On this episode of the podcast, host Amanda Head talks with 40 Days for Life President and CEO Shawn Carney. The conversation is a deep dive into the pro-life movement's ongoing efforts to close abortion facilities and save lives. They explore the significant impact of 40 Days for Life, the power of ecumenical cooperation, and the movement's role in reducing abortion rates. The discussion also covers the potential influence of abortion on the 2024 election. Carney says, "we've never had a presidential candidate, pro-life or pro-abortion, make abortion the number one issue." He goes on to tell Head, that this is an 'unproven strategy,' especially when "abortion is not the number one topic for voters." However, Carney believes that the issue is 'all Kamala has to run on.' Their conversation also digs deeper into the Department of Justice's alleged overreach in pro-life cases, and the contentious issue of transgender athletes in women's sports.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

One week ago, on Jan. 20, thousands of pro-lifers marched in the nation's capital for the annual March for Life. The march was the first since Roe v. Wade was overturned last June because of the decision in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization case. "Well, when Roe v. Wade came down in 1973, what that decision did was legalize abortion in all 50 states, and so the march, of course, began as a response to that," Jeanne Mancini, president of March for Life, says of why the national march is still important despite the life issue being a state issue."But you fast forward 50 years and the overturn of Roe with the Dobbs decision in June doesn't make abortion illegal throughout all the country, and certainly it doesn't make it unthinkable," Mancini says. Mancini joins "The Daily Signal Podcast" to further discuss the pro-life movement, her message for the marchers in the states, and what she thinks is next for the pro-life movement. Hosted on Acast. Short of an explanation from the campaign on Joe O'Dea's 'medical necessity' late-term abortion exception, which this show has been requesting for days, Dan can only conclude that the Republican candidate for Senate supports legal abortion up to birth as a woman's choice with her doctor. Ryan then asks Dan how Donald Trump made the journey from a pro-choice private citizen to a pro-life Republican President who helped tip the Supreme Court scales to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Living with.. "Charcot Marie Tooth" disease (or CMT) is a deeply moving story of Lynn Bullock -- PA to Ellie Lindsay, Life President of the LLCF (Lindsay Leg Club Foundation) and a member of the Social Media and Communications (SM&C) committee. In Episode 5, Lynn presents, in her own words, a personal story about her long term condition known as "Charcot Marie Tooth disease" -- one of the most common inherited diseases. Symptoms can show from childhood, the other extreme is having CMT but not showing any signs or very few. Physical signs are shown in the legs, feet and hands. Walking can be difficult, and you can lose dexterity in your hands. The mental challenges can include: fear of the future, frustration in not being able to complete everyday tasks, attitude of others. People with long term conditions wish to be treated as ‘normal people'; a polite request to everyone across society including those in the medical profession who need to acknowledge that a person with CMT is a human being -- not just a person with a physical problem. Is this episode of Life Matters Brian interviews National Right to Life President, Carol Tobias. They discuss in depth the dramatic change to the culture of Washington D.C. in the agenda of the Biden/Harris administration. President Biden has made a commitment to undo all of the pro-life gains won by President Donald Trump. But in addition to that, Biden intends to go much further. Up until his decision to run for president, Senator Joe Biden had supported the Hyde amendment which prohibits federal funds from being used for abortion or to promote abortion. Biden’s dramatic decision to flip-flop on this final pro-life issue, places him firmly in the camp of radical abortion advocates. He now supports unlimited advocacy and funding for all abortions. In addition, the famous Mexico City policy, a policy of the Ronald Reagan era, has now been rescinded by the Biden administration. It is critical to note that the Mexico City policy which deals with the international funding of abortion and his promotion through various UN and other outlets, prohibited organizations from forcing abortion ideology onto various countries around the world. These countries, formerly referred to as “third world,” are often blackmailed into both accepting abortion into their laws and culture, but also funding agencies which promote abortion throughout their population. “Population control” advocates use abortion as one more form of birth control and are more than willing to use the power of the United States government and the United Nations and multiple billions of dollars in leverage, to force nations to go against their traditional values and religious sentiments if they are to except other foreign aid. This is a form of abortion colonialism. Carol speaks at length about other issues that could bring great change should they be adopted. The possibility of court packing, i.e. appointing a number of new pro-abortion justices, creating new states out of the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico - each of these acts would give the Democrat party two new United States senators cementing abortion policy into federal law for decades to come. Carol also discusses the resurrection of the long dead issue, Equal Rights amendment. Constitutionally speaking, the attempt to amend the constitution with ERA failed in the 70s and a second attempt to revive it in the 80s came to nought. (Brian discusses this in much greater detail in his upcoming interview with Douglas Johnson). Pro-life advocates will need to be particularly attentive to action items that impact the federal government contacting their representatives in raising their voice as the new radically pro-abortion Biden administration seeks to implement itself on our nation. It is our job to raise our voices on behalf of those that cannot speak for themselves
