For most of this show, we hear from speakers and attendees we interviewed at the April 5th National March on Washington to Stop the Genocide in Gaza and Stop the Repression here at home. Then we speak to our geopolitical analyst Gerald Horne for part one of this month's episode of the F-Word on Fascism. Horne takes the pulse of this moment of seemingly nonstop chaos of tariffs, brewing cold war with China, brewing hot war with Iran, hands off rallies against the Trump agenda, and so much more.  The show is made possible only by our volunteer energy, our resolve to keep the people's voices on the air, and by support from our listeners. As rich with the music and culture of the period as it is with the politics, the hour traces the event from the initial planning conference and some activists' heartfelt and sometimes humorous cross-country trip to D.C. on a “Freedom Train” to the big day itself, and its coverage (or lack thereof) in the conventional media. There's a reason why October is LGBTQ History Month. The community historically laid claim to it with a 1979 event in the U.S. capitol. Just ten years after Stonewall and long before the age of acronyms, the massive October 1979 march and rally for LGBTQ rights surpassed all expectations — for good and for ill. It's Wednesday, September 4th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark 55,000 Nigerians killed between 2019 and 2023 The Observatory for Religious Freedom in Africa released a report last month on Christian persecution in Nigeria.  Violence in the country has taken the lives of over 55,000 people between 2019 and 2023. Of those, over 30,000 were civilians, including 16,769 Christians. Radical Muslim Fulani herdsmen were responsible for over half of the Christian deaths. The observatory noted, “In states where attacks occur, proportional loss to Christian communities is exceptionally high. In terms of state populations, 6.5 times as many Christians are being murdered as Muslims.” Please pray for the persecuted church in Nigeria, ranked 6th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of nations where it is most dangerous to be a Christian.  Psalm 14:4, 7 asks, “Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up My people as they eat bread, and do not call on the LORD? … Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD brings back the captivity of His people.” People looking for leaders who will champion religious freedom Pew Research released a survey finding people around the world want leaders who stand up for religious freedom. In the U.S., 64% of adults said it is important to have a leader who stands up for people who share the respondents' religious beliefs. A majority of people in most other countries surveyed said the same thing.  Countries with high levels of support for leaders sharing their religious beliefs included Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, India, and Kenya. Countries with the lowest levels of support for this included France, South Korea, Japan, Spain, and Sweden.  7,500 pro-lifers attend India's March for Life Pro-lifers in India held their 2024 National March for Life last month.  The event took place in the southern city of Thrissur and drew over 7,500 people. It was the country's largest March for Life. India legalized abortion back in 1971. Now, mothers in the country kill 15 million of their pre-born children per year.  Bishop Gerald John Mathias attended the recent march and told Life Site News, “I'm grateful to the youth, particularly the youth taking interest. It's most encouraging for the future of the Church, future of the society, future of families.”  Donald Trump champions in vitro fertilization In the United States, former President Donald Trump said he would make in-vitro fertilization (IVF) free for Americans if he is elected. Last Thursday, Trump told NBC News' Dasha Burns “it's helping women [be] able to have a baby....We need great children, beautiful children in our country.”  Here's a soundbite from that interview. TRUMP: “So, we are paying for that treatment.” BURNS: “All Americans who want it?” TRUMP: “All Americans that get it; all Americans that need it. So, we're going to be paying for that treatment, or we're going to be mandating that the insurance company pays.” However, many oppose in vitro fertilization as undermining pro-life goals. CatholicVote noted, “We are opposed to any In Vitro Fertilization mandate and will work with [Trump] and his administration to make clear that IVF puts women at risk, and destroys countless innocent living human embryos.” Only 54% of Protestant Evangelical attend church in person Lifeway Research published analysis of a 2024 report by Grey Matter Research and Infinity Concepts entitled “Church After COVID.” The report found only 54 percent of Protestant Evangelicals attend church in-person every week. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic nearly 90 percent of Evangelicals were attending semi-regularly.  Online viewing of services has increased; however, many of those engaging online are also attending in person. The study also found about a quarter of churchgoers started attending their current church since the pandemic, marking significant changes in the makeup of churches post-COVID. Hebrews 10:24-25 says, “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” Archeological find from Biblical Jerusalem affirms Scripture And finally, the Israeli Antiquities Authority announced the discovery of a stone seal at the City of David National Park in Jerusalem. Archaeologists believe it is from the First Temple period, around 2,700 years old.  The seal bears a name inscribed in Old Hebrew script and a winged figure associated with pagan Neo-Assyrian influences. Ze'ev Orenstein with the City of David Foundation told Fox News the seal “joins the list of countless archeological discoveries in the City of David — the historic site of Biblical Jerusalem — affirming Jerusalem's Biblical heritage.”  Close And that's The Worldview on this Wednesday, September 4th, in the year of our Lord 2024. Subscribe by Amazon Music or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com. It's Wednesday, May 8th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Religious Freedom Commission warns State Dept about 17 countries The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom released its annual report last Wednesday. The commission makes recommendations to the U.S. State Department about which nations should be designated as Countries of Particular Concern. Such countries are considered the worst violators of religious freedom. The latest report recommends 17 countries for the designation, including China, India, Iran, North Korea, Russia, and Myanmar (formerly known as Burma). The Religious Freedom Commission lamented that the State Department has still not designated India as a Country of Particular Concern. Christians faced at least 687 incidents of violence last year in India.  Matthew 5:10 says, “Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.” Thousands of Columbians march for life Over the weekend, thousands of people joined the 18th National March for Life across over 100 cities and towns in Colombia. In 2022, the Constitutional Court of the South American country ruled in favor of killing unborn babies up to 24 weeks of pregnancy. This follows a trend of South and Central American countries caving to international pressure by decriminalizing abortion. Jesús Magaña with United for Life attended the recent march. He said, “We are unwilling to remain silent and stand by in the face of the largest massacre in the country.” 15 GOP-led states oppose Biden's sexually perverted agenda In the U.S., more and more states are opposing the Biden administration's support for sexually perverted lifestyles.  New regulations from the Education Department protect students on the basis of their so-called gender identity and sexual orientation.  At least 15 Republican-led states challenged the regulations in court. And at least seven say they will not follow the new rules. Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders wrote in an executive order, “The Biden administration's facially absurd redefinition of sex in Title IX turns back the clock on women's opportunities, erodes student privacy, threatens women's sports, and erases women.” Isaiah 5:20 says, “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness.” Southern Baptist membership dropped by 241,000 The Southern Baptist Convention released its Annual Church Profile this month.  Membership in the largest U.S. Protestant denomination fell by 241,000 people last year. Membership is now below 13 million for the first time since the 1970s. It's also the 17th year of decline in a row. However, weekly service attendance increased to 4 million last year. And baptisms were up 26%. California witnessed a 248% increase in baptisms over the previous year. Boy Scouts changes name to “Scouting America” The Boy Scouts of America is changing its name for the first time since its founding in 1914.  The organization is rebranding to Scouting America after facing bankruptcy and abuse scandals.  The Boy Scouts allowed girls to join in 2019. This followed allowing homosexual youth and scout leaders. The organization has dropped to just over one million members, down from over two million in 2018. 2,000 anti-Israel college students arrested Police have arrested over 2,000 protesters in recent weeks at universities across America.  Demonstrators are supporting Palestinians and opposing Israel's response to the October 7th attack by Hamas, the Muslim terrorist group. Protestors formed tent encampments at colleges and even took over parts of school buildings. One of the schools was Columbia University in New York City. Thirteen federal judges accused the school of becoming an incubator of bigotry, antisemitism, and violence. The conservative judges said they would not be hiring law school students from Columbia University.  Federal Reserve won't cut interest rates The Federal Reserve decided against cutting interest rates last week. The central bank left its short-term borrowing rate at 5.25%-5.5% which is the same rate it has been since July 2023.  The Fed noted, “The Committee does not expect it will be appropriate to reduce the target range until it has gained greater confidence that inflation is moving sustainably toward 2 percent.” Boy survives getting sucked 25 feet into sky by tornado And finally, a Texas family is giving thanks for an absolute miracle. A tornado struck their home recently, reports KWTX-TV. Wes and Kasey Lambert, along with their daughter, Allie, and son, Lane, took cover in a closet. During the commotion, Lane got sucked up 25 feet in the air by the tornado.  KASEY: “I remember hearing glass break. And then I remember hearing bricks coming down, and they were coming down on top of us. At that point, the suction became so strong it sucked Lane from Wes' arms.” The 7-year-old boy told the TV station what the tornado did to him. LANE: “It picked me up about 25 feet!" In God's providence, the family found him on top of some insulation in another part of the house after the tornado passed. Lane suffered a dislocated shoulder and had severe injuries to his face and eyes which caused heavy bleeding. They believe a brick might have hit him during his airborne experience. While Wes and Kasey suffered other minor injuries and the house is considered a total loss, they are thankful to God to be alive. As the abortion industry and many politicians look to put abortion into state constitutions, many in the pro-life movement seek to redefine the debate. Christina Fadden is president of Syracuse Right to Life. The day after the National March for Life in DC, that group and its partners held a local rally and March for the Onandaga County region. The Syracuse March (held Saturday, January 20) is the longest-running march in New York State. In this Family Life interview leading up to that event, Fadden talks about the "right" to have an abortion, and how that belief system has become embedded in many people's thoughts and much of the media coverage. Local groups are working to clarify and correct the terms, so that people go beyond a "right to choose" and more toward "human rights" for everyone, including unborn children. Gaza and Yarmouk: forbidden symmetry

As Israel crosses the genocidal threshold in Gaza, a regional summit in Riyadh protests, and issues an urgent call for a ceasefire. Yet the regional powers at that summit are guilty of equivalent crimes—Saudi Arabia in Yemen, and Iran and the Bashar Assad regime in Syria. Assad's propaganda chief Bouthaina Shaaban especially decried Israel's targeting of hospitals in Gaza. Yet as recently as last month, the Assad regime bombed hospitals in Syria's rebel-held north. Indeed, the Assad regime also savagely bombed and besieged Palestinians for months, at Yarmouk refugee camp outside Damascus. In Episode 200 of the CounterVortex podcast, Bill Weinberg notes with chagrin that key organizers of this month's National March on Washington for Palestine included pseudo-left "tankie" formations that actively support the genocidal Assad regime. They also now abet Russia's genocidal campaign in Ukraine, in which hospitals have been repeatedly targeted. This moral contradiction undercuts our effectiveness in advancing the urgent demand for a ceasefire in Gaza. Bain, et al., recorded on the ground just before the National March in Florida to Protect Trans Youth and a Speakout for Trans Lives that took place in Orlando on October 7. Hundreds turned out to protest the state's violent and unconstitutional laws and spoke out against the wave of anti-trans bills, which attendees linked to a longstanding history of capitalist and imperialist domination in this country. Ahead of the march, participants in this historic grassroots movement worried about their ability to safely express their opposition to the anti-trans and anti-queer legislation passed by the Florida Legislature and signed by Governor Ron DeSantis due to Florida “Bathroom Ban”, which prevents transgender, gender nonconforming, and certain kinds of intersex people from accessing a restroom in line with their gender because it defines sex as one's anatomy and naturally occurring hormones at birth.Plaintiffs discuss the movement in support of LGBTQIA+ people, its historical and contemporary contexts, bringing to the discussion their personal motivations for joining the movement, and uplift ways that they continue to center trans joy in this  moment.Speakers:Melinda Butterfield, a 52-year-old transgender woman from New York CityAnaïs Kochan, is a 52-year-old transgender woman from BostonTsukuru Fors, a 52-year-old nonbinary person from West Hollywood, CaliforniaLindsey Spero, a 26-year-old non-binary person from Pinellas County, FloridaChristynne Wood, a 67-year-old transgender woman from Lakeside, CaliforniaModerator:Zee Scout, Bertha Justice Fellow

After walking through the economic exposé, Silverman parses through the uncovering of the farce of SBF's philosophy of “effective altruism,” and the expansive ties of FTX's funds, before wrapping up with why this disaster hasn't tainted the crypto industry as much as would be expected. War Room host Steve Bannon brings an urgent message of a Church in Crisis in a brand-new episode of The John-Henry Westen Show — sounding the alarm against Church leadership and the quick decline of Western Christian culture. The Culture of Life is trying to save a non-Christian Western world from falling into an anti-Christian dictatorship filled with: abortion on demand, transgender mutilation, Satan clubs in school, and woke propaganda in books, entertainment, and technology. The anti-Christian movement has already infiltrated schools, universities, and neighborhoods across America — even in the seats of government. The crisis in the Church continues as the anti-Christian activists wage war against conservative valuesCampaign Life Coalition was forced to remove images of babies killed by abortion during a National March for Life press conference on May 10 on Canada's Parliament Hill in Ottawa.. Anti-Christian activists are now pushing for LGBT and transhuman agendas, culminating in the New World Order, which, once achieved, will stop at nothing from targeting and silencing Christian opposition. The war is escalating, and Steve Bannon's urgent message is perhaps the most important status update in the fight to build a Culture of Life.LOVE LIFESITE? LOVE BEING PRO-LIFE?
