo exoskeleton out of the goodness of someone's heart!  The $100,000 machine was donated to help children like Leo, a boy born with a rare genetic disease which left him a prognosis that walking would be impossible.  But, latched into the Trexo walker at First Steps, his mother Anna has watched her son learn to walk and develop a musculature that has him able to take steps on his own. ANNA: “He does a few steps right now by himself, and with Trexo, I'm pretty sure he'll be able to do more steps in the future, once we start using it more often.” There are currently 6 Trexo exoskeletons sold and in use today.  After a few sessions, how is Leo doing today? ANNA: “He can walk! You know, be part of everybody else, like walk like other kids. So, it's kind of- It's unique. He did amazing. I have butterflies. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Muslims in Congo killed 17 patients in a Christian hospital Sheer evil has struck Africa again. Last Friday, Muslim militants with the Allied Democratic Forces killed 17 people at a Christian hospital in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.  The armed rebels killed patients in their hospital beds, including women who were nursing their babies. Such civilian massacres are becoming more common in the Christian-majority area. Congo is ranked 35th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most dangerous countries to be a Christian. Open Doors' profile for the country notes, “Allied with the Islamic State group, the [Allied Democratic Forces] abduct and kill Christians and attack churches, leading to widespread terror, insecurity and displacement.” European Court of Human Rights denied rights of unborn humans The European Court of Human Rights  ruled in favor of abortion last week, denying the rights of unborn humans. The case began when a woman wanted to get an abortion in Poland after discovering her baby had a genetic disorder. However, Poland's Constitutional Tribunal had struck down abortion on the basis of disability.  So, the woman travelled abroad for an abortion and challenged Poland's decision. The European court ruled against Poland in the case. Dr. Felix Böllmann with Alliance Defending Freedom International warned, “This judgment sends a troubling signal that the Court is again willing to overstep its role. The Court should return to its original mission of protecting genuine human rights, not inventing false ones.” Isaiah 10:1-2 says, “Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, who write misfortune, which they have prescribed to rob the needy of justice ... that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless.” U.S. pregnancy centers are seeing growth In the United States, pregnancy centers are seeing growth in recent years. The Charlotte Lozier Institute released its 2025 National Pregnancy Center Report. The study found 2,775 pregnancy centers provided over $452 million in care, education, and material goods to families in 2024. The centers also saw over one million new clients for the first time last year. That's the equivalent of each location serving a new client every day! The phase out of the unnecessary Department of Education The U.S. Department of Education announced Tuesday it is handing off major responsibilities to other federal agencies. This is part of the Trump administration's plan to close the department.  The plan transfers major programs to the Departments of Labor, Interior, State as well as Health and Human Services. Listen to comments from U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon. MCMAHON: “The announcement really follows the plan that President Trump has had since Day 1, and that is returning education to the states.  He fully believes, as do I, the best education is that that is closest to the child, and not one run from a bureaucracy in Washington D.C.” Only 11% of U.S. churchgoers have Biblical worldview Christian researcher Dr. George Barna released his latest survey on the worldview of Americans, specifically regular churchgoers. The report found only 11% of churchgoers have a Biblical worldview. Only 54% say the Bible is the inspired, error-free Word of God. About 50% or less believe the Bible speaks clearly on moral issues. And 32% of churchgoers now prefer socialism over capitalism. Dr. David Closson, Director of the Center for Biblical Worldview at the Family Research Council, commented on the study.  He said, “The answer to these trends is not despair, but a return to the faithful proclamation of God's Word. We must help Christians connect their zeal for God with the knowledge of God, as Scripture commands in Romans 10:2.” That verse says, “For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.” WalMart CEO and Berkshire Hathaway CEO retire And finally, CEOs of U.S. companies are leaving at record rates this year. This comes as many executives are reaching retirement age. For example, 59-year-old Doug McMillion will retire from being CEO of Walmart next year after leading the retailer's growth for over a decade.  In another case, 95-year-old Warren Buffett is stepping down as CEO of Berkshire Hathaway this year. After 60 years in leadership, the renowned investor sent out his final letter to shareholders last week.  In his final thoughts, Buffett wrote, “Greatness does not come about through accumulating great amounts of money. When you help someone in any of thousands of ways, you help the world. Kindness is costless but also priceless. Whether you are religious or not, it's hard to beat The Golden Rule as a guide to behavior.” Buffett's billions funded millions of abortions Too bad Buffet has not used his resources to treat the unborn children in the womb with such Golden Rule kindness. Instead, the Media Research Center reported that Buffett's grants to abortion groups through the Buffett Foundation totaled at least $1.3 billion between 1989 and 2012. (The tax returns from 1997 to 2000 were missing.)  The New York Times reported, “Most of the [Buffet] Foundation's spending goes to abortion and contraception.”  Buffett's biographer describes him as having “a Malthusian dread” of population growth among the poor. And the Buffett Foundation's spending in this area was accelerating rapidly as the 2000s unfolded. Beneficiaries of Buffett's deadly giving include $300 million for abortion giant Planned Parenthood as well as millions more for the National Abortion Rights Action League, the National Abortion Federation, Catholics for a Free Choice, Abortion Access Project, Population Council, Marie Stopes International, the Center for Reproductive Rights, and dozens of other pro-abortion advocates. In addition, the Buffett Foundation gave money that was instrumental in creating the abortion drug RU-486 and pushing it through clinical trials. Tragically, 63% of mothers who abort in America today use this deadly drug to kill their babies. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Catholic cathedral bombed in Bangladesh On November 7, a Catholic cathedral and school in Dhaka, Bangladesh, were bombed hours before a worship event that drew bishops from across the country, reports International Christian Concern. A suspect on a motorbike threw two homemade bombs at the church — one exploded near the gate, and another landed near the property, failing to detonate. Thankfully, no one was injured in the attack.  The incident did not deter 500 Catholics from attending the worship event the following morning at St. Mary's Cathedral, nor did it deter students from returning to school at St. Joseph School the following Monday.  Police investigators arrested a suspect and identified him as a member of a banned student political party. They have been initiating violent protests against the government, but more recently, their attacks have shifted toward churchgoers as they prepare for the February 2026 election.  St. Mary's Cathedral plans to take legal action and punish the perpetrator.  One churchgoer said, “Anxiety grips many of us while going to church.” And Bulbul Rebeiro with the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Bangladesh, said, “We are peace-loving people, but these incidents are frightening us.”  Bangladesh ranks 24th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the countries most dangerous for Christians. Gen Z protests in Mexico City, storming presidential palace AUDIO: Sounds of rioting against police Those are the sounds of rioters who stormed the barricades outside the presidential palace in Mexico City on Saturday as an anti-cartel protest descended into chaos, reports The Daily Mail. Mobs of frustrated, mostly Gen Z Mexican protestors traded blows with cops and screamed slogans about how corruption and cartel killings have spiraled out of control in their country. Thousands of people filled the streets of the nation's capital and marched to the palace, which is the official residence of President Claudia Sheinbaum, the liberal politician who took office last October. The demonstration, largely organized by young activists and supported by older supporters of opposition movements, was the culmination of citizens' frustration with the government's inability to stop violence and provide economic opportunity. Pablo Vazquez, Mexico City's chief of police, said 20 people were arrested and are set to be charged with battery, assault and robbery, reports Bloomberg. Vazquez added that 60 of his police officers were injured, 40 of whom had to be sent to the hospital for treatment.  Trump supports Christian foster parents against pro-LGBT states President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Thursday aimed at “modernizing” the child welfare system in the United States, including a guarantee to side with foster families discriminated against by states for their religious convictions, reports LifeSiteNews.com. For example, Heath and Lydia Marvin, a Christians couple in Massachusetts who have fostered eight children under the age of four since 2020, lost their license to foster children because they refused to sign an agreement to “affirm” the alleged LGBT status of any children placed in their care.  LYDIA MARVIN: “We have been an active foster family in Massachusetts for the past four and a half years, and lost our license earlier this year due to new discriminatory policies against Christian families in Massachusetts. So grateful to be here and have the [Trump] administration's support for foster care, but also specifically for Christian families and faith-based organizations to continue caring for those who are most vulnerable in our communities.” Her husband Heath offered his support for the Trump administration as well. HEATH MARVIN: “It's so neat to hear the President and First Lady talking about both foster care and just the need that exists across the country for that, but also specifically, how Christians are twice as likely to be a part of foster care and to adopt.  They recognize that there are states that are putting policies in place that actually drive Christians out of foster care.” In Leviticus 18:22,  the Bible affirms heterosexuality, saying, "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; such a thing is an abomination." High school Worldview listener upset no reference to Veterans Day Last Tuesday was Veterans Day. Genevieve, a high school listener to The Worldview, was disappointed that we failed to acknowledge that special day. President Donald Trump issued a proclamation. He noted, “The story of America is written with the courage, honor, and dedicated service of our veterans.  Through their sacrifice, the fires of freedom burn brightly, our Republic secured, and our way of life made possible.  “For nearly 250 years, their unyielding spirit has carried our Nation through every trial and triumph, ensuring that liberty endures for all time.  This Veterans Day, we show our gratitude and recommit to honor their service, uphold their legacy, and give every veteran the loyalty, respect, and support they have earned and so dearly deserve.” Genevieve, we apologize for the oversight. Michelle Obama: America not ready for female president Former First Lady Michelle Obama has shut down the idea she might one day run for president. While speaking to actress Tracee Ross this month at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Obama insisted the United States is “not ready for a woman” to lead, reports TheWrap.com. Listen. ROSS: “Think that that impacts the room that we've made for a woman to be President.” OBAMA: “Well, as we saw in this past election, sadly, we ain't ready. That's why I'm like, ‘Don't even look at me about running, because you all are lying. You're not ready for a woman. (cheers) You are not. So, don't waste my time. “You know, we got a lot of growing up to do. And there's, sadly, a lot of men who do not feel like they can be led by a woman, and we saw it. What was the question?” (laughter) Perhaps America was not ready for Kamala Harris to be president. Mercy Ships surgeon saves baby's life by removing gigantic tumor And finally, a British surgeon removed a life-threatening tumor from a baby's neck that was as big as her entire face, reports GoodNewsNetwork.org. The lump has been growing since she was just five months old, but when her mother, Aminata, took her to the local hospital in Sierra Leone, West Africa, doctors told her she was too young for surgery. By the time Memunatu was ten months old, her family began to fear the worst until her mother bumped into a volunteer who works for Mercy Ships, a healthcare charity that operates hospitals aboard ships. Providentially, the Global Mercy ship was docked in Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone. When the staff saw how the tumor would eventually suffocate her, they immediately agreed to perform surgery aboard their ship for free. Earlier this year, she was admitted and prepped for the meticulous four-hour surgery performed by Royal London Hospital's Head and Neck Surgeon, Dr. Leo Cheng. He successfully removed the tumor, effectively saving Memunatu's life. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Blind Pakistani Christian man falsely accused of blasphemy against Muhammad Nadeem Masih, a 49-year-old blind Christian in Pakistan, has been arrested and charged with blasphemy against the false prophet Muhammad, punishable by death, reports Morning Star News. Martha Yousaf, his nearly 80-year-old mother, said that Waqas Mazhar, a Muslim man, often harasses her son, sometimes extorting money from him and other times throwing water on him or calling him names. Mazhar, the Muslim, works as a parking contractor in Lahore, where her blind son earns a meager income providing a weighing scale for petty merchants. She said, “Sometimes kindhearted visitors would also give him more money due to his disability, but the park's Muslim workers used to steal it from his pocket.” Some, including Mazhar, had also taken loans of various amounts from the Christian blind man but refused to return the money despite his repeated requests. When Masih went to work on August 21, Mazhar and other mean Muslims refused to let him set up his makeshift stall, roughed him up and took him to the police station where the police, to their shame, mercilessly beat the blind Christian man and forced him to admit to the false blasphemy charge. In John 15:18, 21, Jesus said, “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated Me first. …  They will treat you this way because of My name, for they do not know the One who sent Me.” Human Rights Watch said, “Blasphemy [against Muhammad] accusations are increasingly weaponized to incite mob violence, displace vulnerable communities, and seize their property with impunity.” Pakistan ranked eighth on Open Doors' 2025 World Watch List of the 50 most dangerous countries for Christians. King Charles III strips Prince Andrew of title and housing Last Thursday, King Charles III made a shock announcement  confirming that he will strip Prince Andrew, his brother, of both his title and his housing at the Royal Lodge, a lavish 30-room property, which sits in close proximity to Windsor Castle, reports the New York Post. In Andrew Lownie's biography Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, he documents that during a taxpayer-funded trip to Thailand, “Andrew had 40 prostitutes brought in the space of four days. This was all enabled by diplomats.” Appearing on Good Morning Britain, Lownie said this about Prince Andrew. LOWNIE: “He's been caught lying time and time again. I suddenly found researching my book, you couldn't take a single thing he said without checking it. And I think the King [Charles III] has realized that he hasn't been telling the truth. And so, the evidence against Andrew is overwhelming.” Plus, Virginia Giuffre, who died by suicide earlier this year, claimed in her posthumously-released memoir, Nobody's Girl, that Prince Andrew sexually assaulted her three times when she was 17, which he has denied. Numbers 32:23 says, “Be sure your sin will find you out." Democrat Senator John Fetterman: “We have to be better than this!” On Darkins Breaking News, Democratic U.S. Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania  took issue with his fellow Democrats for voting to shut down the U.S. government 13 times in a row. FETTERMAN:  “We're a Democrat, we're not allowed to just open this up. I mean, then our party has bigger problems than I thought we might have already. That's not controversial. Pay everybody. It's a failure. “And to all of the viewers, I'm apologizing that we can't even get together and just open up our government.” REPORTER: “[Minority Leader Senator Chuck] Schumer said, ‘This gets better politically every day for Democrats.'  What do you say to that?” FETTERMAN:  “Ask the hungry people on Saturday. Americans are not leverage. This is not some game show about who's winning or whatever. We have to be better than this.” As a result of the Democrats' refusal to fund the government, 41 million Americans, who receive food stamps now, will not receive them starting this past Saturday. Plus, the pleas of the largest federal workers' union fell on deaf ears, reports NBC News. Speaker Johnson contrasts Trump's wins with Democrat clowns Appearing on Sean Hannity's TV talk show, House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana, provided a contrast between President Trump's successes of delivering tax cuts, a strong border, a reduction in crime and world peace with the Democrats in the U.S. Senate who have voted 13 times to shut down the government. JOHNSON: “What stands out tonight is the stunning contrast of what we're seeing. History is being made. “Here's President Trump showing peace through strength, using his power and position to bring peace to the Middle East. I mean, a truly massive, historic foreign policy achievement, returning hostages, restoring security to Israel, setting a foundation for lasting peace, and reducing taxes on hard-working Americans at the same time and ending the border crisis and ending the crime crisis, and reducing fraud, waste and abuse in government, and now settling international conflicts all around the globe. “Here are the Democrats on Capitol Hill acting like a bunch of clowns. They're trying to lie to the American people. They're trying to play politics with government funding, and real Americans are being harmed. I think there is such a stark contrast. “I'm not sure there has ever been such a stronger contrast between two political parties, the Republican Party is delivering for the American people and the Democrats trying to make a show out of this.” The 13th U.S. Senate vote on October 28th was 54-45, with only three members of the Democratic caucus voting to reopen the government, reports The Hill. They include Senators John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, Catherine Masto of Nevada, and Angus King of Maine, an independent who caucuses with Democrats.    It needed 60 votes to advance.  The "60-vote rule" in the Senate refers to the cloture vote needed to end a filibuster, which is a tactic that allows the minority party to delay or block legislation.  Initially, after the first cloture rule was adopted in 1917, ending a filibuster required a two-thirds majority or 67 votes. In 1975, the threshold was reduced to the current 60 votes or three-fifths majority. Trump flirts with nuclear option to end Senate filibuster President Donald Trump has flirted with the idea of the so-called nuclear option which would deep-six the cloture vote altogether, enabling the majority party to pass legislation with a simply majority vote. On TruthSocial last Thursday, he wrote, “It is now time for the Republicans to play their ‘TRUMP CARD,' and go for what is called the Nuclear Option — Get rid of the Filibuster, and get rid of it, NOW! “WE are in power, and if we did what we should be doing, it would IMMEDIATELY end this ridiculous, country-destroying ‘SHUT DOWN.'”  However, President Trump does not appear to have enough votes from within the Republican caucus to end the filibuster. The Democratic shutdown is animated, in part, by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York's concern that Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York has a commanding 21 percentage point lead over Schumer in a hypothetical match-up in a Democratic Senatorial primary for 2028, reports Newsweek. This is the second longest government shutdown in American history. The longest one lasted 34 days during the first Trump administration, reports CBS News. 61 Planned Parenthood abortion centers have closed in 2025 And finally, Troy Newman, president of the pro-life group Operation Rescue, had some great news, reports LifeNews.com.  He said, “61 Planned Parenthood locations in total (including referral centers) have shut their doors since our 2024 survey — a record number.” The ripple effect of President Trump's Big, Beautiful Bill is saving lots of babies from abortion. Planned Parenthood was defunded $600 million of taxpayer money for a year which has resulted in these inevitable closures. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Columbian pastor threatened to leave community Christian Solidarity Worldwide reports a pastor in Colombia is under threat of forced displacement.  Pastor Aristides Chocue has worked with the Nasa Evangelical Christian Church in the southwestern part of the country since 2022. Now, an indigenous council is ordering him to leave the community with his family or face punishment.  Despite threats of violence, the pastor said, “I am not afraid. The church tells me to continue, not to leave them. I plan to continue working and trusting in God.” The South American nation is ranked 46th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most difficult countries to be a Christian.  2 Timothy 3:10-12 says, “You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness, my persecutions and sufferings … which persecutions I endured; yet from them all, the Lord rescued me. Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” Trump threatens Columbia with tariffs over illegal drugs Speaking of Colombia, U.S. President Donald Trump said Sunday that he would raise tariffs on the country and cancel subsidies.  President Trump accused Colombia of being complicit in the illicit drug trade, calling their president “an illegal drug leader.” This continues tensions between the U.S. and Latin American countries over the drug trade. President Trump has ordered multiple strikes on alleged drug boats coming from Colombia's neighbor, Venezuela.  Uruguay first Latin American country to legalize euthanasia In other South American news, Uruguay became the first Latin American country to legalize euthanasia by parliamentary vote last Wednesday.  President Yamandú Orsi, a left-wing leader, promised to sign the bill. Colombia and Ecuador have already decriminalized euthanasia through Supreme Court decision. And Chile's left-wing president is also pushing for the legalization of this form of killing.  Canadian doctors killed 90,000 patients through legalized euthanasia In North America, euthanasia deaths in Canada rose to about 16,500 last year. That's 5% of all deaths in the country.  Canadian doctors have killed nearly 90,000 people since the country legalized euthanasia in 2016. In many cases, the reason given for the assisted suicide was simply “frailty.”  Planned Parenthood closes 7 California killing centers In the United States, Planned Parenthood announced it is closing seven locations in California.  The abortion giant has announced the closure of 50 locations across America so far this year.  The closures come as Republicans push for the defunding of Planned Parenthood. For example, President Trump's “One Big Beautiful Bill” defunds the abortion giant for a year. Bible sales up 36% following Charlie Kirk's assassination Following the tragic murder of Christian activist Charlie Kirk last month, Bible sales have surged. In September, 2.4 million Bibles were sold, up 36% compared to the same month last year. Interest in the Bible rose especially among the 18-to-34-year-old demographic, the age group that Kirk often engaged with on college campuses.  His widow, Erika Kirk, commented on this spiritual awakening during her speech at his memorial service in Phoenix, Arizona last month.  Listen. ERIKA KIRK: “This past week, we saw people open a Bible for the first time in a decade. We saw people pray for the first time since they were children. We saw people go to a church service for the first time in their entire lives.” (applause) The late Susannah Spurgeon sent 200,000 Christian books to needy pastors And finally, today is the anniversary of the death of Susannah Spurgeon.  Susannah was born on January 15, 1832 and died on October 22, 1903. In 1856, she married the prominent English Baptist preacher, Charles Haddon Spurgeon. They were married for 36 years until Charles' death in 1892.  The couple had twin sons -- Charles Jr. and Thomas in 1857, both of whom grew up to preach the Gospel. By the late 1860s though, Susannah became chronically ill. Nevertheless, she continued her steadfast support for her husband's ministry. Susannah also started a Book Fund ministry for needy pastors, sending out over 200,000 volumes by the time of her death.   Susannah's great-great-granddaughter, Susie Spurgeon Cochrane, wrote of her, “When there were good times, she gave [God] the praise, and when there were trials, she fell on her knees before Him. Again and again she went to the Fountain of Living Water and drank deeply from it. Then, and only then, was she able to do all that she did in her life.” In John 7:37-38, Jesus said, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Chinese Communists arrested 70 Christians Chinese Communists arrested over 70 Christians recently in a major crackdown on churches. The operation began two months ago and involved over 400 police officers. They targeted Christians involved in Bible study groups in east China.  One local Christian told Open Doors, “We have not seen such a massive force used to address church-related matters. This is something that warrants serious attention.” China is ranked 15th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most difficult countries to be a Christian.  Psalm 14:4 asks, “Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up My people as they eat bread, and do not call on the LORD?” Trump's 20-point plan to end Israeli-Gaza War On Monday, U.S. President Donald Trump announced a 20-point plan to end the war in Gaza. The plan involves the ending of hostilities between Israel and Hamas, the Muslim terrorist group, returning of hostages held by Hamas, and providing humanitarian aid to Gaza. The plan calls for a temporary transitional government over Gaza and an economic development plan to rebuild Gaza.   Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to the plan. Hamas leaders are reportedly leaning toward accepting the plan. War Secretary Pete Hegseth: Out with the woke, in with the warrior U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth addressed the military's most senior leaders yesterday at the Marine Corps Base in Quantico, Virginia. Hegseth announced 10 new directives, shifting the department from a “woke” to a “warrior” culture. He described what makes a good military leader.  HEGSETH: “If I've learned one core lesson in my eight months in this job, it's that personnel is policy. The best way to take care of troops is to give them good leaders committed to the war-fighting culture of the department. Not perfect leaders, good leaders.  Competent, qualified, professional, agile, aggressive, innovative, risk-taking, apolitical, faithful to their oath and to the Constitution.” Secretary Hegseth addressed the importance of rigorous physical standards for soldiers. HEGSETH: “When it comes to any job that requires physical power to perform in combat, those physical standards must be high and gender neutral. If women can make it, excellent! If not, it is what it is. If that means no women qualify for some combat jobs, so be it. That is not the intent, but it could be the result. So be it. “It will also mean that weak men won't qualify because we're not playing games. This is combat. This is life or death. As we all know, this is you versus an enemy hell-bent on killing you. To be an effective, lethal fighting force, you must trust that the warrior alongside you in battle is capable, truly, physically capable, of doing what is necessary under fire.” He asked whether any of the military leaders would want one of their sons to become a soldier and serve alongside unqualified soldiers. HEGSETH: “Would you want him serving with fat or unfit or under trained troops? Or alongside people who can't meet basic standards in a unit where leaders were promoted for reasons other than merit, performance and war fighting?  This means at the War Department, first and foremost, we must restore a ruthless, dispassionate and common sense application of standards.” And Secretary Hegseth explained that the War Department will no longer tolerate the distracting woke nonsense. HEGSETH: “This administration has done a great deal from day one to remove the social justice, politically correct, and toxic ideological garbage that had infected our department. To rip out the politics. No more identity months, DEI offices, dudes in dresses. No more climate change worship, no more division, distraction, or gender delusions. No more debris. “As I've said before and will say again, we are done with that … I've made it my mission to uproot the obvious distractions that made us less capable and less lethal.” YouTube reinstates conservative accounts banned over anti-COVID shot posts Last Tuesday, Google announced that it will reinstate YouTube accounts it banned for political speech. Google said it previously removed YouTube content related to the COVID-19 pandemic after being pressured by the Biden administration.  Google's parent company, Alphabet, wrote in a letter, “YouTube values conservative voices on its platform and recognizes that these creators have extensive reach and play an important role in civic discourse." 52% say sex outside heterosexual marriage is sin; 49% say abortion is sin Here's more data from the State of Theology study study by Lifeway Research and Ligonier Ministries.  Just under half of U.S. adults believe the Bible is 100% accurate in all that it teaches. Sixty percent say the Bible is the highest authority for what they believe. And 50% believe the Bible has the authority to tell us what we must do.  On moral issues, 52% of Americans say that sex outside of traditional marriage is a sin. Forty-nine percent agree that abortion is a sin. Fifty-four percent oppose transgenderism. And 46% oppose homosexual behavior. Psalm 19:7-8 reminds us, “The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.” Average American's FICO score is 715 FICO released its inaugural Score Credit Insights Report this month. The report found the national average FICO credit score is 715. However, young consumers are struggling by comparison with an average FICO score of 676. Gen Z borrowers experienced the largest average score decrease of any age group, falling three points year-over-year.  A key driver for this is student loan debt. Over a third of young consumers have student loans, compared to 17% of the total population. Planned Parenthood closed it's 78,000 square foot abortion mill in Houston And finally, Planned Parenthood officially closed what was the largest abortion mill in North America yesterday.  Back in July, the abortion giant announced it would close two locations in Houston, Texas. One of them was its 78,000-square-foot Prevention Park facility.  The Houston Coalition for Life hosted a vigil outside the building to honor the estimated 110,000+ unborn children killed by abortion there. Shawn Carney, the CEO of 40 Days for Life, said the ministry has prayed outside the mega abortion mill since 2006. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Nigerian Muslims kill and injure Christian farmers On August 27th, when five Nigerian Christians went to check on their farms  located in Bauchi State, they found Fulani Muslim herdsmen grazing their cattle on the land owned by the Christians.  The argument led to the Muslims killing a Christian farmer and wounding three others, reports Morning Star News. Rev. Samson Habila, local chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, said, “We solicit that we all go on our knees for prayers to our loving God to bring this conflict to a swift end for the betterment of our land and people.” In a separate incident on the same day, Muslim herdsmen assaulted two Christian women and a teenager who were on their way back from their farm. Naomi Sabo, was cut on her hand with a machete, her teenage son was cut with a machete, and a third victim, another Christian woman, had her ear cut off by the Muslims. In a span of two weeks in late August, hundreds of Nigerian Christian farmers lost their crops to Muslim Fulani herdsmen who took their cattle to graze on them. According to Open Doors' 2025 World Watch List, Nigeria is the 7th most dangerous country on Earth for Christians. Of the 4,476 Christians killed for their faith worldwide during the reporting period, 3,100 of those Christians -- or 69% -- lived in Nigeria. Russia launched 800 drones against Ukraine Russia has stepped up its drone attacks on Ukraine, in its largest salvo since the beginning of the war, reports KGOU Radio. The aggressor launched 800 drones over the weekend — hitting the government building in Kyiv for the first time. Japanese Prime Minister resigns Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba has announced his resignation.   Japan's economy is still hurting. The nation's real Gross Domestic Product is just now recovering to 2019 levels, after an extended 5-year recession. Japan's national debt is the highest in the world, at 255% of GDP.   The Japanese government's proposed budget for 2026 represents another 8% increase, year over year.  Indeed, 27% of the budget is set aside just to service the nation's debt. G7 vs BRICS The Group of 7 or “G7” nations includes Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.  BRICS is now recognized as the competing force opposing the G7 nations. BRICS includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates. In a BRICS summit, spearheaded by Brazil's socialist president, Luiz Lula, the mostly southern and eastern world powers worked on what they called “joint responses to tariffs and sanctions under the Trump administration and discussions on a multipolar world order.” Thousands of Brazilian protestors object to trial of Jair Bolsonaro Tens of thousands of Brazilians have taken the streets over in the last week, protesting the trial of Brazil's former president, Jair Bolsonaro, reports the Associated Press. He is facing 46 years in prison for allegedly supporting an attempt to overturn the 2022 election. Brazil's Supreme Court is expecting to sentence the former president later this week. Bolsonaro was a pro-life president, and opposed homosexual marriage for his country. The current president, Luiz Lula, has committed himself to the pro-abortion and LGBTQ agenda for the nation since his election in 2022. 47% of Brazilians receive welfare In a related story, 47% of Brazilians receive a welfare check from the government. The most welfare dependent states are in the north and northeast of the country. These twelve states record more welfare recipients than jobs among their residents. The socialist candidate in the last election, Lula de Silva, won 10 out of 12 of these states. He only won the votes with three other states in the election. God is sovereign over all. Jesus told Pontius Pilate, “You would have no authority over Me at all unless it had been given you from above.” Company that profits from porn fined $5 million The Canadian company Aylo has been fined $5 million by the US Federal Trade Commission for portraying certain egregious forms of sexual sin on its websites (which include PornHub).   This amounts to a slap on the wrist for a company operating on an estimated $700 million of annual income. That's about 0.7%. The Federal Trade Commission has charged the company with allowing non-consensual and child-abuse related material on its websites. Democrats blocking all Trump's civilian nominees The U.S. government has come to loggerheads. Thus far, not a single Trump civilian nominee has been confirmed by a voice vote through the US Senate — due to Democrat filibusters. That's the first time this has occurred in the nation's government in a century. That compares to 65% of Trump's nominees clearing the Senate by voice vote in his first term and 57% of Joe Biden's nominees confirmed by voice vote.   GOP Senate Majority Leader John Thune is considering pulling the nuclear option, or a rule change, to speed up the approval process, according to the Daily Caller. Few Americans, Christians included, believe we are sinful American Christians are pretty much agreed on this statement: “Sin is real, but people are basically good at heart.” That according to the latest George Barna survey. The pollsters discovered that 82% of Catholics and 70% of self-identified born-again Christians believe in “The basic goodness of humanity.” And only 57% of Catholics and 85% of self-identified born again Christians believe Romans 3:23 — that “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”  Meryl Streep to voice Aslan in new “Chronicles of Narnia” And finally, Netflix plans to release the next movie installment of C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia story in November of 2026. Filming began last month which included a well-publicized street chase of Jadis, “the White Witch” last weekend. Brace yourself. Greta Gerwig, best known for directing the feminist hit film “Barbie” released in 2023, is directing this next Narnia release. Not surprisingly, Meryl Streep is slated to voice Aslan.  (The character of Aslan, Lewis's Lion, is meant as a personification of Jesus Christ). (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Turkish persecution of Christians heats up The Turkish Association of Protestant Churches reports Christians in Turkey faced increased persecution last year. The persecution often came in the form of hateful speech either in person or online. And, iIn two cases, assailants fired guns at church buildings.  Turkey also banned many foreign Christians from entering the country in recent years. Nine of these Christians appealed the ban. However, a court ruled against them and published their names. Media outlets branded the Christians as enemies of the state. Many social media comments called for them to be put to death. Turkey is ranked 45th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most difficult countries worldwide to be a Christian.  2.5 million acres of European Union burned The European Union is experiencing its worst wildfire season since records began in 2006. Nearly 2.5 million acres of land have burned so far this year. Spain and Portugal account for over two-thirds of that area. Between the two countries, over 1.5 million acres have burned with much of it happening in just two weeks. Birth rates in England and Wales continue to fall The U.K. Office for National Statistics reported last week that birth rates fell to a new low in England and Wales. Other developed countries are also seeing low birth rates like the United States, France, and Italy. However, there appears to be a political gap in fertility. John Burn-Murdoch of the Financial Times wrote, “From the US to Europe and beyond, people who identify as conservative are having almost as many children as they were decades ago. The decline is overwhelmingly among those on the progressive left, in effect nudging each successive generation's politics further to the right.” Quebec, Canada to ban public prayers Quebec, Canada's largest province, is planning to ban public prayer. Quebec's Secularism Minister Jean-François Roberge said, “The premier of Quebec has given me the mandate to strengthen secularism . . . This fall, we will therefore introduce a bill to strengthen secularism in Quebec, in particular by banning street prayers.” The move comes in response to Muslim prayer gatherings. However, it would apply to all religions including Christianity. Nearly 65% of Quebec's population identifies as Christian. Psalm 10:4 says, “The wicked, in the haughtiness of his countenance, does not seek [the Lord]. All his thoughts are, ‘There is no God.'” Univ of Michigan fired Christian doctor who objected to transgender surgeries In the United States, a federal court ruled in favor of a Christian in a religious liberty case. Back in 2021, the University of Michigan Health-West fired Valerie Kloosterman for her beliefs. The Christian physician assistant refused to support transgender procedures or pronoun usage. The latest ruling allows her case against the university to move forward.  Kayla Toney, counsel at First Liberty Institute, said, “Today's decision is a reckoning for institutions that discriminate and punish caring people of faith.” Bill Gates funds embalming of deceased newborns to harvest organs Modernity News reports the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is funding a new gruesome project. The project involves embalming deceased newborn babies who died in neonatal intensive care units. Researchers would harvest tissues and organs from the babies for artificial intelligence development. LifeNews noted, “The Gates Foundation's involvement is seen as particularly troubling given its history of funding abortion.” 150th anniversary of Japan Bible Society And finally, the Japan Bible Society is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. In the 1870s, American and European Bible societies established branches in Japan. These early Bible societies translated the Scriptures into Japanese in the 1880s. Their work laid the foundation for the current Japan Bible Society. Bible distribution in Japan picked up in the 1940s as 2.3 million copies of the Bible were distributed. This time for a 16-year-old Christian girl kidnapped and forced into sex slavery by a Muslim in the Punjab district. She was rescued by court order on August 14th. This is just one of thousands of these cases occurring each year, where girls and women are kidnapped and forced into conversions, marriages, and prostitution. Pakistan is the seventh worst nation in the world on The Worldview's International Morality Index, and the eighth worst on Open Doors' World Watch List. Finnish politician tried third time for condemning perversion A Finnish Member of Parliament, Päivi Räsänen, is back in court this month, after already being acquitted twice for the so-called hate crime of calling homosexual relationships “sinful.” Räsänen has been charged with “agitation against a minority group” under the Finnish criminal code addressing “war crimes and crimes against humanity.” She's been under attack for seven years. This time the prosecutor is taking the case to Finland's Supreme Court. Afghanistan earthquake claims 800 lives In God's providence, Afghanistan has been hit by a third major earthquake since the Taliban took over, reports Reuters. This has claimed 800 lives and wounded 2,800 more, mostly in the Kunar Province. The 2022 quake killed over 1,000 people and the 2023 quake killed over 2,000 people. Russia's Putin, India's Modi and China's Jinping met in summit The new Axis power base was further solidified yesterday in a meeting which took place in Tianjin, China, with the presidents of China, India, and Russia — Presidents Xi Jinping, Narendra Modi, and Vladimir Putin. This was Modi's first visit to China in seven years. Modi expressed his desire to Putin that the two nations deepen cooperation “in all sectors.”  The meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization boasts “the world's largest regional organization” including nations with a combined economic output of nearly $30 trillion. That's just over the United States' annual Gross Domestic Product. Russia's Putin called the alliance the beginnings of a “new system” of security in Eurasia.  The Shanghai Cooperation Organization consists of the communist, Hindu, and Islamic states of Russia, Belarus, China, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Chinese Navy boasts more warships than America The BBC reports that the Chinese Navy has exceeded America's Navy in number of warships -- 234 to 219. However, the Chinese are still behind the United States in overall tonnage and aircraft carriers.  Importantly, the Chinese shipyards have upwards of 200 times the ship-building capacity of America at this point. Brazilian socialists want to lock up Jair Bolsonaro Socialist elements in the Brazilian government are looking at locking up the nation's previous president Jair Bolsonaro for 30 years. Bolsonaro is accused of staging a coup after disagreeing with the election results in January of 2023.   The Associated Press reports that the evidence includes “an unsigned document that sought to invalidate the election and his alleged push for supporters to destroy government buildings in Brasilia on January 8, 2023.”  Low Scottish birth rate Scotland's birth rate is the lowest on record — hitting 1.23 children per woman. The nation's abortion rate is 17.9 per 1,000 women. Out of 50 countries, that's the fifth lowest birth rate in Europe. Only Malta, Spain, Lithuania, and Italy have lower birth rates.  Deuteronomy 7:12 and 14a makes a promise to a nation. “Because you listen to these judgments, and keep and do them. …You shall be blessed above all peoples; there shall not be a male or female barren among you or among your livestock.” Not so much for Scotland. Vice President JD Vance defends prayer U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance defended prayer as a proper response to the recent massacre at the Minneapolis, Minnesota Catholic School. His X post explained that, “We pray because our hearts are broken. We pray because we know God listens. We pray because we know that God works in mysterious ways, and can inspire us to further action.” Vance was responding to Jen Psaki, Joe Biden's previous press secretary, who skeptically asserted that “Prayer is not freaking enough. Prayers does [sic] not end school shootings. Prayers do not make parents feel safe sending their kids to school. Prayer does not bring these kids back.” In addition to Vice President Vance, CNN's conservative commentator Scott Jennings defended prayer as well. Listen. JENNINGS: “I think it's wrong, frankly, to vilify or attack people of faith. I think ‘thoughts and prayers' are the most solid on days of tragedy for people who live their faith every day. And I think on a day like today, particularly in a church community, there are probably people praying harder for comfort today than they have ever prayed in their life. “And I heard others on the Left today go down this line of attack against people of faith, sort of denigrating the idea that they might want to pray today.” Proverbs 28:9 reminds us that “If one turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.” And Proverbs 15:29 says, “The LORD is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous.” Chip and Joanna Gaines roll out “LGBTQ roller skating show” The reality show pop-star couple and known-to- be professing Christians, Chip Gaines and his wife, Joanna, are under fire again. This time, they are producing a program on their Magnolia Network featuring what has been termed “an LGBTQ+ roller skating reality show” called “Roller Jam.” Joanna Gaines called it “a show the whole family can watch together,” according to Protestia and FaithWire.  Office mortgages hit record 11.7% delinquency rate In economic news, delinquency rates on office mortgages in the United States have hit a record 11.7%, exceeding the last record set during the 2008 recession. That delinquency rate was only 1.6% just two years ago. Silver and gold keep climbing According to TradingView.com, silver surged to $40.76 per ounce and gold hit $3,475 per ounce on Monday — record highs for the metals. Married mothers happier than childless single women And finally, no surprise here. The Institute for Family Studies surveyed 3,000 women and found that married mothers were more likely to enjoy life.   The report documented that 47% of married mothers say their lives are enjoyable most or all the time, compared to 34% of unmarried, childless women who say the same thing. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus International plea to release 7 pastors in Eritrea, Africa A consortium of charities is calling for the release of seven pastors in Eritrea who have been imprisoned for over 20 years. Since 2002, the East African nation outlawed many religious practices. Thousands of people have subsequently faced imprisonment, including Protestants. A country expert told Open Doors, “Anything done by any churches or its members [which is] seen as a threat to the absolute control currently in place will be subjected to punishment.” Eritrea is known as the “North Korea of Africa.” The government infamously holds some prisoners in shipping containers. Eritrea is ranked sixth on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most difficult places to be a Christian.   Evangelical churches in Spain on the rise Evangelical Focus reports that Evangelical churches are the most numerous of “minority” religions in Spain. Evangelical churches now account for 56% of non-Catholic places of worship in the Catholic-majority country. The second most numerous minority religion is Islam. Muslims have the most places of worship in smaller municipalities with less than 5,000 inhabitants. Meanwhile, Evangelical churches are more numerous in municipalities with 5,000 to 100,000 people.  Twisted trans killed 2 Catholic school students, injures 17 Tragically, a twisted transgendered psychotic, 23-year-old Robert Westman, who pretended to be female, shot and killed two children yesterday morning at 8:30am at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, Minnesota, reports The Blaze. The dead kids were 8 and 10 years old. Another 17 people were injured, including 14 children between the ages of 6 and 14, and three adults who ere all parishioners in their 80s. 10-year-old Weston Halsne, a fifth grader, described the deadly school shooting he witnessed at the beginning of the Catholic mass. HALSNE: “Yeah, it was like, maybe, like three minutes in, the first shot fired. … They shot through the stained glass windows, I think. And it was really scary. It was, like, right beside me. I was, like, two seats away from the stained glass windows. The shots were, like, right next to me. I think I got, like, gunpowder on my neck.” REPORTER: “When you heard the shots, what went through your head?” HALSNE: “The first one, I was, like, ‘What is that?' And when I heard it again, I just ran under the pew, and then I covered my head. My friend Victor, like, saved me, though, because he laid on top of me. My friend got hit in the back. He went to the hospital.” REPORTER:  “What went through your mind when you saw that?” HALSNE: “I was super scared for him, but I think now he's okay.” REPORTER:  “What do you want to say to your friend who helped protect you?” HALSNE: “He's really brave, and I hope he's good in the hospital. I'm praying for you.” The man, who legally changed his name from Robert to “Robin” in 2020, then killed himself. President Donald Trump responded immediately on Truth Social. He wrote, “I have been fully briefed on the tragic shooting in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The FBI quickly responded and they are on the scene. The White House will continue to monitor this terrible situation. Please join me in praying for everyone involved!” Earlier yesterday morning, Robert Westman allegedly released a deeply disturbing 11-minute-long YouTube video which I watched in its entirety. Amidst the profanity, he featured a picture of Jesus in the middle of a shooting target and a crudely drawn map of the church where the mass would take place. Westman revealed a massive amount of ammunition and long guns displayed on the bed, which were covered in his own white sharpie graffiti. As he narrated the video in a series of almost demonically-driven voices, he panned guns with the words “Where is your God?” and “For the children” and “No remorse” and “Rip and tear” scrawled across the guns.  Other egregious messages include “6 million wasn't enough” and “Kill Trump now.”  The shirt which he planned to wear during his forthcoming shooting rampage said, “Let's do this before the anxiety kicks in.” Isaiah 59:7 says, “Their feet rush into sin; they are swift to shed innocent blood. They pursue evil schemes; acts of violence mark their ways.” West Virginian parents allowed to opt kids out of vaccines West Virginia's Republican Governor Patrick Morrisey signed an executive order earlier this year to protect religious freedom and parental rights.  The order allows parents to opt out of schools' vaccination requirements on religious grounds. Not surprisingly, the leftist American Civil Liberties Union issued a legal challenge. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced his support for the order on Monday. He wrote on X, “I urge state legislators to support the Governor's leadership and protect these fundamental rights. At @HHSgov, we will enforce conscience protections and defend every family's right to make informed health decisions.” Texas public schools will display Ten Commandments On Monday, Texas Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton ordered public schools in the state to display the Ten Commandments. A recent court order blocked some school districts from displaying the Ten Commandments. But Paxton has ordered all districts not affected by the litigation to have the displays up by next week. Paxton wrote, “From the beginning, the Ten Commandments have been irrevocably intertwined with America's legal, moral, and historical heritage. … The woke radicals seeking to erase our nation's history will be defeated. I will not back down from defending the virtues and values that built this country.” In Deuteronomy 6:6-9, God said, “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. … You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” Cracker Barrel keeps logo but pushes sexual perversion And finally, Cracker Barrel announced Tuesday it will keep its classic logo after significant backlash. The restaurant chain planned to sanitize its logo by removing the famous “old timer” figure leaning against a barrel. The drawing is based on Uncle Herschel McCartney, the real uncle of Cracker Barrel founder Dan Evins.   The company's stock dropped nearly $100 million last week in response to the rebranding.   President Donald Trump praised the decision to keep the classic logo. So did U.S. GOP Congressman Byron Donalds, a Republican representative for Florida.  He wrote on X, “In college, I worked at @CrackerBarrel in Tallahassee. I even gave my life to Christ in their parking lot. Their logo was iconic and their unique restaurants were a fixture of American culture. No one asked for this woke rebrand. It's time to Make Cracker Barrel Great Again.” D.C. Draino tweeted, “Oh, and keep the original interiors. We want to eat in Grandma's home, not Grandma's nursing home.” And Brandon Wilinkson, who featured screenshots of Cracker Barrel's LGBTQ+ Alliance logo, tweeted, “You want us to come back?  Scrap the woke DEI-pandering policies and fire the CEO. Until that happens, my family won't be coming back. You forget who your customers are. They aren't woke liberals in the cities. The country's northern state of Uttarakhand amended its anti-conversion law last week. Violations are now punishable by life imprisonment. The law also cracks down on sharing one's faith through social media. Rev. Vijayesh Lal told Morning Star News, “These provisions, with penalties up to life imprisonment, represent some of India's harshest anti-conversion measures and could turn ordinary conversations about belief into criminal acts.” Please pray for the church in India. The country is ranked 11th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most difficult places to be a Christian.  Trump imposes 50% tariffs on India over funding Russian war The U.S. imposed new tariffs on exports from India starting today. The tariffs come in response to India's continued purchasing of Russian oil. President Donald Trump's levies on Indian exports are at 50% now. India has become one of the top buyers of Russian oil since Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022. The Trump administration is accusing India of effectively funding Russia's war through its oil purchases.  5,000 Irish march for Jesus Around 5,000 people joined the March for Jesus in Belfast, Northern Ireland over the weekend. Rev. John Ahern organized the event. He told Christian Daily International, “As the people of God, if we're willing to humble ourselves and pray, as the Bible says in 2 Chronicles 7:14, and turn from our wicked ways, God has promised to hear from Heaven, forgive our sin and heal our land.” The event builds on last year's march in Dublin where about 12,000 Christians participated. Another march in Dublin is scheduled for next month.  2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” Minnesota Christian colleges allowed to offer free credit to high schoolers A U.S. District Court ruled in favor of faith-based colleges in Minnesota last Friday. Previously, the state barred such colleges from offering free college credit to high school students. Minnesota parents successfully challenged the decision with the help of The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty.  Diana Thomson, senior counsel at Becket, said, “Minnesota tried to cut off educational opportunities to thousands of high schoolers simply for their faith. That's not just unlawful—it's shameful. This ruling is a win for families who won't be strong-armed into abandoning their beliefs, and a sharp warning to politicians who target them.” D.C. hospital halts transgender drugs on minors ABC News reports that Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C. will no longer offer transgender drugs to minors.  It's the latest hospital in the U.S. to stop offering so-called “gender transition” drugs. Other hospitals to make similar decisions include Yale Medicine, Kaiser Permanente, Children's Hospital Los Angeles, and UChicago Medicine.  These decisions follow President Trump's executive order to end federal funding for transgender procedures on minors. U.S. gov't owns 10% of Intel stocks Last Friday, Intel announced an $8.9 billion investment in the company's stock by the U.S. government. This means the government will own about 10% of the computer chip manufacturer. The deal converts government grants into equity share in the company.  On Truth Social, President Trump wrote, “The United States paid nothing for these Shares, and the Shares are now valued at approximately $11 Billion Dollars. This is a great Deal for America and, also, a great Deal for INTEL.” 100-year-long German prayer chain And finally, this week is the anniversary of when a Christian community in Herrnhut, Germany began a round-the-clock “prayer chain.” The community started after Count Nikolaus Ludwig von Zinzendorf opened his estate to Protestant refugees. On August 27, 1727, dozens in the community committed to pray, in turns, every hour of every day. The prayer chain reportedly lasted over one hundred years. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Muslim Nigerians killed 7,000 Christians this year A Nigerian-based nonprofit reports Islamic extremists have killed over 7,000 Christians in the country so far this year. The International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law also found that nearly 8,000 Christians were violently seized and abducted.  The report notes this translates into “an average of 30 Christian deaths per day and more than one per hour.” Since 2009, Jihadists in Nigeria have killed over 125,000 Christians and destroyed nearly 20,000 church buildings.  Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ in Nigeria. The country is ranked seventh on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most difficult countries to be a Christian.  Psalm 14:4 asks, “Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and do not call on the LORD?” Absurd charges dropped against Scottish pro-life grandmother Authorities in Scotland dropped charges against a 75-year-old grandmother who was arrested for holding a sign near an abortion mill.  Back in February, Rose Docherty held a sign that read: “Coercion is a crime, here to talk, only if you want.” Officials arrested her for violating a “buffer zone” law that restricts free expression near abortion mills. Docherty reacted to her case being dropped. She said, “This is a victory not just for me, but for everyone in Scotland who believes we should be free to hold a peaceful conversation.” Conservative Canadian Pierre Poilievre wins election In Canada, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre (pronounced PAH-lee-ev) won a special election in the province of Alberta on Monday.  Poilievre heads back to Canada's parliament after losing his seat earlier this year. He will continue his work as the opposition leader against Canada's ruling Liberal Party. Listen to comments from Poilievre. POILIEVRE: “We will work together. We will fight together. We will sacrifice together to restore the opportunity that our grandparents left for us, so that we can leave it for our grandchildren, so that we can once again restore a country that is strong, self-reliant and sovereign. May God keep our land glorious and free.” Trump wants to end mail-in ballots In the United States, President Donald Trump said Monday that he wants to end mail-in ballots as well as voting machines. Listen to comments from Trump.  TRUMP:  “You can never have a real democracy with mail in ballots. We, as a Republican Party, are going to do everything possible that we get rid of mail-in ballots. We're going to start with an executive order, that's being written right now by the best lawyers in the country, to end mail-in ballots because they're corrupt.” Trump wrote on Truth Social, “With their HORRIBLE Radical Left policies, like Open Borders, Men Playing in Women's Sports, Transgender and ‘WOKE' for everyone, and so much more, Democrats are virtually Unelectable without using this completely disproven Mail-In SCAM.” Bank of America will stop "debanking" conservatives The New York Post reports that Bank of America scrapped a rule used to “debank” conservatives. Major banks have also used the rule to deny services to religious groups, especially Evangelical ones.  JP Morgan Chase dropped the rule last year. Bank of America finally followed suit.  Jeremy Tedesco with Alliance Defending Freedom said, “Over the past two years, ADF and our partners in both the private and public sectors have repeatedly engaged with Bank of America's leadership to advocate for this change.” Fewer Americans are moving The Wall Street Journal reports that U.S. domestic migration rates are down. Only 7.9% of Americans relocated to a new town or city last year, down from about 20% in the 1950s and 60s. The rate has been steadily declining since then. People are also moving less within their own county. That rate is down 47% over the past three decades.  The falling domestic migration rates are associated with high mortgage rates, dual-income households, an aging population, and remote job opportunities.  Church-engaged Christians have less stress, anxiety, and loneliness And finally, the American Bible Society released the fifth chapter of its State of Bible: USA 2025 report. The chapter measured church engagement as the level of a person's involvement in the life, mission, and community of a local church. Only 34% of self-identified Christians attend church weekly. In terms of generations, Gen Z had the lowest levels of church engagement. Women, married people, Evangelicals, and people in small cities were more likely to be highly engaged with their church. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson 1,500 Christians hiding in Somalia, Africa International Christian Concern reports that there are still at least 1,500 Christian believers hiding in Somalia, Africa. This country is the second most dangerous place on earth for Christians, according to the World Watch List.  Somali Christians are often killed, on the spot, when their faith is discovered – murdered either by Islamic militants or even their own family. Somalia is also the sixth poorest nation in Africa, and the highest percentage of Muslims of any nation in the world with 99.8% of the population identifying as Muslim. The only possible exception is the population on the island of Maldives, located 470 miles off the coast of India in the Indian Ocean. Citizens there are required to nominally follow Sunni Islam. So, technically it is 100% Muslim.  However, a 2020 census revealed that 0.29% identify as Christian. Socialists lost in Bolivian election The socialists lost ground big time in Bolivia's election over the weekend.  The socialist candidate, Eduardo del Castillo, only took 3% of the vote. The more conservative candidate, Jorge “Tuto” Quiroga, took 30.4%. And the more centrist candidate, Paz Pereira, captured 30.7% of the vote, at last count. A run-off will be in the works. Psalm 75:6-7 is clear that God is sovereign over the nations. “Exaltation comes neither from the east nor from the west nor from the south.  But God is the Judge: He puts down one, and exalts another.” Brazilian Supreme Court put Jair Bolsonaro under house arrest The Brazilian Supreme Court has resumed its campaign to silence Jair Bolsonaro, the previous president and conservative leader of the South American country. The court ordered his house arrest, after Bolsonaro addressed a crowd by cell phone.  His alleged crime was that he said, “Good afternoon, Copacabana. Good afternoon, my Brazil, a hug to everyone. This is for our freedom.” U.S. State Department Deputy Secretary Christopher Landau lambasted Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes.  Landau called the court's actions “unbridled Orwellian impulses … dragging his Court and his country into the uncharted territory of a judicial dictatorship.” Putin wants 20% of Ukrainian territory under Russian control President Donald Trump met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy yesterday at the White House, in hopes of working a peace deal in the Russian-Ukrainian war, reports The Epoch Times. Zelenskyy was quite reverential, unlike his last visit to the White House, where he angered Vice President Vance and President Trump alike. ZELENSKYY: “Thank you very much for your efforts, personal efforts to stop killings and stop this war. Thank you.” President Trump seemed hopeful, referencing a trilateral agreement between Russia, Ukraine, and the United States. TRUMP: “If everything works out well today, we'll have a trilat. And I think there will be a reasonable chance of ending the war when we do that.” At issue is Russian President Vladimir Putin's insistence that Russia retain 20% of Ukrainian territory now under Russian dominance. Trump has signaled on Truth Social that “Ukraine must be willing to lose some territory to Russia.” Also, Trump is pressing Ukraine to abandon any commitment to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization or NATO.  Last week, Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine would not be giving up land to the “occupier.”  Isaiah 2:3-4 reminds us “[The God of Jacob] will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. He shall judge between the nations, and rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.” Newsmax ordered to pay $67 million to Dominion voting machines The conservative news organization, Newsmax, has agreed to pay Dominion voting machines $67 million for suggesting the company had rigged the 2020 election in which President Donald Trump lost to then Democrat candidate Joe Biden. Newsmax issued a statement complaining that the Delaware judge presiding over the case had not offered a fair trial. And Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy noted that “The actions taken against Newsmax, and earlier against Fox News, represent a direct attack on free speech and a free press.” He also encouraged all businesses to leave Delaware, a liberal bastion in the U.S.   Back in 2023, Fox News was saddled with a $790 million payout in a similar lawsuit.  The almost $1 billion was quite a take for Dominion, a company earning less than $100 million a year, per an estimate from CBS News.  Stock valuation through the roof Stock valuation is way, way high on the S&P stock index.  Price-to-earnings ratios are scraping 30 at 29.88, the highest since 2020 and the 2009 recession. The price-to-earnings ratio is the ratio of a company's share or stock price to the company's earnings per share.  Price-to-earnings ratios averaged about 15 for a hundred years, prior to the stock market craziness of the 2010s and 2020s. The NASDAQ 100 price-to-earnings ratio is 42, the highest in recorded history. Another index, known as the Buffett Indicator, comparing the valuation of the 5,000 largest companies to the Gross Domestic Product is 210.11%, the highest in history. Before the 2009 recession, the Buffett Indicator  hit a high of 109%, and before the dot-com crash, the indicator hit an unprecedented 135%.  270 million babies killed by in vitro fertilization And finally, Life Site News reports that 270 million babies have been aborted by the in vitro fertilization procedure since the idea was conceived in 1978. The calculation is based on the estimation of 16 embryonic children killed for every live child born.  About 17 million children have been produced by the IVF procedure. Those 270 million IVF abortions add to about 65 million legalized abortions since 1973, and millions more by the abortifacient intrauterine device or IUD, and other abortifacients. This comes after a string of attacks on Christian buildings in the Southeast Asian country.  The Conference of Indonesian Catholic Bishops said, “Any act of intimidation, violence, or unilateral restriction of religious activities violates the law and undermines the fundamental values of life together as citizens of the same nation.” Indonesia is not currently on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most difficult countries to be a Christian. However, it has appeared on that list in previous years. Anglican Church of Nigeria horrified by lesbian bishop in Wales The Anglican Church of Nigeria cut ties with the Anglican Church of Wales over its election of an openly lesbian archbishop named Cherry Vann who is in a sexual relationship with Wendy Diamond. Rev. Henry Ndukuba leads the Anglican Church in Nigeria. He said, “The Church of Nigeria believes that this moment calls for prayer for the Church of Wales, hoping that the Church of England will not follow in her steps. We should hold them in our prayers with a clear message that hope lies only in true repentance and godliness.” To its credit, The Anglican Church of Nigeria previously severed ties with the Episcopal Church in the United States over a similar situation.  2 Timothy 4:3-4 warns, “For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” British pro-lifer targeted a third time for praying outside abortion mill Police in the United Kingdom are investigating a woman for praying outside an abortion mill. It's the third time police have gone after Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, Director of the March for Life UK, over her silent prayers. West Midlands Police previously arrested her twice. Vaughan-Spruce won a settlement over the wrongful arrests worth about $17,500. However, officials continue to target her. Jeremiah Igunnubole, legal counsel for Alliance Defending Freedom International, said, “We will continue to robustly challenge this unjust censorship, and support Isabel's right to think and believe freely.” Could Supreme Court overturn homosexual marriage ruling? In the United States, Liberty Counsel recently asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review the case of a Christian county clerk. Kim Davis, the former Rowan County, Kentucky clerk, refused to issue marriage licenses to homosexual couples. She was the first victim to be jailed and sued following the infamous 2015 Obergefell ruling. The Supreme Court ruling legalized faux same-sex marriage nationwide. Liberty Counsel Founder and Chairman Mat Staver said, “Kim Davis' case underscores why the U.S. Supreme Court should overturn the wrongly decided Obergefell v. Hodges opinion because it threatens the religious liberty of Americans who believe that marriage is a sacred union between one man and one woman.” U.S. debt hits $37 trillion The U.S. national debt hit $37 trillion for the first time, according to a Tuesday report from the Treasury Department. The national debt is projected to reach 99% of the U.S. Gross Domestic Product this year which is the measure of the total economic activity within a country. The Peter G. Peterson Foundation noted that the debt amounts to $280,000 per household in America and is growing at over five billion dollars per day. Fewer Americans drink alcohol A survey from Gallup found that the percentage of Americans who use alcoholic beverages fell to a record low of 54 percent. Young adults are even less likely to drink alcohol at 50 percent.  And for the first time, over 50 percent of U.S. adults say drinking one or two alcoholic drinks a day is bad for one's health. That number is up from 28 percent in 2015. Young adults are even more likely to say drinking is bad for their health at 66 percent. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Indian jailor and guards beats five pastors Five pastors in central India were assaulted in custody last month.  It all began when a Hindu mob disrupted a church service. Authorities responded by arresting the pastors and slapping them with false charges of forced conversions! Then, the jailor and guards beat the ministers.  One pastor told Morning Star News, “They grabbed the opportunity, and without any trial or evidence beat us mercilessly, simply because we are Christians. … Here in Chhattisgarh [State], they are targeting all the smaller churches. … Hindu extremists target every private celebration taking place in Christian homes.” Please pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ in India. The country is ranked 11th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most difficult countries worldwide to be a Christian.  Proverbs 17:15 says, “He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD.” Armenia and Azerbaijan sign historic peace deal at White House The leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan signed a joint declaration for peace at the White House last Friday.  U.S. President Donald Trump called the agreement “historic” as it aims to end decades of conflict between the two southwestern Asian countries.  Armenia and Azerbaijan also signed economic agreements with the U.S., opening the region to American businesses.  Listen to comments from President Trump. TRUMP: “For more than 35 years, Armenia and Azerbaijan have fought a bitter conflict that resulted in tremendous suffering for both nations. They suffered gravely for so many years. Many tried to find a resolution. … They were unsuccessful. But with this accord, we've finally succeeded in making peace.” Trump cracks down on D.C. crime President Trump announced plans on Monday to crack down on crime in Washington, D.C. National Guard members arrived at the nation's capital yesterday. Trump also put the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia under federal control.  President Trump said, “This is Liberation Day in D.C. and we're going to take our capital back.” The White House noted, “If Washington, D.C. was a state, it would have the highest homicide rate of any state in the nation.” 415 hostile incidents against U.S. churches in 2024 The Family Research Council released their latest report on hostility against churches in the United States. Last year, American churches faced 415 hostile incidents. That's down from 485 incidents in 2023 but up from 50 incidents in 2018. Incidents included vandalism, arson, gun-related incidents, and bomb threats. Tony Perkins, the president of Family Research Council, remarked, “The American woke Left has been intentional in spreading its hostility toward the Christian faith throughout every corner of America. … Christians must … demand more from their government leaders when it comes to … preventing criminal acts targeting religious freedom.” 77th city becomes sanctuary for the unborn Life News reports that Douglassville, Texas became the 77th city in the U.S. to ban abortion last Tuesday.  The city council of Douglassville unanimously passed an ordinance to become a Sanctuary City for the Unborn. It also bans abortions on Douglassville residents, regardless of where the abortion takes place.  Pastor Heston McLaurin of Douglassville Fellowship Church said, “I thank the Lord for every step forward in defending the lives of unborn children. Proverbs 6:17 says that God hates ‘hands that shed innocent blood' and He is the defender of the helpless.” Americans get majority of calories from ultra-processed foods New data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that Americans get most of their calories from ultra-processed foods. Such foods include sandwiches and burgers, sweet bakery products, savory snacks, pizza, and sweetened beverages. Americans get 55 percent of their calories from these ultra-processed foods. That number rose to nearly 62 percent for kids through age 18. 438th baptism anniversary of Indian named Manteo And finally, today marks the 438th anniversary of the baptism of a notable Native American.  Manteo received baptism on August 13, 1587, into the Church of England on Roanoke Island. It was considered the first baptism in the new world and the first baptism of an Indian into the Church of England. The Algonquian Indian helped English settlers at Roanoke make it through a harsh winter in 1585. Manteo also became one of the first Indians to ever visit England. He is remembered as a stalwart friend of the English in the new world. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark African Muslims have killed 150,000 people in last 10 years A report from the Africa Center for Strategic Studies found militant Islamic groups have killed over 150,000 people across the continent in the last decade. Such groups killed 22,307 people in just the last year, a 60% increase from the previous year. Christian Daily International noted that a majority of them were Christians in West, East, and Central Africa.  The report highlighted violence in Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chad, Mali, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, and Somalia. Each country appears on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most dangerous countries to be a Christian.  Christian-majority countries have decreased A new report from Pew Research found the number of Christian-majority countries decreased between 2010 and 2020. The study found that 120 out of 201 countries had Christian majorities in 2020. That's down four countries from 2010.  The decrease in Christian-majority countries came with the rise of the religiously unaffiliated. Christians lost their majority status in the United Kingdom, Australia, France, and Uruguay. Meanwhile, the religiously unaffiliated have become the majority in Uruguay, the Netherlands, and New Zealand.  Psalm 33:12 says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.” Australia upholds ban on Christian doctor over pro-life, pro-heterosexual views Speaking of Australia, officials in the country recently upheld a ban on a Christian doctor for expressing his beliefs online. Dr. Jereth Kok is a general practitioner in Melbourne. He believed it was his duty to speak out on issues like abortion and sexually perverted lifestyles. However, the Medical Board of Australia suspended his medical license in 2019 after anonymous complaints about his social media posts. The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal upheld the suspension last month. The doctor, a born-again Christian, defended his stance, telling the tribunal he expressed these views on a Christian website, driven by his belief that “abortion is immoral” as a Christian and that he felt “required to speak out about the issue.”  And, on transgender surgeries, he called it  “medical butchery” and “sterilizing disfigurement to healthy young bodies.” Lyle Shelton with Australia's Family First Party commented on the case. He said, “This is about more than one man. It's about whether Australians — especially Christian and conservative professionals — are still free to express their views without losing their livelihoods.” Trump prohibits veterans' hospitals from killing babies In the United States, the Trump administration is reversing a Biden-era policy that allowed veterans' hospitals to perform abortions. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs published the proposed rule on Monday. The new rule will prohibit publicly-funded V.A. hospitals from killing unborn babies.  A statement from Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America said, “We thank President Trump and V.A. Secretary [Doug] Collins for restoring the rule of law and ending the Biden administration's illegal policy that forced taxpayers to fund abortions through V.A. hospitals and violated state pro-life laws.” Microsoft reached market capitalization of $4 trillion Microsoft became the second company to reach a market capitalization of $4 trillion last week. This comes shortly after Nvidia reached a $4 trillion market cap last month. Microsoft's latest growth was driven by its Azure cloud computing business. Nvidia and Microsoft have profited significantly from the rise of artificial intelligence technology. Meanwhile, Apple trails at third for most valuable company with a market cap of $3 trillion. American Bible Society: San Fran's Gen Zers more open to Christianity than elders The American Bible Society released a report on the religious views of people in the California's San Francisco Bay Area. The region skews younger, smarter, and wealthier than the rest of the United States. People are also less likely to identify as Christian and more likely to experience stress and anxiety. However, younger generations are more open to Christianity in the Bay Area compared to older generations there and even compared to their peers in the rest of America.  The study noted, “Though the Bay Area is home to fewer Christians and more atheists than the United States as a whole, the majority of people in the younger generations are curious, open, and even wish they read the Bible more.” 2 Timothy 3:15 says, “From childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” NASA planning to build nuclear reactor on moon And finally, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration is planning to build a nuclear reactor on the moon by 2030, reports Politico. Listen to comments from Interim NASA administrator Sean Duffy. DUFFY: “We're in a race to the moon, in a race with China to the moon, and to have a base on the moon, we need energy. Energy is important. And if we're going to be able to sustain life on the moon to then go to Mars, this technology is critically important.” A directive from Duffy stated, “Since March 2024, China and Russia have announced on at least three occasions a joint effort to place a reactor on the Moon by the mid-2030s. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Christians losing property rights in India, Nepal and Pakistan International Christian Concern reports Christians are losing their property rights and access to land in South Asian nations like India, Nepal, and Pakistan. In particular, India's second-most populous state of Maharashtra plans to demolish hundreds of church buildings within six months. Officials claim the structures are unauthorized, and many of them are in tribal areas.  The government also plans to enact an anti-conversion law. Such laws are often used to target Christians in the country. Currently, 12 of 28 states in India have anti-conversion laws. South Asian nations like India are ranked on the Open Doors' World Watch List as some of the most difficult places to live as a Christian.  World population growth slowing down Pew Research recently released world population projections for the next 75 years. The global population more than tripled over the last 75 years from 2.5 to 8.2 billion people. However, population growth is expected to slow down, only reaching 10.2 billion by 2100. Currently, the most populous countries in the world are China, India, and the U.S. China's population is expected to shrink by more than half over the next 75 years, while the U.S. and India are expected to grow slightly.    Global population growth is projected to primarily come from nations in Africa like Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, and Tanzania.  10th anniversary of undercover videos exposing Planned Parenthood This week marks 10 years since the Center for Medical Progress released their first undercover videos exposing Planned Parenthood. Executives for the abortion giant were caught discussing how they sold the body parts of murdered babies. The undercover investigation has contributed to efforts for defunding Planned Parenthood. Troy Newman, the president of Operation Rescue, served as a founding member on the board of the Center for Medical Progress. He said, “I am honored to have been a part of this historic investigation, even though it came at great personal cost to those of us involved in revealing the horrific truth about the illicit trade in aborted baby parts. Today's Planned Parenthood is vastly different from what it was in 2015. It is a weaker organization with waning political influence that is now collapsing from within.” Proverbs 6:17 says that among the seven things God hates are “haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood.” Trump threatens Russia with tariff to get peace deal with Ukraine In a public meeting with NATO General Secretary Mark Rutte at the White House, U.S. President Donald Trump threatened severe tariffs on Monday if Russia doesn't come to a peace deal with Ukraine in the next 50 days. TRUMP: “One of the reasons that you're here today is to hear that we are very unhappy, I am, with Russia. We're very, very unhappy with them. And we're going to be doing very severe tariffs if we don't have a deal in 50 days, tariffs at about 100%. You'd call them secondary tariffs. You know what that means.” (His comments occur at the :45 mark of this video) Trump also said the United States will sell top-of-the-line weapons to countries in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. In turn, NATO countries would then be able to provide such weapons like the Patriot air defense system to Ukraine.    Trump wants Federal Reserve to lower interest to save trillion dollars The U.S. consumer price index rose by 0.3% last month. That put the 12-month inflation rate at 2.7%. Prices have been generally decreasing over the last year, but the inflation rate is still above the Federal Reserve's target of 2%.  Trump responded to the news by calling on the Fed to lower interest rates by three points. He said this would save an estimated one trillion dollars on debt payments.  Bible readers most likely to volunteer in community And finally, the American Bible Society released the fourth chapter of its State of the Bible USA 2025 report. The chapter evaluated activities that promote wellbeing like physical exercise, spending time with a friend, volunteering in the community, meditation, and praying to God. The study found people who engage the most with the Bible are also the most likely to engage in those activities, especially volunteering in the community.  Such activities were also associated with higher levels of hope and lower levels of stress, anxiety, and loneliness. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Pakistani court acquitted two Christian teens of false blasphemy charges A court in Pakistan acquitted two Christians of false blasphemy charges against Islam on Tuesday.  Adil Babar and Simon Nadeem, 18 and 14 years old respectively, were charged and arrested in 2023. A court advocate for the Christian young men told Morning Star News, “There's a dire need to make procedural reforms in cases involving blasphemy to protect the victims, a majority of whom are declared innocent after years of court proceedings and imprisonment.” Sadly, these kind of false blasphemy charges are weaponized against Christians in the Muslim-majority country. Pakistan is ranked eighth on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most difficult places to be a Christian.  Reformed pastors to call U.K. Parliament to repent over abortion, euthanasia laws A group of Reformed ministers are prepared to call the U.K. parliament to repent next Tuesday, July 15. Christian leaders with UK Gospel Witness plan to proclaim the Gospel and call the government to repentance. In particular, the organizers lament recent legislation on the Assisted Dying Law and New Abortion Law.  The event's Facebook page says, “It is our firm conviction that this is a time for God-fearing Christians to unite together and make a public stand and proclamation of Gospel truth in the face of such evil.” Lamentations 3:40-41 says, “Let us search out and examine our ways, and turn back to the LORD; let us lift our hearts and hands to God in Heaven.” Samaritan's Purse deploying teams to flood-ravaged Texas In the United States, Christian ministries are deploying relief teams to central Texas in the wake of devastating flooding. Authorities confirmed 119 people have died from the flash floods, and at least 150 people are missing in Kerr County. Samaritan's Purse is sending disaster relief teams to the area. Rev. We love you. We honor you. In Jesus' name Amen.” Planned Parenthood closes Cleveland abortion mill Planned Parenthood is permanently closing one of its locations in Cleveland, Ohio. The abortion mill blamed funding cuts from the Trump administration, ending over a decade of its killing business. Cleveland Right to Life responded to the closure by “thanking God for the legislators who stood up to the most-evil organization of our time, Planned Parenthood.” China owns 265,000 acres of American farmland; Trump says, “No more!” The Trump administration announced its National Farm Security Action Plan on Tuesday. Specifically, the U.S. Department of Agriculture is banning foreign adversaries, including Chinese nationals, from buying American farmland.  An infographic from the White House shows that China already owns over 265,000 acres of U.S. farmland. Much of that land is located near U.S. military bases.  Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said, “We feed the world. We lead the world. And we'll never let foreign adversaries control our land, our labs, or our livelihoods.” Church discipline rarely practiced in Protestant churches And finally, new data from Lifeway Research shows church discipline is rarely practiced in Protestant churches. Fifty-four percent of pastors said their church has not formally disciplined a member since they became pastor or prior as far as they know. Nevertheless, about 80% of churches have policies for formal discipline.  Scott McConnell, executive director of Lifeway Research, said, “The infrequency of church discipline is not because church members aren't sinning. Church discipline typically occurs when a member is not repentant for a sin or is no longer qualified for a role because of sin.” Ephesians 5:11-13 says, “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.
