Are you helping your son or daughter with the college admissions process? We are really excited about today's podcast as we reached out to Dad's to get their take on the college search process with their kids - what was helpful, what was not, what they wished they had to make the journey easier from the college search and visit perspective. When I was growing up my parents provided moral support and financial support but other than that, they were not overly involved in the process. In fact, I went to visit some colleges on my own! Days have changed. We wanted to hear from Dad's who have been there and done that to get their perspective on what worked, what did not, what they wish they could do over again, what resources were especially helpful and what was not. What tips do they have for someone going through the process for the 1st time? We will have a Mom's series as well. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/college-scoops/support
Listen in today as Randy talks with John Gregg who discusses some successfully implemented innovative practrice models that are creating new integrations and new revenue models.
In 1940, John Steinbeck, the author of Of Mice and Men and The Grapes of Wrath, chartered the fishing vessel Western Flyer. With his best friend, marine biologist Ed Ricketts, the author sailed to Mexico's Sea of Cortez on a six-week journey that yielded a pioneering book about the fledgling scientific disciplines of ecology and marine conservation. Seventy fives years later in February of 2015, a marine geologist with a life-long interest in Steinbeck and Ricketts, named John Gregg bought the Western Flyer. He then started the Western Flyer Foundation to specialize in merging the arts and science together in a holistic approach to learning and hopefully inspire the next generation of biologists, environmentalists, artists and researchers.

John R. Gregg is an historian, a writer, researcher, educator, and traveler. He has had a lifelong fascination for the beliefs and practices of peoples worldwide. He has taught World Civilization, Anthropology, American History, and Native American History and Culture, at the University of Florida, University of North Florida, and other universities. He has lived, worked and travelled extensively in Asia, and North and South America , studying religious and cultural practices throughout the world. He is the author of Sex, the Illustrated History: Through Time, Religion and Culture, Volume 1. This is from his website: “Sex, The Illustrated History, Volume I, begins a daring exploration of human sexuality from the ancient to the modern world. Revealed are sexual practices and beliefs previously omitted or obscured from all historical telling. In a scathing condemnation of religion and its control of sex, John Gregg explores complex relationships between spirituality and sexuality. The supremacy of the mother goddess throughout most of human existence, and her relatively recent fall, is detailed in both word and image. These pages share graphic erotic art works and explicit literary excerpts, painstakingly culled from the hidden treasure trove of cultures throughout history. Sex, The Illustrated History, traces sexual attitudes from the transcendent to the bizarre throughout the worlds’ cultures. The often explicit illustrations are linked by historical and anthropological content, inviting the reader to experience sexuality through varied and often shocking cultural lenses. Over 300 images have been gathered by the author, in his travels and studies of world cultures. An encyclopedic tour of the sexuality of humankind!”
